it could be... cant say i have ever done it.. but when feel evil on occasion i think a demon could very well be summoned. it may not be able to be seen but its action can still be felt.

I don't think it would be possible to call demons like in the TV show 'Supernatural'. It might be possible to call a demon that exist in your mind, to make it manifest only to you. Which could explain many of the people who "lost their mind"

You can't call a demon, just by thinking about them, you would need to call them by there true name or throw something else.

I agree with darkicewolf. it's possible to call them, but not by thought. It takes a rituqal and a summoning circle at least to do the job...even more to do it right

I have heard where u can call demons .Do not invoke them and make them mad because they can hurt u. I have demons around me alot in my home but tell them to leave they have to listen to you.
You have to know what demons your calling to face what they have ahead of you and what ur going to face what they give out.

I guess it is possible to realise a summoning with bare thoughts, but I believe as well that a huge effort is neccessery to be succesfull in the attempt, in the attempt of breaching the planar barriers just with ones thoughts.

For all the be all end all answers, let me add my two cents for a moments time...

Sometimes, when an individual is thinking about something they want, it comes their way. This is what some of us would call a summoning. It is a telepathic art, which is used as well to summon entities from the ethereal, including the malevolent ones such as daemons.

It is not impossible, but merely improbable. As most daemons are used to being called by said rituals alone. Does not mean it does not happen. Take possession for example, does ones thoughts call forth the entities to "infest" ones body?

I would recommend thinking about answering questions before actually posting them...Not to begrudge nor flame this thread, but anything is possible when it comes to the affairs of the ethereal.

Soulshroude I forgot about that, that demons can control humans at times. But would that be them calling the demon by thinking about it, or by the demon coming by its self?

Could be looked at from both points of view, but then why would said daemon have an interest in its host?

Maybe the host was weak and looking for a way out? That or its host was of a powerful standing?

Could be a possibility that said host was of a faith that said daemon was wanting to test said faith. Or said host was of complete open mind, or completely mental.

No you can't call a demon by simply thinking of one. (I'd be in alot of trouble were that the case)

However thoughts of evil doings towards others do put a negativity out there that could harm the one you are thinking of. Remember it will also come back to you. Hence the reason most know to neutralize a bad thought or hastilly spoken words in anger.

I think calling the demon opens you up so no kind of protection can truly protect you. Calling their name is a challenge. They want to do all they can after you do to get back at you, or control you somehow. Munipulation. You can not gain their power without a risk of it back firing.

It's entirely possible and not at all recommended. That's why one should exercise caution when reading something with a demon's name (either out loud or to yourself), even if you believe it to be pure BS.

You have to open yourself up first and open a certain window in order to call any demons. Unless, some religions say, you are close to GOd and therefor you have an open window towards him and temptation is what the demons will seek of you.

For the most part I don't really think you can call them without realizing it but they can be attracted to very negative thinking. If you are focusing on demons then I think it would be possible to draw them to you but I would try to avoid doing so.

from what i have read. demons or evil entities are usually drawn to negativity. they feed off of it and can very well show up if there is alot of that in a house. ive also read that they are more drawn to teenagers because it is said in a teenagers life there can be alot of stress and negative energy around them . i think yeah it can be possible one never knows what can truely happen and for what reason. but anything is possible.

It is often said that our thoughts and actions effect our world... that believing in success will often be followed by success... whether this is due to confidence levels, or through some fated means remains to be seen.

I believe that a lot of paranormal... ghosts, incubi, succubi... could be explained as visitations by answers to a person's need to see a deceased family member to apologise for harsh last words, or a person's lust.

Some demon are even more dangerous bound then unbound they reek havoc until you bind them then they undermined your very existence.

Responding to the first question... Demons are always around us, in us... So the problem is not calling them or bringing them to us, but to keep a safe distance from them, to know how to protect us from them...
Demons often don't need invitation to come, so it is very possible that only by thinking of them to allow them entering your life and soul.

DIC The difference between banishing and bonding demons is where I think I was misunderstood...once a demon has served its summons it has the option to return...if say the sap that called it is weak and unprotected the demon may find the disturbance a reason to roust them.

I have met many people that clam to be able to see and talk to demons and that they could call them and control them. However they never where able or willing to prove it. So if it is possible I have yet to see it.

calling something invoking something, and summoning something....three very different things
calling something inadvertantly....of course...all you are doing is getting attention, invoking is in some ways an invite to posession, and summonings are much more precise, with boundaries and barriers in place(whether or not they are sucessful)

I've heard about people being able to summon demons, but I have never seen anyone doing so.

I have heard of people manifesting demons that already exist in there mind.

I do not think so because in my expiernce when calling a demon, you need to lall the demon there with somethign it wants.

I don't believe you can call a demon by just thinking about them. Even evil has laws to adhere too. You need to know their name and perform a summoning ritual.

However, by thinking about it you could possibly attract lower entities that can copy the demon you have in your mind and manifest themselves to you in that shape and form. Therefore they can feed off your energies, play with your head, etc.

Why should we even assume that we could possibly have the power to summon demons, if they did exist?

My response without reading anyone else's would be you would draw to you what your idea of a demon was and this may only be a thought form because no one can really agree on what a demon is as it varied over time periods and what religion was in power.
