Has anyone ever had a spirit try to communicate with you? Was it to tell you something important or to get you to help them with something?

I talked to a family member through ...methods. It somewhat worked, most methods (especially those that involve other people) are BS. I am sure spirits have their own ways of communication, they need not use our tools to talk to us.

When my grand aunt eleanor died she came to me in a dream and told me, I've had plenty of spirits come to me although there just annoying. They will ask me how do I get to heaven? some will tell me things about themselves as if were having a conversation, although I only do this when I'm in the privacy of my own home and when i'm alone..Perhaps I'm imagining things and I'm just crazy..

may you should a research before posting but still i think a reply is okay anyway.

For spirits to contact us it is for me impossible they only one who do are the demons and they are not nice whe you dont talk abck or wanna play along with their pretending game of being the ones we care about.
I kow first handed cause i got 6 now who keep terosing me or making me wanna go mad so I know they enter you head filld you up with words and whoispers then images as they show up here an there once in a while making one want to die out of fear and intense mind pain or total just madness cause they cant bear to see anym,or ear anymroe what other can tsee or ear making you beleive you are totaly loosing it.

i am sure energy not pinned down to a solid mass interact with us. i am not suggesting the weegee boards work, but more that our dreams and mistaken realities are intertwinned with another reality.

You mean "Ouija"? I am a skeptic to the highest degree, people who see my posts know that. But with a "Ouija" board, it is all in what your attitude is. Treat it like a game that's what you get. At least that is my experience and that of almost every site and book Ive seen on it. Some things I will admit, like the damn thing telling me personal information, are a bit more than coincidence. And it was not at all my influence, in fact i wanted it NOT to work.

My wife's father and both her aunts communicated to her when we had our motocycle accicent and told her that it wasn't her time and that she had to go back.

The reason I asked this question is my husband had a spirit talk to him from a distance standing in a graveyard. It was a child and she called him over to look at her grave. She asked him to help her find her mother. He was alarmed as this had never happened to him before. So he left. but others in the town had this happen aslo. We moved so I never got a chance to go see myself.

I don't know if I was hallucinating or what but one night me and my friend were doing a lot of spells and after he went to sleep There was a bright blue light coming from my basement. I thought it was weird , so i went down to check it out. I saw this figure and it started to say something. I couldn't quite make out what it was saying so I ran up the stairs and woke up my friend. I told him about the blue light and the figure. He saw the blue light but he was to freaked out to look any farther. I kept seeing this figure for about one week.

I have had random feelings of hands n my shoulders and feel a presence of someone in the same room as me. I have seen white figures that look like people but not been able to make out who they are. I havent had any of them try to talk to me or anything like that but they are still there and once and a while I see them.

It has never happened to me, but my dad saw his grandfather right before he died (he woke up and he was at the end of his bed), but his grandfather was in the hospital and they found out the next day that the grandfather died. My dad was at peace knowing his grandfather stopped by to say goodbye.

This is a good question, but one that's answer lies only in speculation.

Do I personally feel that spirits communicate? Yes.

However I will emphasize that this is a personal feeling. There is no scientific manner that this can be proved. No means to share this experience, except through feeling. Similar to love. You cannot see love but you feel the effects. In feeling these effects, your body has chemical releases. So it can be proven that you are having a reaction, but not that you are "in love".

Does this mean I do not believe in it, no. But to prove it would be moot.

As to the statement made that all communications are evil, well that is a moral judgement based off of personal feeling. Again, it is a preconceived notion from boundaries that the individual feels that cannot be proven; except through the experiences that the person sees as part of the pattern of that communication. Which also cannot be proven, aside from their own body’s chemical response to the perceived external stimuli.

I could smell her but i wasnt sure if i was pissed or not so i asked my daughter to come downstairs and asked her if she could smell anything different


she said....."mummy{she was 10 at the time}

it was weird but a warm feeling too

yes I strongly believe in spirits communicating I have with my Gpa and my brother among several while in a graveyard and I find it unsettling at times yet very comforting at others.

