Just curious about one thing since I have been lurking and re4ading members profiles on here they are alot of members who dont believe or just are really trying to make fun of vampires but thats ok who dont believe just ask some questions to the ones who claim to be like me.

It is true, but I am sure that ppl would be more open to reconsider such claims, if only something more substantial is to be given to them for a reconsideration of this so much claimed subject.


Ask questiones? I beleive the answers would be same, black on white, and what we need is something more authentic than that, in order to"beleive".

The ones making fun of people who are vampires will one day meet in person th e real vampire and probably will be araid of what they don't understand....

There are as many poeple who dont believe as there are people who "Think" or want to be a Vampire. I live in a town where everyone thinks they are, but they ar infact not.
It's amazing how many people are ignorant.

I think that someday the world wil come to find out what it is they do not understand. The things people in a group will fear, but when they are alone, will not fear.

those who wish not to believe is directed by todays social class. i would say for their lack of faith in vampyres or just not enough history in what is claimed. they must choose their path as many here have. the "norm' class of society fears what they do not know or what isn't acceptable by them.

I am not a Vampire, but I don't make fun of anyone who claims they are. I have since a child been fascinated with the mythical Vampire and since I joined VR have learned more about people living as Vampire's. I still don't understand it all. I read the "What is a Vampire on the main menu and it give's the explanation most people find. Which is not an explanation of whether or not they are real. I am open minded and don't follow the masses so whatever conclusion I come up with is based on what I learn and what I want to believe. I think for the most part people are going to believe whatever they want to believe but I don't see any reason to make fun of anyone who does believe they are. It's a big world and it's full of possibilities and wonder. There's good and bad and all the stuff inbetween..I say anything is possible.

I think it is wrong to joke about who is a vampire and to say they dont believe in them i am not one myself but i would never say such things because i firmly believe that they are real maybe not everyone on vr but their is some that are.I think people are just ignorete sometimes and need to reasearch more about the real vampires that are here in our society.

Yes true but what if they are the Real Vampires and are trying to disprove their existence as a true vampire would never come out in the open and reveal him/herself....Has anyone thought about that?

hello to all i am not a vamp though i beleieve they do excist and beleieve i had a run in with one i am not sure if one would come out and reveal themsleves on here but i learned from working for the us government the best place to hide something is right out in the open ie make a movie about write a book about such and such i do not beleieve i am one..

In all fairness there have been certain claims made that many would say are only deserving of ridicule.

The hardest part about believing in mythical vampires is the myth. If we want to talk about psychic vampires, then sure - I'll buy.

Just as I had made a forum thread about vampires and you...You feel the need to reiterate the question into more of an obfuscated subject. Why does the world of the VR make "fun" of vamps.

My only answer is...While those of whom are may stake claim to be, pun intended, those on the VR are more subject to disregard claims rather than adhere to them. A lesson should have been learned a while back, do not stake claim, just go with the flow. Those of whom beg to differ, will have inquisitions. Challenges to either disprove for their own well being, or those of whom are, and challenge to see if you know what you are talking about.

All in all, if you are trueblood, and you are here, more power to you. As Gautham had stated in a previous thread, why make yourself known, lest it be out of selfish desires to say here I am.

We are, and always will be, nonetheless, if you were, you would pay no heed to the troublesome twats online which "make fun" of trueblood. Just adolescence that know no better.

I will not challenge your position, as I have no need to dwell on idol matters. Just advice for you whom claim to be. Watch your steps as you claim. You are being watched. No threats, no disrespect, just the simple facts of the way things are.

i wont make fun of the "true" vampire people that claim to be really vampiric,

but i dont not believe as they do...its a question of defining...there are many different definitions apparently of vampirims online, and especially on this site, you should prolly try to fall in with others that have the same view of vampirism as you do, of course this means, deciding which of the theories or if you have one of your own, that you subscribe to.

I do believe that some people may try to be like a vampire in terms of drinkin blood or drainin energy but anything else that is part of the folk lore of vampires is just something not possable in my eyes.

