i know that most of us here take the name vamoire and in a sense we are, but the thing is that we are still human sure we drink blood but we are not an undead creature who will live forever what i want to know is your opinion on if the "real" vampire ever existed? and if so, do they still?
please give reasoning behind your opninion if at all possible

I do believe they exist, but only in myth, there are many unknown creatures and beings in this world, but to have the walking undead amongst the world is and has always been hard to wrap the mind around...
thank u extreme hate, i agree with you, i would love for them to be rweal but it doesn't seem possible
im not postive, i belive litil and cane are part of the history and are still lurking around , maybe on a diffrent plan , but from some writtings they were damed to have mosters as children
In myth and legend maybe but I mean it's not physically possible to live forever and never change never grow old. It just isn't everything die's and there's no way round that simple fact we all come to an end, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice idea but I really don’t believe it could ever happen,
Personally I think that kind of vampire only exists in legend. I do not consider my self a vampire or any other kind of being other than human, but I am sure that there are those that drink blood and can be called a vampire, but in answer to your question I do not think that the vampires , undead creatures, exist in reality.
I do believe that there are many unknowns in this universe but I doubt that real blood sucking undead vampires are one of them. There are other mysteries but for this one *shrugs*
i would like to believe in immortal vampires... you know? but i know it's not possible... now, the ones here who are modern vampires know that there are mysteries unsolved out there... but i don't think that the undead vampires are possible...
I have never met them, nor do I want to. I know of them from my travels. Yes they do exist, just because you haven't yourselves seen or delt with them. Does not mean they do not exist.
From History I say yes they have all over the world in different history books. I believe it's kinda like God and the Devil you never see them walking down the street but thousands of people believe in them so I don't see why not vampires.
I Belive They Do Exist, And Still Exist. I mean it would make sense for them to hide their identity. And why wouldn't a vampire clame to be Albino, so they have an iscuse to stay inside during the day every day. Know what I mean.
I believe vampires may be real, their are so many mysteries in life, that i think it could be possible, and if their are vampires out their they will never be known, because they have to keep themselves safe, and their has to be some truth behind the vampire myth...
Yes they did exsist were else would have all the fact's came from? As for now I think there is but they have to stay in hiding.
Vampire is a mythological name people decided to take on....a mere title.
From Bathory to modern day "Vampires" No one lives for ever, noones has no reflection, it is just a lust. No real person can survive on blood alone
... and just beacause you haven't ever seen one, means that they do - or ever existed.
I believe there was at one point in time, but I don't know about now. I don't think there really is, but I think there's a lot of people who try to "live" the life of one, way more than others also.
I also have to say that it's very possible that at one point the existed, but as for now, I highly doubt it. There's not enough proof or evidence.
how are yall today but what if yall was talking to a vampire who just would not answer your questions because he would think that yall thought he was lying
I agree that some people pretend to be Vampires and can take it kind of far sometimes but I do believe that there are real Vampires out there. In fact, I believe I once knew one. She never tried to bite me though. We had a unique friendship.
well talk to me and let share info that might help you know more
aren't we all undead?
haha well yea i don't think they exist
No I don't believe they ever actually existed......secrets can neve be kept for so long.
i am not sure if it is a myth or they really existed.but one thing is for sure that so many people cant be wrong or cant have lied who talk about vampires, about have seen them or have felt their presence.
I'm pretty sure that if "real" vampires existed, with all the exploring that is done in this world today, someone would've found one by now.
i will believe in their existence only when i will see any .
I think you either believe they are here or you don't... sometimes it's just one of those unexplainable things like when you know the phone is going to ring just before it does..we get a prickle of recognition when there is something we believe in but cannot explain.
As for me, yes I believe they exist, but there must be very few of them these days.
I belive there are Vampires, but they are not as depicted in myth and stories.
I believe vampires existed and possibly still do, just not where we can see them. Some of them exist astrally.
I do agree, its not entirely possible to live forever physically...for a human! But what if these creatures are not human at all, nor the undead. What if they were one of the elementals? Their forms manifested through the astral and then they were distroyed, unable to return because of humans misunderstanding.
Another idea is what if they didn't live forever but it was just beyond human living. Like lets say...500 years more then humans could live. That would make them seem as if they lived forever in the legends.
All and all, I not only believe they exist, but I know they do. Its just in a different way then your thinking.
i think they were, they are and they are planning to take back whats rightfully theirs and claim the top of the food chain once more.
I do believe in them but only by myth unless I see one then I'm going to stick with my opinion and say its a myth.
