I've heard of highly practiced occultists that are more than gifted and artistically skilled making portals that open at the time of death.
That they create worlds or join other worlds. So they may escape the limitations of death or just the cease of being.
Either they can make their souls depart their body and become "gaurdians" of what is known as 'The Occult Rhealms' or they enter the portal body and all and disappear.
It is rumored that Aleister Crowley and even Anton Levay attempted this. But Mr. Levay was the only one who succeeded by perfecting Crowley's ritual.
Do you think 'The Occult Rhealm' legends are true or bogus?
Or could even be possible?
Anything is possible though I have never heard of this,I think is is fascinating what you have said,it really opens the mind to every possiblity that you never really depart, which I have believed all along, just hard to make some believe it could be possible.
There are only two things that everyone will know that will happen. Death and Taxes. Death will happen whether we want it to or not and Taxes will happen whether we want them to be there or not.
As for cheating death it is possible but if you want to cheat death and escape into a world that could be just as dangerous or that you cant get out of did you really cheat death?
I think what Anton practiced was all true,
And anything is possiable I studie Anton and he was a great occultist. As I truly would like to be like him one day.
My father was a highly respected and practiced occult leader and now elder, but is kinda skiddish about the subject.
He said a human sacrifice is neccesary. "Their death is the key to your new life."
He said it's highly tempting, but using someone's life to do it is wrong.
He's trying to make his own ritual, but w/o using a human being.
I do believe that anything is possible but I am also sure that sooner or later we will all meet death.
Just a legend.
Everyone who is born will die. All living things must come to an end.
I agree with many others what lives must at some point die.. But memory's can live on for ever so make your mark and be a good person and you can be immortal.
I believe no matter where you are some sort of death if not complete death is necessary.
But I've heard weird things about these "Occult Rhealms" that the spirits of vampires, lycans, any type of person who uses magick dwells there. Or the person or entity itself.
I believe it on a certain level, but at the same time it kinda sounds like medieval Harry Potter b.s. to me.
I don't know......
maybe I'll never find out
and maybe I will
One of my friend's was an Osirian and Sumerian priest also a free mason and said he read about it and wished to perform it.
He was also my mentor.
A weird one he was......
Anyways he said you had to go through a demon named Antaresc. My dad said he same.
I looked for this 'Antaresc' and found nothing.
They said because he was a demon of a sacred society that vanished.
Hmmm...I wonder why they vanished?
A portal???
I dunno.......
Then I found him (Antaresc) in one of my dad's books.....
And this demon is freaky looking.....
Death is inevitable no matter what you due eventually it takes us all.
I believe death is inevitable. If it isn't... there's no point to life for me. You need to come full circle. Enter the world, exit the world.
So with all outer body related questions I would thread along conscious projection out side the body. As i crashed (from heart trouble)i recalled the disassociation I practiced as a child, I "slipped out" consciously I am sure,(as I have heard others do seconds before, during, or shortly after accidents. There for saving the concious from the trama. I have wondered if the body was unpossesable what would become of the shifted concious or if the concious even shifted out. I know I am alive but sometimes i shiver as if I only repossessed my own body. Portals i have thought of and i use them in my dreams.
I believe that death is indeed inevitable.
Nothing can live forever right?
i believe that it is possible to find the source of life and be "immortal".... what it is i don't know
When I look at the subtle difference between
Life After Death (Existence After Death) or The After Life (After Existence) the later is the one i consider myself more exceptable to me. my friends say I am a pesstimist,... realist perhaps, but a clean end to this , as opposed to a beyond comprehendable conclusion. I will take the perpetual stimulation over a limited scope of predrudgery, Would i want anything to do with streets of gold for. they are streets I am done with all that. I aim for the Light Flush. why think ghost when I can fuse into sun light?
no i think dont think that it is possible but that is MY belief and it maybe wrong
I'd actually have to disagree with that, LadyElectra. ;]
There's got to be something other than the mundane heaven and hell that we know of.
I think people are just comfortable with the pre-exsisting notions that you live a good life and go to heaven.
Or lead a horrible one and go to hell.
But what if you could create your own heaven and hell and go there when you die or want to cease being in this world?
Or your the supreme being or ruler of it?
Or people didn't see the world like you or comprehend things like you?
So you made your own realm for people to experience those things?
I know their are portals and other levels, plains, and dementions. I've experienced them, but they were not permament residences and were'nt meant to be so.
