What is the meaning of life in your own words?

I for one believe it is the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, a coexistence with the gods/desses so that peace may prevail and overshadow the demonic forces against us....... But you can't have good without evil *lol*

The meaning of life is nomore than a path of broken dreams and unachieved goals. Life means noting to me cause I have nothing to lose. I lived and and tried for better things but I have nothing to show for it !!

I cant say I know the meaning of life because I am undead and I dont know the full meaning of it yet...

since apparently anytone can take a swing at this, let me throw in my two cents. Why do life have to have a meaning? Why does everything have to fit into some delinated box or be explained away? Personally, I think that life doesnt have a meaning, its something one experiances and if its good or bad you learn till one day ideally you learned and experianced enough to pass on that to others before leaving this world behind. But hey for all I know we are all hamsters in some giant rat trap of exisitance.

Life is the gift of the curse. Alot of people believe, how you live the life you are in now, will reflect upon your next. So if you live a honest and respectful life, you shall be rewarded... Where if you live one against the rules ie; murder and such.. you will be punished.
(so all those people who have got it bad now, you have only got your last life to blame!)

It's a stupid question, in my opinion. There's a million different reasons for life. Each may be different for each individual... Some people want nothing more than to marry and reproduce... And that would be their meaning of life; to reproduce. Stupidity if that's all you want...but it supports my theory all the same.

Life is a lesson.....

Every experience we have, all the joys, all the pains, and everything in between, prefpare us for the next level of enlightenment.

Sometimes we learn enough the first lifetime around......sometimes we get it right after several lifetimes.

But in the end......its what we learn from our life that will guide us in the next.

i rather like the repeated notion in hhgttg that the search for meaning is really just one of many ridiculous ways of occupying one's time...not one that i choose. I feel certain that if i knew more answers to great philosophical questions ... i'd be disappointed ... if not absolutely horrified.

The meaning is what you make it. it is differant for every person. it is what makes us tick. for some it is a long path of depression and despair, for others it is rich and joyous. make it what you will,

Why put a definition to something that is so fragile yet so strong?

I don't think that there is an absolute meaning for life. I'd say that each of us have something which makes our life meaningfull. mine, for example, are beer, weed and music.

well if you ask me no one can truely say what the meaning of life is but all you can do is live your life out to the fullest and never look back at what you do in life because this was how it was ment to be to tell the truth that what I think. I think that every thing happens for some greater reason and that is your reason your meaning of life. so thats what I say not like anyone cares relly.
