Ooh i've never posted a thread in this forum before. Anywho..

In Birmingham there is an area called Yardely and whenever i'm here or just pasing through i can sense bad vibes =O i've only experienced this once before and that is in a Cemetery in the City Centre here. I always feel so down when i'm in either one of these places, it's as if i'm not wanted here, somethings pushing me away.

So i just wanted to know if you feel negative energy from a certain place too?

I get those eerie feelings every night as I pass this one house on the way to work. I don't find that I get them in the morning when I come home. It's just weird I don't know what it is about that house.

Yes I have and only at night or the pre-dawn hours. I've avoided these areas since.

I guess what you are feeling at these gravr yards, could just be happening because it is a grave yard, I am not sure of what else to tell you.

sorry about that...I know what you mean about negative energy...Theres a place that i pass to & from work, i cant explain it..but whenever i pass it, i always get a cold shiver down my spine & goosebumps....plus my stomach goes all weird...but it never happens, only when i pass that place...i've heard rumours that its haunted, someone was murdered there years back & the ghost thing i guess is angry!

I get that at my mom's place on the small island she has in the middle of her lake, she has a light tower and I can barely enter the first floor, it has 3, there is so much bad energy it makes me almost sick and every time I get easly spook, my senss are on the alert and my skind has red spots since I shiver so much, I avoid this place I sugest you try to do the same, these places have a bad spirit that is angry and knows you can sens them or see them adn they dont want to, they was to stay there and do as they please, your presence is disturbing them this is why they push you and send you bad energy.

I find that most areas have a place that gives off bad energy. Kids might avoid it or it might send shivers down your spine. I believe that people are more likely to feel negative energy and thus recognise those areas easier.

you most certainly can particularly if your of positive nature,because negative energy can dampen the spirit.and when you dont live in a place,but you visit.you feel it.

While there have been a few places I have "picked up" negative energy from I find that there seems to be more eminateing from people.I use that energy for my writing.Why waste it?Afterall , it's still energy and we can feed off of it.

just like postive energy that some places give you, There is also the bad energy which drains our souls and gives us this eerie or upsitting feeling. Several times I have felt this. pass by quickly or find another way around to avoid this place, negative energy is a soul stealer.

For me the graveyard is a nice place, without any negative energy, I can`t remember any place what makes me feel there is negatice energy

urrgh, you know, this reminded me of something..

I was in a restaurant the other day,with a friend..
After a little while, I just felt so drained. The company was Ace, but this place just seemed INCREDIBLY oppressive.

Could have been that the Manager was a Narcissistic Wanker and that rubbed off on to the staff, which gave off, negative vibes.. I really didn't like his flow, as he was using his position as a penis extender.. Whoop D Doo.. bar manager! I watched his body language and How he spoke to staff.

As soon as i Left the building, I felt better, but I was just urrrgh.. Drained in there.

People at holidays shopping gives me much negativity, for they are ready for the holidays to be over and are stressing over little stuff. negativity can bounce from one person to another, as well as a place or certain site.

I absolutely believe that there can be “sinks” of positive and negative energy associated with a place. An experience I remember was going into the dungeon at Warwick castle (I pretty sure that was the name) and feeling a horrible feeling I could not shake. I also remember seeing crosses that had been “carved” into the stone by shackled prisoners…could not get out of there fast enough.

In certain areas where I am from I can walk threw them and I get a sharp stabbing pain in my chest but as soon as I leave that area the pain subsides.

Well I am From New Jersey and there is a Distillary her It is called the Black knight distillary When you go near the place you can sense evil spirits in there

BloodySun.. Yeh i can usually sit in a graveyard for hours as it's relly nice and peaceful here even a busy road just outside one you can't even hear from inside the Cemetery Grounds.. It's quite weird actually. But yeh it's just the Cemetery in town that i don't tend to visit often ast i stated at the beginning..

I get it at my mother in laws house, for two reasons, one she is very negative and two the whole neighborhood kind of creeps me. Not sure why it just does.

I do believe it can happen, if something bad has taken place there at one point in time.

yes, i have had that happen at places. i tend to just avoid them if possible, it could be nothing more then the people around there giving off the negative energy. i would stay away if you can.