But to live life in a world of your design, to disappear to.....or someone you admired is uncomprehensible and kinda hard to believe, but then again it's really not.
as an Escapist I have no projection as to what is outside the box why let my self be tethered to an absolute. What is beyond can only be experienced After this. I choose not to call it Life After Death, because life is so limited now Why would I want a divine version?
Can't get out of life alive.
I hope there is just........a suprise.what we want/deserve,........well, I think that we are terrified of death, we imagine worlds beyond for comfort or solace.
We concentrated a bit more on life, things would feel better and face facts that the end is thend, and why not??
(Posion, is your avatar the demon from the movie 'Legend'?)
Anyways, I know that I myself is afraid of death, if NOT absolutely terrified.....I think we all are on some level, and it truly is comforting to think their is another way of exsistance......
I wouldn't mind hanging out with vamps and were-animals, but I'd miss my family too much if there was a heaven...
What scares me the most is....what if nothing happens?
I'm just lying in a box, covered under a few pounds of dirt, with nothing in my mind except blankness....blackness.....I have to know what's going on around me or be able to "live" in some way.
I believe our bodys will fail , but we have an energy that will continue . that said I have no idea if we just join together with all the energy that has gone befor us or reincorperate into another form or dimention .
the above is my man and i kinda agree with him and disagree on some level ... yes our bodys will fail eventualy and i do believe we will turn into another form of energy but i believe you can prolong deaths cold boney fingers poking for your essence all you need do is plead with him for more time as you have unfinished business but rest asured ...death will not be fooled over and over if you keep making crap up to live for you get only so many do overs
I think death is inevitable but when you die from so called natural causes you have a choice when you die.
Death is inevitable regardless of the causes. I really don't know what to think about the portals.
Thanx guys and gals.....I don't know what much more could be said about this thread, but it sure has been fun....:)
Portals ???
To be honest if Alister cant do it no one can. Lol
My question back is how do they know levi did do it lol
I think its possible, and so does quantom physics, but yikes who really knows what lies through those portals...
This has been some interesting reading. I believe that we won't know until the moment of our death. I am very curious as to what will happen next. I don't think we can reach a definitive verdict until our own time comes. Here's to death...or not.
Well you know, this is what I mean when I talk about life after this one, to a great extent. I mean, what is out there? I don't like mysteries.
I am still quite skeptic about the way Lavey passed. It was during a ritual, but rumour still has it that in the middle of that ritual, he apparently had a stroke or heart attack.
Whether or not he was aware of the "portal" idea, was his alone to achieve. As for Crowley, he was a very well learned adept in his time. Advance to a point that the Universe called him back.
As for inevitable death, those two individuals previously mentioned did suffer the passage of death, yes...After death, they may have journied through said portal, but they passed into death nonetheless.
In conclusion, everything dies...It is what you do in life that reflects the passage of death. The aftermath...That part is for the individual to understand.
This is interesting but...anyone who thinks human sacrifice is necessary is just a murderer to me
Hell, I would be skiddish as well, after witnessing what I have witnessed I can imagine what your father has gone through.
Though the sacrifice is nessessary at times, more often then not, it is a mock sacrifice. Shame that certain occult groups actually do have the dismay of ritual blood. I can say the Freemasons do NOT use this option even at the highest degrees.
To cheat the death is impossible as i see it. Sooner or later it come and knack on everyones door. Maybe possible to delay it thru theese kind of stuff. But death always win.
I dont think anyone can cheat death, we were all born to die.
wont ever cheat death when is time is time.. and exactly we all die sometimes and even fi sometime u think u beat it.. dont exactly mean ya have because if was ment to die then it would of happened
Whatever happens I reckon Dream Theater say it best: "After we're gone the spirit carries on..."
There seems to be several parts to this discussion: 1. avoid death and continue here, 2. avoid death and enter another realm, and 3. die, but enter another realm, preferably a really cool one, 4. What would this other realm be like.
Prompted me to explore the idea of Elysian Fields, which I always thought of as the individual's personal view of paradise.
Wiki gives an interesting and accessible literary survey which includes references from Homer, Dante and A Streetcar Named Desire.

Interesting enought the human body is capable of living forever; I can't remmeber the chemcial off the top of my head but it is created by the brain and relaesed into the blood stream, this chemical tells the body to regenerate or heal to make it easy. As we grow older the brain produces less and less of this chemical causing the physical body to deteriate hence showing signs of aging. If the chemical is reintroduced to the body it has a somewhat reversed affect, actually regenerating lost tissue, oddly enought much like a reptile regrowing its tail the human body is cleansed and encouraged to heal with herbs or what not is also capable of regeneration. The body if stimulated correctly could inevitably regernerate forever avoiding death. Much like taking a few cells from your body a clone can be created, the mapping for your entire makeup is stored in one DNA stran and can be reactivated to regenerate upon command........creepy huh.
