I find my self well entertained with the forum. Some threads are entertaining while others are filled with nonsense. So I decided to entertain you a bit. a psi-vamp by your definition is one who feeds from energy wheither it be the energy of pysical touch or not. One could feed from pleasure or anger. Both positive and negative energy. Better is positive energy but either way it is to ive a sense of empowerment and fulfillment. Now let me Etertain you for a moment. Theodore Robert Bundy kidnapped, Tortured, dominated, controled, and murdered over 40 women in the 1970's. He thrilled in his hunt and the power he had over life and death. The sex and murder was incidental. He fed on the fear of his victims. The energy given by his victims fed his aggression and sadistic fantasy as he tortured and eventually killed each of them. this would fuel his arousal and gave him the sense of empowerment. As is true with most serial killers (ed kemper, ect.) Now would you consider these predators to be psi vamps in a sense, as the find a need to feed off of this energy to fell forfilled? What are your thoughts?
I leave you with one last quote from Ted Bundy while he was being interviewed by Pensacole Police,"I'm the most cold-hearted son of a bitch you'll ever meet."
In a way, Mr. Bundy was a skilled psi in his own rite, whether or not he knew this and or had control over it is the question is it not? Seems more replies on this thread are nessessary food for thought.
(Munches on popcorn.)
Interesting topic Surfus. I think quite possibly he was psi. Only he didn't know what he was & therefore he was unble to understand or control it. I wouldn't say he was a skilled psi at all. I would think more than likely he was an out of control, untrained psi with no understanding of what he was. Maybe if he was psi & he had understood it, then he would have found other ways to indulge his need to feed.
I never thought about Serial Killers that way.You have a very good point. And yes I agree he was an untrained Psi Vamp.Like Chatoic said if trained or he knew what he was he may have found a better way to feed.Very interesting thread will keep checking back.
KA
Ack, type-o...*Unskilled...Bloody hell...I hate type-o's. Save for the band, lol
It's certainly an interesting possibility. In older times, it was believed that if you ate parts of an enemy you'd slain in combat, you'd gain thier prowess. I could see some random sicko thinking the same thing. Although, I'd think that the terror of a victim's last moments would taint the energy.
I do not think ted bundy was a psi, i think he just liked to torture and kill people, i mean needing energy and killing people are two diffrent things, he just liked to kill and feel like he was in power...
I agree RavenKnight. I think Bundy was just a sadistic killer who hated women. It's an insult to Psi-vamps to assume that serial killers are uncontrolled energy feeders. If that were the case, there'd be a lot more SK's around.
I don't think that he was a psi vamp, I think he was just a sadistic murderer, but I can see why someone would make that assumption. His murders were fueled by the fear of his victims, so I guess it is kind of like feeding off of energy but I don't think that he was a psi vamp.
Carnal and RavenKnight make a very very good point, I will agree with them, as reitterating my statement from earlier, sadistic and energy are two completely differant things. Though we would have to take on the concept of Vlad Tepes and the theory of the power of consumption for a better perspective now.
I don't think Ted Bundy was a psi-vamp, but rather an out of control emotional vamp. Not to man people think about emotional vamps to much, they feed off the emotional energy that is put out from another person. That fact is the man was just a bleedin' loon though.
To say that Ted Bundy was a Psi is a stretch at best, he excelled at one thing and that was killing. It was something that he enjoyed and was good at. To say that he did it because he needed the energy is missing the point. He did it because to him it made him feel powerful over someone else.
I do not hink he was, or any kill is, theyare simply killers and low life scum, as to take another person's life, unless is in legitimate defence is wrong, coward and is simply being a evil being, and not evil in an erotic or pleasent way, but evil in a way of menaing to cause arm on perpous
Very intersting topic indeed. I can see where the assumption can lie in the fact that he was driven by the murderous act therfore needed to continue it to sustain, but I do not think that makes him a psi. How many other people come into this world untrined but learn through means of thier own that they are different. They learn about the different methods of feeding rather it be blood, energy or emotion and they do this without harming others.
I am not really familier with Bundy so much, so I do not know what time frame or year we are talking about but I am pretty sure that there would have been sombody or something around for him to learn from if he had so chosen to.
Saying that I can see where an out of control, untrained psy could be presumed to be a killer. But that is a long streach to make.
That is very intresting, I guess in a way that is true.
A very interesting thread....I believe he was just a sadistic killer who went on killing people just because he was what he said what he is 'A cold hearted son of a bitch'....
