The eyes have long since been revered as the windows to the soul and the gateway to its power. Do you find yourself looking into the eyes of another be it through a picture or their eyes and feeling something more? What do you look for in such eyes, do you feel a certain power behind them?

I would agree that the eyes are the window to the soul. I find myself looking to one's eyes in order to "read" them. The eyes show more emotion and "inner self" than even the most expressive face.
I can sense someone's pain, elation, fear , and even deception just by peering in their "window"

One pattern that I am aware of is that when a person is in deep thought or in conversation has to pause to think about something they look up and to the right.

If someone is lying they look up and to the left.
They could also look down or away.

Sometimes you can look into someones eyes lets say your friend your, lover ect ect..And you can tell something is wrong or right , with their lives.. If your overly happy it shows in your eyes, their is a twinkle in them, if your angry hate will show, as well as sorrow..

I hate being confronted and looked I the eyes at times, having weak eyes myself.

The window to the soul and the look of sincerity can be fooled, but the eyes will glaze if there is something wrong.

As of late I've felt a 'barely love' feeling from a lover i'm with, and I sense the end-- which I'd be glad for, with as much as what's been done unto me.

It's one thing to love,something else to need to survive, and the 'longing parasite' look is rather out of fashion.

I rarely care enough to look into the eyes. So much can be read from body language, small changes in facial muscles . . . and for those who've learned to control such things, little more can be read in the eyes. It's so easy to get a dead-panned look into your eyes. I trust the eyes about as much as I trust the things people say.

On the occasion I think everyone has done that. For some people though I believe it happens all the time. For me it does anyway.. It sometimes makes for awkward relationships when you can read someone's eyes to the point they can hide nothing from you.

The eyes is the first place I look, and I always look into peoples eyes when we are conversing. I believe you can tell so much by a persons eyes.
I have seen eyes that held nothing behind them, and I have seen eyes that are just dazzling.
I trust the eyes before I would trust the words.

Most definately. There are some that you can look into their eyes and know so much more than either of you thought. I very very much think that the eyes truly are the windows to the soul.

For some this a way to see and measure power. You know by looking into the eyes of the right person that they are simply too strong for you, or that there is something more.

In my Inner eye's i can sensepain fear and aura's i can see around people even if they try and hide there feelings, i guess its a gift i have. eh?

It 'tis true, the eyes are the portal to a soul. One of which some can get through and others can not.

To be able to look into a person's eyes and see their world is a true gift. not all have this gift.

i dont like people to look into my eyes actually... i simply many times dont want to make the connection.. the only people i feel ok to look at are my mtoehr and my lover... even with my brother and sister i dont like the connection... once i had a freind that wanted to make that connection with me... and later i found out that he literally wanted to take over control of my life.. he simply wanted to dominate me... so from that day forth... i am keeping aware... as he was a psyhic vampire

I have found that face is just mind shield. As the melanin gets worn away throughout your body and you become sensitive to light, the face effect of mind shield attacks the eyes last, maybe then after the eyes it enters the brain, this vampiric transformation, and the brain is where the soul is.

I find that looking into someone's eyes tells you everything about them. On the outside they may be cold hearted looking and not giving a damn about much but when you look into their eyes it tells so much more about them. It's like their life's story is hidden you just have to look deeper than the surface.

Its fascinating how much you can find out about a person if you look them in the eyes. At the first glance, you may see nothing, but if you look at them for a little while, they will betray themselves. People have difficulties with lying to me, because I almost always notice the way their eyes seems to be either too focused, or looks slightly up and to the left.

But I believe there are other things you may learn from a persons eyes. When I look into my loved ones eyes, I can see his love for me there. It...glows! On the other hand, I can also see it when people are pretending to like me, but really doesnt. Their eyes seem so cold and distant, as if they would rather be doing something else.

So yes, the eyes are truly the mirrors or windows of the soul.

Yes I look deeply into others eyes the only eyes that bother me are eyes that seem flat..I don't really know how to explain this but its like nothing there or that a shutter has been closed to hide what is behind those people I tend not to trust and they are also the people that can never gain my trust

Yes, i do agree with that, most of the time when you look into someones eyes, especially someone that you know you can pretty much tell what kind mood their in. It's very easy to read people sometimes just by glancing into their eyes.

When you look in to the eyes of a loved one... it's so calming. i love how you can tell what a person is thinking by looking at them...

There have been times that I've looked into someone's eyes and felt that they had an unknown strength behind them.

