SO... As a sort of example, my eldest cat who will be twelve this year is constanly doing stuff like a human, I expect him to start talking one of these days honestly... He does stuff like turn lights on and off when appropriate, punishes the other cats when they do stuff wrong (like get in to the trach or get on the counter) has brought me loose rodents and birds (Pets that have escaped from their tank/cage at some point) Alive and well, will open and close doors, take showers with me, sit in the front seat of the truck when I am driving, watch TV with me, Has done other stuff that I don't want to mention. In general... Stuff not normal for a cat, but normal for a human... Do you think that human spirits/souls can be in Animal bodies?
Sounds like my cat lol and she thinks she's part dog so what does that mean lol
Jinx was raised by a dog and me... but he has almost killed a dog too... He would have too if I didnt rip him off... I mean some dismiss it as ohh it is animal senses, but when I am upset he comforts me, when I am energetic he wants to do stuff with me when I dont want to do anything he lounges with me. He has forced my husband out of the bed before to lay next to me! That was funny as hell, lol
That's how animals are and my cat wasn't raised around a dog but she loves to play fetch lol
I have had and currently have lots of animals, lots of different animals... and while they all have their own personalities and such, none have ever acted as human as he does.
Every animal I've ever owned have acted the same as the cat I have now lol
our cats do the same ..... alot of human traits in them.....we have one that will "talk" so to speak..... lol
Yeah, him too... He has been bugging me to go to bed and I told him go to bed I will be in shortly so he walked off into the bedroom and came back out about ten minutes later and started clawing my meg and yelling at me... sort of saying hey! Get off the damn computer and come to bed like you said you would!!!
My dog and this is the truth. When I take her to a certain location she heads right to the bank when I make my car payment...then she will walk in the direction of the New Age Store I go to afterwards. She has a different bark for what she wants. She also has to beat me up the stairs or walk in front as tho she is walking me. Animials are wonderful companions.
I have had pleanty experiences of having animals thinking that are humans I think it the way there are treated
I have so many animals... Like I said they all have their personalities, but he just stands out... maybe it is how long him and I have been together... it will be 12 years in june... I am going to be so fubar when he passes....
i've had a few like that too. i remember walking into a room one day to find my cat looking at a computer manual - eyes darting back and forth, and then turning the page when she got to the bottom.
He has done creepy stuff like that too... he just tried shutting the top of the laptop... unplugging it too... lol.
Although it is very possible that your cat has a friend, family member, or just a gaurdian's spirit... But another thing to keep in mind is the intelligence that felines have... My kitty, Killer, is very understanding. He knows when I'm upset or if I'm not feeling well. When I'm happy he wants to do things with me aswell... I have heard of cats that will learn to use the rest room the way a person does... But with out the litter training pan... Just by seeing what their human does and mimicking it... I have another cat... She likes to play fetch. She wasn't raised around dogs constantly either.... It's an amazing thing what animals will learn on their own...
True true... one of the kittens... well they arent kittens anymore... they are two now... but still the youngins, lol he fetches, rolls over, is a great dog, bigger than most yappers too, heheh. His sister well we call her our special kitty because she is well... special, an absloute whore when it comes to attention but she is a little slow mentaly. Cute as hell though chocolate point siamese with crossed purple blue eyes... funny though... all three of the kittens look so different you wouldn't know they were related unless you saw the pictures of when they were kittens...
"He does stuff like turn lights on and off when appropriate, punishes the other cats when they do stuff wrong (like get in to the trach or get on the counter) has brought me loose rodents and birds (Pets that have escaped from their tank/cage at some point) Alive and well, will open and close doors, take showers with me, sit in the front seat of the truck when I am driving, watch TV with me, Has done other stuff that I don't want to mention."
That is a one amazing piece SarrienaDarkRose, I have to say, truly amazing.
Ich bin Begeistered!
I have had a few like that too.
I remember walking into a room one day to find my cat looking TV Luciano Pavarotti Opera, and then starting to sign the opera with him, and with such a precise tact, and wich I never saw for a cat that can do.
Truly amazing, the skill and devotion of our little friends, where would they go far in couple of years to come I wonder.
To bad that they are both dead.
cats like to mimic us. they are intelligent, but it is an alien intelligence. i had another cat who was constantly playing with remotes - pressing the buttons, and clutching them tightly. i guess they imagine that if they copy our little rituals, they will have our power and be our equals. we are like gods to them.
Wow, nice to see he impresses someone other than me, its like him and my husband fight for my attention sometimes when my husband and I were playing a bit.... rough shall we say lightly I yelped in pain and he came hauling ass into the bedroom and attacked my husband it was sort of amusing after the initial shock factor
Yes, SarrienaDarkrose, I am very impressed.
