Among the things we see, hear, smell, touch or do in our everyday lives, What method or methods gives you the most accurate Intuitive
messages? Can you give an example?
I would have to say my imagination. I am always thinking, 'what if....?'
It was a couple of years ago when I was walking out of a gas station and saw a couple of guys talking, one in a car in the driver's seat, the other standing outside the car. At once the one outside the car starts pounding on the guy inside the car, and I thought, what if the guy puts his car in reverse to get away, so I started to move faster, but slipped. The guy in the car does put his car in reverse, probably never saw me as he is driving in reverse and I am on the ground and look up and see his rear bumper coming at me. In a moment like that, you don't have time to get up and run, so I just rolled and rolled away from the car and with every revolution I saw that car coming at me. All I could think of is this is going to hurt, I am going to the hospital. At some point he put his car in drive and took off. I was skinned up and shaken, worst of all I spilled my cherry coke, but was ok.
VampireFreakshow,
Not being vague......let me give you and example. Several years ago I met someone online. For awhile we were just friends and considered having a long distance relationship.
The week I took to decide if this was what I wanted or not, everywhere I went, every time I turned on the television I would see the name of the town he lived in. I saw it as my intuition speaking to me and decided to start the relationship. For me sight is the strongest messenger.
A friend of mine, an old room mate actually, once told me ha had dreamt of me coming to him from the future, and told him to tell me to quit my job, and get a new one. I respected this friend a great deal and took his, well I guess my, advice...the new job I got ended up not working out so well, but did lead to me moving to where I live now. I'm still not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, and to this day whenever I ask him about it he says he never remembered that, even just days after he told me, he had no recolections of this event. I find many of my dreams are somewhat intuitive, although I have not remembered many dreams lately.
lol Then should have said so before, love. That is more understandable...
i occasionally have daydreams/visions, and they tend to happen, not all of them good, but it has been odd when it does occur. I am unsure what triggers it at all
I have had that, turn on TV or radio, pick up newspaper or magazine and seems like the name or place is always there - take that sign and go with it I say.
Everything within this reality can be decoded as clues, messages, and forecast of what is to come...It becomes quite easy and obvious, the deeper One goes...
The little bird tells me. :)
I always go for my Intuition. I tell people it is like trying to touch a spiderweb without actually touching it. If you do touch it, you destroy it, just like the message from spirit. I listen...but only just a little.
My subconcious... it always knows the best answer, altough soemtimes my mind does something different, but i just feel it in me
I listen to my "gut" feelings but then also wait for outside reinforcing "signs". Mine tend to come through hearing and sight. Someone will say what I have been thinking or something on the radio will relate. Same for vision....and then it all comes together.
my dreams... they give me a clue about what will happen.. the funny thing is that i dont remember anything when i wake up, but when i see, smell or do the same thing as in the dream i suddenly get a flash about what will happen
My dreams are my main source of information... but also, my intuition, my "first impression"...that is always accurate. Also, regarding people I meet, is their eyes that help me get oriented along their future actions... because through their eyes I can read their soul...
I guess you'd call it intution but I always thought of it as a sixth sense. When I met someone for the first time and everyone else seemed to like him but I couldn't stand to be near him or even shake his hand. Later he turned out to be a terrible liar and user. I was one of the few he didn't hurt.
well i'd have to agree that u have like a sixth sence to it all like with in my lfie i can almost alwasy tell wat a outcome to a event will b and wat will happen after it
I use them all. If I hear it one day, see it the next, then it is here for me to grasp, I know then what is being said...
Unfortunately it isnt that simple... Intuition is more then enturpreting a single sense, it is a combination of all you senses working together and the addition of an extra sense that we have that noone can figure it out...
i agree i use a combination and it just comes to me in my mind so for me its not just one sense
Yes, and you also get a stronger message. Something you are more sure of and recognize easier and quicker...
I don't really use my intuition, since I don't get it that much. But what I do use is my skills to "detect" what's going to happen. Plus I don't really try and think about one thing, and when I walk, my legs carry me just were I needed to really be for the something to happen. I call my "door" but you can call your sixth sense or intuition or whatever.
Oh, when I do get a glimpse of something, I'm usually wasted of most of my energy. That's why it tires me out to dream, since when I don't, I gather my energy....I guess that's it...
I sometimes get preminitions about things and gut feelings. I always try and follow them and normally it works.
I think it's just your sub conscious making a possible chain of events and coming out with the best and worst possible situation.
I think when things become repeative its my sign that a chain is linking together for a reason.
BLESSED BE
Okay this is going to sound strange, but my stomach. I can give three examples.