Also I've noticed that sometimes in someone's voice you can feel the hint of power behind them. Especially if you're talking to them on the phone while viewing them from a distance.

I suppose my ability to read someone as it were is what makes me uneasy when someone goes to great pains to hide their eyes at all times...then I have to rely on body language to read them, which is much harder for me to do.

yes, I believe that eyes are the gateway to the soul. when I meet someone, the first thing I notice about them is their eyes and can generally tell if the person is going to be a friend or enemy.

Yes I beleive the eyes are the gateway to the soul even when ur in love, but I also think theres something else that know one really knows about something deeper and more deeeper than the eyes themself, but since Ill probably confuse people I wont say anything else!!!

I definetely think that the eyes are the windows to the soul. If I ever really want to know what a person is like I look into their eyes, it's hard to explain what I see, but I feel like I'm leering into their soul. Their feelings are shown through their eyes.

i find myself looking at peoples eyes alot, i am attracted to them. The energy and life force behind them. I find my strongest psy-connection is when im facing someone and staring into their eyes. Yes the eyes are the windows to the human soul as it is healthy and cleanses the soul to cry.

eyes say a lot about a person. Especially I noticed if people are telling the truth to me or not in their eyes. People look differently when they are lieing and when they are telling the truth.

Example Me: I will be smiling and having a good time but if you look me straight in the eyes you will probably see if I'm sad or if I'm really happy.
I can also "speak" with a look, most people can.

I do think eyes are a person's mirror you can tell lots of things about a person from the looks to recieve.

I believe the eyes are just about the most important part of the body by which to tell what some one is feeling. I never like to have a serious, or potentcially serious conversation unless it's in person. It's so easy to lie by voice or written word. But if you can look at someone's face, particularlly their eyes, you can usually find the answers you are seeking.

Looking in to someones eyes i find that i sometimes feel their emotion that they are feeling at the time.

When i look into a persons' eyes it is indeed a window to their soul. I can see and sence so much of their personality. Even the people that block it usually cant' block it all for i am an empath and eyes give everything away.

I am a person who is enthralled by that of the eyes. A person can hide themselves, but not in the eyes. You can always see the real person through their eyes.

I'm drawn to green eyes because they are rare. Mine are almost Jade in color.

For me, eyes hold the power, either way you look at some way they always notice something more in your eyes. Eyes can be mesmerizing or perhaps dull, it all depends on what kind of power you hold.

I think that there are people who simply cannot hide behind their eyes and, more generally, their body language. But I also think there are those that have mastered their 'masks' to the point that they can convince themselves of their deceptions and be very hard to read.

I'm fascinated by eyes because they do seem to be the barometer of surface emotions and hungers and needs.

Eye contact is deemed only for the worthy, other than that, I generally look through people.

i have learned to sense and feel more than i can see, so looking into someones eyes are not necessary but it helps when trying to learn the meaning to the persons words.

I like eyes...they make me see into people...lovely.

As someone who has to venture out on many "solo missions" I find eyes to be the easiest way to read people. There is energy (if you concentrate you can always feel it) and it can even manipulate the person you're reading. I am heavy on eye-contact for this reason. Consequently, be careful what you let your eyes reveal (especially around strangers)-- you never know the intentions of the person looking into them.

I dont really trust only eyes becasue they can deceive people.

I have heard that eyes are windows into the soul and such...it makes since. I have always used eyes to test mental strength. I tell a person to look directly into my eyes...they may blink...but may not look away from my eyes. I have come out being stronger 9 times out of 10.

Upon meeting people the first thing I tend to notice is their eyes. You can tell so much from them, - their warmth or lack of, intelligence or emptiness.. Though I also believe some are able to mask their true selves, but if you look long enough their mask falters eventually. I am always drawn to people with beautiful eyes, as I see this as a reflection of who they really are inside.

I would agree that some eyes are more compelling than others. They have an almost hypnotic effect. I often encounter this phenomena when I eat at Hooters

I fully agree with the "eyes are windows to a person's soul" thing. Not only do I see an individual's soul through their eyes, I somehow see myself in them as well. I see how they look at me, and the way I interpret their eye movements and facial expression give me a pretty good idea of what they see in me as my own individual.

I do have the ability also to see into a person's soul even if it's just through a picture, and if I don't know the person at all(take celebrities, for example). For me personally, it is easy for me to tell if someone is hurt, happy, annoyed, upset, overjoyed, etc. based on what their eyes tell me in a particular picture.

