do you believe that hitler was really into the occult or is it just heresay?

hitler was a catholic, hence the vaticans refusal to speak against him and the christian writings on the nazi uniform, as such i doubt he would have had anything to do with the occult

I dont think Hitler was into the occult or even the devil as has been portraide. He was a normal man who wanted to bring his country out of depression and the governance of other countries after WWI. He was a brillant talker hench he got his country behind him. But like all who come into power and have a military rule he got blinded by the fact he was dominate and wanted more.

His army did a lot of things which we call evil but it all helped for what we are today, medical, weaponary and fighting skills. It has happened all through history, english empire with grave robbers to learn about the human body, it goes back to the Aztecs and even today.

As for occult - I can't really comment on that but I can say that it would be difficult for anyone in Germany to escape pagan rites, no matter how buried in Christian teachings. Aside from France, Germany is one of the oldest countries in Europe tracing its foundings to way before Charlemagne and the Carolingians.

It wouldn't suprise me if Hitler did have Jewish roots. After the Babylonian Exile, droves of Jews made their way to Europe and settled there.

this thread is very controversial as far as i can see what he did and didnt do was he mental probably , but the things we have to look at being i am a military science major and a history major i would have to say that while some things may be not as they seem and he may have had problems he did have great strategy while he copied moves from history him self he did have several battle tactics that were rather intriguing, so in my opinion he was a horrible person , but he did have a good battle strategy, even though he was a nut job.

the majority of historical proof points towards hitler being a catholic and the majority of recognized historians will also tell you hitler was a catholic.

Hitler may have been raised Catholic by his parents, but that does not mean that he still held those beliefs when catholics were taken off to the concentration camps just like everyone else. Hitler killed the Catholic movement in germany. Literally killed.

Just because you can find information on the internet does not mean it is factual. There are plenty of Hitler apologists and web sites devote to the entire notion that the Holocaust never occured, are you one of those people? Not everything you read on the internet is factual. If you're interested take a history class from someone who is educated on the subject matter.

I'm sorry but I'm not going to hold something a high school student says on Hitler as diffinitive. There are many educated people on here, some with doctorates who have disagreed with Bliss. One I know in fact to be a professor of Western Civilization and Political Philosophy. My own college education and Catholic upbring affords me the knowledge that Hitler did kill priest the same as he to many other minorities.

And while there are many theories and myths surrounding the "Spear". It was not the Basis of the Movement. But Rather the revival of an Ancient Bloodline and Society. Whether or not these were based on what we consider Occult today, is really impratical to discuss.

Your comments are subtle but important. The Pope's "apparent" neutrality...yeah. Many consider that Pius XII was a hmmm..what's a nice word...incredibly lax on taking stands with regard to the Nazi party. His actions were complex and inconsistent at best. Certain things are said in his defense of course: they were worried about the fascists on their own doorstep who were allied with Hitler, Pacelli (Pius XII) says he feared even harsher retaliations against Catholics in German held lands and so on and so forth. Many of the same reason a lot of political leaders give in the face of not assisting victims of genocide. Pius XII did do some things behind the scenes, but yes, many many people criticize the Catholic Church for not doing enough. However, this is a far cry from advocating, condoning or being complicit in Hitler's actions or motivations as it seems to be hinted at in earlier posts.

My earlier post about birthday congratulations (the one I think you're referring to) was not meant to suggest that the Catholic church condoned Hitlers actions. It merely was to point out Hitlers public apparence as a catholic.

There are many books on the topic of pope Pius XII, and his involvement in that debacle, but both the pro- and con books I have seen were far from any kind of neutral standpoint.

And obviously, I can stand to clarify as well. I was referring to posts other than yours that left me with the uncomfortable feeling that Catholics were being referred to as the motivation of the holocaust.

I believe Hitler was involved in the Occult. Many of the rituals of the Nazi’s were founded on the Occult and pagan rituals. However, Hitler knew that the majority of Germans, who were Christians, would never accept Occult rituals in their government and daily life. To solve this "problem", he Christianized many pagan holidays. He felt it was necessary to use this and many other forms of political and religious deceit to ensnare the Christian masses into his service.

I think Hitlers 'interest' or use of ancient symbology and ritual was more of a political tool than a genuine belief in the power of the unknown. Fascists are strong supporters of symbology to unite people and to frighten those who don't submit to that symbology. More subtle forms like flag worship and aggressive nationalism are still in use today. The use of occult symbology was meant to create an aryan mythology that would support his violent and sociopathic domestic and international policies.
