Is There Someone Who Remember Theirs?
How much do you remember?

i have "dream" of a past life but i cant remember much all i know is that it was a very long time ago and it was very far from here

I remember several of my past lives, from being my great grand fathers best friend while we where boot leggin, to 300 years ago in France with my husband Patrick and 4 kids (thank god I dont have to go through that again!) to 400 years ago as a Welch noble. to ancient Egypt as a palliden and priest, and even further back in different ages. You know the only thing Ive never been is royalty, who do I talk to about that?

........ I have never moved a mountain... or given anything important.... anything that if I did not do, would of been missed....at least I don't think so. I am just a plain usually happy person... not important to anyone, except to those who love me. I have dreams of fields I have never seen with my own eyes.. but was I there? I don't know.

I can only remember mine through regression, i was a white witch. I do suffer from deja vu very frequently which i think could be linked to past life.

I have impressions of people mostly. It often seems as I have met a person before.

I have dreams of places that I, myself, know that I have not been.

Deja Vu: That is a very interesting thought. Is Deja Vu an occurance of a impression of a event in a past life, happening again?

Or is it a feeling of a event happening again?

I have heard of many people who believe both of these, for the sake of the discussion, opinions.

I mostly get this with people rather than events, as if i have met them previously and not in this life, a connection of some sort.

my best friend died in a horrible train accident in her past life, and everytime she hears one, she freaks out, and i mean really freaks, as far as myself, ive not been able to pull up much, i may have been some odd part of non-conscious reincarnation

I happen to have dreams that might be of past lives but have no proofs of it.

I have...well, it's not glimpses, more like a fear that might be lingering from a past life. I'm always scared if I'm in the stairs in my house and I hear one of the neighbours comming behind me but only if I'm walking up. Never when I'm walking down. It's just something about those footsteps behind me that freaks me out.

I remember quite a bit of mine. Names, faces, conversations, places. Too much if you ask me. Get a lot of deja vu. Sometimes it is hard to decifer a memory from what is real.

I think it would be almost impossible to say that you knew who you were in a past life EXACTLY...unless you got some type of professional psychic or something. but, I think they come to you in your dreams...I have dreamed of several strange things happening where I was myself, but in a different body, place, and time. I think de ja vu could possibly be linked to a past life, or maybe it just means your intuitive powers are very strong.

being Native american, I have access to study the lives I have had before. though truthfully I hadn't thought about looking too closely until I met a friend that I felt I knew. I have had this happen before but never nearly as strong with this person. I figured that we must have a strong friendship before.

So I am going to look into it when I get back to my Rez in the next couple of months....

I've had "dreams" and memories from about 100 past lives or so. Scary part is, most them were female....and about half of the female ones were royalty, most of asian desdent....though a few were of animals, most the animals one were of red foxes or black ravens. (I kinda like just letting them come through at surprising times. Since anything can trigger a memory.)

So do you think it's possible that we could have been animals in a past life? I don't know if you guys have heard of this, but there is such a thing as a totem, which is like an animal gaurdian or something along those lines.

Being Native American- according to my tribal traditions the spirit of the animal that is your guide actually came from the animal it self. If your spirit totem is an wolf it is the spirit of a wolf that is leading you through what ever trail that you may be going through...

Each animal carries a different strength or type of medicine that you will need on any given journey. if that medicine is needed you call on that animal usually with the help of tribal elders, to help you...

Me, I have always been me. I have looked like myself; I have always been female; I have had simular sounding names, and I haven't met one person that has told me different. I am not quite sure what that means. When I look deep into the past I just see a copy of a copy of a copy of myself.

The nature of past lives, I will not discuss to the layman, as this is a means of letting them find out what's really going on, as opposed to giving them answers at the start.

We did deja vu, if what we got taught was right, its something like this

Sometimes something will go direct into the long term memory while its still going through the short term memory. So ...

When the thing comes out of the short term memory, it finds that its already in the long term memory - and deja vu happens

That's why people say that they 'remember' (say) standing right here, telling you exactly that ....

Everytime I get deja vu, its always about something happening right there and then, so I don't think its anything to do with past lifes

as i stated in my profile,this is my 14 th remembered lifetime,and with each, i remember most of the prevous ones and there are a couple that i dont,which are probably for a reason.

It is very hard for me to determin if I remember my past life as my imagination frequently takes control.

I did have a reading done once. It said I had sufferd great loss in another life. After that, I had an image of me as a little kid running away screaming and crying for everything had gone up in smoke. It seemed I was the only one left alive...my twin sister...I dunno what happend to her. She was like my best freind.

Although I have no idea if that is true. I do feel like my heart has been ripped apart though when I think of that. That could possibly be because I am generally very sensitive.

I remember some of my past lives. Some better than others. I remember my first life thanks to having it woken by a "soul reader" as he called himself.

