As I understand some people awaken inside with dreams and flashes of a past life or love, myself being one.
What caused yours to start and what are they of the dreams and flashes?

How is there a past life for anyone anyways? Once you are born is that not the beginning for you. Once you die, that would be the end. There is nothing more.

I don't believe in past lives, at least not in the sense that you can actually remember any of them...

When the body dies, the soul is reunited with the Mother Spirit... That's what I believe, it doesn't enter another body.

How can a soul be unique that way?

I am not sure if I believe in past lives or not, but could it be possible that the things that you are seeing in yuur dreams just be things that your sub conscious mind made up? I am not saying that you aren't in fact seeing stuff from your past life, I am just offering another theory.

years ago, i had a odd spell while going through a village in France on a school trip, as the coach was travelling through the village, i recognised parts of the village such as the local church, main streets etc even though i was my 1st trip to France. It was very weird.

I was sitting in class and my teaher was playing this old song back before I was born. I got up and sang it for the class, word for word. Explain that. I have never listened to anything old like that in my life.

I have had dreams that I have lived in certain periods of history. Whether that was a flash of a past life or the fact I am a history buff, I do not know.

I do believe some have lived before. I just have a problem with all those who claim to have been someone famous.

I belive I was an Irish women name Ann in a past life.. I always felt irish.. even though I am 1/2 Italian, and the other 1/2 is Russian/ hungarian and Lithuanian.

Adora's belief is similar to the Buddhist philosophy, and one that I have also come to the conclusion of. Many of us on Vampire Rave believe in "magic" as energy. If our physical containers decompose and release our souls or spirits then it would stand to reason that just as our body is returned to the earth so would our energy force. However, it may be possible that clumps of energy do not totally dissipate, but inhabit another physical composition (ie a human body) and from these bundles of energy we may experience visions of past lives. It is theory only, and I can't claim that any of it is true, but it would explain why some of us don't have past-life experiences while others do. By this theory, though, we should not be so conceited to think that human souls are the only energy being reincarnated.

Well put wolfebone, there is more than just human energy around us.

Still I see it more as cycles; we go through one and either move forward or stay. Only if we are truly stubborn do we go back in our energies.

How we remember them is up to the individual; I tend to think of the memories of past lives as whispers, hints to who I am and should be.

And that is the second part of the Buddhist belief - a sort of Caste system for reincarnation. Which provides us with a reason for morality. We aim to do good until our souls are at long last put to rest.

I have had dreams of living in different times and some seems to awaken something inside like a past memory . I once had a dream when I was 10 that I couldn't get out of my head . So I started drawing pictures / I'm not an artist but something just took over my ability. When My Grandfather saw the pictures he stopped dead in his tracks and took me to the attic and opened an old trunk . In side was an old photo album that hasn't been out since my father was a boy . He showed me photos of the pictures I drew . Now if this was another past life or just a freak of nature i have no idea , but it still makes me wonder if I was one of the people in a past life that was in that picture .

I once viewed as an atheist the same way, lately im sure we have an after life in dimensions terms not religious fantasies. Too much has happened with me as some say wakening inside a past.

Me too I used to just go to France and travel working for food and so forth. I had the homing skills of a pigeon some say, I just seem to know my way odd isn’t it . I just wonder if im good at reading the land, past life or telepathic ambience of some sort.

Yes you have to dig down and spark it some more. Get some photos of the land and so forth see if anything feels familiar or damn right jump out that where you lived before.

I find the vampire stance from some on the soul passing from life to life .. sometimes not even waking for a couple, then sparked by something … it comes.. im experiencing something like that… I still don’t feel like a vampire.

Where they were used to bring silence to the bloodiest battles and were given land in Scotland. The crest means silence to the bloodiest battles.
I have a natural fighting ability that when disciplined I won lots of medals in tournaments.

how some one starts having flashes or dreams of there past life is caused most of the time by some outside force. it could be anything that could cuz it. and to answer the question above how could someone have a past life is simple. the soul or spirt is immortal it never dies.

I dont know if past lives were there or not but I feel if I had a pst life I was a male and I was richer then I am now. And I drowned for my death.

I can say this about past lives. I know that i am on my thrid one and each one is getting harder and harder. one of my past lives i know i died when i was 5yrs. one i know that i had a bother and are parents died when we was real young. and believe it or not i have found my bother from my past life in this life and we are good friends and the reason why we know this is because are blood type is the same. and we look the same also. when i am the only boy from my mom and my dad. so tell me if that is not messed up.

I have had both...knowing things about the past or a place you have never heard of....thinking that you have known that person all of you life after just meeting them....you might have know them before. When I went to Italy I knew where places were before I got there...I felt as if I had come home. I'm not even Italian.

