This is a sister thread to the Vampire Killings
Do you believe that there are Vampire extremists out there ?
Vampire Extremist- A person who uses the Vampire Lifestyle to justify acts of violence against people and animals .
Cant say ive ever seen or heard of one.
but to use that as an justified excuse to kill people and animals seems rather pathetic.
Well a really good example of one is the kid on the Vampire Killings thread .
It doesnt say he was a vampire extremist
it says he was a self proclaimed vampire
for all we know he could of had mentality problems, or he just could of been crazy.
Very True . Well keep talking people I'd love to have some more info . Thanks for relping
Even if not labeled 'extremest' it doesn't mean they are not. Try anyone that kills another because of religion, they could say they are just cleansing when in actuality they are going to 'extreme' measures. And believing that it is right what they are doing. Killing is killing.. you can call it whatever name you'd like, cleansing, purifying, selection... whatever
But I do consider that all extremist behavior.
I feel that anyone whom does not want to admit that they are whacked and commit any serious crime, will blame or claim anything to place blame. So yes it is very possible...
I can see someone doing this..there always has to be someone or something to pass blame to. What better than to blame your homicidal tendencies on something that people don't understand? It all makes perfect sense.
Yeah I believe so .. as in my thread .. He just abused what a lifesyle is , and used it to his own benefit instead of embracing what it stand for .. Passion and beauty that we call Goth/ or vampiric life ..
I agree with Grievious on that one . That kid knew and understood the Vampirelifestyle and abused it . He abused something sooooooo beautiful and sacred . He's no different from Osama Bin Laden who abuses Islam .
Extremists are jsut part of ever society and even in the subcultures there are some of course there will always be some people that justify their acts by saying it's ok because i am part of a group which gives a bad name...justtake for instance satanist there has been so much negative views because of ppl who do acts proclaiming their membership in such seccular groups
No matter what we do there will be these type of people worldwide.. Its human nature ..
I guess they will always be around . But how do you think we can change those views and images that people have ? It puzzles me that no matter how much good you try to do or show . Theres always some type of backlash .
I beleive there is extremist in everything, vampire lifestyle is not safe from it, it is just mroe easy to see it because of the stereotype already going around
i agree with crying mist..no matter what the lifestyle there are always going to be extremists....
sadly, i don't doubt that it does happen... people use all kinds of excuses for brutality and such...
Yes I believe there are extremists out there. It is sad that someone must take the extreme measures as they do to get their points across. In today's society to many people blame things such as the vampire lifestyle, the occult and the famous satan made me do. People need to blame something else when they get caught in the wrong because they don't want to take the responsibility of their actions. It is just sad.
Absolutely.
There have been cases of people being arrested for vampire-style attacks/murders.
How can we change this? Change the image. *grin* Not that that's easy, of course.
yes i think you can have all forms of people and extremists are one
I absolutely believe that all groups, cultures, communitees, whatever they be called, share a set group of laws, orders, and beliefs. Some would take these things and put them in their own context. Given for example; the bible, its the only perfect example out there. It's to this day, the most studied book in the world, yet, no one can figure out what is the exact way of interperating its contents. Therefore, there are about, what, say a BILLION damn denominations out there, that say the other is going to hell for believing it their way. Extreme? Hell yeah, I'm conviced just by looking at one book.
I think we can help open the eyes of people with the help of sites like this.. Here we have all types of differnt people, all in one basket sort of speak.. Just being here they could learn more of how we react in this community
Sadly we are not immune to nut cases that use what they are.. or believe they are in sme cases.. for excuses for actions that most find unacceptible. And its a veery sad thing.. most of the rest of society hears about the "killer" vampires and see the goth lifestyle and assume that is all there si to the rest of us. THey do not see those of us that are almost exctally like them.. families.. regular jobs.. volunteer work.. all that. All they see is nut cases and people that appear depressed and anti social. ( and I am not saying goths ARE those things but that to a great many people they appear that way)
When vampirism is embedded in a psychopathic personality disorder the potential for extremely dangerous behavior is compounded as seen in the notorious criminal cases. Many of theses cases involve obvious psychosis, however there is a subculture of individuals who practice vampirism out of choice and preference.
Killing people is certainly extreme.
I do not know how anyone can legislate against insanity.