*the hole drinking blood and stuff is just an addiction of the human mind*
so just because you drink blood, eat flesh, ect..... does not make you a vampire or a creature of the undead.
http//www.vampirecommunity.com this site gives you all the info you need or want to know
Vampires do exist. Not the immortal ones from myth and legend or from the Hollywood movies. But real life Vampires, that live day to day like everyone else as humans, just somewhat different in their needs in energy, among other things.
i believe they really do exsist i mean noone can prove otherwise and who knows the government could be hideing the real truth about vampires!
I believe vampires must exist. What we know of them is so mixed up in myth and legend that their reality may be very different from what we see in art and literature but I am certain they do exist.
I believe that vampires did and possibly still do exist. Maybe not as they are portrayed in art and leterature but at the same time is it not possible that, if we think ourselves as vampiric and drink blood that hundreds of years ago someone lived the same way drinking blood and living more at night to compensate with the drinking. Maybe the undead and living forever was just added later to galm them up.
personaly i think what some people mean by imortal was that even though they died their name would be carried on. just my opinion.
Sure, people like to live the lifestyle, and may in some cases believe they will suffer for lack of blood, but will not live forever or be able to fly to safety if pushed off a rocky cliff. I think until these people are willing to band together and go get tested and studied, we won't know for sure if there is an "actual" vampire disease aside from the disease that inspired the myth in the first place. Personally, I think these folk are too afraid of being told they're normal, with maybe an iron defiency in the blood, which can be taken care of by eating foods higher in iron content or taking multi-vitamins. (This is excluding those who believe their vampirism is spiritual.)
I believe vampire souls to be immortal, not the body of course. So in a sense we are immortal. How do I know,of course there is no proof, but my past life dreams prove it to me.
humm immortal beings that live on blood ? no i don't think thats possable ..
but if from another Dimention maybe ..
yes i do believe they are , but they have to co-exist since they are probably very few of them. There a lot of myth and legend about them, so there has to be some fact.
i do think they are still here i dont know why but i do i guess it cause i beleave alot about them and such so i hope they are i dont know
i think it is very possible for there to be real vampires somewhere hidden ... the government hides alot from us. they probally have one but who knows... it would be great to know if there are
they could be hidden or people are just covering/hushing up the incidents/people where/who occured.
I myself don't believe in the undead...I mean it is possible and my mind is opened up to it but honestly I believe a "real" vampire is what we claim to be. What we r is "real". We're not fake. We're not pretending. We r what we r which makes us real.
I believe that the vampires who drink blood, like us humans are real and in mythology and legends, but not the actual non-dead vampire. Everything is meant to die. There really is no way around it. It is a nice thought, but hard to grasp, because if you lived forever those you love would die off slowely, unless we were all immortal...
i think sooner or later the truth behind the myths will come out...
i have been told they do exist and only reveal themselves in certain situations
It's hard to tell... logic tells me no that they do not exist.. but as far as myths go yes they do.
I believe that all folklore is based on some truth. Yes, I believe that vampires exist, but perhaps not the kind of vampire we all know.
I believe in all mythical creatures. they had to be around at some point or the myths wouldnt be here. i think that just because we never see them or come in contact with them, doesnt mean they are not there. chances we will ever know for sure are slim. but its believing that counts.
I believe they do exist in a sense from myth and lore. but not in todays society. people from the past or in history gain notary from actions they have done, yet being vampire in the sense of lore just in fable books.
did they exist... I think so... and if they did then it is very well possible they still do...
*thinks* wow this is such a simple question, but I honestly think it goes much deeper then "Are they still here?"
Yes... and no.
What defines a "vampire"? If you define such as has fiction, then of course, no. As defined by the original gypsy legends and accounts prior to the advent of the appearance of fictional vampirism... then perhaps, yes!
Originally in the gypsy accounts of Eastern Europe, vampires were metaphoric scapegoats for any calamitous event. An unknown plague killed your livestock? A vampire was to blame. Someone knocked over your butter churn? A vampire was to blame. Your house caught on fire? A vampire was to blame. A (place name of unfortunate event here) occurred? Again, a vampire was to blame. And who was the "vampire" du jour? Why who else but the most unloved "recently departed," of course! After all, the dead cannot defend themselves; they make the perfect scapegoats.
As for all the blood drinking stuff... all of that came about as a result of people digging up those blamed for being "vampires" and, upon cutting off their heads or staking them to the ground, observed what appeared to be "fresh blood" (actually, decomposition liquids)... hence, they jumped to the ridiculous conclusion that the corpses must have sucked the blood from the living.
Everything else that followed re: vampires was all the result of fiction writers and Hollywood down through the centuries ever since. And all of that is fictitious nonsense.