As one who firmly believes in reincarnation, I also believe in past lives. There have been small flashes of things that happened to me from a previous life, and from that I can adjust to the way my life is going presently.

Even growing up in a Christian Church for the better part of this life, even I share a belief in past lives. Back then my perspective was that when the body dies the soul sleeps until the day of judgment. While there ones concious decides wether or not you have lived a good or bad life, and your soul would dream of heaven or hell accordingly. Yet some souls cannot find rest. They wonder seeking to right some wrong, or find some lost love, or even seek revenge on some long dead foe. Sometimes that estless soul moves onto another body. It does not replace the new soul that is there, but merges with it and becomes one with it. They share memories and desires, wants and needs, even tastes in clothing.

I myself have memories I cannot explain. Centuries of life I shouldn't know. Made quite the annoying habit in school when I would blatently tell the teachers they were wrong on thier history. lol My unwanted memories are what sparked most of my interests in alot of what I do.

I'm not sure if I know what is before/after life. The bible sais you go to heaven. However I do have occasional "flash backs" but just because you see them does'nt always mean they are real. They could just be my mind wondering through my own history class, wondering what ir could have been like.

I had this happen to me one time only and I don't remember exactly what triggered it but it was something that someone said to me, just don't remember what they said.

I believe that anything is possible really. I have had dreams of things from the past, rather if they are past lives I have lived, or not...I'm really unsure. I do believe more in souls talking to one another, but I can't say I don't believe in the possiblity of past lives.

I would say that our soul has been traveling forever since its eternal. If it is eternal then it should have been in a previous body. The soul cannot be divided so it has to be on one body only, not on several, although i have to put more though on this...

What caused my awakening was puberty- which was doubly loaded with not only my vampiric awakening (and meeting a friend who helped mentor), but in my family, on both sides, we have different psychic abilities- so I was overloaded with the emotions of waking as well as a tad bit of all that goes with forseeing deaths, events, ghosts, etc.
Luckily, my dad explained the gifts part one birthday over dinner......and with my friend around he helped make me educated on the basics of feeding and knowing I wasn't alone or nuts...but those first mentors never stick around do they?

I too have had alot of past life memories that have been therian, vamp, and normal human-based....many of these were by dreams, but some were also during specific vision quests and meditations.

My past life flashes started as early in my childhood as I could remember. The flashes all end the same way, I don't make it quite far into those lives. Heck this is the first life i've made it past 25 years, I did that just barely.

I am not sure what triggered it but I do dream of a past life I am an old man in the woods and am kinda giuding this group of travlers I don't know where we are going but I know that one of the people is important not like a king but maybe a rich merchant

i just believe that when your reincarnated all your memories are pushed deep into your mind and thats why many people dont remember their past lives....but some people manage to dig deep whether it be by dreaming, music, art, places or memories and therefore remember things...whether they are from a past life or just your imagination we may never know

I have had past dreams about past lives in my childhood it took me a long time to fiqure out what i was dreaming about as a kid but once I thought it out. it only made perfect sence of what I was dreaming about as a kid. i was a soldier in the civil war fighting for the north and I got killed by a bed bullet from the other side of the battlefight. that was the summary of my dreams as a kid.

I don't think that i have had any past lives but i do know someone people who can tell me all about there own past lives with great detail in them, i do believe in them but i just don't think i have had any myself.

im not sure if ihad a past life or not but i do believe in them and yes a person have have awakenings in dreams or in flashes....

i remember seeing this special about how 50 years ago in iraq there was this guy who got shot in the head in a barn. and in like, 2005 they found this young boy about 7 years old who had a huge birthmark in the same spot where the man 50 years ago was shot. the boy says he has dreams about being in that same barn and sometimes has pains in his head.

Most times it is when i see something like a scenery or a stranger i have never met and I feel like ive seen it or knew them before. But its the first time, then ill go to bed and have a vision. like i am really there and a past memory will replay its self.

hmmm i was told i have had past lives before by a very exsperienced medium but noone famous just a witch who was burned at astake in salem mass and yes i actionly have had memories of that. her name was tanya she was a ancester of mine i found out and have alot of her memories. I very much believe in past lives. I also was married to some guy i meant years later in past life when we meant and shook hands i felt a spark and a flash like i already knew him but that was the first time i ever did. I sometimes feel like i am not myself when i have memories of tanya's life it is very strange.

We do have past lives. At leastr I believe so. I've had feelings for people i've never met, those feelings being hatred, love, or something else.

I don't know why it happens, maybe we are to learn something else.