Sadly they are with us, always have been and always will........which is why most folk with other than human traits tend to keep quiet about it.
sometimes for the most part i think people just look for excuses to cover their actions...
wicked kisses and blessed be, darla...
There are cases of a vampire mental disorder; Reinsfelds ( im not sure if that is spelled right) which causes people to kill with vampireic intentions. Other then that people use vamprism as an excuse to lash out on other beings. Rod Ferral? We all know him, he abused it. Personally a Vampire Extreamist is a person who goes nust with the camp. Coffin, getting teeth filed, etc etc. People that kill people and say, "Not my fault, I'm a vampire" are cowards and sick ass individuals
It's sad, but there are extremists in every social group, and I see no reason why Vampirism should be excluded.
it is a shame but some poeple look for any excuse to blame something other than themselves
I full-heartedly support the idea of Vampire Extremests.... Anyone who follows vampire beliefs and lives them to the fullest, would never hurt anyone for no reason. It's a cheesey way of putting it but it's true. As with any other religion/following there will always be those who use it as a scapegoat to do bad things.
yes there are extremist. as i mentioned in the vampire hunters thread. few of my friends, not close but still, kinda went off the deep end. we had to cut ties with them for our safety. now they went to other way and stalk us still.
i know for a fact there are vampire cults so yes i belive that there are some vampire extreamest out there.
People who would kill another person will use anything possible to get away with a murder and they will use any excuse they can think up, no matter what it is...
Any type of Society or religion is going to have extremists regardless. It is a shame though that the extremists tend to give the others the bad name
i think there are some people out there that use the ancient methods of vampire killings...but then again if anyone got beheaded, shot with a silver or titanium bullet, or beheaded..........even a human will die and then the exterminists become murderers
I don't believe acts of violence have anything to do with Vampires or even lifestyles...
I do however believe that people can use the name Vampire as did Charles Manson followers when they slaughtered and wrote PIG on the Walls...it was just something to throw people off. Something to get attention.
Violence is what it is... it is not commited by a title or a name it is commited by the sole person who commits it.
There are extremists in every religion, culture, race or group and there will allways be...
Commiting the Crime and then adding a title to it or in the name of, or for the sake of, makes it less boring.
Of course there are people who use it as an excuse, there will always be people who will use anything that they can as an excuse, but none of that makes it okay in any way.
"A nut case by any other name would still be a nut case." ~ Count Shakespeare ;)
I think that any kind of extreme is bad...when things go too far it's not good for one.
Absolutely. Like most of the other's on this thread have stated. There are extremists in every culture and subculture there is. There will always be some person who does something in the name of something legitimate and beautiful that is destructive and negative. Whether they be completely sane using it as an excuse or someone with mental health issues that actually believes what they're doing.
I think our best defense against this type of thing reflecting back on us, is the education of others. We need to let people see that what we have is beautiful and not violent or destructive.
Darkest Greetings...
I think it is all a matter on how far people are willing to go to fulfill what they feel are their "purpose"
though using the vampyre lifestlyle is somewhat pathetic, just to justify their actions...
and yes, I did hear about a case in Eustis FL, where a self proclaimed vampyre slaughtered a girl's parents...or something along those lines...
Lord Markus
Yep, always gotta be one bad apple spoiling the whole damn bunch. People have used religion, beliefs, etc. for who knows how long to justify radical behaviors such as this.
Ahh yes I believe their are extremists out there and they give people bad names such as the Goth and Vampyric lifestyles. You have shrinks that do the same thing the only thing we can do as a community is to unite and teach these people that we aren't bad their is no justifying a kill of any form. I Other then that I do not know what to say about this
I think we just have idiots in this world, simply. Applying the term 'vampire' to them only further taints the word for those who claim it as a parallel to the myth. They'll never escape the negativity with the 'idiots' abound.
There a nutjobs out there that hate and judge any kind of belief system or life style.
im pretty sure there is people like that....thats why vampires always end up looking bad
Yeah it sucks how just a couple of people can ruin it for a whole bunch of others. Oh well...I guess life is like that.
matthew hardman-17, trying to attain immortality, murdered eledrly woman
Dana Cooper, Roderick Ferrell,
Scott Anderson and Jennifer and Heather Wendorf face first-degree murder
charges and Sarah Remington is charged with being an accessory to
murder. -they killed heather wendorf's parents and claimed to be a vampire cult- VTM blamed by media
allan menzies 22- killed a friend and drank some of his blood and ate part of his head for insulting a movie characted from queen of the damned
The Atlas Vampire (also known as the Vampire Murder Case) is the nickname given to the unknown assailant who committed the unsolved "Vampire Murder" in Stockholm, Sweden in 1932.