I been having a dream for years, it's always the same dream. I'm looking out from a body i'm not quite sure what it is, i know that it must have been an animal of some kind, because i feel free of all human desires and pains. I look out surrounded by trees and plants. I all i want to do is run. The dream never last very long and it only consists of me running through tree feeling completely free. I don't know what the dream means, I just been having it since I was seven years old

it is hard for me to remember a whole lot because i have had so many past live and was only awakened about a year ago so it is still coming back to me

I only have Deja Vu, but I don't really remember my past lives. I've been awakening very slowly for the past 4-5 years. I'm 19 so do the math. It is all mostly Deja Vu, or feeling as though I am looking through someone else's eyes

I only know of one possible past life- I used to dream the same thing all the time. All I can remember, is I was somewhere far away from life. There were no houses, no people, just me in the middle of nowhere and this huge old run down castle or prison possibly. It was either burned down, or almost completely run down over time, either way, it saddened me deeply. I feel like that could be affecting me in this life. Is it possible that past lives punish you in this life?

I have lots of deja vus and dreams. One in particular is that I fly (but don't seem to have wings). I get very nostalgic and feel down whn i listen to native american (red indian) chants even though i don't know what the lyrics mean. oh and another thing, i feel that i do not belong to this world (or these yimes). i miss my childhood, i feel it was stolen from me ages ago

When I was little I accepted it as normal to remember things that I hadn't done in this life but there was a stage when I though there was something wrong with me, mainly because 'normal' people kept saying I needed my head examined.

To my knowledge, I have never changed the world. I was never Jesus, Socrates or Elvis. I don't think I've ever been a movie star or invented something that made lives better.

no, i dont remember any of mine, if i ever had any, unless i am remembering them in my dreams, and i remember nothing once i wake up. Sometimes tho i get deja vu really bad tho as if im repeating something ive already done and its almost scary at times.

I know I have had some dreams about a life I beleive to have been mine a long time ago, but when I awaken I can no longer remember said dreams.

Bits and pieces for me....the creaking of leather, voices, smells...flashes of color. From ancient Egypt, to Rome, to a vast forest and leather greave to the 16th century and 18th and 19th are vivid images and feelings. The most vivid one for me is that reoccuring dream on my profile...to me that one is the key to something, just not sure what. There are certain paintings and photographs of places and times that just draw me... an incredible pull to them.

i remember mine. in a past life i was a mistress to king louie the 14th and was constantly mocked and abused.

i remember bits and peices of past experiences such as i remember standing next to a castle even though i know ive never seen one in person in this life time...i remember smalls glimses of things that happen...but something usually trips the momentary flashback...usually it follows the feeling of deju vu...

I have dreamed of a life i had.it was bad with the Knights of the Round table.I wasn't one of them but i was a knight just the same.I lived in the kingdom of MellVille..King Wilbert Mellville..i had been a knight for many years and was on a quest to find the Crimson Dragon..but instead I found an elder Vampire.It was late one night when i had made camp..i didn't even hear him..all of a sudden i felt this strong creature grab me..next thing i knew i woke up with an urge for blood.I had 2 holes in my neck.From then on i would become one of the most feared Vampires of the times.

I bought on the net a "regression" software just for fun, and began the experiment... what i could see was really vivid. I have always felt drawn to the UK and when I lived there even without knowing the city it was curious because it seemed i knew exactly where to go.
When i began with the regression thing it was awesome and eerie. The place, the furniture, the clothes... i really got scared and turned off the programme

I was a black doctor, the time period seems around the 1930s, and it was a big city, like new york or chicago. That's all I can recall.

I noticed that some of the post the memory of a particular past life is very clear.

Is there a reason why some remember so clearly and others do not?

I have no immediate knowledge, so I must rely upon the members, who have a better understanding than I do.

the only thing i remember form my past life is i was very powerful and in york adn now the pull is back it is pulling me back o york!!

I remember a few of mine, some better than others and somewheat even for better or worse. Let's see there was Egypt and the Temple of Isis, then a life where I was thrown off a high cliff somewhere in the British/irish?sctos lands for being a witch, to drown with my love at that time, then one where I was a wolf., and another where I was witness to the beginning of the Revolution in France, finding my family murdered by soldiers and my life changed by those who lived in the catacombs of Paris.

Deja Vu I think is not entirely related to our past lives...tho you might have a case of it when certain past memories are triggered perhaps by others who knew you then ( i would more consider it a past life recall)..but mostly i have deja vu moments pertaining to this life, like precognition...ok I'm no pro in this matter.

Last night, and this is something I've done since I was a kid- I dreamt that a certain uncle in my family died. Dreams like that have always come tru for me. Thus uncle has had a near death medical issue back in May but seems to be pulling thru, however I trust my dreams, so I'm not telling the family, but we'll wait and see.

As fare as I know No but I have dreams and weird episodes of knowing I have been curatin places or knew curtain people It s weird but I open to finding out more.

I do have vague memories of a previous life

I do not remember any pastlives, Indeed I do not believe in them. However one of the Psychics I work with and several others agree, that in most of my pastlives I was a Shaman, or other primitive healer or councellor. Which is why I do not agree with modern societal rules, and have an affinity for many things occult.