Truthful chap this guy.....
I wouldn't even call him an untrained Psi Vampire.....Just a maniac who felt good and in control when he killed all his victims...
Ted was one of a kind. Per his death row interview with Dr. James Dobson, he was also intoxicated everytime he killed someone. Alcoholism is not very psychic.
A very interesting example. I have in the past tried to point out the slight 'oversite' some make when confronted with this problem.
It appears that in almost every situation or case study, as soon as it appears that a energy or sang-vamp could be capable of murder or some evil act, the modern vampire community dismisses that person as either crazy or a wannabe vamp. This one is particularly interesting because the person didn't claim to be a vampire but did claim to get the same feeling of energy and sustenence that psy-vamps claim.
Again I suggest that if every person with energy vampiric tendencies who commits a crime is a wannabe or crazy, that doesn't bode well for the rest of you. You need to either admit that energy vampirism can be taken too far by an actual energy vampire (murder, attacks, kidnapping) or admit that everyone who exhibits energy vampire tendencies is potentially crazy or a wannabe.
I agree that this is a different kind of example because he himself did not claim to be a vamp. however, i think it depends on how your perceive it. society even the vamp society may say he's a wannabe or they may think he just did not know who he was or how to control himself. what my opinion is.... well i think yes, he was a psi vamp. I think he did not know. i think that the label of sociopath has clouded a lot of peoples minds and that makes it hard to decide whether or not one is a vamp or a sociopath. if that makes sense. In any event, if u look at it under the simplest of terms, he got everything out of his torturing and killing that most psi vamps get out of energy feeding, thus making him a vamp. what makes it wrong is that he of course took their lives.
a welcome response. It's important to acknowledge that if living vampires (psys and sangs) are in fact human (and of course they are), they are just as capable of going too far, just as capable of criminal acts and truthfully, just as capable of being a sociopath and still being a living vampire.
What Robert Bundy did sounds in every way like a 'feeding' with the exception that it's not voluntary and that it's disturbing on so many levels. But physically, it strikes me as a feeding.
BloodLust1724,
While we are all playing amateur psychiarist here and undoubtedly, he was as Sociopathic as he was Psychopathic, I am interested to understand how you have come to the conclusion that what he got out of his victims, was the same as a psivamp gets from their energy exchange.
Might you provide some support to your hypothesis here, or must we accept that because you said so, it is the case?
I would suggest that your understanding of the 'psyvamp' means of obtaining energy is flawed, based on your assumption and subsequent statement.
Felix,
In contradiction to your own suggestion, I also ask whether you fully appreciate what is involved in an energy exchange, beyond emotional stimulous.
Just because I person gets off on seeing others suffer, does not provide any basis for explanation of energy feeding.
Yes, I will concede that in a manner of speaking, he 'fed' from others being abused by him, but that hardly constitutes the entirety of an exchange and is, at best for my current opinion, only one of the many functions involved and is merely a similarity in traits, not a definable factor of the totality of vampirism as it is recognised by that section of the community.
But then, we again come back to a matter of semantics and the definition of what constitutes a 'vampire', an argument seen here and everywhere else which never provides a singular answer which is acceptable to the majority.
Bundy is dead so we'll not really be able to know exactly what happened. My point was two fold.
Bundy describes similar sensations of power, satisfaction, and energy that many modern living vampires use to describe their 'feedings'. Bundy also was emotionally detached and preferred being alone (also like many living vampires on this site).
The one thing that isn't discussed but isn't disproven either is whether he lacked energy at certain points in his life. Certainly he was at times widthdrawn and that could be a symptom.
The second point is this...my argument is not that Bundy absolutely WAS a psy vamp...my argument is that the living vampire community seemingly can't handle the idea that he or any other criminal COULD BE a psy-vamp. In fact, it is without fail the response of the majority in the living vampire community to write off any convicted criminal who engaged in anything remotely vampiric as nothing more than a wannabe or a crazy person.
Felix,
I agree that we can never know for sure, but in defence of the community, it is already facing negative opinion and further acts of outrageous violence attributed to living vampires, which only makes that more difficult a task to overcome prejudice.
What is probably unfair, in my opinion, is levying accusations that such clearly insane people were vampires, where no proof, nor confession, or possibility of analysis exists, only supposition and I feel, unwarranted correlation.
And yet, to always refer to any famous criminal (even self admitted vampire) as a nut...creates the argument that either no living vampires can be criminals or no one can really be a living vampire.