I thought I am the only one experiencing such intense things for wich the mind is not readily to believe.
I am relieved indeed to see that there are other people there.
i honestly believe that an animal can host a human spirit. For example my dog just does everything a human would do. Just like your cat. i sometimes wonder if someone that i know that has passed away is in her. i dont see why an animal cant be host to a human spirit.
Would agree.. most animals are incrediably intelligent creatures. Especially felines. My cat Sox has many human like qualities. I think that they do tend to mimic us but have never ruled out the possibility of a soul incarnate. I know I personally have always said that if I come back I want to come back a cat in a good home. *giggles* Got to love them animals.
I have a zoo... I love any and all animal and will readily take anything in.
Heh...Impressive that you have an animal that does many things that are against its nature.
Perhaps get some of these behaviors on film?
I agree completly with you on that one Morrigone.
It would be for global awakening and education of those wichs buissy way of life and strangulated schedule misses out on alot of what they are working for precisely for all days.
It would be to show them that there is nothing to rush for, but to observe their surroundings, in that familliar spirit, in the spirit of peace, where one is wondering his ass off, about what all animals can do.
And there is so much and wich we are missing and that is happening on the way for poo, and back!
Please SarrienaDarkrose, make some videos. Lets make those astonishing moments a history here on the Vampire Rave, a site for truly vampire, occult, gothic, and paranormal things, for the ordinary eye to witness.
It would be my pleasure, as everybodies I am sure!
I am openminded about the theory, that's where other kin may come in...
Our world is so mysterious. What else can it show us next? heh. I have seen human-like qualities in some animals. Strange as it is, I believe it is possible. I have never seen a cat seem like it's reading though.... Not yet. :P
This is actually one of the fields of study I am currently researching with my psy degree. There is proof that animal and human intelligence may not be so different. We continually give animals "human traits", but in reality humans are no more or less than what evolvution as given them. We merely need different functions in order to survive than animals. Animals may mimic us, but that is exactly how human childern learn to develop their own behaviors. Animals may just not care to be human, therefore, may just not want to behave in a similar fashion.
maybe we are unconsciously training them. even an animal knows that if it behaves the way we want it to behave it will be rewarded, and that if is behaves in ways we dont want, it will be punished. maybe they behave like us sometimes to earn approval, or to become accepted by us.
Doesnt that also mean from birth animals can tell right from wrong or are they taught it by our rules
I think it's more a case of some animals being smarter than others.
There are some cultures who believe in animal/human reincarnation....personally I don't.
Forward is the way....not backwards.
I think that human spirits could live in animals. I mean if a human spirit can haunt a house why not an animal too. Or it could just be that our pets just copy us. After not being in the wild what else is there for them to do?
I have a cat that thinks it is a dog...he sits on comend and returns little toys when you throw them for him...
lol
I think some animals or pets can develope human tendancies as they are around us all the time. But I dont think they can have human spirits.
Well I believe in reincarnation so from my point of view it very well could have been you great uncle or your next door neighbor .
I my self have been a cat too many times and carry over many cat traits..lol
Animals can have human qualities as they're both mammals.
Almost the same if you look a certain way.
animals have human qualities but are also a little more intuitive animals trust their senses much more then humans due and that is smarter then paying attention to what people say they lie.
i do not hhave a story to share off hand..... however i do understand what u r saying
Humans are just another branch on the animal tree. We are no better or worse than say a cat or dog. We are just a different species. If you watch the discovery channel, animals have their own sense of right and wrong. It just doesnt translate over exactly to how a human would see it. The needs to survive are different.
I would be a billionaire if I had a video camera.... Add all the funny stuff, the weird stuff and the most likely porn stuff I would be filming.... I would make bank But alas.... I do not own a camera... of any sort... not evern a regular one, lol
Some cats tend to think their human whern they loe their owners and are taken good care of.
Nearly all my pets since I was a child tend to have this ability.
I think its more that we see something and relate it to the human. The same as when we do something like an animal we relate it to them.
Yes I believe in reincarnation and that we as humans can come back as any living life form.
perhaps when it happens a part does come back with us
Animals are very smart and can learn to do just about anything
we're more alike than different . and just like peaple ,we all have our tallents and what were good at naturaly . some it just takes longer to catch on to and learn from there moms . you have instinct and learned and the more time you spend with them the more they act like you .
Animals learn rather quickly, and will learn from those who take care of them
I know that if a cat brings you a live animal ( mouse, bird, etc...) that is a present to you from them its their way of telling you that they love you.