However... there was one singular characteristic found only in the oldest gypsy accounts that was considered by them to be the single greatest common denominator of who and what the vampire was: their "insatiable sexual appetite." The detailed accounts of this match identically those also ascribed to the original Canaanite "Fallen Angels," the Sumerian "Anunnake," the Egyptian "Shemsu Hor" (Demigods of Manes), and many other accounts of a small group of men who descended from the skies anciently, taught Humankind, established Earth's greatest civilizations, married Human females and by them had families, and either initiated sexually insatiable rites as spirituality (e.g., Sumerian Hieros Gamos).
This race of unique males was glorified as Gods everywhere on the planet... except by the ancient Canaanites who, after benefitting from their scientific, agricultureal, and artesan knowledge, vilified them as "Fallen Angels" and slaughtered as many of their families as they could find. Thus began the extremely anti-sex attitude of Semitic religions (e.g., Judaism, Christianity, Islam).
When the descendants of the surviving families of these original Anunnake / Nefilim were re-discovered by Christian immigrants arriving in Eastern Europe, bringing with them the same anti-sex hysteria of these same religions, they were again vilified and slaughtered... this time not as "Fallen Angels" and servants of Satan (originally, Azazel - the chief of the "Fallen Angels") but, parallel to it, as "vampires", also undead servants of Satan.
These are the real "vampires" of history... and they survive today in secret just as they have since the days of the Biblical Genesis (ch. 6), and also as they did in the original Christian Church (Book of Jude) in which New Testament book it states regarding same: "These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit" who are "wandering stars" in possession of the same sexual insatiability of their fathers, the "Fallen Angels."
Their descendants are here, and are no more evil than were their original progenitors who established Earth's earliest and still greatest and most gylanic civilizations.
Find the real "Book of Nod" or even better the scriptures in the full Christian Bible in the Vatican that describe the origins of Vampyres. In every known culture that had no knowledge of one another had names and the beings of creatures that had vampyre immortality and lifestyle came into play is more than just a story one would say. They are as real as you and me. Yes they exist, hiding among the population which has gotten so much easier throughout the centuries. Acknowledgement of these creatures don't happen unless they wish to bring you in as one of there own or to feed from you. Find actual hunters that seen them and still face off those we call the supernatural. When in truth a vampyre is a servant of those higher powers like those are angels. Minions like Vampyres exist everywhere, ya can read about them, and if you seek them out long enough they'll find you. Now the proof of all that I have just proclaimed would be deniable other than actually finding the literature through the centuries about them. Usually it's the unfortunate that find them when not wanting too, so with that being said, b/c there is way too much info to write here about them and the proof can only be sought if you saw it with your own eyes. But truly it's out there, all one has to do is look.
I do believe that they exist/existed. If you take in all the myths, and their origin, you will see how far back they date. Now, if you take age of these stories into consideration, and their location, It would be hard for them to occur around the same time, in their respective regions, with no means of travel between them. I could not see how people of different cultures, with no understanding of the next, could come up with a similar fantasy.
I like the way you think, but in reality could there not have been people throughout the ages and places that believe in the same things that we here on the rave believe giving rise to the legends?
When yuo say "real" vampires, I assume you mean reanimated corpses who live on human blood. How many people, even here on this site, have been at some point clinically dead in one way or another and have lived to tell the tale? Do you also have a craving for blood and/or feed from the life energie of others? Sound like a techinicality? Maybe....
If this was directed to my reference of "the 'real' vampires of history," absolutely not. As I thought I had made quite clear, all the blood-drinking "undead" fictions re: vampires are not indicative at all of the "real" vampires of history. Instead, these were the lies told primarily to females to scare them away from the male descendants of the original "Fallen Angels," who had made the Carpathian mountains of Transylvania their home at that time. This was to keep such females from discovering the inherent sensual and emotional compatibility shared with them by these highly unique males (vilified by normal males as "vampires").
The "real" vampires, as I thought I had made clear, has reference to these very-real male descendants of the original "Fallen Angels" of Genesis 6 (and the NT Book of Jude): a race of sexually insatiable males whose unlimited sensual and emotional capacity were equal to that of females and, thus, was one of the reasons why females preferred them to normal males... and why all such mono-orgasmic males hated them, vilified them, and slaughtered their families both anciently (Genesis ch. 6, Book of Enoch) and again in the Dark Ages in Eastern Europe.

I've never read about any physical evidence being presented about actual vampires existing.
I belive that the power of belief is what causes things to exist or not exist. In most cases for human kind seeing is believeing.
I see a lot of people saying they do not believe in vampires, then why would you want to learn about something that you do not think is real?...
I believe that they did once walk the earth but i'll be honest here...im not sure if they still do...it would be very kool if they did...Or maybe they do...they are just hiding in this world, away from the judgemental & close-minded people who populate this place of pain & ruin, who would harm, hunt & kill them.....for what!? because they are different , because they drink blood, because they are who they are....beings who are higher not only in spirit but are higher in life!!!....I would love to meet one tho...