I'm not really arguing against living vampires...I'm arguing that the society needs to acknowledge the posibility of some of it's members being criminal or potentially violent just like every society.
Sure their's negative connotations against living vampires today. But as an example, I'm Irish...there was a time when many considered the Irish to be layabouts, criminals and drunkards...the Irish were and are a very proud people with a noble history...but if a man gets drunk and steals a car and later admits to being Irish, I shouldn't say "he can't be Irish...he's crazy and just believes he's Irish...he's a wannabe Irish."
If I do that everytime, people are going to doubt my sanity more than the criminals.
i find this forums one of the best i have seen here on a long time. Personally the thought of serial killers being psi vamps is a good possibility just look into the female ones they really derived power from there victims but then again most criminals get power from their crimes hence why they commit them so maybe they are just adrenaline junkies
Felix,
While I see your point of view, I'd take your analogy and ask whether Gerry Adams can really be considered a politician.
But that aside, yes, there does seem to be more of a defensive stance against these things, but a neccessary one, imo.
I would admit that there is a possibility that some energy vampires do commit crimes, that is not unreasonable to suggest, but when it is taken to levels of infamous mass-murdering certified nutters, a line has to be drawn, or it risks being blurred altogether.
FelixFelix.......thing is we go so far then somebody is bound to say....'how do you know anything is possibe'....at which point I have to lay down with an asperin lol
I agree with Stabb on this one.
LOL I am going to have to back up Felix on this one. While I may not agree that Bundy was a Vampire, we cannot outright discredit the possibility. After all if we were to look at things as if it were part of the animal kingdom. If Vampires are the Natural Predators of man? Like the Lion is the Gazell. Then he was just mearly really good at hunting. Like the weekend worrior who comes back with more than the legal limit of deer.
Stabb - don't go bringing Irish politics into play...we're lible to end up like a couple of hooligans at the end of the All Ireland Championship.
I understand the desire to separate oneself from criminal behavior. The desire to say, "that person isn't like me" is human. However, nutter or not, they may still be part of your modern living vampire society. It's when they get called a wannabe that startles me the most. Take the recent lady who stabbed her donor in the leg and then chased him with a pickaxe. She exhibited every sign of being a sang...she just also exhibited signs of drug abuse and possibly psychosis. It doesn't negate the signs of sang vampire from her. But the most common reaction was that she was a wannabe vampire...which is arrogant and elitist as well as totally unfounded. As if she had to have been a member of a group like Sanguinarious in order to be considered 'real'...and even then she would likely have been cut loose and considered someone who managed to slip by and pretend to be a vampire for a while.
I'm human. Bundy was human. I can admit that without feeling like I'm just one step away from horrible acts of violence. He was a horrible person...it doesn't mean all humans are horrible. Why do living vampires feel like any admission of a criminal to vampirism would be an admission of their own guilt?
Energy comes in all forms and vampires are not the only ones who channel it. You have psychics, empaths, mediums for example who channel energy but do it for positive purposes. We do not call them killers, neither should we call psi vamps killers because they feed on energy in what some would consider in a darker way.
Ted Bundy and others like him are mentally ill, they feed on fear and terror because somewhere they feel powerless in their own lives. They need the rush to survive, but it has no meaning, it is not a feeding, it is the destruction of a human being which is not the way of a psi vamp. They are totally separate from their victim, emotionless and cold. The victim is merely an avenue to fill their needs and then destroyed and then they move on to the next and the next. It doesn't matter who the victim is as long as it performs in the necessary parameters.
I don't believe his actions have anything to do with psy-vampyrism. The man had serious mental problems. I studied this case, and many others like this, when I was in the police academy. These people love controlling, does that also make them fall into the category of a Dom or a Master. I think not. It just makes him a sick human being.
If psy-vampirism is a lifestyle choice, then the comparisons to bdsm and how a feeding takes place is valid. If however, psy-vampirism is a physical or metaphysical state of being totally without choice then a 'feeding' is however a psy-vamp could get the energy and the use of donors or volunteers would be a choice but not the vampirism itself. In that case, Bundy could in fact qualify if we had a better understanding of the energy he felt he got from his actions.
Re: Ted Bundy being a psi vamp....if he was, he was certainly choosy as to who his sources were..young innocent girls..their fear may have fed his thirst for power, but surely real psi vamps don't take care to find people who look just like their ex-fiancee...as Ted Bundy's victims were supposed to.