I have had contact in a lodge with different spirits. there was message or lesson that needed to be told.

for some odd reason i think m y grandmother is watching over me i just have this feeling even though she died when i was 14 and im 29 now and i still feel her prescence

Well Hell. of course they do. They help to guide and watch over us, so that some mistakes that we would make don't happen. Sometims they are just there to give you a hint of themselves to give you strength at certains when life gets rough.

There are a shitload of reasons why they would communicate with us. Those are just a few.

iv had a spirit flicker lights(i think), flip a flashlight, turn my music on and off, and turn my tv on and off. there are different ways for the spirits to comunicate if they wish. alot of the times it just to scare us. some times, even though they are dead, they still act human.

Let's see, both my maternal grandmother and grandfather, who died 1`1 years apart to the day, visited me at the moment of their deaths, in my dreams, with messages to other family members, as well as a good bye to me, I also saw their dead dog Skippy when my grandfather visited...they've come back a few times too in dreams to give me more mesages.

I've dreamt of death portended, and then it's happened.

I dreamt of a ghost woman who needed help in solving the deaths/murders of her and her daughter in a friends house, and helped solve it to the point of stopping the 'activity' the friends were experiencing.

I've talked with ghosts in graveyards who hadn't crossed over yet, and helped them cross.

Mainly spirits stick around when a task is incomplete, or when they need justice on a wrongdoing, and they can communicate as well thru electronics, turning them on or off, sucking energy...etc. Many of my friends and I have gone thru much of this in groups as well. We've got EVP's that are pretty neat.

I had a spirit liveing in my old house and I used to talk to it quite alot. it seemed easier then talking to anyone else.

yes they do.....spirits ghosts are always coming up to me and allowing me to see and know they are there they do not fear me. I can cross over when needed

Spirits do communicate and the number of times they try may surprise you. I have contacted many in my life but needed not of methods or anything like that. It was just something I could do as a child. Most others though do need some form of method to do this.

Well being Native we do what is called sweat lodges were we try to communicate with the spirit world to reach the answers and prayers. We call them spirit guides. I have many times communicated with them and had recieved signs back from them.

Supposidly me and my sister communicated with my gramma over the ouija board. I still can't believe if it was actually her or not, all I know, is that she explained things to us only she would know. It even had us in tears..

yes i've been communicated by my auntie who died 4 years ago, through my sleep, and other methods, the last time she commuicated with me was 2 months ago to warn me that my eldest son will end up like his dad if i don't get his back seen to as soon as possible, as my hubby has a curveture of the spine, so i took my son to the doctors and they're sending him to a specialist as he has a start of an 's' in his spine.

yes i have my twin brother who died at burth he only seems to show up when im needing help of some sort tho even if its just so i no hes there

yes, usually some thing bad happened to them that they just want heard they want peope to know the truth of what happened, and they usually don't stop till you help them

I have always seen ghosts as strong negative energy left over by people after they die or could still be alive. but to keep an open mind I believe ghosts would be able to communicate. ^^

Usually they are the ones who choose the when and where.

Spirits have a tendency to find me and try to communicate. I had an experince where I was doing a tarot reading for a friend and the spirit started to communicate throught the cards.

I had a spirit communicate to me once and it was when I was playing with my home spirit bord,it told me 9-1-04.At first I didn't know what it meant but that day my great aunt died.

I've not had direct communication with spirits but went to a Medium once. They gave me an interesting reading.
She said she was picking something up from my side of the room regarding a young male who died young and the person connected to didn't know very well.
They had a message. It said not to worry about them, that they were safe now and to give love to the family.
Turns out, after thinking about it to be my cousin who matches all those. The woman also said she felt strongly drawn to me.
This lady knew nothing about me until I walked into the room and said hi to her so yeah, spirits communicate.

yes i believe they communicate with us. i guess obviously different spirits are different in there own way. but some may try through sleep. through moving things and so forth. but you may want to watch communicating with the dead or undead. they may be liers still or hurtful.

I believe they can. From what i can tell, people whether dead or near-dead can communicate with me, and i actually had one of the conversations repeated from someone who knew nothing of it. Which i guess proved to me it works. Its not as fun as it's cracked up to be though.

My old girlfriend (killed by a drunk driver when we were teens) comes to me every now and then. She just smiles. No words. It's very reassuring and comforting. She tends to show up when things are tough for me. One day I'll hug her again and thank her.