Are you thinking of dhea?
There is a human growth hormone, but tests on humans have been inconclusive.
Got to believe more radical tests conducted in other parts of the globe, and that some people are flying to Switzerland to get their injections even as I post.
If you want it so much I'm sure it will feel like it's happening.
I read once that when passing some people were so convinced they would sleep till they heard the angels trumpet that that's just what they did....sleep.
There is no escaping forward motion...we may dilly dally all we like....but we go on in just the way we were meant to.
That may be what it was called, I remember eading about it a few times, and the testing being done with it. As per the herbal regneration I've seen that work, kinda weird, but a kid grew fingers back using a lot of herbal remedies, they weren't perfect but good enought to use, it was pretty neat.
i have heard of this and whats even more interesting is that alot of the herbal remedies actually work for alot of things
Yes Death is inevitable. I believe in reincarnation. Our body is just our earth suit. While we are here for this life span. I believe when we die our spirit awaits a new life - wether it be human or animal, unsure - I just know the laws of physics state "no energy can be created nor destroyed." That said, I don't know about the portals, however I also think maybe it could be possible.
Okay, there's got to be a youtube of someone growing their fingers back. If it's not on youtube, then did it really happen?
I'm definately going to die... I poison it every weekend
According to the Mayan Calendar the world is suppose to end in the year 2012 and everyone will no longer manifest in our physical form but turn into balls of light. We will still keep our memories but our physical form will no longer exist...
Please supply a link to your source, I have been looking for info on this claim base.
Not to crap on the End of the World Calendar... but, I guess I will -- Nostradamus said it, Pluto said it, the Mayans said it, the tabloids ALWAYS say it and yet -- I am still paying taxes every year. Nope. Not buying into the calendar.
Death, surprise, is inevitable. No realm-jumping, no sacrificial virgins/babies/animals/politicians/blind followers will evade it. Quantum physics leaves room for the possibility of a world made of licorice and crustaceans the size of cars -- that being said, theories don't make an actuality.
We're all on borrowed time. Enjoy it.
No, seriously, enjoy it!
Pretend doom is better then fictional doom the difference between the two? How good the writer is and the label fiction or non fiction. If I write a book that barly makes it in fiction, I can tweek it to be near non fiction. Doom prophasy is a dead horse.
It all depends on your direct timing. Death is inevitable in some instances other times its not. It all really depends on the timing of when the incident occurs and rather or not if you can see it coming.
the stages of death, i have witnessed a person die. I learned something that cornered my concept of death, whether you excpt it or not could make a difference.
I'm sorry, I don't understand what timing has to do with anything. Is the theory that we all have an expiration date, already or that we can avoid expiration based on our actions on a certain date? It seems to rank with looking both ways before one crosses the street to avoid becoming a hood-ornament ... and dying.
Death is inevitable. Why spoil the ending of a good story by trying to sneak peaks at the back of the book?
We live then We die, simple.
Seeing our death coming or the timing of it has nothing to do with the fact that in the end, we die.
If there was a way to stop death then I'm sure there'd be a few 1000 year old people walking around out there, but I highly doubt that.
We may infact live on in some sort of non physical way but cheating death, I don't believe so.
It seems pretty farfetched, if you ask me. I believe in portals and all, but actually being able to conjure one and keep it stable seems very unlikely.
To be attached to what you already went through would be like a trip to the same amusement park over and over... not very aluring to me... but maybe because boxes .. no matter how big they appear or whether they have glass sides have attracted me, except for what i imagined them to be. Castles, Space Shuttles, coffins.ect.
I have been thinking about death a lot lately because i lost my mother to cancer this january and I have desided that it is not something to fear it doesn't matter what you belief system is death should not be feared. Some think you are reborn so why fear coming back some believe to go to another plane of some sort and that is normally a good thing so why does everyone fear death or try so hard to prolong either lives on earth
Science has shown that the moment you reach 25ish, your cels stop reproducing and thus you start dying. So yes, death is inevitable, unless of course you find away to keep those cels living and reproducing.
Death is a mystery...
Entropy is consistent
Any Body Who
Tells you if you stay
Healthy, you will live forever Lied
It is just a legend born from our fear of what happens, as well as our desire to live forever.
My belives are that the soul can live on, but the human body will give up eventually and that is a matter of fact, it has been happening for the past 4000 years or so.