Yes I have come across lots of places with that feel of very negative energy, mostly while flat hunting for myself or for friends. Just walking in the door tells me if its a good or bad place. I have even been in a block of apartments that were full of positive energy that suddenly went bad due to a very negative minded individual.

Our last house was like that it was always cool but the last yr we were there we all just started arguing and the more we argued the more the house seem to thrive on it,

negitive energy exist everywhere but as far as reeling it different ppl interpet things differently. i for one can feel it but thats normally a sign of a distressed spirit that has unfinished business here on earth. but the negitive energy can be released and leave u feeling a sense of accomplishment when u help these spirits.

Well, i give off negative energy all the time and people generally stay away from me as a result of it. I don't half get some funny looks from other witches sometimes, and the occasional nod from others who give off negative energy.

I have to say though, i do not understand why i give off negative energy as I am a neutral witch and in that perform both positive and negative acts.

I always feel negative energy when entering "small" bars or saloons. Bigger establishments I don't get that feeling.

I will also say that I too give off negative energy, but not by choice. People always say I look mean, but I can't change the contours of my face, that's just how I look naturally relaxed. Most of the time if I'm out in public, I will have to force myself to smile more often so people don't feel so uncomfortable around me.

I've never felt bad energy in a specific place, but around certain people, yes. Stand next to a drug user. It'll make your hairs stand on end.

I always feel negative energy around me no matter where i am, it is rare if i feel positive energy around me...

There is a house down the street from me that gives my daughter and myself cold shivers, I dont know what it is about that house but I dont like it!

There could be an entity imprisoned or somewhat trapped there. Sould can get confused sometimes and deny to leave the life they have lived.

The two bedrooms upstairs in the house I live in. I don't ever go up there, there is a strange closet in one of the bedrooms that is oddly shaped with yellowing-peeling wallpaper with an even smaller strange door panel at the back. It was painted shut but will pop open on its own accord... shrug.. I just leave it alone.

I get those kinds of feelings at random. Usually at dusk. There's no place that it occurs particularly. Just randomly, it varies in intensity too. Sometimes it'll be a dull headache of a feeling, other times a full blown New Year's hangover. All bad, mhm.

I used to get that feeling.. well or one like it.. it was a bit stronger. not simply unwanted. But more of an active loathing ... It was in a town in So Cali near where I used to live. And I had to go there about 4 or 5 times a week for work lol my boss loved sending me on those calls cause I was there and gone so fast lol.

I have learned to avoid places I get bad vibes from. It either means one of two things for me.. one ( the one I always hope for) that something very bad happened there.. or two something very bad is going to... and hnestally if its the latter I would rather not be around.

yeah the reason you probaly feel bad energy there is because there is a 70% chance of someone robbing you. but seriously people usally feel negative energy from places or people they have had bad experencis with.

Why does a graveyard give negative energy?? I don't feel it....it's more relaxing I find.....

Well ofcourse. :) From my ex's lol. But to be serious, If you ready the story that I posted in the ghost hunting thread. The place in that story, when you go any where near it you can just tell its bad. You can feel it through out your whole body.

i'm not sure. sometimes i get negative energy from my mother. buuut, that's not a place.

Yeh Lav, the Cemetery intown is one where people meet up as it is set out with benches and shizzle it's quite an old Cemetrey with a Big Church in the centre, i only go there to meet people then get away from it as quick as i can. But yeh usually a Cemertey is really nice and peaceful, i love staying in the one near my friend's house Steph, it's really nice to just sit in there and stay quiet. It's very beautiful too.
And yeh Deadly Viper getting robbed lmao, yeh i've had many bad experiences in Yardley anyway so that could be a reason for feeling negative energy there. Fankinyoo for all the posts =] xx

I have felt the same thing just recently when I went through a cemetery. The day after that I found out that my grandfather was about to pass away. I usually never go near cemeteries and the one time I do I find out that someone close to me is dying. This isn't the fist time it has happened to me.

I got a bad feeling when I went to the local humane society. I found out later that they are very dirty there and end up having to put all the animals down quite frequently due to break outs. So it's like an pet slaughterhouse/cemetary. Sick!

I've gotten tose kinds of feelings before as well, but the feeling of being pushed away has only happened 2 or 3 times in this life time

Mmm weird...I've never felt that before. It must be a pretty bad feeling though...I get it from people, actually, not places sometimes. There's just something about people that I sense and I try to avoid them.

