I have poltegist activity in my house lately and being a vampire , They are much scared but when I see them I kinda back away and my cats go nuts,
How does ghosts affect vampires?

Actually, entities such as ghosts can communicate with the "vampire" more than they tend to with the mundane crowd. This is mainly because the vampire has a bit more of a clarity for things not of this immediate world.

They may sit down and have a brief conversation with you if you either let them, or have the time. Just depends on the moods of the two of you.

But yes, they are aware of you as you are of them, this being unexplained in certain circumstances, but best explained as as the vampire has its foot through the door of the ethereal, then it would be subjected to these "standards".

I would say that every human being has free access to communicate with Spirit if they choose.

I don't believe any particular group has the 'edge' for any reason.

I'm sorry but if they wanted to sit down and talk, you don't need to be a vampire to have that occur. It happens regularly for plain folk too.

Maybe this sounds like the "tough guy" routine but there isn't much way to tell if it's really ghosts or not. Hell, demons like masqurade as everythng under the sun and their grandma. So who's to say these "ghosts" aren't just demonic beings pulling your leg? That's what it sounds like to me.

There is also that possibility that they are trying to communicate something with you as well.. see what they want,..maybe they will give u a sign of some sort

Vamps are more likely to interact with an entity than are regular people. Spirits are drawn more to people who can interact with them than they are with people who can't.

I don't see what one has to do with the other. Unless the vampire has the abilities of a medium, they'd be just as able to see a ghost as a human.

But that's just it. Vamps aren't human. One of their dark gifts is communicating with the spirit world. That's not to say that some humans can't do the same, I'm just saying that vamps are more suseptible to it.

role game it fits well with vampire lore for sure.

You're talking about one of the stereotypes for a vamp. I was refering more to the actual vamps. But yes, stereotypically, yes, that could be a reason.

Ghosts are much below us on the chain. Inless they were a more powerful spirit like a wraith or banshee then I would worry alittle, but normal ghosts are nothing to us dear girl

I have to agree. Ghosts have no physical body, therefore they cannot touch you. Wraiths are, I believe, the ones that can touch you. When you google pics of wraiths, grim reaper type of pics turn out as your result. Banshees like to scare you, but they don't really hurt... I honestly think they just bother you for kicks.

Well first I wonder what the general definition of ghost is here. Generally poltergeist activity is connected to an individual person and very often someone going through puberty. It is considered a form of psychokinetic energy that cannot be controlled by the person concerned.

Vampires are human, lol...whoever said they weren't...only in books and movies are they depicted otherwise. Some will use the word as a defining line but mundane, human, normals all the same thing but it doesn't mean vampires are not human unless you mean the fictional vampire like Dracula.

I think vampires would have a more keen sense to see the ghosts than normal humans would.

I still don't see any ties between the two. I believe humans are just as alive as vampires and therefore just as able to participate in the supernatural.

Beside talk your ear off, and keep you up at night until you decide to ignore them or, actually listen to them, they can't do much of anything to you. The only ones I pay mind to is children, I bear to leave them feeling alone. they have to be helped to move on, unless you get a couple who decide they rather stay with you then you're just stuck with them.

You will be lucky to get rid of them. I would be terrified too if a poltegist was buggin me. Moving seems to be the best idea lol. Unles you can somehow contact them.

I think vampires having more clarity would be able to see them better or even talk to them but like with everything else that just depends on the gifts you have already. But I don't think they have any more affect on a vampire then they would a mundane

but if it is attached to you there is the possiblity it could follow you where ever you may go . so it may not be a solition to just pack up and move.

as far as vampires being able to see them more and being effected by them more i dont know about that . id say in any haunting case if the spirit want you to see it you will sometimes they more show themselvs to people who have more open minds than outhers .

An excellent point. Ghosts can just decide to follow you. I would just see what the hell they want so they'd leave me alone.

What gives vampires more clarity than mundane? Nothing. The only way to get more clarity is to be amoung the dead or undead. Period. It doesn't matter what you are, if you don't have connection with the dead you're no better than anyone else.

An effect can happen.It's called annoyance.

If they are trying to communicate, then see what and who they are and why they are there... if you are a vampire like you say you are, then you should be able to more easily communicate with them.

You can also look into the history of the house or what you live in, as well as the land and surrounding area.

i agree i think that you have answered your own question, as well as think that communication between a ghost and vampire if such a thing was indeed had would be rather easy being both are in a state of death.

i agree with bathory... vampires are more suseptable to ghost frequencies as opposed to someone who isnt aware of activity at all or doesnt believe that ghost exist. Best way is to try to communicate with them and see why they are manifesting. Perhaps they have a messege for y9u or offering protection as a guardian

Vampirism isn't a "state of death" it simply a physical condition of a human causing them to crave blood and become more sensitive to sunlight and garlic, their's nothing "haunted" about them, so I don't see why you people think vampires are more intune with the dead.

If you have lived there a while and the ghost is new, it may be trying to warn you of something. You can try to accept it, and most don't bother you too much, but if it really bothers you what about a house clensing?

Take Anne Rice's 'The Vampire Chronicles'. Ghosts tend to avoid vampires in it.

If you have a poltergiest It is your malifastation and sometimes spirits feed off of it.But nothing to worry about read about poltergiest hauntings.