I dont think mr ted bundy was a psi vamp. he was driven to kill for the fun and thrill that killing someone brings in that soft of way. I do see how those some other serial killers might be labeled as a psi vamp but in my opinion ted bundy wasnt one of them.
i don't think he was a psi vamp. he was a sick person that got his jolly's from killing women. he wanted to dominate and thats exactly what he did. He obviously loved the fear he could make people feel and it was probably more of a sexual pleasure then anything.
Ok...this is an awesome thread...and all are valid points...except about him being mad.
Im sure someone has heard the so-called statistic and saying that "96% of the people on this planet are partially insane...its the sane ones you have to worry about..."
Well...i have to somewhat agree with it...why does everyone say that a serial killer is insane and sick...yes some are such as the "Nightstalker" of Los Angeles in the 70's or 80's. Who was satanic and demon posessed and on meth.
But lets look at this guy...with out blinking he called himself the most cold-hearted bitch. He new what he was...he new what he was doing. Does that even come close to crazy in anyway...i can personally say...that he most likely was not mad in any aspect...i should know...i do it for a living.
tThere are many hired torturers and killers that do what they do and they are as sane as the man next to him. What if he did it because at one point in life he realized that was the only thing he was good at doing...he chose each target carefully...and performed specific acts of torture to each.
I have come to the same conclusion...killing is what im good at...no i dont torture my targets...but taking life is what im good at...i have just handled that realization differently.
I like him...are the same...so i see it.
My targets are all the same...all terminated in a similiar way.
Yet do i seem insane to you?
(i know im rambling here...and maybe my thoughts arent all put together in a way so its understandable...but does anyone see my general point?)
arielleboursier,
No-one has said that he was psychotic, or delusional. But I assure you, he was a Psychopath. That is a severe mental disorder.
Personally, I would want anyone who identifies with someone like Bundy, to stay well away from me and seek immediate psychiatric treatment.
If one is naive enough to believe in "psi" vampirism, then so also are possible any number of equally ludicrous and illogical theories derived from this original false premise... such as this one that would attempt to glorify a psychopathic "cold-hearted son of a bitch" like Ted Bundy as a "vampire," too.
This is precisely the sort of "slippery slope" logic that inevitably is going to occur when actual historical vampirism is not only ignored but in fact eclipsed by and ultimately forgotten altogether in exchange for the completely fictitious pop-culture image and definition of "vampirism" as today solely exists.
A sicko, he didn't feed but killed. To feel empowered ,in control at all costs.
You could say of a person who kills a bunch of people and cuts up the bodies and cannibalizes them, well thats not normal. thats true but then you have to say was there a mind that was purposeful? was there a mind in control? was there a mind that was planning? was there a mind that knew the diffrence between right and wrong? and the answer would be yes. sometimes people are so horrified by the crime that they say "he's got to be sick." well it's sickening, but the act is not a product of a mind that is diseased. these predators have an uncanny capacity-almost like the way you could shut off a light switch-to shut off [the awareness] just long enough to do what they want to do. Then go about their normal lives having forfilled their need. what makes them diffrent is they dont lose any sleep over it.
Thankyou all for your insight. but I have another example for the sang vamp. Richard Trenton Chase the young man from sacramento who killed people in the 1970's because he believed he needed their blood to keep his insides from turning to powder...
Will have to dissagree re the sick mind....anyone who takes a life in such a way is mentally ill as far as I'm concerned.
Before anything else.....people are human...though as I have said on other tthreads...ones who believe they have duality or more of Spirit often have some mental health issues.
Mentally ill doesn't necessarily denote a hallucinatory disconnection from reality. Bundy was a sociopath (he either didn't see the difference between right and wrong or felt he was exempt from it) He claims in interviews that he didn't understand the way social interaction worked...so yes...certainly some mental issues at hand.
I was never implying that the man didn't have mental issues or that vampirism was an excuse for what he did, I'm simply pointing out that modern living vampires are just as capable of mental illness and violence as any other human being and that their crimes or mental capacity doesn't automatically disqualify them of having been a modern living vampire and feeling that feeding on energy or blood or fear wasn't some form of sustenance for them.
GOOD question! I have been reading ann rule's book about him. It's really interesting to read because she actually worked with him. He wasn't actually bad at first. I don't believe that he needed to feed. I believe he was very sick.
More like a psyvamp with an eating disorder.