From my understanding, anything can give off a negative energy or vibe. Some people are more sensitive than others to their surroundings or the area they are in at the time.

I get the same feeling around a couple of places here and sometimes people. Unfortunately, when it comes to places, my curiosity gets the best of me and I decide that I want to know more, sometimes even explore it.

when i pass a graveyard, i dont get negative feelings at all either..just a soothing feeling but certain places in a house i get a weird feeling, negative in a way, but not enought to scare me or even harm one..hard to explain and at times at a certain place i do feel drained for some reason..shrugs oh well again this is my thoughts

I believe a piece of ground or place holds a memory in time, much like a photograph holds a picture.And the energy just keeps replaying that negative energy or memory.Esp.places such as cemetaries or battlefields hold so much passion, fear,pain and death.The energy is trapped there.

I feel negative energy everywhere, but i have always wondered why a lot of people feel negative energy around cemetaries at night, not in the light but in the darkness...

I got that from lots of places:

The basement from my great Uncle's house, it was horrible, there was this door that I couldn't even go near.
This apartment building, and the grounds.
Many other places.

I'm not quite sure what went down in either place, but it was nasty.

I feel it in lots of places as well, and from people too. I always try to zone in on the place/person so i can figure out what exactly is making me feel it. I just like to know, Plus i find that it helps with making it less scary sometimes.

Sometimes, if I'm at certain places, I get these feelings of negative energies, almost like something is telling me I should leave, like I'm not supposed to or shouldn't be there.

I just wish these feelings would hit me before I got to these places, as sometimes it's embarrassing to try and think up excuses to leave (you know nobody ever believes "I feel negative energies here")

with this i feel no matter how strong you /we are with what is considered spooky things wether afrade of it or not.. we feel/know in our sub minds to feel that way and exspecially at night well feel this way for that in sceary movies all the things happen mainly the boogie man and ect ect as children we feel we see things and look under our beds at night ect ect so i feel its just something in our sub minds that we all have... do hope this is understandable

i think it just depends on how well a person has developed their senses on what and how they feel,but i think it is possible that some entities dislike being disturbed..

i usually feel negative energy from people not from places. but there is this one church that seems to weigh a heavey burden on me. kinda reminds me of children of the corn, that kind of energy. doesnt freak me out or anything but interests me lol.

as far as myself with negtive energy is when i am alone... and from certain people can this be because i know i dont like to be alone or can this be when things haunt me

I believe there is the ability to feel the negative energy but more its yourself telling you that you should not be there that gut feeling that you are always suppose to trust

That actually happens to me at least once a day. I live in Florence AL and a lot of the places in downtown are haunted. It seems that if you turn a corner here there is another building with another story of a brutal murder or a otherwise horrible death. There is this one particular place that has currently started giving off negative energy for miles. It is beside large plantation house that burned down and all that was left was the columns. No one was killed in the fire but the family abandoned the place and there is an old slave graveyard back in the woods. Well that graveyard was already negative enough, can't blame them, but our stupid city decided to go and rip up the grave stones and try to use the land for residential purposes. I extend my greatest sympathy to and unknowing people who move into a home built on top of a disturbed, desecrated cemetary. Oh well it just goes to show that the world is going to shit. I have never experienced negative energy in specific areas or buildings, more in the atmosphere or in certain people... I suppose that is quite common though, when you're intuitive you can often sense a person's negative feelings towards you, or that "negative vibe" hanging in the air after someone has just had a row...

I get those vibs from areas that have had alot of bloodshead. It helps me learn the history but it feels awful anytime I'm around

It is interesting how some areas are more predisposed to destructive currents and some more benificial currents. Mostly by what surrounds, and events that enhance that current over the other.

I find that the worst places for negative energy are around hospitals. I have a hosp near me that does have a bridge next to it, and I get the worst feeling of negativity energy there. It is by far the worst one I know of from my travels.