1. When I was in the fourth grade I was in the middle of choir practice with my friends when my stomach knotted up for seemingly no reason. All of a sudden I became very depressed and began to cry. My friends rushed over to ask me what was wrong, to which I said, "I don't know who, but someone I know died today..."
My friends thought I was nuts. The feeling left almost as quickly as it came and I had forgotten all about it by the time I had gotten home. The next morning my grandmother was reading the paper and lo and behold, the little boy who sat next to me in math class was murdered by his mother the day before. She took him and his little brother to an eight story parking garage and made them both jump. She jumped too.
2. The second time I was folding my clothes. My great grandmother was in the hospital (she had fallen and broken her hip) and my grandmother kept calling my mother to tell her what was going on. The last phone call my mother recieved said that she was doing very well and would probably be released to my great aunt in a few days. My mother came into my room to see that I was doing what she told me to do, and I saw her and got a knot in my stomach. I began to cry and yelled to my mother, "She's dead, Gramma Day's dead, she's dead, she's dead!" My mother got very heated and moved to strike me, when the phone rang. It was my grandmother telling my mother that she had died in her sleep.
3. I was in high school, a freshman, and I was eating lunch. I got that very same knot in my stomach. I started to cry and I grabbed my pencil to write down what I was feeling. I knew somebody had died, but I didn't know who.
I found out three days later-it was my cousin in the navy seals, he died during an excercise trying to save his friend.
Needless to say, but when I get a knot in my stomach now I just call my mother and ask her who died. Its a horrible gift, but I guess its my warning. Something in my stomach can tell when someone close to me passes on, otherwise I have nearly an iron stomach. My mother told me that she used to get dreams. I don't remember mine, but I sometimes will wake up with a strange feeling from a dream. My day is often strange on the same day in one way or another, (ie an old friend will suddenly show up, I will get tasked with something I wouldn't normally do at work, I learn something that changes a certain part of my outlook on things things like that)
I don't get intuitive Messages often. Most of the time I will have a feeling when something happens that I have been there before or some how knew what was happening before it happens. it is more a deja vu feeling then a feeling that I definitely know what is happening. I have only had one instance where I knew what was going to be told to me before it was. It was the night my grandmother died. I had been out with friends and got home late. Just after we walked in the door to my apartment the phone rang. I knew before I even answered it that it was my mother calling to tell me that my grandmother had died. To this day I don't know how I knew I just knew. She was not the first person that I had been close to to die but the only one I knew was gone before I was told.
my sense of smell seems to be my strongest sense, and i can seem to smell things far before i see them, hearing also
I sometimes just 'know' things that I shouldn't.
I came back to a childrens' home that I lived. The matron said that she had some news. Before she could say anything more, I told her that the pet rabbit was dead. I just knew.
The matron was scared at first but in the end thought I had somehow killed the rabbit and got punished.
There was another time when a pair of scissors went missing. We were all sent to search different rooms. Before we moved off I looked behind a radiator in the hall and there they were.
Because I had gone right there and found them, the matron thought that I had put them there - again I got punished.
The last time I remember was I was crossing a road behind a parked car with my friends. The road was straight and empty at the time. For no reason I stepped back and lead my friends to the front of the car. Another car smashed into the back of the car that we had just been stood behind.
Is that intuition?
I use all sences, but when there is no need for the others, it is often sight. I am very observant and can tell specifically how a person is feeling at the moment and what they may do exactly or react to a certain happening. Not to mention see how that person had lived their life, what they are thinking right now, or the qualities they may have in their personality...
This sence not only helps me interact with or predict people but the place and time that is around me; what will happen and what I should do...
However, I do not base ALL intuition on this one sence. I am only for certain on everything when all are responding to things so simular, like a subject in a sentence and the words that revolve around it.
My observation is only limited...
However, through limited observation, we discover the restraints of our true potential.
i get a very scared felling when something bad is about to happen im talking im down right shaking and crying type scared feeling now on the other hand i also have dreams most of them are good however i have had quite a few that werent so good.i woud have to say my strongest is the feelings i get and im usually right on with whom these feelings are about
Agreed, idbeholda...
It seems many happenings can be predicted through dreams. I have not quite had my share of that. My dreams are those about events that have already come to past. Including the ones that have come even before my birth...
First off, DeventisLamia, I'm very sorry about the losses. Those storys touched me deeply...
I would have to say, that I get "messages" through my dreams mostly. I have some very messed up dreams, mostly all of them aren't very good. but when I dream of people in them, I usually see them about a day later, or I will dream of something happening and they always seem to happen in real life, in a very different way though. It is still a sign to me that I should pay close attention to my dreams.