Either gorge and spew...
or simply not being able to choke down the sustainance...
or even infantile experimentation; like a baby in a crib eating and smearing feces all over it's body and crib.
Either way I would not call him an energy worker of any kind.
oh don't kid your self yes he was a psi and he knew it he knew right from the beging
i think its dismissive to call bundy a crazy or madman, most do not understand the sociopaths nature ,it seems so extreme so out there to take pleasure in killing another human being....however that is not the case with most that suffer from this affliction they are withdrawn and cannot connect with other human beings ....they cannot feel emotions like love or keep stable relationships ,they do however have the gift for gab and very often are the life of the party make friends very easily but have no real bond with them other than what they can get from them....they can be your best friend but if you cross them your worst nightmare.....bundy was a classic example he was charming, intelligent and down right deadly.
It is indeed quite possiable.
I mean it would make since that he would feed off of their fear to feel enpowerment.
Bundys just a freek and a mental case lol He was very good at what he did phys major yes psi vamp No!!
i dont think he was crazy, i think he was yes sick, but there had to be somthing other worldly about him
I agree with raven knight and the members of his coven Ted Bundy was a very sick person and deserved to die for what he did he was never a psy vamp he was just a sadistic killer who loved to kill women for the fun of it.
Wow. This is an interesting topic. As someone else stated, I don't know much about Ted Bundy.
What I can say is that I wasn't there personally so I don't know if the high he felt came from the fear of his victims which would, indeed, make him an empathic/psy vamp or if the high came from, as Stabb666 said, a release of endorphins which, is not associated with vampirism and energy feeding. That, frankly is just normal for humans. Maybe not in this specific situation, but humans release endorphins and get a rush. It happens.
id sat that there is the chance that he was but as for knowing it was another thing, because with the knowlage comes the ability to control it at least to some extent
It seems like the energetical, and the material part, of the game are both equaly apreciated in this case(he feeds of her mental fear wich is really BIG, and that feeds him, while he desecrates the living body, dominating it at the same time, dominating the material part), so we might call him both?
Or a Thrill Vamp?
Or a noneducated close minded person wich does not knows what to choose first...
Or he has no manners.....
Or simpley, he is an megaloman/iac, so he cant but takes both.....
Or he just forgot the spoon and the fork?
I feel the need to be a voice of disagreement here. And look at it from another view.
Being that the cosmos is filled with good and evil (pardon the dramatics).. I could argue that Bundy was the perfectly trained Psi Vamp gone evil.
It would seem to me that saying he "is a discredit to all psi vamps is insulting" would be a statement made in ignorance. Not all witches are good are they?
You cannot really say that Bundy did not empathize or have the capacity to sympathize with his victims. If he didnt, he wouldnt have had so many victims. He obviously was never without a date.
Bundy was described by some as charming and suave, while others still yet described him as "creepy" and dark.
So, how many Psi Vamps are described as creepy? Dark? Suave? Charming? Attracting more flies with honey I would say.
sorry.. hit post..
It was quite obvious that if he was a psy vamp, he did show control of it. Just perhaps, not the control some of us would like to see.
I gotta say, this topic reminded of the first Harry Potter Movie when Harry got his first wand. Both he and Voldemort did "great things.. terrible things.. but great none the less" Voldemort was no less a wizard.. just because he used it for evil. So saying Bundy was not a psi vamp just based on what he did with it.. seems to me a blanket statement.
Ted Bundy was abused as a child . Beaten and made fun of in School..I do not think He was a Psy Vampire..Vampires although they feed off of energy they tend to not kill..Ted Bundy it was said was raised in an Abusive Home...Abuse tends to drive children to a point of no return...And as they grow they become withdrawn hostile and Killers...I take offence that some would think that this type of Killer could be a Psy Vamp..I am one and like many I have taught myself how to control my cravings and use other sources than Humans...
I am tired of people assuming things when there are NO facts...Show me the facts that serial killers are Vamps then I will gladly agree that they can. I am not saying that there can't be Psy Vampires that are killers I am just say show me the proven facts of killers being one...
People should not judge another race and assume that people that are killers are one...Because in the end assuming something you can make an Ass out of yourself...
Being a Psy vampire myself I know the feelings and know how to control it. Most people don't understand who or what they are correct but if they don't know what or who they are you can't classified them as a Vampire or anything of the sort..They are human plain and simple...
Until they truly find out what they are they are nothing but Mortal...We as a society have to protect ourselves and thoughts that think that killers are Vamps without proof are thoughs that are close minded.