I always feel negitive energy when I go places. It also depends upon the area. Like in the towns I have lived in and the apartments..There have been times I have gotten so sick because of the Negitive energ I live in Texas and the Trails of Tears is not far from where I live..And I see ghost...And alot of them are angry so there negitive energy projects to thoughs around the area..

i've gotten very negative vibes in certain places ..not by my house but near the woods.. yeah i know in the woods you always get the feeling you're being watched but something different happens..i get sick to my stomach and as soon as i get away from that section i feel fine

In my friends laundry room, no matter what time of day or night it is, it feels very unsettling. =/

And in my old house and my old room, it always felt heavy. -.-

I do believe in it....or should i say i have to.The last house in which i stayed in had a lot of negative energy.Me and both my roommates went under crazy depression for over a year.The day we shifted to a new flat was like starting a new life all over again.People said my old house was haunted.Apparently 6 people died in that building....

I can't think of anyplace off hand. But then again, 1/2 the time I'm just surrounded by it anyway between my dad at times and work and a lot of times even my own brother. So I can never really narrow down a specific place. Though I do think the Old Carbon County Prison where I live is probably one...for any of those that know the story/history of the Molly Maguires. And that fact that in the basement was the solitary confinement...so nothing fun down there. I'm pretty sure just about any prison that's not in use anymore would be a major center of negativity.

I get negative vibes from people like the evil troll that lives under me(downstairs).

I actually lived in an apartment that the energy being that lived there didn't like me. It was weird. Missing things, objects moved. And the general overall atmosphere was really down. I even opened the door and shouted firmly "Spirit be gone. You don't belong here." They refused to leave so I did. I have never lived in such a negative place before.

I feel negative energy when I wake up from a dream unpleasant. But I feel the negative energy fade quickly after I realize I am Awake...

Yes i can say i do. I get the worst vibes from my grandmothers house and the houses around it. Im not sure why but i always get the worst vibe from them..its so dreadfull too

When I am with my family we are fine, but get us in my grandma's house, and there is always chaotic, and negative energy!

I don't often feel negative energy from places until a negative person seems to be there, for example- when I am home during the day my house is very calm and quiet, once my mother's key is in the door the house vibrate with her intense and violent nature- and I am not the only one who has felt this.
But I have not felt anything negative from a place in specific- just the people at a place.

I do get those feelings a lot. I have gone house hunting with friends and there have been a few I have come across that I refused flatly to step on the front porch let alone down the front path.

I had a bad feeling in a car I was looking at to buy, I was ok outside the car, but as soon as I sat in the drivers seat I had this image of a horrific crash and the steering wheel felt slippery like it was covered in blood.

Someone mentioned just walking in crowds they can feel it. Sorry I forgot who! But I do understand what they mean, when there is something bad going to happen like the London bombings, I start noticing that people get more and more negative to the point where I don't want to go out of the house.

And I love graveyards they are peaceful as there are generally no negative energies in them as the body has been laid to rest and the soul left behind. Although in Campbelltown where I grew up there was a grave yard that I hated walking past, I always felt something really dark and evil was watching and waiting for me to step in the gate. As it turned out a long time before I was born they use to perform hangings in the middle of the cemetery. And there where a lot of rapes and murders afterwards in that cemetery. So it was a truly evil place.

yea i have, in the one graveyard around my house the one time me and my two friends went into it it started feeling like someone was following us but we where the only alive people there . then my friends leg started hurting as if he got hit in it and a cut i had on my upper arm that was about a week old started bleeding ... so yea some it was as if we were not wanted in there

personally, i feel as though people, places, and even inanimate objects hold energy. Be it negative or positive. so it makes sense that you would feel something at those places. if it is that negative, it may not be pushing you away but it may just be that you feel like you shouldn't be there. (some places that give me negative vibes sometimes seem so inviting, but i know better) i think u might feel alot better staying away from those places.

When I was a child my parents were looking to buy a house in the country... the sprawling farmhouse was partly derelict... my mother had her heart set on it but when I went to see it I refused to go anywhere near the derelict part and began to cry when pressed to do so... the estate agent reluctantly told my parents that the house had been owned by a doctor who lost his wife... in his grief he hung himself from the beam of the derelict building... out of respect the son had that part of the building dismantled but the work was never finished as the builders refused to go in there...

I dont get bad vibes from places... I get them from people... like ex bf's moms... haha.. and ex best friends... in which most have tried to harm me =D So. yea.

The only place I;ve had neg. energy from is my grandma's old place.. the couple that lived there died there.. so thats most likely why.