All I have to say is...duh..of course death is inevitable.
It happens all the fucking time.
Wether we want it to or not.
One can not stop the power of death no matter how hard one tries to avoid it.
but I do have to agree with Lord Mayze.
As some would have you share their views to strenghten their faith, some times resorting to trickery to appear to conect grieving people to the otherside. I would like to by pass the structured belief, will I (in the life after death be prone to long to reconnect with this existence personally i would not think that desirerable to have to be at the becon call of my surviviors.
Portals back to life would to me involve the ability through dissassociation to separate the conciousness from the body, and possess it to another body, I would think it interesting to die in the presence of someone in a coma to see if like in K-Pax the Movie be inhabited by an unsqrabbled concious
Yes...you will all die, even if you are reborn or reincarinated...in the end, we all go back to the earth.
ashes to ashes....dust to dust.
Inevitable?
Short answer: yes, it is.
Even if you manage to push the envelope, you won't escape entropy. In other words: you'd have to get of the planet before it dies ... some goes for the universe ...
So it's a futile exercise trying to cheat death. Just accept it.
Death is not a mystery, that is what autopsies are for, what comes next is that part is not on the table to study.
Don't remember ever being ashes or dust - ever. Thats nonsense. There is an advance Tantra technique that will let you open worlds or even to release your soul before your body dies. But the body will die, it has to, never meant to live very long. How anyone can actually believe in a non-existence death is beyond me. Maybe they like surprises.
Death is only a begining to another life, I don't think we really cease to exsist , we have a whole nother world, so as we may have to die in our Human form, our spirit fprm continues to live on, so is death inevitable? yes and no.
Death is inevitable, even for vampires. :)
But, death is not the end. Death is a time of reflection upon what we've done in our past life, or lives... and what we will do better in the future. This is where our subconscious comes from. We think it is naturally present, but really, it is something we thought in an astral sense years ago.
Death, though, will always come. It is a cycle we can never break.
Utahvamp: Exciting news! BBc reported a man regrowing a finger --- an old man.
Here's how it works:
Extracellular matrix
The body dies, and should. It can't last forever. But if you believe in an afterlife or an everlasting soul or being. That death is just a transition to another state, and only the body dies, not the soul.
I'm not sure about this. If extracellular matrix, also called "pixie dust," can be used to physically regenerate missing parts, why can't it be used to enliven "aging" parts?
It's being used on veterans to try and regenerte burnt skin and lost parts.
This is for Dabbler... here is a website that explains the Mayan Calendar and their ideas.

No it isn't. That is like there is no such thing as reincarnation. Or let me put it this way...
I do NOT believe in it. I think we each have a certain amount of time on earth, then that is it. This is just my opinion.
Being an engineer, I usually need some form of proof or backup to believe in something.
Having experienced the joy of death first hand, I can truely say that dead is dead, and there is not much more to it, except for the memories of the person who has passed that is preserved within the minds of their surviving loved ones.
But they too will eventually die, and with them, the death of the memory of their loved ones.
progressing onto something after this, to something closely resembling this existence, Where is the motivation to die in that. Redundant Existance... no thanks, I will slip out the back door of that heaven.
Using a portal, but not to get back here, I aim farther to the Horizon and Beyond. If we cling to the possibility that someone can reconnect with us, we must assume that we will long for connection on the "other side". That we will a spirits seek portals to interact with those left here. Do I need to attach all that to the beyond, no thanks ?
Agreed. The body is like a shell for the soul. Or as I like to put it. That is just me...... But true, it will die off.
You can not stop death, everyone dies, at lest there bodies do.
depends on people religions.... the way you see death is the way you have been instruct about or believe in... when you face death, your thoughts can change...
As Singularity said in his first post, everything that is born must die as well.
Who says that death means you cease to be? And who says that "opening another portal" keeps you from dying? Your body still dies. I really don't see how this makes sense...
Losing your house is inevitable, yet does that mean you are going to be on the street with all your possessions? Hopefully you have some idea of people that have houses. If not a hotel or camping.
I know it may be a thin analogy but, they seem to work in sermons...
Yes death is inevitable. Every thing that is born, dies.
A very good point and I quote from WinterRose.
Death is only a begining to another life, I don't think we really cease to exsist , we have a whole nother world, so as we may have to die in our Human form, our spirit fprm continues to live on, so is death inevitable? yes and no.
Well this thread has been fun :) I think it is also about personal beliefs in a way and being Christian I take faith that there is life after death.