I agree there may be some Psy Vampires that are killers but to judge someone who did not claim or was not asked is pathetic and wrong. You put Him in our category you might as well condem us all...
The Abuse that Ted Bundy had as a child is what drove Him to do what He did. Not being a Vampire..You have to remember that Abuse is the Driving Force in most Serial Killers and in that they where Not Psy Vampires..
You've said psyvamps 'tend not to kill'...based on what? It's this idea that has me posting back...the idea that any psy-vamp is immune from criminal action or mental illness. Do you know how many vamps on this site claim depression, bipolar disorder, and self destructive tendencies?
You've said that those who come from abusive homes can grow up to be killers...are psyvamps immune from that?
You've said that if you don't know what you are, you can't be classified as a psyvamp...if you can't be one without knowing it that makes it a lifestyle choice not a state of being.
Of course it was abuse and likely mental illness that made him kill or at least created the sociopathic mind that could kill without guilt. But it could have been the desire to feed that actually led him to kill the way he did.
You have been assuming that because you and your psyvamp friends are healthy minded that somehow you can make a blanket statement about the mental health of all psyvamps. That's not only a blanket statement but a form of arrogance to believe that your 'kind' doesn't have the problems of the rest of the human race.
Yes I think we have done some wandering from Felix's original post.
First and formost lets understand we are all human....some believe they have additions.
All humans are subject to mental health issues and crimianal activity.
Well this is Surfus' thread but I've seen others make the same conclusion as me.
While most psyvamps are perfectly decent citizens with no prediliction for criminal or violent behavior, if we accept psyvamps as a state of being outside of choice, then Ted Bundy (or someone like him) could in fact be exhibiting an evil or more violent projection of energy vampires either do to lack of control or mental illness.
No untill they truly know what they are then they are classified as Human..Unless they Truly know what they are then they are not Vampires..He may have had tendencys and had Vamp like qualities but until you truly find what you are then you can't classify them as one...Don't classify people into catagories unless you know for a fact that they are in that catagorie..We don't classify chilldren with ADD just because they act like they have ADD ...We have Drs and people who talk to the parents and even run tests...I know there is not a test for vampirisum but if they talked and asked question then maybe they would get the answers and people would not have to assume..
It's true that to be officially diagnosed with something brings certainty or a level of it. But to use your example, a child with undiagnosed ADD might still have it.
Most modern living vampires have said that it's something they are born as. Not a choice. An Awakening is confirmation but not transformation. Keeping that in mind, there must be modern living vampires who never find out what they are. If the hunger were great enough, or was accompanied with mental illness or abuse, it could lend itself to violence or criminal activity. Seeing as the idea of Awakened Vampires is only decades old, what did vampires do before the Codex. How did they 'confirm their existence' as you said.
But equally as unfair when criminals have claimed vampirism to write them off as crazy.
The marines taught me self control over my actions and I still consider everyone of them my family to the end.But as some are saying Ted Bundy was a killer and that brings him away from the phsy vamp trade.
personally, I think he was just mentally deranged.so he have to be anything but nuts! why think it's something unique other than he was just crazy.
I have mental problems but unlike Bundy I don't go off and kill...I am a Psy Vampire but dose that make me a killer..No...It dosn't...And as people said to claim Bundy as one You would have to know His thoughts..And since He is dead we know nothing...It would have been diffrent if one was to talk to Him..but now that He isn't around we all have to wonder..
"I have mental problems but unlike Bundy I don't go off and kill..."
that we know of...yet.
I just feel he was a Whack-Job who got off on killing his victims, I mean come on he was brutal, crazy and not ever satified .... hummm
I will partially agree with the nature of this thread.
Over the last winter, i was involved with the mental discourse and journey through not only my own hell but another mans. He was older then me by some decades. We met in a hostel, and proceeded from there.
The nature of this thread is to tie together sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies to individuals who engage in things similar to psychic vampirism.
I can say this connection is valid. The things I learned from that old bastard, were the same as what I had learned from my studies in alchemy, chaos magick, and vampirism. He took it to the physical level. Torturing and murdering his victems, he chose men, as the was not only gay, but he also brought out more points as to why men over women. I will not say as I agree or disagree, what he attempted on me I will neither support or wish on anyone else. However, there is a distinct connection.