I would get precognitive dreams quite often and at the moment I feel as though I am living in a constant state of deja vu.
When I'm awake I don't know if there if one sense that makes me aware of something. I tend just to get feelings about what I should do. It took me a long time to accept that I should listen to them though.
Hmm... So foretelling dreams are pretty common indeed, but how do you know which are just dreams and those that foretell future happenings?...
I don't think there is a particular trigger for me. It just happens. Sometimes it is by sight, sometimes touch, somtimes it's just a random thing. For example, I don't usually go and rate the new members on here, I don't know, I feel bad giving low rates or something, but a couple weeks ago, I decided to check some out. I happened upon a profile with a picture...looked at it...saw a portfolio...looked there...saw a pic of a heartagram tattoo...and decided to message the person to say how cool it was. Go figure, we're going out now. lol So i suppose it just depends on how you interperate everything. To me, anything and everything could be a possible sign.
well sometimes it happens tht whn i start doin something i get a msg to myself tht its gonna work or not i donno why tho.
Rowantears you and I have had a similar experience. I had a reoccuring dreams for months w/ alarming frequency and then found the subject of my dream here. I was lead here because of a dream to find someone who would shape me and make me a more well-rounded and loving person. I would have to say dreams are when I am most intuitive although smell being the strongest sense tied to memory can also play a part in being intuitive in my opinion.
~Fie
i have dreams that will come true. unfortunately they are dreams of death, i usually see the person dying within two months of the dream. i explained this once to my mom that my uncle would not be around after christmas, he died 12/19 i told her this in october. at his funeral, i saw my other uncle and made the comment to her that he would be gone before april. he died on my birthday in march. i hate being able to see people's deaths like that.
er .. WOW! me too. i get prophetic dreams. i've always had the ability to remember my dreams - which is odd, coz my memory in general is pretty bad, but another unusual thing (so i am told) is that my dreams are always in colour.
when i was a teenager,a had many dreams (at least one a week) which would come true within a day or two. i studied all forms of divination to understand this, and eventually favoured the Tarot, which i mastered. i rarely get prophetic dreams now - probably because i have channelled it through the Tarot. i am not certain of this, but the more proficient i became with Tarot cards, the less i had the dreams. i still get the odd attack of deja vu though.
Sometimes I'll be listening to the radio or TV and I'll know exactly what will play or come on next.
sometimes i think "after i die, i want to go back and be reincarnated as myself" and sometimes i think "maybe i already have - maybe that's why i remember what's going to happen"
Intuititive messages come in different ways to different people and sometimes in different ways to the same person.
I recieve them in dreams and clairaudience (that still small vioce within).
Examples:
clairaudience - when about to walk out the door and "I think" you better get such and such, as you will need it. If I'm smart I'll listen, but being fallible and all sometimes I don't. When I don't I always need said object. Those are the ones I remember. Either way it turns out that the info was correct.
At other times I may get an impression about somebody (in my own microcosim the info means nothing) but if I say something about it (if i feel it is appropriate) then it always turns out correct.
my gift, if that can be called a gift, is that i am able to foresee a problem before it happens and make adjustments to correct it in a split second. sense a accident and remove myself from the path it is traveling. it has happened at work as well as during my daily driving.
Well shoot I have had experiences with sent as well as touch and sight. For example being in a room and a sent will come over me that reminds me of them or a touch from something that isnt there or should i say is there but I cant see. I have had times were i see things and then they go away.
I feel my intuitive is mostly from my heart and my mind as a combination ...it has yet to let me down so I rely on it always that feeling you get about someone or a situation I follow that some call it a gut instinct, yet I know it is more and has yet to let me down on any situation..
When I am gathering information or doing a reading I usually use a combination of things, however the first is almost always my emotional pshcy, I will get a good or bad feeling etc. I make it a point not to ask questions other than yes or no and usually I am more direct and the one declaring yes or no.
A recient event happend a few months ago when I was introduced to two new people. I shook their hands and from one I got a feeling of past physical pain mixed with current pain"Josh", and the other I recevied a feeling of strong internal discomfot and a sense of hopelessnes."Rick"
It turnes out that "Josh" was nearly killed by a man who tried to literally cut him into bits and is currently going through back problems and "Rick" suffers from brain cancer.
"Rick's" sense of hopelessness comes from him not knowing if he will be able to teach others the crafts taught in his family.
The story goes on a long way from here but I think you get the idea.
I often have dreams, they work like warnings to prepare me for future events, i can actuly remember details related to near events in my life. They are very precise!
I have had dreams in the past where there were parts that I could not remember when I woke up, but rememered readily enough when it happened in real life!