I have a dog that would sleep in a bed and that the only place she would sleep, she even had her own pillow too.
Cats are like humans, My cat one of the 6 I have sit like I do on the couch . They watch tv with me and its funny, They follow me in the kitchen and when they are hungry they wake me up in the morning run across my bed and me to i get up and feed them. They aslso bother me when im on line because that is the way of their letting u know they want ur attention. And for them bringing in dead birds and mice that is their nature . You have to say thank u and let them know they did a good job.
My Doberman acts as if she is a teenage girl. She trys to get the attention of all the "boys" and not male dogs. She has to sit like people do and even gives hugs to you when you come home or when you are leaving, and believe it or not my Doberman actually smiles. Not the panting look that people assume is smiling she actually lifts her upper lip to show the front row of her teeth with her mouth completly closed. She will stay like that until you give her an affectionite pat. She is not a tail waggler she gives affection to people the way people would. So I would have to say yes I do believe animals have human spirits in them.
I believe that in most cases it is us humans that let go of our animal instincts. These forgotten instincts actually connect us more deeply with the multiverse. Many of us plug in (to technology) & tune out (of the universe around us). Humans that are MORE in tuned seem to realize how smart (even uman like) animals truly are. In some cases one might perhaps realize an almost psychic connection to then.
Actually I think some animals do have human tendincies. You see I have a dog and cat that act just like humans.
Jeff my cat is like a human he sits in a chair like one. Sometimes its like he is talking to me, WLP has asked me why I was talking to my cat, he think I'm crazy. I've always had human like animals, some I though were true humans at one point in time.
Animals are very smart.
All the response so far wich are describing these experiences prove it.
Theres so much we have no idea about.
We are way too buissy to observe.
That is a very interesting question. One to ponder on for sure. I believe just in my experiances with animals that it is very possible for them to posses "human" souls. I'm not a huge animal rights activist or anything.... I eat meat and stuff... but I do believe that animals have souls and feelings and the sort. My dog that I had since my 11th birthday was my best friend. Even when he got old and onrey.... he knew that the girls were my "pups" and kept them safe much like the dog we have now does. He would let us know if there was some one around that he didnt trust... and would let me know when he was ready for bed or wanted something. I remember a time when Me my mom and my dad were all in my parents room eating dinner and watching tv and he was begging my mom for food and she looked at him and said "Your too late on this end i'm finished.... daddy has some left on his plate" My dog actually got up and walked around the bed and sat infront of my dad and began to beg. He also used his paws as hands grabbing things like his toys and would lay on his back and hold the toy infront of his mouth with his paws.....
I MOST DEF agree here
my cat manson
if he wants me to go to bed....he lifts his eyes to upstairs....he sits on the staircase....if you just go to the loo
he starts.....
i feel i can "talk" to him about anything...
and by jees...he listens.....
he is beautiful too :)

As far now I did read only two of animals very carefully.
One is the Dog it though so not use brain like human in politics or dominating others,
though it do not have vocal communication.
Its intelligent kin using its senses vry carefully and first defensive and later open to art other qualities in favour of you. It can give life to protect you no less love it give you when you are lonely.
It have all other things same as human except limbs
Other kin rabbit.
it too love you most when it come to know that you are its care taker.
otherwise you cant expect in its very small life to show you the intellact but love it show you by pinchng to your leg fingers or hand, its he enough in its kinship.
i agree wholeheartedly i mean i used to have this cat named george and he was so human acting it was silly i mean i would let him out on nice days and if he ended up getting muddy or dirty he would step on the mat in front of our house and wipe his paws he loved taking baths and he was just adorable but he got hit by a car once...and he lived and then when i moved away and couldent take him with me he ended up getting hit by a car again and died i felt so bad but i still swear sometimes i wake up and get a weird feeling like he is curled up next to me where he used to sleep anyone ever get a feeling like a lost pet is still by you?
I think human souls could be reincarnated into animal forms, so I would agree that it's possible. It would explain a lot!
rav there are some human souls in the bodies of animals.
Animals are smarted than we think they are, aren't they?
My cats never cease to amaze me. Like young children, I have to spell out certain words I don't want them to hear ( treat, roast beef, chicken, go play - which means time to go out on the deck -)
They all fetch, and play soccer with each other. Except for the 2 youngest, they will give me kisses when I ask for one, and the fat one will also hold out a paw to shake when I say 'hello'...
And when I come in for the day, I'm greeted warmly, and they get the same from me. Cool, huh?
Here is one for you, what about people having animals souls?
I can totally see it...my parents had the pleasure of seeing dancers possessed by animal gods - totally behaving like the animal/god inside them during various cermonies.