I used to live across the street from a cemetary, and over those 2 years I saw and heard things which have me convinced that they do try to communicate...even if they don't really succeed

I believe that spirits can contact live spirits after all we are all spirits. I believe that they are all around that they are on a parallel plane to us. That some can actually see and talk with them becuase they are more sensitive when it comes to their other sences.

I did have a friend who's freind was shot in a drive by. after she told me about him i started to be able to feel his presence that's how i communicate with other spirits... i cant see them or talk with them but i can feel them. feel what they are feeling. i knew that he wanted me to help her get over him. and i did. the only time i've ever seen and talked to a spirit that has passed is through dreams.

When I was 18 I moved into an apartment that come to find out was built over some land that many moons ago used to be a Native American Burial Grounds. Of course being native myself would have never gone there but it wasnt disclosed to me till afterwards. All the people who lived there experinced sounds of a native drum, seeing visions, and being taunted. I ended up re locating but never was really bothered by it due to my own spiritual beleifs. Now they must disclose to people who move there what they might encounter before they move in.

Yeah I have seen spirits out of the corner of my eyes too. I believe the ones I seen were shadow people. What was weird was I was the only one who could see them. When I told my fiance to look it would vanish into a vapor which she saw that and thought it was strange and started believing me. I saw one standing at the foot of my bed one night and it was all black except for a white face which had no features. I just ignored it and went to sleep. I cleansed myself and the house and they disappeared. Some say it was all in my head and it could be because i would swear i could hear them speak to me not audiblely but a voice in my head.

First to answer the Question...Yes I do believe that Spirits can communicate...whether they do communicate with everyone or what they say is a different subject completly. And to the last post... I believe I know what your talking about I want to say I think they called Deminies I may be wrong I check and get back with you. And yes they do talk to you in your mind they have no real "voice" It is merely thier thoughts.

I do believe that Spirits can communicate with us. I haven't had any communcation myself, but my mom received one for my great grand father through her dreams.

i have had some very near death experiences, and virtually died once was flatlined for a minute or 2, but everytime i seem to keep surviving, and the moment i become conscious again i feel the presence of my grandmother who died when i was 14 and i was very close with her as a child

so what i believe that there is an afterlife or spirit realm as i have been fascinated with it since i was 21 and had my first near death experience

yes hunny spirits do communicate i'm a prime example of that.my x commited suicide and will not let me go so he tries to communicate with me all the time.

i would imagine they communicate and communicate often with us.. the dimentional barriers don't prohibit things, probably make it easier to infiltrate thoughts and ideas, if anything..

I think one year my grandmother tried to communicate with me but seeing her didn't last very long, my other experience is in my journal but I don't think that time the spirit was exactly trying to communicate

A person is never dead as long as they are remembered. I have talked to my Dead 1st wife on many problems. She is talking to me or my mind is. But the responces are the answers that i would get from her. So you tell me if it is her or the memory of her locked in my mind.

Yeah 2-3 nights after my bro passed away, my other brother and I were in a trance at the same time seeing what my bro went through before he passed away. We were in 2 different places at the same time.

ive tried many of times to talk to my sister who has passed on. i got thro to her once and it was to warn me from my father. i asked her to show us signs that she is still watching over us and protecting us. she has done this in many ways. we have a memorial of her in our dinning room. its just a bunch of angels and pictures of her. there is one angel we have of her that was in her casket and every now and then it is turned around. then we will find old letters that she has written just laying in the middle of the room. we throw most of them away but they seem to come back. so i believe that they do communicate with us but only for certain reasons.