What lacks is the recognition of these principals. All that he was lacking was to be anything other then a man. To be anything older then a breaking down, psychopath who wanted nothing more then company, and someone to share the last years with before his life was taken by events in his past. I would no sooner share any time with him, then i would giving a baretta a blow job. But the point of this mentioning of him, and those events. Is there is distinct carry over of concepts.
It does exist, and they are vampires. They are murderers, and psychopaths. However they are human, more human in any sense of the term because they embrace the sexual beastiality that such lusts for tearing at fresh flesh apart bring out.
You know. This thread kind of reminds me of a couple of new Vampire movies that have come out recently.
In one, Vampires are thought of as protectores and Holy Priests. When one goes nuts and starts a killing spree, the rest of the Brothers is disgusted and yet he was really not insane. His actions were calculated and methodical.
In the Other. Vampires are veiwed as Crack addicts who can't controle what they do to feed thier cravings.
But the truth of the matter is this. "Vampires are Predators. They have a Physical Hunger (whether Sang or Psy). And to think that anyone of them is not capable of acts Humans would call barbaric inorder to feed that Hunger is to to have such a closed idea of what even Humans are capable of."
I guess he was, in a sense. He just chose to gain his energy in a more....umm....violent way.
Interesting thought.
Personal opinions... that's what are being offered here so I will slide mine into play. I do not think that he was a psi-vamp. HOWEVER, I do believe that he did have traits associated with psi-vamps. He used the fear and torment of his victims to drive him to do such hideous acts which I am sure to him and to others out there did not seem so bad. Did he need this energy to survive? My personal opinion is yes. Much like an adrenaline junkie needs to live on the edge this was what fueled him to continue on his rampage. Is this true or was he just a sicko wack job that just had no morals? Who knows noone here... sadly I am sure there are those on this site that have no clue who the man was.
This is a very interesting topic . In my own opinion Bundy was a complete wacko and needed to have physiological help which he never got even in prison .
Does Sentient thought make mutilation of other living things a mental disorder? I think that the problems is that too many become comfortable with a cuddly image of something that we forget the true nature of it.
Two Examples:
1)Polar Bears-Coca Cola has portrayed this animal as a cute soda sharing tedy bear. But the truth of what one is really like is horrably different. Its not soda that they share with thier prey. I have seen a group of Polar Bears pull a Whale up through the ice. Among the things it does to smaller meals.
2)Orcas-Sea World has given Orcs a friendly ball filping image. Imagine that same creature doing that to Seals. They do. Heads or Tails. Fetch. How far does a Seal fly?
If cruelty towards another living creature is the sign of mental illness, then almost all of the natural world is insane.
I agree very much with you Oni.....its just how you have fun with your prey. Its to the levels that you are willing to indulge yourself in. How much of an animal you are willing to become.
Well infernal....not all of us are as savage as you... I think that this serial killer may in fact been a psy vamp....
We do try to master our nature. :P
But regardless, its a form of psi vampirism taken to that extreme which crosses the line of behavior from a rational controlled mind, to a bestial lower mind, psychotic/sociopathic/psychopathic in these situations.
Bundy was a mental lunatic . He was smart in the studies he did and the law , but he definitely wasn't no vamp or psi vamp.
In light of all the response I have gotten I am also seeing alot of people who fail to understand that I intended to not validate bundy as a vampire but to simply point out the possibility of a power hungry psi vamp indulging in the energy given off in a situation in which Bundy placed his victims. To say psi or sang vamps are not capable of such violent measures is like saying a child is not capable of murder. we all want to believe a child isn't a killer but then sick when we realize he is. Happens all the time in america today and though out the world. I feel Bundy as well as other sadistic serial killers exhibited psi traits. Now if they were psi or not only they will know. Felix you have made very valid points and stabb as well..thanx for your well written arguments..
there are good and bad individuals of all classifications. it is obvious to state that Ted Bundy was one of the latter not the former. it is a matter of how one chooses to soothe that need that matters
First of all Bundy wasn't all that smart. His grades were mediocre. He was actually on the verge of being kicked out of law school. Next, he often affected some injury in order to lure his victims in; for example he wore a sling and pretended to have trouble with some equipment at a lake in Washington State . The young lady who apporached out of the kindness of her heart was of course murdered by this lunatic. Do you know why he never attacked a man? Because he was essentially a coward who did not want confrontation with someone who he might not physically overpower.
