If you were offered the opportunity to receive the Vampires Bite in exchange for eternal immortality, and the life that goes with it, would you? Think about how this would affect your existence before you answer. Why would you or wouldn’t you take the Bite?

I would not take the bite simply because to live forever while it sounds so good and enticing can get very lonely.

And plus I wouldn't want to live in todays modern world for the simple fact so many would be afraid, I mean think about we are the unknown.

And allso they are still against sang vamps so an immortal vamp would be no different.

i dont think i would take the bite becuase that mean even after my parents had my sisters then my nephews and there kids would die but i would live

I would only on the condition that the one I love did also.

I would not accept the vampire's bite, living forever would mean watching your loved ones die away. Besides that, think of all of the trouble that today's world is experiencing right now. With war, and things of that nature. I don't want to be around to see what the future has in store for us. Most likely just more war and hate and things like that. I wouldn't want to live forever.

if i chose to be bitten, i wouldnt stick around here thats for sure.....lol too much day light...but being on the serious side, if it was certain that i wasnt going to be alone =then i would....if my sigificant other is to join me then i would grateful accept :P

Yeah I mean, if someone was to be bitten with you, someone that you had become close to in your human life then maybe it wouldn't be as bad.

I personally don't believe in the mythical immortal vampire. So if a "vampire" came up to me and tried to make the offer, I would need to leave the grounds of the insane assylum for my own safety.

i can say im not scared of death to a point where it comes naturally but the point im scared of it is the part where i wont be able to hug or laugh with my family again

Population control would be a huge issue though if the hypthoetical immortal creatures existed and then bit all their loved ones to turn them into vampires as well.

Being that I believe I am immortal in a spiritual sense .....I would say no.

I think I would take the opportunity.

Thinking about it carefully, knowing what the life of a vampire would be like I would still take the opportunity to be immortal.

A) because I'd be able to keep a close eye and take care of those I love as they grow,have children of their own then pass.

B) Because I would be able to get revenge on the people who took away the life of some one I loved.

No, I would not. I am way too empathetic for my own good and I don't think I could knowingly harm someone, even if it meant life or death to myself.

I also would not want immortality in any form, I would not want to see ones I love die decade after decade.

I would not accept it. I could not stand to watch everyone I love grow old and die.

Okay, so assuming he/she were impossible to check out, and the vampire seemed besotted with me, I'd go for it because I have lot's of projects I'd like to complete and only one little human lifetime within which to do them.

Interesting...my response is similar to BloodMother's. I don't believe in the mythical vampire, either, but hypothetically...hell yes. I have so much to do.

I agree that seeing people that I love die would be awful, but what do you mean you couldn't live through it? Of course you could. Many people before you have found a way to cope with grief and loss. If you can't find anything else worth learning or living for, you should examine your life.

I'm not afraid of death, but I'd accept a gift of more life as you presented the question. Now, if there's a lot of fine print and I have to kill people to do so, etc... that's another matter.

I suppose it would depend on the relationship I had with the one wanting to bite me..... If i had the promise of never being alone then maybe.... but lonelyness is horrible

i would have to say HELL YES! humans suck! (no offense) they are to fragle and not very powerful! their lives are so short and there is just to much to do before you die.

If i lived forever i would never be bored because the world it always changing.

I'd have to say No. I mean, once your family and loved ones pass on, it would be a very lonely existence. The one thing I would hate is to end up alone.

I would and than I would bite my husband so I wouldn't be alone. But I would only for the fact I do not want to die.

This question was posed a while ago and I said no to it... but now my feelings have changed. I would say yes because I have been doing a lot of life reviewing and there are things that I would have liked to have done and with "life being so short" I cant do them this would give me the opportunity to accomplish things that bring me joy and I can bring joy to others. I would use this new life and immortality for a better use.

For me, that would be an amazing opportunity to see the world, have several Careers, and have dozens of lovers. The only thing that would suck would be having to deal with the Sunlight.

There would be many reasons why I wouldn't want to, but I would still say yes. I don't know any person that wouldn't want to live forever.

I would have to decline the bite. Reason being is that there's too much to lose. I believe in eternal life but not at the cost of my soul,and all the beauties in the world that are seen both during the day or night. Another reason is that If there's a special woman in my life at that time I couldnt and wouldnt leave her. Those that would are very lonely people incapable of loving another but themselves.

Surely they would think of another way to kill the immortal vampire if they make different technologies and medicines. Would you really want to stick around for that?

If it were possible then yes I would. The reason that I would is that I love to learn and everything that I want to learn about would take more than one lifetime. I would love to be able to live for eternity learning everything that I can.

I would need some time to think about it, because I really don't know how I would react to something like that unless it was actually happening hah.

I would have to say yes , it would hurt to see my friends and family pass on and i would miss them terribly but the possibilities of a never ending life would be amazing all you could learn, all that you could do.

I'd rather not be given the choice. I mean if a vampire bit me, then I could live with that and at least if things go wrong I'd have somebody to blame and whine about it to rather than myself. lmao.

I have been thinking on this question. I would think the cost of immortality would come at a very high price. It is true that you would never die but all around you would, friends, love ones and of course your innocents victims.

I think I would take the bite. Yes, you would see everyone you knew die... but who's to say you can't meet new people? It begin to become depressing after a few hundred years or so, but vampires are not invincible... you don't have to live forever if you don't want to. The opportunities that would be present if I were a vampire are too enticing not to pass up.

If I was offered the "vampires bite" as an offer of immortality, I would laugh in the person's face and calmly walk away.

The reason for this is that I do not believe that a person can become immortal merely from a bite. I believe it takes much much more than that.