( this was in West Africa before my time)
So, Yes, I think it can go both ways.
Ok besides the troll in the the forum.
I have a friend, Warlordprince, he has more of a feline side, all the cats we see love him. Plus is acts kinda like a tiger.
I believe it can be both animal senses, and that human spirits can pass into animal bodies. They know how we feel, some things that we say, ect. They have different personalities like humans. And not just dogs and cats, all animals..birds, fish, reptiles, ect. I once had a Betta fish, who have a rep for being nasty, but I had one, Blaze, who watched me whenever i was in the room, and would let me pet him (I know it sounds weird)
They remember things, people who hurt them, places (like the vet or groomer)
So many people take them for granted, and say there just a stupid animal and don't matter, don't have feelings. God help the person who I come across and thinks that.
i do believe that humans can be reincarnated as an animal but i also feel that our pets try hard to please us by imitating what they see us do on a daily basis.... i wanted to open a thread that this one kinda touches base on my grandmother continues to tell me animals have no soul i should not grieve for animals for this reason i believe they do have souls but many people say NO please people of the VR give me your opions on if animals even have souls

I think your pets can have human like tendencies. Sometimes you think it is learned behaviour from watching your habits. But then sometimes they will do or bark at you at a strange moment and have you thinking or wondering lol.
So I think they can! But unsure if it is because they have a human like spirit or it is just from observing us.
My animals have not displayed that level of behavior, but they all have traits and behaviors that are very...human.
The latest is our younger cat, who is going on 14 years old, seems to be upset that we have gated the room with the kitty food and litter box. He is not comfortable with jumping the gate, so he attempted to get on my good side by jumping up on my lap and giving me love rubs.
Does not seem like anything special, right? Except that he has not done that to me in years...
Damn beast is trying to butter me up.
Maybe. I think a lot of animals are smarter than we think, and so they might take note of our habits, and start acting like us over time...So, especially if its your eldest cat, I think that'd be a good explanation for it.
LivnDeadgirl, I think some animals possess more soul than many humans.
Just the fact that many pets are so loving and tolerant makes me believe that there is more to them than just a body.
speaking of cats, I have 1 female cat and she is a trip to watch. She does alot of weird things that only you would think humans did them. For example, mine talks to birds outside my window, she comes in the bathroom to wath me do my business and shower, she watches Tv too, and lastly she for some reason knows when you talk or yell at her for something bad or good she knows what your saying. Question? are any kind of aninals actually once was humans?
I distinctly remember a member of my clergy saying to me that my pet didnt have a soul. So, being me and questioning everything I asked why. He said because it was not baptized into the Church of the Lord! Well, excuse me!! hah, and being more naive in those days I promptly got a prayer book and went through the ritual ;)
Have any of your animals known when something is wrong? Like if you are sad or hurt they come to help you? Would this be like having a soul?
I like the idea...
Let us start a religion that believes that animals do have souls and inorder for them to be a recipent of salvation, they must be baptized, perform confession, and perform communion, kitty and doggie style!
Maybe even start up a televangilsit animal show!
There's money in them there hills...
i think that animals have souls, but not "human" souls.
i don't think that animals are humans. animals have animal souls, humans have human souls.
When I'm away at university I have to phone home every night so one of my cats can talk to me. He sulks if I don't call and will refuse to purr for me if I tell him off if someone tells me he's been bad.
I don't know if animals have souls, or human souls. I've always thought of my animals as my family members so if they had different souls than me that would be very disturbing in my eyes. My puppy, well, not puppy, she's almost six, practically talks to me. I know everyone says that and it's true every single time. Every time I ask my dog something she answers me with a little growl or shake or her head or tail wagging. example: if I ask her if she wants to do something she doesn't want to do she growl, if she wants to do it she wags her tail, etc. So, does she have a soul? I think so. Does she have a human soul? I don't know. Can't we just say that a soul is a soul, reguardless of the physical shell that it comes encompassed in?
domesticated cats and dogs are pride and pack animals...they simply take cues from you and are extremely sensetive to your body language and emotions.
indeed the above comment sdaid it all their not humans reincarnated in my opinon but have simply learned the rules and have been broken in to following them doing what needs to be done and knows what the master needs and wants and trys to mimk whatthe humans do such as flickering the lights on and off when appropreit or flushing the tiolet using the toilet exetera eating at the table using utencels and so on it is all a matter of smarts that they have to try to please in a way thats what I think.