Unless you're a psi vamp, a ghost would not effect a vampire in any way. Its not like a sang would be able to feed from it, however a psy could possibly receive energy from it.

some vampire have the qift to see and talk to them. some of the ghost go to the vampire for help with something that they didnt finish or something alone that line.

i really believe in ghost and do believe vamp do exist but i do go for the ghost cause when my mom passed a week later i was fixing my bath water leaning over and i felt a hand rest on my back and i felt it was my mom there is this cematary in duncan ok that was sending vibes it had me leary in general i love cemataries but this one and only bothered me we have one here in decatur is truly haunted and it is really kool love to be able to go in when dark ther is alot of haunted places here in decatur ill

Vampires tend to draw in ghost, spirits more so than humans. I'm not sure why though.

ghosts can affect anyone. remember vampires aint exactly alive, but, aint exactly dead.

Well, it depends on your view. I think ghosts and 'vampires' can be considered one in the same, if only in a spiritual point of view.

Perhaps it is just you are both creatures of the paranormal. Or as a vampire your senses are more heightened and you can contact them a lot more than a mere human.

I do have a friend who is a psy vampire, and he regularly uses his abilities to hunt ghosts professionally. I would have to agree with the previous users who stated that vampires are more apt to sensing ghosts because of their heightened awareness.

I have to go out on a limb here and say, I think this is far fetched. If you've had issues with a poltergeist lately (and I do remember posts of yours before where you've said pretty close to the same thing) you would have them dealt with so they do not turn into something harmful.

Even though I do believe in the vampiric lifestyle, I do not think that any form of 'poltergeist' is going to be drawn to a 'vampire'. A poltergeist has no reason to ‘fear’ anything living.

I dont think it really matters who or what you are, a ghost will be drawn to whomever they wish.

The way it is seen by many is that ghost and vampires come from the same line of beings...to be exact the undead kind...

so vampires would have more chances of seeing them...as a human would of seeing another...

dont feel wary they arent they not there to hurt you...

i think the spirits that are around had something in life that they didn't finish and want to very much they won't rest until they do

If this makes you feel better. From my understanding ghosts cannot hurt people or other creatures... However, only polterguists can... And appearnly you'll know when one of those around they like to throw things around

Im not sure wat 2 think. I think if a ghost realy needs 2 communicate with you they will do so. Otherwise they will stay hidden but there presense is still there.

it is not that fact that your a vampire that lets the ghosts affect you it is that you are afeared it is no different then for a human. i dont believe that ghosts exeist out of hades to if im wrong its not like they can affect me

you may have backed away because with spirts it is easier to sense a intention living people play more games acting nice when they want to stab you in the back spirts don't hide intentions if you felt like backing away go with that they may be a spirt that wishes you harm

Since I don't totally buy into the "real vampire" thing...I do feel that one supernatural/superhuman being would be drawn to another of the same.

The vampire is corpreal, while the ghost is ethereal.

Therefore, one is not capable of effecting the other, short of visulaization and communiction.

Well i believe that ghosts and vampires are to different things there for they cannot communacte. I think ghosts can only talk or communacte with living beings and the same for vampires. Its like demons only taking control of humans. that kinda thing.

As a vampire I've never really had a problem with ghosts, I've seen them, I've talked to them, but I've never really been affected by them otherwise

I agree with Mollidew here, most poltergiests are connected to unkown psychic activity. Many times it's the person being haunted who's causing it. the town i used to live had many a haunted house because of the placement of the town.

As for psi vamps and vamps alike to being able to communicate more I disagree. If they know you can see them, they'll react like a small child.

i have them in my life since i was a child, i can see them, smell them and speak to them. i am a pagan. i practice the black arts, and they are not hear to hurt anyone, they just want to be heard. so dont fear them they will help you when you ask for help just try i one night

Geist could care less about vampires although a vampires hightened senses would make it hard for geist to operate.

Apparitions touch aps,smell aps ,sound aps or visual apparitions, would not "spook" a vampire in the least.

Although the ghost are in your house and you can sense them, cats have a better sense then we as humans do and when they act crazy its because they are probrobly driving to scare them off to protect you and your family

i would personally see what it wants. they probably want to just talk or whatever. wouldn't it suck to be stuck on earth, in someone elses house, alone, no one to talk to, for all eternity?

Yes, I think its possible for the ghost to communicate with a vampire. But its not always as easy as it seems. Ghosts are sometimes afraid of vampires, thus will not always approach you if you are one. But in case that does happen, dont be afraid, there is nothing that can happen to you, just dont show that you are scared and things should go smoothly and the ghost will not disappear either.

Oh and you can have long and meaningful conversations with ghosts. Because they went thoguth a lot and they know a lot, so you can ask them questions and they will answer them most of the time. They always know the answer, it seems weird, but thats how things go with them. Sometime in the old times, if people wanted to find out something, they would kill someone, and talk to the ghost, to have their question answered.

That sounds cruel, to kill someone just for an answer. unless it was for the greater good, like a cure for cancer or something.

If you were a "vampire", why would you fear a ghost? No reason to fear a ghost anyway. It's just people in another form, reliving something or trying to communicate.

I've never heard of people killing someone just to talk to their ghost. Even if they did, there's no reason to believe they could be contacted. Not all dead people become ghost, no matter how horrible their death was.

Ghost craft can become an addictio, once a person astonishes someone and appeals to there beliefs they will keep performing, sometimes even picking up an acomplish knowingly or unknowingly, talk about tricking out a persons mind, creating an environment where they come to believe their own deceptive practice activated a text book description of a ghost like event....
