I very much go for the preplanning idea.
With at the very least, a distinction in the path.
I can tell you this...
In my own personal experiance, I have very fluid dreams of the time before I was born and throughout my life. These dreams consist of what I chose for myself, the paths I was going to walk, and the individuals I chose in my life.
Every now and again, I have certain parts of these dreams that are apparently about a council of 12. These 12 are advice givers, watchers, and have warnings for what I do wrong compared to what I need to do to stay on those chosen paths.
I have learned throughout my life that this council of 12 is quite really and not imaginary by any means. If you are aware of the ethereal plane, and travel it on a regular basis, you may know what I mean.
So yes, I do believe we plan our lives before we are born.
These plans also consist of our past lives bonding with our present lives, there is no other way. Same souls, differant bodies.
OMG ! Someone else knows about the Council of Twelve? I'm impressed. :)
It is also this council that does the past lives review while you get to judge your previous lives - not God! But no worries. You get to visit friends and family and have all that cake and ice cream before seeing them. ;)
I believe that we have a planned destiny in our lives and u can try to change it but u will always be led back to your path of your destiny
Yes. I believe they are planned. All those things, including what parents will we have, etc.
That's interesting...council of twelve, got to look at it.
I am thinking maybe no...not so much. Might seem like a neat idea, but what is the purpose if you A) do not remember the plan B) do not follow the plan and C) only hold yourself accountable to yourself?
I believe our souls have their predestined goals and paths, but throughout life we make some decisions that alter them. I'm a strong believer in reincarnation. Smetimes 50, 60 years isn't enough to get things done right. *grins*
No. I don't think we do, I believe in the "Tabula Rasa" or balnk slate, we get to make out of ourselves what we can.
i dont think its us that plan our lives. i think there is a plan and its up to us to choose how we get to it. the plan is there but entirely up to us how we get through it and what we make of it. the path we choose to go down is made by no one but you.
I hoan.
I like the idea that every day is new and different and is how we direct it.
But planning before being brought into the world would be a thing for me to think about :)
I believe that everything happens for a reason, and the choices made each day carry our lives on one of many possible paths. I don't believe life is pre-planned, anything can happen plans are just that until they're carried out acutally.
Yes I believe that we pre-plan our lives before we are born, possibly in one life, we plan for the next life?
Maybe a little planning goes in to it . I know i have changed my lifes plan so many times its not funny .
I think that we set down some lessons that need to be learned in this life, and perhaps how we learn them. I might have chosen a different parent...but I guess it is all for a reason. The council of twelve thing is interesting
i think that our futur is simply the resalt of you past and nothing is predettermand. i think that there is now way that you could even now what is going to who your parents are how can you plan you entire life while youre still spirit
wow i never heard of the 12 before but it issomething to defently research about i find it very intreging and i do believe our lives are planned before we are born. I think that sometimes we just get off that track later in life or some have already said we have forgot what it was. I myself think that is why some of our lives arent what we forseen them to be and now we are just trying to live it as best as we all can.
While I have not heard of this 'council of twelve' or anything like it, I cannot believe I would've chosen this life for myself. I know that, in a way, due to poor choices I did however not before I was born. I am a firm believer that you make your life what it is, good or bad. Nothing is 'predestined'.
Oh yes, I have based my whole spiritual existance on that premise. I believe we have mapped out our basic lessons we are here to learn and experiences and people that will help us learn them. Good and bad will happen. And the meaning of this life is to experience and overcome negativity. That is why we are here. And so how are you all coming along with that? ;)
In my opinion, having a plan would sort of defeat the purpose. This is all a grand experiment/learning experience as I see it.
Its no secret that I have made many mistakes, but I have also had many successes. Then again, I consider having the motivation to get up and try new things to be a great success. I take things as they come, I rarely plan farther than a month ahead, but its usually right in the moment. Planning can lead to great anticipation. Which in turn, can lead to great disappointments. I prefer to live one breath at a time but this is just my philosophy.
I agree completely with soulshroude.. I believe you set a certain task and shall continue to move through our lives until the task has been completed thoroughly.
I think the preplanning theory fits very well with the Karmic concept, wich is predestined, written in the stars, deciding what who won life before planning, and will do according to that.
That poses the question that we might live our lives differently if we knew what age we were gonna 'check out'.....
Good point lifeblood. If I knew at what age I was going to die I know it would affect my actions differently
Actually I would argue it is a good reason to live in the now. Not tomorrow or yesterday.
What we choose to do right here and now. How does that help us as a person? What are we willing to take from the experience to better ourself? Does this change our life path?
Perhaps, or perhaps it gets us back on the track we choose to begin with. If you only see "I need a swift kick" because of your life- then you need to claim your life back.
You choose your path, each and every day. Bad things happen to everyone- it is what we do in those moments and in our darkest hours that are the backbone of who/what we are and will become.
That sounds like it could have been preached from a pulpit.