This night I could not slepp, for numerous reasons but one is cause the little girl who is harrassing me ( dont mean a living little girl but a fukcing demon) kept bugging me and forcing me to pack all the clothes of my mate and his tuff, when I stop she gpt mad and threathen me, she never befroe even spoke with a voice I got spook, and now I cant sleep, unless it will be day liht then I know I wll be safe, I had tot ake out my daggers to be able to face her, and even so she freak me out, now I am stuck awake and tired liek shit with his stuff all pack and he is gonna be piss at me, he knows i see the little Liliane but he say he see her too, but will he beleive me or hurt me caue he will be piss? I s wish he beleive me...I go to go to bed soon, I think if its not to crowed, and why am I not cause my mate is not in bed with me so when he will wake up and see his tuff he wont understand..(on top this is not the first time she does that but usualy she dont speak I just know and do it, last time I kick out my roomate, to calm her..but now nothing seemed to calmed her...I have no clue what to do, if he stay she will continue if he goes I iwll be abandon and left alone again..what to do?

i dont believe that they communicate in words, but i have had experiences where my CD players volume has gone up and down without me being any where near it. and also things like the doors opening and closing.

not in the sense of talking,but sending us signs,i believe they do that.my brother used to pinch the end of his ciggarrette,i came home one day found a pack of marlboro's open on the table and one pinched cigg. in the ashtray,i lived alone at the time and no one but me had the key,so i know it was him.,letting me know he was ok.

I believe I've had contact with those who have passes in dreams and during meditation. Also, and this has happened to other family members, I have heard my name called whenever I've been alone.

Yeah, dreams are supposed to be their main way of communicating according to many so-called "experts." I've never personally had that happen, but my mother, grandmother, and I have all had my uncle drop by occasionally... He comes with a signature smell of cigarettes; it's kind of weird, but it's also neat to know he's still here for us.

I do believe that spirits communicate! Like RavenEyes said most that have communicated with me, I feel they just wanted to be noticed! I have had one experience that I took as a warning, only cause my life was really crazy then & I saw my grandfather that I had been very close to!

I believe spirits do not use the methods of actually speaking...i see that they communicate by objects, winds, and emotions. I don't believe in spirits going into beings and talking through them...that is just my opinion of the matter. and some believe in holding hands and chanting that's fine if they believe it and not say that my idea is wrong......

I have never had the dead try to contact me, and i dont believe that they can, over the years, there has been many attempts to do so, but all were proven to be fake. even Houdini exposed dozens of fakes that said they could contact the dead. in my opinion, it is not possible or has even been done, but you will always get those few ppl who will swear that they have been contacted and such, and in there mind, they do believe it. just my thoughts on this subject.

I have 3 ghosts in my house...or had. The first is a ghost cat, that will curl with the cat lovers that come and visit the house. My husband and best friend Amy, feel it all the time.

Second, is my Husbands 19 year old sister that died in our living room. (we own the house they grew up in) She had her wisdom teeth taken out, got blood poisoning and basically had a stroke in the living room. My dogs notice her and I have heard her say hello to me. I also smell hair spray in the front foyer...its where she would primp to go out with her boyfriend.

3rd ghost was scary and we eventually had the house cleaned (pagan style) because of him. I felt it was a him. If i went to the basement after 10pm...i would feel myself being stared at. I swear i could feel something looking at me and as i walked back up to the steps, i would feel a rush of air as if something was rushing me. Come to find out i'm not the only one....My husbands mother, other sister, my girlfriend, my aunt, my mother. Only women felt it.

They communicate in different ways...as you can see...

As I posted in spiritual companions, my stepfather has made himself known to the family at times of crisis and in watching over family memebers. He stopped my mother from what could have been a fatal car accident, he also showed his approval of the home my mother recently purchased after his death by flickering the lights off and on over her head as she asked if she was doing the right thing. I most definetly believe that spirits communicate...some just may be more open to it than others.

i do believe that spirist have the ability to communicate with the world of the living/this reality and there are quite a few ways for them to do so most methods used to communicate with the living or undead is they may use more subtle methods than just simply appearing before us and speaking directly to us.as for the ouiji board method that channel is way to wide treat it like a game and you may get a visitor that may just want to mutilate you or worse.
but the most contact with them i have had is
just a few nights ago when they actually have spoken to me and had made physical contact with me.but after demon activity increased around the area i live in i just decided to put a protection spell around me and i have not made contact with them yet but i think i will attempt to make contact soon

I do believe that spirits good and bad can communicate with the real world. I also believe that some people are more receptive then others are.

Yes I do Believe that spirits commune and interact with the living.

I have two accounts.