Matsunome - the only way that eyes seem to make me uncomfortable is when there doesn't seem to be anything there. I've met some people who aren't extraordinarily evil or mean but their eyes don't seem to have any feeling whatsoever. Sort of a drug induced haze without the drugs. I think those are the people we often hear about who were so quiet and friendly but had 12 people chopped up and kept in the freezer.

As far as feeling fear when looking into some one's eyes, I can't say that I have felt fear. But, I have one family member that when you look at in her the eyes, you see nothing but a very cold unfeeling soul. My sis and I both feel this way.

So the question is can u see into the soul of a person through thier eyes. Well let see I think that alot can be told from a persons eyes.. mean if when you look into a persons eyes and they can not make eye contact with you that more than likely means they are hiding something or that they have a shifty personaliy. I have looked into many a people eyes and seen dark savage souls that are begging to be let out onto this unsupecting society. Everyone know that we have some devilish little being inside all of us that if let go would do what ever it wanted and that we would more than likely enjoy it just as much.

Vampiric Lust - If we all did all the devlish things we wanted, no doubt that we'd initially feel more free and happy...however if someone's 'devlish thoughts' are of a more violent or anti-social nature, then we start realizing that some devlish thoughts must be kept in check lest someone else commit them on us

The eyes tell all secrets..but I dont get to look into peoples eyes much because people wont look me in the eyes..most are scared to look me in the eyes..I guess they see darkness.

I do find myself looking into peoples eyes more to judge their character! Usually if someone is lying this is where you will see the truth! The eyes hold the truth & this they can not hide!

in some instances i feel more of a persons soul by looking deeply into thier eyes, however thay have to be looking for something in life to create the depth of thier gaze which opens up thier soul.

I think the eyes can tell you alot about a person. I dont believe you have to be an empath or have any abilities to read someones facial expressions. To see happiness, pain, joy, frustration is easy enough by looking into thier eyes.

I personally tend to stray from looking into peoples eyes. Some say its because I lack the confidence, but I can do it without problem, I just dont like to. I know what eyes can reveal and like to keep things to myself.

The eyes can tell you everything about a person. I often see smiles on faces but pain in their eyes. They show you wheather the person is trustworthy or pure evil. Looking into eyes that send fear through your bones I have done too often. You automatically know you can't trust them, and that their past has curoded them greatly. It's eyes like those that cause pain and suffering.

I think the eyes of someone can be more reveiling than a polygraph, When I look into my wifes eyes, I can tell if she is happy,worried,nervous,afraid,happy etc. I agree the eyes are a window, but not just to the soul i feel!

as a bartender, I often find myself looking into people's eyes before anything else. I find I can tell what is happening the quickest, although that is more so how they are moving their eyes, than actually looking them IN the eye. The biggest reason I use the photo I have on my profile is because more people have said that I have the most arresting eyes, and that they are my best feature. But as a whole, I find that as an empath, I very rarely look someone in the eye directly, or for extended periods of time. So far, I have only been able to do that with one man.

It is a clishe saying, but eyes are the window to the soul. I know I can tell exactly how a person is feeling, if they are lieing or not, even if they are trying to hide a physical reaction or emotion through their eyes.

I can discern so much for a persons eyes. Sincerity, lust, questioning, sadness, joy...the gammet of emotions. But, being psy..I pick up on so much more. I would almost go so far as to say that is how I feed. When I am out if I want to draw someone to me I always make and keep eye contact. And, depending on what is felt if I wish the connection to continue I hold their gaze.
It is quite funny sometimes...people realize they seem to be staring an I can feel them sever the connection. There is always power in the eyes.

I've never been a good judge of people but I have been able to tell more about a person through their eyes than anything else.

The eyes always speak louder and more clearly then the voice ever could. They are mirrors of reflection, pools that sit in stilled softness or pierce with sharp abruption. A person can be defined by thier eyes, thier actions and intentions easily seen if you know how to read them right. A person can always speak one thing, but if you watch thier eyes, you will see what is truth...

I myself seldom make direct eye contact.. I tend to put people off. (For some reason.. i give off alot of negative energy.. and it can really intimidate some people).

When I do make direct eye contact with someone, it is generaly for one reason only - to see if they are being honest with me, or themself.

I know eyes are windows. I've learned that where a person is looking is key. Also there are times when you can tell sooo sooo much about a person just by looking into their eyes. Eye contact is a wonderful thing.
