To truley understand the movie, the way it was meant to be, read this script, closer to the book then the movie was...
Tell me what you think

lol here's the link
Wow i can barely remember the Movie but i wanted to thank you for the script.I'm gonna go and pore over this script word for word and then i'll give you a more solid post on my thoughts of this. From what i have read so far though it seems to me much more descriptive than i thought the movie to be(what parts i do remember).
Well i've read about three quarters of the script so far and i am enjoying it immensely.I havn't read the book or seen the movie in about 4-5 years so i can't even compare really, but i thought the script was quite descriptive easy to read.Thanx again Marius for the opportunity to read it.
Screen plays always differ to the books. As a writer myself i find that. You cant stick to the book, it has to change.
Thanks for the link, will read it ALL! LOVE THAT MOVIE
That was very deep and interesting. Thanx for the link.
The book it's 100 times better than the movie or/and the script.
This come from someone who's actually read the book at least 20 times.
I will read the script and get back to you,, but the book is by far better than the film.
Thank you for the link to the script. Must agree with most, the book is my fav. Takes me places the movie never could. The script is very cool though.
~Lady~
i liked that film
marius was played ell as was lestat
but claudia.......not a big fan of her
i liked the film, just not the way they made lestat out to be. but all in all i love the book and movie.
i mayself have read the script awhile ago i lov how the details make the mental picture so vivid.. its a deep script one easy to get lost in and i reread it from time to time for something t do its like and addiction
That was great, I love it when I can imagine things my way, rather than see it =)
i loved the movie so when i started reading the script it brought back scene for scene in my head as i was reading it... cant wait till i finish :) thanks marius.... oh yea , i couldnt stand claudia either lol
Thank you Marius, I love the movie. and i will read it. :)
iv read this book at least one to two times a year an i have to say the book is better than the movie, but, it is by far one of the best movie interpretations of a book i have ever seen, i really dont think it could have been made any better into a movie, all the actors were perfect for there roles, now when i read the book i see the actores as there charectors from the movie
Why can't they use the script..in the damn movie. In fact, why can't the movie just follow the book? Yeah they have to leave stuff out cuz itd be too long then, but at least dont add new stuff.
I think Interview with the Vampires movie was definiely closer than Queen of the Damned's.
~morgana~
Wow thanx for the script link.Having read it and the book i find the book alot better but this script is a nice read in itself.
Interesting to say the least. I own almost all of Anne Rices Vampire Novels, and... Hmmm.. I have to think now...
Interesting and purely the word 'wow' isn't enough. . .
thank you for this oppurtinuty maro=ius i am sure i will enjoy the script immensly i'llread it and let you know!
holy hell. . . .not even half way through it and I feel like I want to act the part of Claudia. *grins*
I loved it i thought it was wonderful I loved it just as much as the book thank you again marious for the wonderful opprotunity to read that!
yeah i know what you mean they are totally different i also downloaded the script for the queen of the damned
Definitely a good read in it's own right thanx again for the link.I will be reading this for months now over and over again.
thanks marius...I'll be sure to check it out. I loved that book...AND the movie.
I didn't get all the way through the script but in my opinion. The book was best, than the script(you pick up on more than the movie) However the movie makes you want to go back to the script to follow along, the movie just adds the visual..
To be able to potray someone like Claudia would have been a mind bender in itself. Think of it, being able to get everything you wanted because you were in a child's body. But to not be able to get the adult things in which you yearn for would be the hardest.
this is one of my fav movies and books. it's fascinating
To read "the story" is always better then to see it on a movie. Thanks for the link!
I see this post is still going....I love Louey but Lastat has a brillant mind....and he is very, very gorgeous.
thank you for the link
i think in most cases the books are better than the actual movie but in most cases i cant be arsed to read lol
the book is a classic..but I will read the script..thank you
WELL THAT MOVIE IS THE SHIT AND I UNDERSTAND THAT MOVIE VERY MUCH AND I LOVE IT CAUSE I THINK THAT IS HOW VAMPIRE'S STARTED OUT AND THAT IS JUST SHOWING WHAT HAS YET TO COME
So now I've seen the movie more times than I care to count, read the book repeatedley and now I have the script. Marius, I'm in your debt.
i haven't read the script yet, but was very glad that Anne Rice did the screenplay to the film... as things can often go crazy when the original author isnt involved. But still, I cant help but feel that too many bits where missed out of the film.
the movie was good, the script was good, but the book was great!
thank for the scrip marius i try to read it but it s hard :^)
I must admit i found the script an interesting read and it was about just the same as the book but i prefer the book.
ompared to the movie loosely based on character names appearing in a novel named queen of the damned, interview was pretty good. except for banderas. who the hell cast him as armand anyway?
Honestly, I have to say I love the book as well as the movie equally, but this definitely helped my perspective. Thanks a lot for posting the link, Marius. :)
Of course, Interview with the Vampire is one of my favourite. I think, it si THE TRUE GOTHIC MOVIE df a high qality. My favourite episode when Lestad is dancing with the dead woman. Very impressive! This episode, in my opinion, dictate all style of the movie.