1st. Before moving into the place I live in now, it was empty except for the men working on the new floor. After I moved in and while unpacing my things, I found 3 photo albums on a closet shelf, that was not there when I moved in. When I found them, the two spirits in the house that use to live here before me, went reminsining with me and the albums. Also they mention that they wanted the albums to go to a specific brother in the family and no other. They were sent to them.

2nd was recently, My mother was driving on the highway shooting out a cig when all 4 rings on her finger went tapping off the roof of the car. She pulled over to find then but all was lost. she made her call to the cops and made a report, after that she called me and told me what happened, saddened by what happened, i made a prayer to my mom about the rings she lost, and when to bed. The next morning I got a call from my mom in awe about asking me if i had said a prayer for her and i said yes, and in turn vaigely remembering seeing a truck in my dreams,, when she told me that her rings ALL OF THEM were in her mothers rosary bag that was in her purse. she cried with joy. I figured with the dream i had, was more like me having spiritual help with getting the rings back to my mom, with the help of my grandmother on my mom's side. :D

I've spoken to my grandmother after she passed away. It wasn't really her asking for help, or anything like that. She was just filling me in on what she was feeling and what had happened to her. It was strange but welcomed at the same time.

My grandmother has communicated with me several times since her passing. I think it was more to console me and to tell me that she knew I loved her and that she was watching over me and my daughter and to tell my brother that she loved him and his boys as well.

I've had friends and family come by to say good-bye upon passing. Though the Native culture we believe that our ancestors come to us as guides to teach life lessons, or for warn us of what may come. This often happens though visions, meditation, lodges, and dreams. In which I have also witnessed happening.

On St. Patricks day of last year my family was sitting at the dinner table just about to dig into a feast of corn beef and all the fixings. It was the first time in a long time that both my uncles had sat down at the same table together. They were starting to dig at each other and just at that moment my Grandfather's electric train started all by itself. It was my grandmother, it was her way of letting them know she was still around and they need to try to get along.

Other times we will be in the kitchen cooking one of her recipes and all of the sudden smell her perfume. It's nice to know she still looks over us.

I depends on what spirit it is for me. Usually if a spirit is communicating with me, they have something to say. My grandfather shows up when he thinks I'm doing something I shouldn't be. It's kinda funny to see the spirit of my dead grandfather standing there looking at me like "You know you're wrong...fix it!". LOL

Yes, I believe they do but many of us do not realize where strange events may come from.

My oldest daughter a year ago knew that her dead grandmother was doing things at work. When she was there alone. It was peaceful and comforting though, not scary.

Most spirits are not scary, I believe they are just trying to communicate and figure out where the hell they are and where they are suppose to go.

From my experiences, they have been trying to communicate, usually to find help to finish something so that they can move on.... But that is just my experience.

I have never had one communicate with me personally, but I friends who have seen them, spoken to them. I do know they exist. I believe some are more open to them then others. But they are out there.

Had some possible experiences via dreams. Really hard to distinguish or define them though. It’s to hard to critically analyze and define what is or is not happening. I’m a skeptic but I don’t discount it from being possible just not sure it has happened with me.

yes I believe that spirits communicate with the liveing, why not?? I believe they are talking to us because they do not realize they are dead, or they are looking to tell their loved ones not to cry.

It was our subconsious "spiritual" self, telling us to stop trying to find fuzzy abstract answers to unrealistic questions which aren't answerable due to flaws in minds constantly showing themselves in human reasoning, and that we should get real with our existance and start seeing things from a sane perspective before we permanently stain our brain with superstitious mush.

From what i know and have heard , your answer would be yes . Mostly family....Those that have , like your husband , is rare .

my brother has also appeared to my daughters in dreams, they never got to meet him, he died before they were born, but when they are troubled, he comes to them in dreams and talks to them.

yeah ive had a spirit communicate to be before. it was a small boy wanting me to tell his dad that he was sorry for leaving him. but i didnt know who his dad was or anything.

it didnt freak me out or anything like that. just made me feel really sad that i couldnt help him.

I think spirits communicate. I think it's more prevelant with someone you had formed a bond with. You will be more receptive to them. As for a random spirit communicating with you- you would have to be highly sensitive and open to receive it.