I have know at least one maybe more of them all my like, but I have found at I meet the same people over and over in each life, like a have a friend who when I met him I knew him I had a flash right then and when I went to bed that night I had a dream to fill in what the flash hadn't told me....That some time in the 1400 we had been lovers and evil...I seem to get them the most when I go some where or meet some one I know from a past life.

Ever since i was a child i'v had this one dream..that i dream every few yrs.. I'm standing on this long pier..and this man comes up behind me..places his hands on my shoulders..i'm not scared..just sad..i never see his face and when i wake up..i feel as tho i'v lost something. So if he's part of my past life..i'm pretty sure it didn't end well.

I was able to find a ring under the dirt in cave in scotland. guess what in this life i had never been there, but i knew where i had droped my ring. It freaks my hubby out too when I can pick up on a convo across a space I'm not involved in but can't tell you what just happened in front of me.

my life was really suck because I've seen alot of things that arent existed until in few weeks or months later it came true from my dream and lost some people because of that.

also in my dream and everybody kept screaming for me and begs me to save those people's lives. god thats really fucked it up

I think people do have a past life. Weither it dose or dosen't affect who they are or what they do. If they dream of it and see things that they did or not is a diffrent story. Most people don't remember what they dream.

I think people who are naturally smart are old souls. Very wise people, not wizened by age, or experience, just by intelligence, and somehow...Just knowing. I think that some useful knowledge is sometimes left over from past lives.

Past lives, if we dont have them then where did these memories come from?

I have had many dreams and have been told by friends that I occasional chant or speak a foriegn language in my sleep. Is this from a past life? I cant be sure but I must wonder where else it may have come from.

I believe that we can choose to be reborn, and we can choose to remember some of our past lives. I do not believe that we simply blink out of existance at the point of death. i have had no visions about past lives

I have had re-accurring dreams but not of past lives but of from before I was adopted when I was under the age of 2 after researching them with the biological family I found out that the house and the ppl I saw in my dreams were real and now I know where they are located however the dreams stopped when my biological mother died

I am firmly convinced that in each incarnation, you have reoccuring links with other people, that recycles, until a particular goal is reached, or because they are a soul mate of a type, perhaps not as a live interest but as family, friend, or even enemy.

I can link most of my current or former friends/lovers to almost all my past lives. I have about 3 friends right now who were also known to me in Egypt, a few from Atlantis, a few from France, Ireland, and America in it's early stages. One friend pissed me off in a past life to the point of my cursing him, only to rectify that in this life, and assist him, and sever the negative ties. That way my karma is a bit more balanced.

I'd like to say that maybe when I die this time I could somehow make it so I don't come back, my soul is so tired, but then, I know the gods, and irony would be I'm not done yet with what my goals are.

I have had dreams of things, mostly medieval. I feel certain connections to people or places, like I know them or feel I have been there before.

Another theory I have, is maybe there is another spirit close to me or someone else, who may be feeling these things, and we pick up on it.

My past life dreams and images came much faster when I met my awakener.I always had them, but they became more intense and easier to get to..so to speak as time progressed. Brief flashed became entire dreams or movie like viewing.and now i can slip into one during the day, almost lucid dreaming.

One of my ideas on past lives is that they may be scenes of an alternate reality that flows concurrently with our own perceived reality.

I understand Ankhenanset, I too have moments of realization and flash backs to past times only our faces in the people in the sciences.

I do get a phenomenon where every thing gets very predictable .. I don’t think its anything more than death catching up (destination movie messed me up lol).

I do believe in past lives, but you can not believe everyone who say that they know what their past life was a lot of these people just want attention, but their are a lot of people out their that probably do have past life memories...

i don't know if this is really past life or not but one night i was in the shower and all of a sudden i could not move at all and i saw my grandfather there after i just got out of the shower and dressed and he has been gone for 3 years or more...

I have had dreams about being in 14th century France and I am some sort of duchess in that lifetime.

Mine started when I was 16. I began "dreaming" of a man on a horse, holding a purple ribbon in his hand. As I older, the "dreams" expanded to show me more of the story (which I'd rather not delve into).
Sorry, this is sort of a personal topic for me...I wish I could get more into the story.

I started having dreams about a past life when I was only 4 years old. The dreams repeated over and over until I was an adolescent. There were details in the dreams that I couldn't have known as a young child. Not until I was an adult did I realize how accurate those dreams were! I'm not sure what it all means, but it certainly has made me open-minded about the possibility of reincarnation.

I believe souls can still be unique even if they enter more then one body, I believe that each time they enter a body they pick up on that persons unique energy waves and base their way of life off of that. But I also believe they still have some sense of the way they lived their lives and the things that happened in other bodies and project that to their current host wich is how we get visions of our spirits past lives