Other times when I meet someone or see something I feel a pull at the back of my mind and I find myself asking: "Have we met before?"
I may not have made myself clear as I was in a rush when I posted that. What I was saying was that the sense of deja vu sometimes ends up being intuitive.
There is a multi-part theory on Deja vu
1)that when we are going somewhere we are so expecting it we create the wolrd in our minds then whee we get there it is though we have already been.
2) We have been there before in a past life or genetic memory thus a feeling of deja vu.
3) We sense others memories of the place or event and thier memories becomes our own.
4) We have had in the past a vision or some telling of our going there/ happining, however it was so insignificant that we just forgot it until deja vu happens
Just some more thoughts.
Yes well I too have had a similar situation with the online relationship deal...certain songs come on, you see things that person likes..etc...lets you know its right when in doubt.
These are all fascinating and I hope I'm not paraphrasing anyone.
I find that the subconscious has powerful access to divination and probability of future events - or intuition. So naturally, to get close and more accurately in tune with your intuition, you get closer to your subconscious - which can include practically everythin everyone's suggested on here - but can also be completetly unique to the practitioner. For example, I may feel that exercising gets me closer to a part of my subconscious that I don't experience enough - or that my dreams are not what I would like them to be - either of these can be affected by rigorous meditation and journaling.
Like I said, it's also completely up to the practitioner, so long as it works.
I don't about consciously doing it. but I know that I follow my intincts. always.
I will get a feeling that something is not right, I will listen to my intincts they haven't been wrong yet.
AS I mention earlier, I do get premonitions. But like PrettyViolence I go more by gut instinct. I don't always follow mine, as she does, but it has been an asset: When I do listen.
For me it would have to be in my dreams. I see things happen that i have no idea why and then days/weeks/or months later these things come to pass. It gets kind of wierd from time to time because i'll have a dream and see a place that i have no recollection of ever being, but then months later i'll be in that same place.
I have had this occurance often. Though I have to say sometimes I will set it aside as Deja Vu.
my dreams/daydreams! one time i had a dream of the next day, every detail, and i woke up, and everything happened that day, that was in my dream! this has happend several times, and sometimes something bad happens, and i can avoid it by trusting my dreams!
It is my opinion that the mer tuned in to the spiritual realm one becomes the stronger the sences become. Intuition, being the sixth sence naturally becomes more focused as one goes inside onself and connects with it and practices to control it. I spend a lot of time in meditation, seated and moving, and I find that it becomes natural to pick up on things. I have friends that I'm very close to, that I have been on spiritual journies with, I can tell if they are in pain or if I think about them they will call. This has happened on many occasions sometimes when I haven't seen the person for years. I have dreams that are very revealing and usually true. You can sence the emotions of others at a glance, the simplist form of intuition. Sometimes I get strange feelings about if something will have a possitive or negative outcome, I try always to follow this because it has saved my ass in the past. Honestly I think that meditation is the key here, learning to tune into the universal energy that binds us together. This isn't easy, our daily lives have conditioned us to ignore these feelings to the point that most aren't aware they even posses that power. It's difficult at times in the hustle of the world to find a time or space to silence the mind. In that silence we can find many wonderful things!
I have a sort of sixth sense and it usually is a bit more than a gut feeling, its sort of like someone screamin out loud in my mind " there is something bad going to happen" it's never been wrong about abything so far...
So it seems that it is not only one of the five sences that can relay intuitive messages, but another sence altogether. I too have had this "sixth sence" every now and then. It is correct a large amount of the time, but I never really do anything to change something that will happen or inform anyone. I would like to feel that I have more proof to go on so others are more confident in my decision...
my sight is the best...
i can look at some one and tell them about themselves most of the time
I have that very same thing most of the time. A keen eye and good observation can very much serve intuition well...
I agree with IndigoBizarre I think everyone has it. It just depends on the individual on how they utilize it.
Katarina:
I agree with you both, but I would say if they utilize it.
Yes, everyone does. Some more than others. Some know how to read it better. Most call it instinct in my opinion...
yeah, i was riding the bus home with my best friend and i got a bad feeling, when we got to her house we came to find out her mom had cancer. i thought it was going to be bad but not like that, what was wierd was i hadnt heard anything about this type of cancer and that day in school we learned about it.
Numbers
Teeth
Observation.
If I see a number several times, I mean, on tv, if I hear it, on the street, anyway... I use to give that number a signification (for what Im living at that moment) . So, when I see it again, I know what is gonna happen next.
My teeth... Hmm.. I have a weird perception with my teeth, I feel as if they were itching... When it happens, something emotionally violent is about to happen...