A murder trial which has horrified Germany with stories of devil worship and vampirism has heard that a self-styled "Bride of Satan" drank human blood on visits to Britain. Manuela Ruda is accused with her husband of murdering a 33-year-old man beneath a banner reading "When Satan Lives". The couple then drank their victim's blood before making love in one of two matching silk-lined coffins they slept in.Ruda, 23, and her 26-year-old husband Daniel believed they would be reincarnated as vampires.
Jeremy Steinke 23, and his 13 year old girlfriend, murdered her parents and 8 year old brother-
the girl described the gurgling sound her brother made when his throat was cut....both were members of nexopia, vampirefreaks, and various other goth based websites, not actually vampire related...steinke claims he is a reincarnated 300 year old werewolf...so i add it under association....
these are but a few in the last few decades who have killed while having some claims of vampirism.....do you still wonder if there are others....there are many
however this site http://www.theescapist.com/ilf.htm explains that the link between homicidal tendency, and roleplay, has been scientifically disproven by numerous groups such as
Center for disease control
the Association of Gifted and Creative Children
the Albert Einstein College of Medicine
the American Association of Suicidology
A list of these studies and
other information about roleplaying games was compiled in 1991 by
Loren K. Wiseman and Michael A. Stackpole of the Game Manufacturers
Association.
It kind of goes with out saying doesn't it....... there are extremists out there for almost every case or life style or what ever..... There’s always someone who feels they must hide behind something to justify their own actions
I've never heard of a 'Vampire extremist' but with all the other people out there that try to justify acts of cruelty by their own lifestyles it isn't unlikely and it is completely possible. Just shows how messed up people really are and how deluded someone can be.
unfortunately there will always be people whom goes to Extemes in many different forms and Killing is just one of the more serious ones. We have a huge Society and many different beliefs and understandings of things.
Yet to blame ones Extreme behavior on some other thing is just a cop-out to taking responsiblity of ones actions.
And again we have alot of people out there that feel what they do is OK and well it is not. So To me Vampire Extremist.... no just an excuse to do whatever it is that person want to do and put blame wherever. Just my feelings and thoughts on it.
I mean there are alot of Whack jobs in our society and we just have to use common sense when they are put Blame some where and not taking resposiblity for themselves.
They're found within every culture or religion. It's sad but it will always be like that.
i think there're always people trying to justfify their insanity. Since they are sick they need to find a reason to do what they do... today the reason is vampires, tomorrow, who knows...
yes i think that is possible.. someone who feels a deep hatred for the vampiric and the gothic culture, but feels drawn towards it the same time.. might feel disgusted by himself which might cause a shizophrenia (sorry for the spelling, but im not a native english speaker).
this might lead to murderes according to the other thred.. but the chances are very small that this might happen... out of a phsycho-phorensic view
Yes, there are all sorts of people out there... They may or may not be real vampires, but still, they should not be accepted by todays standards if they are going to use a way of life as an excuse to be tyranous.
of coruse there are its just like the cursades people joined to fight and that was it all walks of life attract people who want to hurt
There are extremists for every line of reasoning, every belief and every subculture. One would hope that any society that feels it can recognize such an extremist would marginalize them or force them to get help.
I don't think there's any more extremist violent vampires than there are satanists or goths or any other subculture. In fact, I still believe that vampires and goths are predominantly pacifists and that things like bloodlust or truly dangerous elements of that nature are exaggerated in order to feel different or to frighten those who might not accept someone. In the same way that most punks are really far more kind and intelligent than their outward appearance promotes, I think most goths or vampires are really creative and intelligent and not so base or unevolved as to be truly violent or bloodthirsty to the point of danger.
Seems to be extremists in all walks of life and I feel Vampires would not be an exception. If you want more info on extremists there is a great book by Jon Ronson called. Them: Adventures with Extremists
I'm sure there are.
It makes perfect sense to me..
I've not met one, but why wouldn't there be?
when i was younger we had a few cases in tamps fl, where teens were killing animals to become inmortale, it was realy gross
There most likely are there are extremist in most groups of individules these days that take things a little too far.