Exactly why is there is need to prove to anyone what you are?You are what you are and one is not always what he THINKS he is.If you believe you are a vampire then continue to do so but also understand that when you post in a public forum and you represent your kind....be careful what you say and how you say it....People can easily make assumptions about your kind if you speak in a childish or immature manner.....

Gauthum my friend I couldn't agree more. Anyone who thinks that modern living vampires are going to become somehow an accepted cultural norm is really kidding themselves. This is a subculture that with it's name alone has put itself in for a great deal of controversy by automatically associating it with fiction characters.

All belief aside, no one should expect the average person to even try or attempt to understand what you are. People are far too self involved to really consider taking time out to get to know your belief system. Instead, people should get used to the idea right away that if you call yourself a vampire, a great majority of the populace and even a fair amount of VR subscribers will think you're off your nutter.

see, people are dumb. they will try to get you vamps killed. they don't understand you, so, they kill what they don't understand.

People, by nature, are very closed-minded. We all have been at one point or another, right?
We all know that you either have to work at it, or something happens, that helps you break those set standards and barriers down, and helps open your mind to new possibilities.
The people who will not consider it as an option, that's closed-mindedness. Simply being stubborn without logic, or reason, or researching it further, that's what closed-mindedness is.
However, if someone takes the time to research it and comes to the conclusion that they do not believe, then that's their own personal opinion, and I always respect that.

I am not a vampire, but I don't make fun of other people who are or say they are. I myself find vampires very intriguing. I would love to meet one.

Are there really that many who make fun of vampires? I mean I have seen a couple. It seems like a bad place to come make fun of vampires if you ask me. Not that I am suprised people would.

i believe that in a point in time vampires did and do exist who is to say that they didnt that is like trying to say that cave men never existed which we know is not true at all i mean think about it how do we really know what other types of human life there are and what they are and who is to decide ?

Someone can not believe in something and still love and want to be it. For instance someone could not believe that real immortal vampires exist and still be fascinated by them and even want to be or meet one. The logical place to look for something that you don’t believe in would be places that people claim to be just that you don’t believe in hang out. So if someone loves vampires but doesn’t believe in them and there are real vampires on Vampire Rave then the non believers are still in the right place. As for people who just want to waste their own time and the time of others I just don’t get that. It takes a lot of my time to be here on Vampire Rave and I love it here. I think people who just want to waste time and offend other people will get bored and not stick around long anyway.

Why even bother with those who mock you or disbelieve in you? You don't need their validation or acceptance. So long as you know who and what you are and you're comfortable with it, piss on the rest of them. Those who are truly interested in understanding you will approach you in a respectful manner.

Now as has been stated previously by others more learned than myself, the fictional vampires in all liklihood do not exist. But I do believe, having come across more than a few, in psyvamps. I have also come across people who drink blood for pure enjoyment rather than need. As a serious question, are those that drink in this way also considered vampires?

vampires are not mythical creatures... it is a lifestyle...one that is not for everyone... no one has the answers for what they are, but we should celebrate the unique and beautiful essence of every single soul...

You may choose to think it is a lifestyle and live to those standards, making a mockery of what the term "vampire" actually means if that is your thing, but I am afraid it is no desicion of lifestyle. As most trueblood live, walk, and act as normal society does, there is no dress code for "the children of the night" (lol), save for the lifers who have taken on a certain quality to "fit in". Subdued by the thoughts of what society shuns, just to spite society as a whole.

Well seeing as this is a site for vampires hence the name..... I don’t really see the point of becoming a member unless you have some interest........ Joining and mocking the beliefs of others is the pass time of simpletons.

I don't think it's so much that members here don't believe in vampires, but that they have seen a lot of role players come through claiming that they are vampires who were "turned" some 1000 years ago and who insist on speaking in ye olde english to you... That gets a bit grating after a while.

As Gauthum stated in an earlier thread, let those who choose to act, act. As they may be of lower level and just getting to know the Rave. Not knowing what to expect.