I have a steady stream of memories dating back for thousands of years.
I am putting together what are my memories and those of genetic memory.
My first true memory is walking out of the sands in the area know today as Al Haruj al Aswad in Lybia. The region I have learned used to be a hot bed of volcanic activity.
My next memory is looking up to Pharoh with a sense of fondness.

I have a very clear recollection of things, at times something will trigger a memory like a smell or voice and at once I will be thrown back and I will be reliving an event.
My most vivid memories are that of war. Yet there is a clear time in my past when there was nothing but peace, this was the time of the Kingdom of Dalriada.

I believe you are only the second person who has been able to recollect that clearly.

I am completely fascinated.

Oh, I just realized something. In each of my human like past lives I was a smoker...I had a sort of vision type thing when I was puffin' on a ciggarette.

i don't know that much about my life except that i was either strangled or hanged. i can't stand having things on my neck, without choking.

A few years ago i did alot of study on past lives to find answers to dreams that i was having. A member of the coven i belonged to assisted me and together we found that in my past life i was a priest, the images we got were of me standing at the alter and then being murdered from behind whilst praying...

To answer the deja vu question i believe that it is to do with untapped or untrained abilities to foresee future events... I usually dream future happenings tho at times it is garbled and disjointed and making sense of these "dreams" is difficult tho when the moment occurs i know exactly what will happen down to the outcome and when i try i can change the outcome to suit my needs.

I was a union soldier durning the civil war as i remember somthing of that uniform makes me thing about certain things that i did or what that uniform is based on from everytime i see a army uniform from that time period

i get Deja Vu sometimes, but not all the time, its sorta weird to explain with out sounding weird. i like fall asleep like a normal person and then dream sometimes, then next day i do something and next minute i feel as if i've dreamt it before, like i was living in my dream again :S but it only happens sometimes, not all the time.

i have once had a sighting that i was a JTR victim in 1888. i supose that is why i am so drawn to jac k the ripper.

About the only thing I have a decent memory of is being in a a greenish-gray room, talking with other "people" when someone asked if "anyone wanted to go back" and I said I would...next thing I remember is being born.

It sound more like you were in a place where you were given a choice:

To either stay where you were or to move to a new life.

In either case, it is a fascinating experience.

My theory is that each of the soul chooses the vessle that is our body.

Part of me remembers my past lives, my fears are based off of my mistakes from them. I conciously remember very little about my past lives... My girlfriend who we have figured out has been in alot of my past lives remembers more about then then I do... That is probably because I stop myself from remembering them because I am scared of what I will learn and what I will confirm.

i remember some of my past lives, but most if them are locked up in my head...i know a bit more about my self than others, and its not really worth it sometimes to know more about your self, because you might not like what you find out.

I know that I have talked to people, specifically a pagan family I knew online, and there were times when one of them would talk about their past lives, and I somehow knew things about them or their past that I shouldn't have known...we came to a bitter parting of the ways, so I was never sure how much of what they were telling me was true and what wasn't, but I remembered things I had no way of knowing about them that were proven true-knowing about scars, etc. Due to the fact that our friendship ended so badly, I tend to distrust both what they told me, and what I saw, and anybody who tends to go there, but I believe that past lives are possible, and for some, accessible

If you have read the threads, it is not always a good experience remembering what has happened in a past life.

I find myself just knowing things I shouldn't know so well. Like very old songs. I'll hear a title and be able to sing it as if I listen to it everyday, but I actually never heard it. Places. I can give directions in and around places I have never been, as if I have been there all my life. Things like that. I don't know if they are rememberances from a past life or if they are genitic memories. I tend to feel it is genitics, as they relate most to my own herritage and ethnic background.

I believe we all have been in them, just depends if our current spirit thinks our minds are strong enough to handle it. Why am I attracted to certain time periods in history and certain peoples when I share none of their ancestry?
I think that is the first clue that you were there.

Gen. Patton was a strong believer in reincarnation and often took his staff to various ancient battle locales where he recounted the events that took place there

Yes, it is...and I'm in agreement with you there as well. There has to be new spirits to take the place of those who become enlightened.
The more lives you go through, the closer you get. When you first meet someone who is truly compassionate and without fear or hate, the first thing you think of is someone with an "old soul"

Someone who has never expereinced it before, would actually have no concept of these emotions. How could they?

We have pretty much establish that you care fear and bad feelings with you to each new life you have. You learn to overcome them. but, you have a very real concept of what they are.

Where someone new to, for lack of a better term, life chain, wouldn't understand any of these. I will qualify that as my personal opinion.

Not all old souls are compassionate trust me lol.
A girl I know is farly young in her soul only around 600 years however she is very kind and careing she has some fear but not much.

I have a theory, which is explained in more detail in the Psychic Imprints thread, but basically it is that some who see a Ghost, Spirit, Apparition, whatever you want to call it, are actually watching a memory from a past life, which would make sense with the whole repeating/looping action some have.

I can remember 2 or 3 of them. I know a bit about eash and how I died in each.