But what about those that don't have choices....
I remember it said that "even no choice is a choice"
If we're lucky enough to go through life without hardship or problems, does that make us less of a person because we haven't been tested!!
I don't believe we play any part in the advanced planning of our lives, but I do believe that we can control what happens during our lives simply by the choices we make each day.
I think that we do preplan our lives and then during life we are faced with many obsticles and choices and we just need to over come the obsticles and make the right decisions.
it's interesting to think that some parts of our lives might be predetermined before we are born. personally i could never imagine my life after the age of 26 for most of my teenage years.
When i turned 26 i bought a house and totally changed my life, maybe that was what my plan couldn't see past?
I don't think anything is pre-planned, but simply done on a moment.
I think it is a little of both, I think we have a path, but are given free choice to get off it and change it, in that your parents choices might change the way you see the world, so you end up doing something different than your path.
I think that our lives are preplanned, and at different stages in our life when we have to choose between one or two things there are different preplanned paths for each of those.
Even if we take the "wrong" path, it will have already been planned out for us just like the "right" path would have been.
i sure wish i new what my preplanned life would have been if i did this way before i was born. so i could do things i set out to do what i planned but we will never no if we are walking the path we planned as we were born..
If my life is preplanned, I demand a re-do!!! I've experienced a lot of horrible things in my life - things I would not want ANYONE to go through, and WOULD NOT willingly choose to go through. Yes, these things have made me stronger, but I would choose different ways to get stronger!
I highly doubt that life was preplanned. There are so many factors in life that make planning an impossible task. If we planned our lives, why would some people choose to be poor or abuse-victims? Why would anyone want to choose to do harm to another person or animal? Why would anyone choose to live on the streets with drugs in their veins, and a chill in their bones?
This is why I believe live is spontaneous and unplanned. And why I believe we should all treat one another kindly and respectfully. We should help one another as our time here is limited. If everyone did this (and more), we'd have a much better world to exist in.
I believe in past lives and remembering things from them, but as for planning life brfore it happens sounds a little out there to me. But who knows it could be a possiblity.
I believe everything that happens within our life happens for a reason. I don't know if it's planned or not. but it happens for a reason.
Well I believe that our life could be pre-planned and that we might plan our own life and it could be lost in time or in our own minds. We do loose a lot of things amongst our own thoughts and dreams.
Just because certain aspect of the life may be preplanned, the travels you endure are most assuredly not. Basically, your path is not predestined, just the friends you keep, your family and your life.
It is all a choose your own adventure...Respect the path, don't tred lightly by any means.
I really dont believe we plan our lives before we're born. I mean come on I definately wouldn't of chosen the life I'm living now.
I dont think we or anyone/thing plans our lives before we are born. I do believe our destiny is planned and it is only us that can change it.
it we're talking about general stuff like idk sexual orientation, the type or person we become, that sort of thing..?
yes some things could be "planned" that early in life...
if its like will i have a car at 16....ummm no.
I believe that is part of the "teaching" of Hicks -Abraham
That idea is very beautiful and interesting...
I believe it to some extent.
I also believe that there is a path for us...
Almost like a really long road with various forks in it... Each leading us in different ways, but with the same destination.
And to some point, with the planning idea, as our spirit develops before our bodies, it must set up those paths for us to walk and make our choices in life. ^_^
I beleive that we have a pre-determined future by the way of fate. We all have a specific path and fate will guide us through it.
I think that our souls remember their past lives but don't think the human body could retain so much so they live new lives for each host
I've not had a council of twelve; I've had a council of about two or three, perhaps one or two more, but no more than that. When I connect with that scenario, it's always me sitting in a small room with between one to five sitting at the table with me. The strange thing is, sometimes there are two versions of myself; one that is completely unaware of what is transpiring in the room, and the other that is acting something like a go-between.
I believe in reincarnation because of my first memory; that of being about fifty feet or so in the air, watching a black towncar turn a corner, then moving speedily toward that car, listening to a voice chant "We're home! We're home!" and get louder...and suddenly I was the one chanting, and then I asked (I remember this very clearly) "Where were we just?" I'm also told that I was born with blonde hair that fell out and grew back in dark. Which by itself may mean nothing, but I find it interesting, in any case.
I refuse to believe that our lives are "planned" out before we are born. It takes away from having any free will and choice in life.
I make my own choices, it's as simple as that.
i think that before we were born we were in our other life sort of like a passt life thing.
i dont believe that our lives are pre-planned in the sense that everything is set before we're born...some things i think are pre-determined but everything is also subject to the choices that we make during our life
That's an interesting thought. But what about all the people who hate their life? If they pre-planned their life to be like that, would they hate it so much? In theory, everyone should feel completely satisfied with their life if they had planned it themselves. And we all know that is not the case.