As they would think this site would be like all others. Variation of roleplay and knowledge. But in time will soon figure that once they hit the higher levels will disgard the various terms and just be themselves.

bla bla bla, bla bla bla... some of you guys spoke as if you know the only existing truth, you guys speak about vampires, and there are many members claiming to be one... and that's alright... role playing is fine... but discrediting real, supernatural vampires is other thing, when you say that you are a psychic vampire and go discrediting the real stuff, you are being arrogant and ignorant... i can say that i am a god, and no one can say that i'm not... why? because i can say that i was illuminated, and everyone can be a god, they just need to be illuminated, they are still blinded... and i can even say that the almighty God does not exist, but the reality is, that i'm just a mortal, with the freewill to think and say whatever i want... but that, does not change things, if God exist, He does not need you or me to believe in Him for Him to exist... and this is valid with the vampires, whatever you think or say does not change a fact... supernatural vampires exists, i know that for sure.

there are real life vampires I find it appaling that people dont believe.. there are several types of vampires sanguine, psi and sunnubi/incubi to list a fewI belong to a group that is fro vampires and otherkin.. it is very informativeI was born knowing i was different..I am a psi vamp we are just a hybrid perhaps..

I think the reason why some on this site make fun of those who claim to be vampires is simply because many claim to be the hollywood version. I have found those with the most against people claiming to be vampires, are those who are vampires. Many have harsh feelings towards role-players and so on.

There is no reason to be ignorant or to "pose". Then again theres little reason to be disrespectful by just being outright rude.

I prefer fictional vampires. Many here say they are vampires. None of them appear to hate being one, unlike some fictional vamps. I believe what they believe about themselves.

You know, after reading all these I am's, I am wondering if I should start asking people what makes you think you are what you think you are, if not the lifestyle, or by choice, but by blood. I don't really believe that there are creatures or "kin" such as Vampires, werewolves, or anything else for that matter but it doesn't keep me from trying to learn and see things from other peoples point of view.

I honestly believe that if you claim you are a true kin you need to get some help. But that is just me. It doesn't mean that I hate you or want to make fun of you for making saying such things..just makes me more curious as to why and how you can call yourself that.

I myself am not one, I love the culture and the atmosphere. I would never make fun of any of you :) Thats rude and hurtful, and I myself am not like that. But I will say that I do not believe that any of the "myths" are true. I am in no way afraid of some day meeting a real one. Nor would I be so closed minded to say that it may never happen.

No, that would not be correct at all. "Humans" have a big trouble admitting that they are real because "real" vampires are a myth. People that live the vampiric lifestlye are not. And most are very wonderful people.

I know what I am and I know what I'm not. Believing in vampires is no less ignorant than believing in anything. Just because one has not walked up and introduced themselves dosn't mean they don't exist. I have never seen one dose not mean I have not seen one. seeing is not believing. i do believe in vampre, i may have not seen one but i know that they are real. i could have seen on and even talked to one. what people on this form have said is true, what people are afaird of is not always that bad, you never know that you might fall in love with a vampire and not know it.

just for the record, indeed the teeth and nails grow, and they have way much more strength than us... but, the beauty part it's not true... if they were beautiful before being a vampire, then they will continue to be for a few years, but they tend to get uglier faster than we do... is something like this... The Interview With the Vampire is near the truth in some aspects, their powers and some stuff they say in the movie, but that black and white movie Nosferatu was near the truth in other aspects, like their appearance... yeah, i know... it seams fullish, but when you turn to the dark side, there's nothing pretty in it... ask Satan, he was one of the most beautiful angels in heaven, and you know what? because he was so beautiful, pride made him fall... yep, the first sin in the universe... pride...

the way i see it ppl dont want to believe in vamps cause they are worried about what other ppl will think about them. they are worried that they will get locked up as insane . i myself know for a fact that vamps do exist.

To be a Vampire within the Mortal world, you must be smart and keep all secrects within the clan. Vampirism exist, but, only a few of mortals are lucky to be selected to know them.