Observation. There was a time I had a match box in my hands... I was cooking... I turned on the fire and left the box over the kitchen. The box fell down. And it was like in a very slow camera... I saw every little match going everywhere. I think it took 2 minutes, just for the box to touch the floor. Obviously, it was my impression. But I learned to see things going through time. I saved my life once, thanks to this. It was a car accident. And I saw everything happening so slowly... I wasnt driving, but I did a maneuver that avoid what could have been a fatal accident...
This is a real gift I guess...
I always do what i think its right and wrong...
i dont wait or pay attention to signs...
i have the gift of foresight. i dont know how to explain it but i do see things clearly before it happens. though sometimes i do see them as de-ja-vou, it happens.
one time i was driving. and out of no where i had a vision in my head. that there was going to be an accident, right where i was at. i didnt rush and i didnt slow down. and it was a good thing i didnt ruch because it wasnt me in the accident. it turned out to be the car next to me, because they rushed. well thankfully no one was seriously hurt, but im glad i saw it before it happen.
there are other times too. but to me it seems to be more of a coinenscedent.
sometimes i get odd feelings and something happens similar to the feeling i had earlier or sometimes i dream of something of concentrate hard on something and it happens or occurs but just alittle differently
I listen to what my gut tells me. Sometimes at work I go to do something then am told to do something else. It winds up that my 1st instinct was right. Always happens. Sometimes I hate to be right like that. It happens all the time especially at work.
my sense i would have to say is sight. wether it be through a dream or through the clouds, etc.
one time on the way to st. george i was looking at the clouds and they seemed to tell a story. i could see something bad happening. i dint quite know what but i could see it. when i got there i was correct. a couple of my friends were in a tough bind. by girlfreind( love of my life) was one of them.
it's hard to explain what i saw. but sight is my intuitive sense the majority of the time. but sometimes the others will kick in.
I have had a few instances of such things. Some times it would be by sight and smell, or smell or maybe just sight.
I remember one particular instance where I was walking down a dirt road in the country area of where I lived with the munchies and I got to thinking about chocolate chip cookies, warm from the oven, and as I walked, I litterally started to smell chocolate chip cookies.
hello my friends. i had recently posted a thread about precog dreams and as this is the closest thing i could find to that subject i shall ask my question here. as of late i have been having many more precognitive dreams than usual which is saying something. what i want to know is if any one else that is precog has been experiencing anything similar to this.
my dreams mainly. i ask my creator every night to make sure that i am reminded of what ive dreamt previously. for example, at the age of 8 i dreamt of myself having surgery years down the line around the ago of 16. i saw everything that happened from the time i went under through the breaking of bones to the time i woke up... ive even had dreams where ive seen my great grandfather at certain places & its actually happened a few times...
touch mostly. plain and simple. though sometimes i get visual triggers. i can't really give explanations, because it's hard to explain. it just happens, when i least expect it. *shrugs*
Where do these clues come from? Are they meant to be or simple co-incidence?
I would have to say my Intuition! It has kind of helped me to know who & what to stay away from! Although I still have the fault of seeing good in almost anyone, even the worst people! I hate that!
I would say that I get them mainly in my dreams...and usually it's forewarning of something that's going to happen...and a lot of the time it's not good
There are 2 forms of intuition that I am familiar with, the first being a... sensation.. when I am around a person, or even speaking to them, I get this ...sensation... it can be good, or bad, ya never really know. And the second, in dreams... the warning, or nudge that you are about to encounter something good or bad.
I have a deep empathic sence, when I touch someone or something I can feel what they've felt..The first time I felt something like that was the time when my baby's daddy's brother had his heart broken, I tell you that was a tramatic experience. I was lying on my bed screaming because my heart hurt so bad, it felt like it was ripping literally in half..as if all the blood got drained and didn't want to pump any longer. I didn't even have to touch my ex-man's brother but I only had to look at him..I have it under control as to where if I touch you then I know..If I dont keep that under control then I will go insane and prolly end up in a mental hospital for the rest of my life because I would probably be screaming, crying, in pain cause of all the different emotions running through me..Its hard for me to be in large crowds, I'd rather stick to one on one or small groups
Things just happen in life. You can be open to them or not.
this happens to me alot 2. everytime i turn on the tv my bf's name keith is all over it and i search online his name pops up its like he is everywhere.
I've had daydreams and dreams that have came true before
I think the best is communicating even saying the words...
I use a combination, like when I meet people, seeing & listening to them I can usually read them right off. I also get strong feelings around things and I am usually right on.
I is usually hearing for me. I may hear something on the radio or in a building that could lead me in the right direction. If i choose to do so.
my gut instincts would have to be mine they never lead me astray