I don't know though. Maybe I don't have a point at all, I'm just throwing the idea out there.
i believe that we cannot plan out our life before we are born, it just happens.
a choose your own adventure is a perfect exanple as soulshroude stated . We all have choses, and in the end depending on which road you took it will lead you on. I strongly believe in past lives and we will continue : recycling" until we get it right. Jens of course no one wants to live a like as a victim that would just be insane.
But everyone can not be the same we are all our own, and the choices we make reflect back upon us.

Well, even if we did pre-plan our lives... If we forgot them then those plans were obviously not set in motion which means it has no effect on us at all and therefore almost like there was no plan at all to begin with.... So why worry?
i hink it could be possible especially if its based on a system of belifes dealing with certain relious backgrounds but i personally think we are given certain choices when we come here and things change acordingly to what we chose to do and such, you know like an existance of making our very own fate and destiny.
Must of been planed drunk for sure…. No one in there right mind would of planed my life. Lol
Im still looking for the guide book to my life
I don't believe we are a "spirit" before we are born at all nor do I believe in past lives or reincarnation. I think our souls or spirits are created and shaped as we live our day to day lives.
I read it too, by any chance was it Gothic Grimoire of Kostantinos?
I don't know I find it difficult to believe it, why would we choose to suffer, even though in the book it stated that we plan ourlives but then how we react is up to us...maybe when we are souls we don't have the concept of pain, but then why it'd be in the majority of life?
I am still not much convinced of this idea...
People from non-structures Spiritual religions have said they believe we go to a large council, we choose who are parents will be and what lessons in the life we are in now we need to learn.
DESTINY, PREPLANING, SOULMATES, blah blah blah blah, FREEWILL, only preplaning in the human race is test tube babies!!!
Freewill would the one thing that does kill the theory of being planned....
I believed it is planned. yes we have freewill but i think who are parents are and where we will be born is planned ahead of time.
I try to keep a open mind on all things possible as i have seen miracles in my time.
That idea sounds completely senseless to me.
I think that life is in no way preplanned by the one living it.
Life's experiences come as they will and go in the same manner.
if life was preplanned we would go through it like drones, im not a drone im a real boy!!!
Sadly, VV, some people beg to differ. Not me of course, but there was a whole predestination movement a while back. Kinda freaky when you think about it though. Takes 'God-given free-will' out of the picture.
I'm not sure I would say that we plan our lives before birth, but I wouldn't argue that it is planned...to a certain extent. I think that we change our paths with different choices. Nothing is set in stone.
This could very well be true, but even if we forget what we were put here to do, there is always destiny.
I belive in fate, I belive we are all destined to do what we do.
i have heard of this, let me tell you i surely would not have chosen the path i took ...i cant imagian someone chosen so much pain... i guess for me the jury is still out to deliberate on tis topic
As a member of the universal consciousness I am certain that I picked this life/body I'm living through now.
The basics of the package were shown to me, just as in a travel brochure, but the variable options and amenities are up to us as we proceed through this life and then back into the consciousness.
There are no external feelings for a being of pure light and energy, so even a simple life filled with pain and strife in this dimension can look wonderfully exhilarating. :)
perhaps, it seems unlikely to me personally however.
but there is great technology to plan biologically what genes and characteristics the fetus will take on! how clever, go science!
Sounds like a bunch of bullocks if you ask me. We're born knowing nothing. Our lives are results of our own actions.
If it was possible it would probably make life alot easier for some if they could plan out what their life would be like before they were born.
That could be debated easily. Someone could plan to be the dictator of Earth.
I have never thought about or heard about something like this.
It is very possible tho.
Definately something to think about.
I have actually heard of this. Some think that before we are reincarnated into a body, our spirit plans our future path for us, and it's forgotten at birth. The thing is though, if this is true then why would someone choose a hard path? Like being murdered, drug addict, sick, ETC.
babies hold the keys to the universe.
I'm not being sarcastic either. I'm very much into this idea.
I would not have planned the crap I am going through - but a basic life plan - maybe. If I had one, I am definately sure I have forgotten it and lost my way.
Has anyone heard of a way to get the plan back?
i think nothing is planned
and everything that is planned...
gets FUCKED!
its pointless planning, or thinking anythign is planned.
life is filled with to much chaos.
My only thought is, who is the super-baby that remembered in order to express such a theory?
We can plan are life but fate is always there and life is always changing nothing is set in stone.
No offense, DJ, but your statement is a bit [way] rediculous.
well I can say I agree or disagree with this. Possible and it's also not possible. Yeah confusing, I get it. But I am leaning more towards the fact that things are planned for us before we are born. Why else do things happen the way they do?
I dont think we preplanned our lives. But I know that God has/had intentions for our lives. and if we follow his will, he'll continue to let us as we want. God planned our lives before we were born and he knows everything. and if you don't believe in God, I think it just randomly happens, but he does have something to do with it.
AngelxofxDarkness - Perhaps by the actions we ourselves make in life.