Though I am not generally in favor of the death penalty Bundy received his just rewards from the State of Florida back in 1989(?).
i agree that ted bundy was a sadist killer who did torture and kill women he was very skilled and advanced killer. as to him being a PSI vampire who knows it is a possibilty i guess. me myself i dont really think he was at all.
Energy is Energy.. wether it is positive or negative. Fear is and terror are also forms of energy, though negative.
It would stand to reason, sick or not.. Bundy fed off those energies, and just kept going.
Could he have been a psi vampire? Yes. And this I think brings a new question to light that perhaps some dont want to face.. so they rather dismiss this possiblity and just say he was a "sick psychopathic wacko"...
IF he was a psi vampire.. was he trained or untrained? In control or not?
IF he was a psi.. then I would say he was in control until the very end. Trained? Obviously. Though he was an evil bastard.. he was good at what he did.. stalking.. preying.. manipulating.. coercing.. dominating.. draining (draining of their strength and emotions).. torturing to bring that fear to its peak.. and then killing.
Methodicaly Done. That does not show him as uncontrolled, but would have shown him as skilled and trained Psi.. if he was. Which really.. no one will ever know. But I do love to THEORIZE.. which is what I thought this thread was about.
Ya know, do these nutjobs have to be linked with vampirism at all.!!!...I do not give them any unique characteristics other than they are crazy or heartless or both.
Some people like to glorify these assholes sometimes, just makes me mental.
I do not think they are anything but heartless killers.
I think this whole concept is just totally idiotic! Why is anything or anybody that is deadly or fecking crazy linked with vampirism or paganism.
Nocturnis.
They are linked, because they do preform the same sort of acts in the waking world as we do in the ritual circle, or the dreaming worlds.
Its not a happy link to understand, its not one that is going to go away simply because you do not wish to face the darker aspects of yourself reflected in the works of these people, who take their art to spiritual evolution through massacare instead of in a healthy way. IT is because they do these things, drawing off the primal evokations of the spirit through flesh, and blood.
That is arcane works, that is ancient works, and not to say it is good or bad. But they do it. So get off your high and mighty righteous horse. Face facts that are undeniablly linked to those waistes of flesh and energy. That they are enacting in their own way blood rites and methods to self discovery they feel are only granted through the mutalation of others.
Interesting point, If you consider anyone feeding off of energy to be psi vamp though than any one on the planet hast the capacity to be one after a little meditation and energy work.
Ooo such a delicious point to be made.
I do agree with you. As i have both met and indulged with the mind of such a monster. He was unawakened to the fact, but it was a primal need in him none the less. He still felt all the effects, but never knew what to call it.
So I cannot assertain for certain. All I know of the encounter was his energy signature, as well the energy signatures that he brought about in others, not just myself.
Thus saying he both had and didn't have the psi energy traits described above would be correct. He had them, but didn't have the awareness of them.
What he did was an instinctual level to the point where he brough about the demise of his victims after a careful game of manipulation to get them in a way he wanted. Which was bound, gaged, tortured then dead. Unless it was with a woman, with whom he just tortured and then they died as a result.
So its not one, or the other in this case, but both, at least with the individual that I had the misfortune of meeting out there in the big wide world.
It wouldn't surprise me if a serial killer was a psi vamp, but I think some are definitely just coldhearted, sadistic people.
And we're talking about serial killers here, killers who have killed in a series. That doesn't necessarily mean it has to be gruesomely violent.
There was a doctor, who was fascinated with the concept of life and death. He would simply choose, at random, who he would help and who he would let die, or murder, whatever. It wasn't particularly violent deaths, just natural order of things. I don't know the details, Jonathan told me this...
But anyways, the doctor took over 100 lives before he got caught. How much energy would really be expelled from natural or peaceful deaths? Especially if he's not technically killing them.
I always though a Psy Vampire took peoples energy and left without taking any blood from a person, well if you look at ted bundy then you can see that when he left lots of blood was gone, so i personally do not believe he was a psy vampire at all just a mentally unstable man who could not control himself...
its easy to call ted bundy crazy a maniac and be dissmissive about the whole thing ,its a whole other realm to explore so we can understand why he did what he did ...if thats even possible....we should learn what made him this way so we dont get another ted bundy down the road.
LOL There will always be another "Ted Bundy". In the past they were glorified as Warrior Heros or hunted as Sadistic Tyrants. History is littered with them. And Always will be. Such is the World.
Though I believe he was a psi something or other... is it not also possible that he was just really disturbed, and needed to follow the natural progression af man...333