I believe that anything that is alive, has some kind of soul or spirit. This includes plants.
something very special and unique how a human and a pet dog or cat or even horse have a very special bond and each pick up traits from the other. When sad, how a dog will find you and put their head in your lap to cheer you up.. how a cat will curl up on you and make you feel the love that is there just between you two. Sometimes you wonder why that specialness is there and what else is at work helping it along.
Humans are animals. Animals have emotions and thoughts. I think it's silly when a lot of people forget this.
So what. Got a cat who calls my wife "Mama" - clearly pronounced - and also knows exactly who "Mama" is. And she writes emails. To the only two entries in an adressbook - of hundreds - who also own (if one can own one) a cat.
Has she got a soul?
Well, I haven't found if I've got one so by what experiment should I test ...
Is she intelligent?
Can't say that, though she clearly seems to be more so than the average web-troll. Which could also be said for any fire-hydrant.
But she doesn't enjoy playing chess ... A bad loser!
I would hate to think a human would be reincarnated as an animal if animals cant have human souls or vice versa. That would throw everything for a loop.
I have wild cats, a male and a female who have had a few litters of kittens, and the male takes care of the kittens as much as the female does. he makes sure they eat, just like a human dad, he makes sure they don't get into trouble, just like a human dad.
I have cats in the House who actually use the toilet, and not a litter box, and flush afterwards. Those same cats can open and shut doors by using the doorknobs.
I also have a Siberian Husky who goes to the fridge, opens it and will get me a beer and close the fridge back. That same dog will also get the t.v. remote and turn the thing on with his nose and flip the channels until he finds something he wants to watch.
All of these animals like to sleep in the bed, with their heads on pillows and blankets tucked around them.
I think it is a question of which animals display the most intelligent tendencies. In that way, they are much like humans as well. You have some that are smarter than others. You have some that are better treated than others.
Yes, I think that some animals act more like humans than others, but who knows it could be a human reincarnated as an animal, you never know. I treat my animals like they are not just family, but I treat them with love and as I would want to be treated, no matter if I was human or animal.
i think it is possible to have a animal that is possessed by a human spirit as well as a human by a animal spirit or ppl that come back as a animal ect.
I believe it can happen to. I just think about what they might have been in a past life or who they could have been.........a female cat could be Princess Diana you never know.
I've always wondered the same thing about animals. I have a female pet cat who was once a stray that I swear is a human woman trapped in a cat's body. When we first found her, a tattoo artist at a local tattoo shop was caring for her. She would sit outside the shop and greet every customer that stepped in. She truly watches TV, and pays more attention to our male friends than female friends. All of our guy friends think it's creepy the way she behaves with them. If I buy a bouquet of flowers, she will want to sniff them, especially roses. She also demands scented litter, and will not use the box otherwise. On top of that, she hates to stand in the litter box, and will put her paws on the edges so that she doesn't get them dirty. Maybe it's just me seeing something that isn't really there though. But, as far as animals having human spirits or souls, I believe that anything is possible.
im not sure sure it would be cool to know because my cats very stange and does human like stuff like opens doors and uses the tolet no litter box for him hes a ver strange cat and very smart
With the execption of a few people , animals are NOT just a bag of flesh walking, swimming , flying , crawling randomly, brainless in this world. They have thoughts, and emotions . Just like us , but it is mostly limited the how they precieve their world. They may mimick us , especially if we are their olny companion.
Just because they do not have our level of intelligence and technology , does not mean they are stuipd. Do we as a so-called higher spieces, have THEIR abilities of survival and intuition anymore? It has been evolved out of most of us because of enviorment.
Not really that hard to figure out unless your a total recluse and have never been open to them other than an expendable version of a very expensive toy.
You can train cats to use a toilet instead of a litter tray, but some cats do have this innate ability, as well as other things. We used to have a kitten who liked eating with a fork, right from first getting her.
I did read somewhere that an animal who displays human-like traits is usually a Familiar, but I've never come across one myself to verify it. My female cat occasionally tries to bark, but normally she just acts like what she is; a stuck-up feline!
Yes I do believe, but doesn't this make you think of re-incarnation ? Like you said, that the cat acts more human than what he is..... a cat.
and on top of that note I just recently lost my dog Loki...yet she would smile and acted very much like a person with the way she knew when she was trying to get away with things like a child...and I do hope that she is back again to bring laughter into someones life...
I want ur cat. She sounds like a good friend. Anyways my answer to ur question would be part of it is learned behavior. Part of it is from reincarnation. Cats ARE super smart though.
about the only oddities from an animal i had was a cat that would sit on it's butt like a person and lean against the wall when he did, he slept on his back all spreaded out, and if you acted like you were going to box with it, he would sit up and box with you. :D