Honestly i am really torn about this situation..part of me believes there were real vampires and that they still somehow exsist....there are plenty of documentaries supporting that fact that i have seen but again i am the type of person that seeing is believeing..my other part says that is was meant for stories and entertainment..i am a pretty open minded person so if i am given real evidence i shall believe in it...
I don`t really know if I can believe it or not, it would be nice to believe it I think because it`s a nice imagination that there are real vampires and maybe to see one, one day, maybe this is a reason to believe in it, just coz we wish it but also there are many legends and myths about them who sound so real, so i don´t really know what to think.
I believe they still exist, though where I cannot say....
I dont believe that they ever really existed, not in the way that they have been portrayed. Yes I think vampires exist but not as the undead
LOL I think they did long ago but not in this life time lol.
I think the only place you"ll ever find the "real" undead vampyres are in books and movies. However, the zombie holocaust is at hand.
Beware,
Leon S. Kennedy.
PS. Always know where your merchant is.
i believe that they might have been real at an early age of human history...at or about the time that the angels of the christian god started decending and sleeping with the females of humanity. Possibly certaing children might have been born with godly like powers some of them might have been cruel and started feeding from the humans and drinking their blood in defianse to their god which indicates to not drink blood.
I'm not sure. A part of me wants to say at one point in time they had truely exhisted. Thats how some legends are formed. Some version of the truth behind the myth. But then my Scientifical side takes effect and says, "Some Version" They could have horribly messed up on a single version and through time and mouth to ear, thats what caused it to be what it is today.
While I've never seen anything that disproves the existence of a vampire, I definitely think that the existence of the 'cliched' vampire is highly unlikely.
My honest opinion is that vampirism may have been a way, many centuries ago, to explain cannibalism, and (this is me going out on a limb into my own theories), albinism.
I think it's fairly easy to rationalize how the mythic vampire came about if you consider what the impact would be on some society centuries (perhaps even thousands of years ago) of an albino born that grew to become a cannibal in a society that doesn't accept cannibalism. This story was perhaps unwritten and only orally passed down through the generations, til it began to mimic the stories we hear today about vampires.
I feel there is much in the world and the galaxy that is an unexplained mystery. I think vampires, werewolves, big foot and such are all a part of that mystery.
I believe it is possible.
We all create our own reality. As far as Vampires go, we humans seek to explain things we do not understand such as series of deaths due to unindentifiable or mysterious illnesses. Easier to feel that a vampire outbreak has occured then a bacterial outbreak. Especially before the germ theory was commonly understood.
i believe that anything is possible and that all myths had to come from some sort of truth.
yes we are still here! there are two points i wish to drive home do we die? yes but then we moove on to the relme of the undead spirits seccondly just inaking of blood does not mean you are a vampier ther are serval other spechies that are blood drinkers as well
i find it hard to believe that any lives forever.. makes a wonderful story but thats all
Read up on the history and you'll find it that there are more accounts of an immortal being called a vampyre that killed and drank blood more than once throughout history. The greatest one known today is Vald the Impaler but in truth many did it before even him. And no one has been able to uncover his actual skeleton or any remains to him or his father.
I believe they existed in the past, I'm not sure if they still exist now. They would have to deal with the new computer age. How would they get driver's licenses, social security numbers, passports? It's not so easy to get under the grid these days.
I once read a vampire book that looked at vampirism as a disease and compared it to the AIDS virus which also destroys the red blood cells. What if it was a disease and someone found a cure for it and it no longer exists and now with the AIDS virus it's back again?
I like to think vampire as a ghost or dimensional being ….. it helps me give ground to the claims made.
I would like to meet a real vamp and have tried communication on a more active and educated level I think than most . this journey has had me meet some shady people and haunt graveyards way after most have gone bed … I have summoned and used all sorts of magic to name some the rest I will keep to myself … I am in communication right now with someone who believes and is interesting, I also know someone who is with one… he heals fast and some other interesting events im noticing … mind you on this fourum iv noticed we all like and maybe wish to be … yet someone say I am a vamp we all run or ignore as they must be mad …. Or are they ?
oh for sure, i think they're still here....i mean the spirits wise..of course...has to be hehe
No offense to anyone here, with all due respect...I just don't believe that vampires exsist.
Dark Greeting's,
I do believe they exist and always have and always will.I base this on a gut feeling not scientific at all my Gut feeling has never been wrong unless I haven't listened to it,I am half vampire myself, and I have met others although we arn't immortal we live a very long time.Well thats my 2 cents worth.
Dark Blessing's,
KA
i dont think the vampire ever excisited the way they make them out to be i think they made mistakes on there dead and when they rose back up then the term vampire was put to them but anything is possible