*I really do not know WHY so many people loves the "Queen of damned"? It is travesty of the travesty of the movie! I can not to compare this shity movie with the real true+++Interview with the Vampire+++
Actually, I thought Lestat dancing wth cladias mother was quite toned down compared to what it was in the book.
I suppose it took away a lot of my scenes in my head, with something much more sleek and calm then what I expected.
Ugh don't even get me started on whether or not the movie is better than the book.....
I despised the movie, Queen of the Damned. They left EVERYTHING important OUT
People who didn't READ the damn book would have no clue who the "ancients" are and the history behind Maharet and all that jazz. That movie was a disgrace and WAY too short
Dearest Marius....I thank you for sharing the information on the script...I read the whole thing and must say it was well done....I did enjoy the movie, even though there were some flaws..at least to me...But even so, I think they captured the spirit of the book well...
it doesnt matter what movie you see,it will never be as good as the book.
as far as the scipt goes marius, i loved reading it becouse i could see things in ways i could not by watching the movie.
thank you for posting the site marius
thanks for the link Marius.. the script is really cool.. =P and i watched the film straight after.. its really good... thanks..
I have always thought Interview with a Vampire was about as close as it got when it comes to book to movies. Most of those movies are so screwed from the book you forget what book it came from.
Tho I admit, I havent read it lately and have not watched the movie. (I've been stuck on the laurell hamilton books.. they are sorta addicting.)
Thanks for the script. I think Ill reread the book before I watch or read the script.
like vampyric666 stated before...You can never stick to the book...
Books are always far more detailed...
that was awsome and it was kinda weirdly amazing...but alot of things are weird to me
I read the script a long while ago. Its awsome. Gread thread!
This script is so descriptive,I am enjoying it immensely.I'll have to get the books again and compare now lol....
i love the movie.. but i think the book was better. but i do understand more of what its talking about now...
i have read the script and i think it and the book are close but not the same but then again no movie ever really is is it?
The script painted the picture the much better then the movie did... The book though.... It's far better.
great read, thanx for the link. i'll be reading it most of the night.
Thanks for the link.
I hope it will give better insight into the movie.
ive never seen the movie but i think im going to rent it thanks for the link
Marius,I took a look at that site-http://corky.net/scripts/ - in hopes of finding other scripts on Vampires but alas no others were in there, was wondering if anyone has any other scripts apart from this brilliant one posted???Still reading this one(3rd time),loving it btw.
I love the movie. My cousin-in-law was in that movie. Can't remember what part he played. I'll read the script and tell you waht i think a little later.
i've watched the movie several times ...i can't get bored...so i will read the script for sure:)
Ive read and watched the movie several times. But thanks for the link
i've read the book and seen the movie....i like them both
Thanks for the link to the script... i will read the rest of it later... but from what i've allready read... i like it better than the movie.. =)
Now if only Marius would come back to receive all this praise...
One of my favorite movies. Thank you. I know someone else who is going to love the link.
i've read most of the script. It is almost better than the movie. I think they should have a 2nd movie off it, not from Anne Rice possibly!!! Although I love Anne Rice, be nice if she would write just one more book for the fans.
you can tell anne helped write the script, very similar to the book indeed.
I have always said that the book was better then the movie..but then that is the case with most books that are turned in to movies..
i think i enjoyed the book more, but i enjoyed the movie just for what it was, a movie
I really enjoyed the book, but when I read the script I did see the difference between it and the movie.
The script was very good. Faster to read than the book, but let me use my imagination as well. Very cool.
have always enjoyed reading the books and scripts much more than the movies.....a lot is lost in teh transformation to the "big screen"
i agree with Vincent...that the book is much better but the movie is one of the best book-to-movie interpretations ive seen....probably because anne rice wrote the screen play....i thought queen of the damned was terrible and anne rice didnt do the screen play for that one so that might have something to do with it
well the movie i loved i have yet to read the book but im pretty sure i will love it also . and thanx for the link i will definitly read :D
ok i have skimmed through the script but i didnt find anything different from the movie except im reading it,,,and the images i got were exactly from the movie nothing to me was any different..maybe i should have read the book before seeing the movie and i many would understand more .. but i would watch the movie again while i read that script it would show more of how it "should " have been with the movie as the visuals ... great post tho ..besides the only way one will know how it was supose to be whould be to talk to anne herself being she created it all..
and yes queen of the dammed what shit worst movie i have ever seen ,,,jackass was by far better lol
thanx i just finished reading the book and can't wait to check out the script
i am going to read now
i loved the movie so i know i will love this
thanks
thank you very much for the script...i am looking foward to reading it....i LOVE the movie but was very disappointed when i found that half the book was left out of the movie....for example...the other vampire that lastat made...everyone remembers...the young boy that lived across the street...;)...but otherwise i LOVED them both....i hope i like the script just as well.....
