Is there such a thing as over feeding on someone's energy? Can it be a chronic thing, as when someone gets addicted to feeding on energy and they don't realize when they do it any more?

It's possible...like when it becomes an all-consuming addiction, where the want overrides the need?

Very possible, to overfeed, to endulge on the energy of others to the point where it is an addiction one can not turn away from.

I do not believe a vampire can over feed, yet it may lead to mindless bloodlust and violence.

Of course you can overfeed on somebodies' energy! It can be very dangerous for the person you are feeding on. You could make them pass out or get sick due to weakening their body.

My best friend sifoned me to the point I almost passed out - it was pretty unerving. We have made sure not to repeat the situation. You yourself can also get ill from feeding and even take on the other person's traits (emotions, etc...) If you do not take the extra measure of grounding an neutralizing the energy you are taking in.

I agree that you can overfeed. Some people just keep taking for the sheer thrill of it. Not realizing that not only are they hurting themselves but also the person they are feeding from.

i think the question is: how do you know what is enough and what is too much?

i've personally never had "too much" but have known people who have and they say it's not a pleasant feeling.

I think it is possible to over feed, which can lead to two things either the donor gets so drained out he or she get sick, weak and needing to restaure his or her energy.

As for the feeder well it can do either make you sick or all upside down resulting in sickness.

Kind of like over eating at a buffet

LOL I agree. LOL In the years I have feed off of the energy of life, I have yet to consume too much that I became ill. Though I will admit to a time of addiction and driven hunger where it overpowered logical reasoning. But I have never become ill. More like a drug induced high. Its the crash afterwords that brings the discomfort. LOL As for knowing when to quit. It just takes time and error to determine the limits of each individual. >;]

Obsession and Addiction: It’s not unheard of for a vampire to get addicted to not only blood/energy, but the donor’s emotional qualities as well. If the vamp-donor relationship ends the vampire may experience withdrawal symptoms not unlike those experienced by a drug addict when they stop taking a drug. As a result the vampire can get obsessed with the donor.

Once vampires overload on energy, there can be a reversal of behavior patterns. They may become morose, silent, withdrawn and introverted.

I honestly think that one can feed too much but I do believe when your body or energy has had enough it will let you know by getting sick or something else. Over feeding be harmful to both parties as it has been said by several in here so far.

If the were use to over feeding and then slowed down I believe that they would be hunger till there body became use to the new amount of energy they were taking in.

i overfed on blood once and got really violently sick. it wasn't fun. but on energy i've never over fed. i guess it's because i don't really take a lot of energy from people. i don't even do it often. i'm pretty picky i'll only do it when the person has an excess of energy or when i'm severely down.

changing in a vampiric way, you mean? as in an awakening? i don't know about an aura being transmitted to the person but it could be a possibilty. i've known people that had symptoms of an early awakening from being around vampiric people. it could happen.

its very normal to be scared during an awakening. some people get very scared, others don't get scared at all. it all depends on the person, i guess. as to the feeding aspect of it, just slowly walk him through it because it can be a little daunting the first time you do it yourself.

yes,

if you feed to much especially off of one type of emotion you will overfeed and get sick.

like lets say you fed off of someone who was depressed and all the sudden you started feeling sad, well the more you drink the rougher it gets, the sadder you get its not fun lol

i think it more becomes second nature than an addiction, you know you can feed but it will get to the point where youll get a craving and automatically feed

Eventually, one might even have to consider consuming entire worlds to satiate one's palette.

I think you can over feed of a person when you take more then they can spare. if you begin to affect their energy level then you are taking to much. Most people have more then they need to survive but if you take from them to much you affect how they feel. Kinda like zapping someones strength.

It's possible to "over feed" on anything, heck you can drown yourself by drinking water.

When it comes to over feeding on energy I would imagine the effects to be, heightened anxiety, euphoria, tunnel vision, nausea, increased heart rate and other similar symptoms.

I do believe feeding on the same person for energy vamps has a damaging effect from the byproduct we produce especially a Kheperu caste. We need three sorts to complete a circuit if you will and endless energy feeds. With out that a snack on the train will make the victim fall asleep or sick and yourself will build with a by product, just like eating in the streets of Vietnam, you just hope it’s clean, and not surprised when your sick lol

I don't generally feed TOO much, but I've taken more than I needed on a number of occasions. I do it a lot when I'm angry and feeling aggressive. I've never taken it to the point of being sick (except when I fed on negative energy to help a friend), but I've gotten a slight high from it that wore off after a few minutes. Thus far, it hasn't been addicting.

i am not sure on the whole idea of one overfeeding. to me there is always some out side force in nature that draws the power one takes from his or her donor. so i would think in order to keep ones self in a balance would be about the only way to keep one from feeling drained. but thats just my thoughts on the matter.

We're talking, actually, about what would happen if someone over fed on energy.

I think it would be most dangerous when you feed too much from ONE INDIVIDUAL.
Probably overfeeding in general is just greed and less dangerous than the constant drainging of one person.

Over feeding of anything exist, over feeding of information and knowledge to our brain results in head pain, over feeding our ears with music ends up in pain in our ears, over feeding our eyes with light ends up in...you get the idea.

So overfeeding of energy is the same.

Yes you can over feed on energy. It can be dangerous to the person you are feeding from. Yes it can be addicting if you can not control yourself.

And yes you can be feeding on some one and not even know it until it's done. But if you have control over your craving for energy then that won't happen.

i have never overfed on sang myself but i do think that is a possibility if one is being sloth while partaking from their donor,i would imagine being ill would have the effect of one needing to regergitate the sang along with other bial.

You can get addicted to anything mentally, but I'm not sure if you can get physically addicted to it. All in all, it's just important to pace yourself.

I am not certain about becoming addicted to feeding off energy, I know that I can feed off of others energy and sometimes not realize that I am doing so. I would think that there is a line when over feeding is involved and not neccessarily(sp) addiction.

Too much of anything can have adverse effects. How much is too much varies by individual. In the case of energy you will likely deplete your donor before you overfeed, unless you feed from multiple donors at once or in succession.

Yes, you can feed too much. Although it may not effect you, it will, however, effect the person you are feeding from leaving them drained & very dizzy. I think you have to be one with your donor & know when enough is enough. And the donor should be able to tell you when to stop & you should respect that & stop.

I don't think you can get addicted from over feeding, can you? From anyone over eating there are more things like stomach pains that can result.

I hear it's like a "high" when one feeds from another too much so it becomes as an addiction which is really dangerous to the person not aware of it or how to protect themselves. I have felt something like that myself emotionally getting a "high" feeling, so I can understand that those who know how to control such energies may tend to overfeed.

Given that addiction is a lack of control, I would say that which has been stated before. An addiction to psy-energy is plausible, as is the addiction to breathe, to eat and drink, etc. It takes a lot of willpower to overcome an addiction. It took me over a year to stave off caffeine. Thankfully I never continued smoking when I was a teen. My dad quit cold-turkey after having smoked for over 40 years of his life. Now that is dedication, but still the weakened state of his health due to the smoking made me realize I made a wise choice.

So an addiction to human energy might not be problematic to the one taking the energy, however, the victims might take the brunt of the effects of the drain.

there are some people that are compulsive over eaters, there is also a medical condition that can cause this where your body never tells you that you are full so you always feel like you are starving. The ones that get addicted psychologically to over eating usually do it in response to stress. In a lot of cases it takes the form of binge eating and not everyone that binges purges afterwards.

Compulsive eating and addiction are two different things. Just because someone over eats a lot doesn't make them addicted. Probably just have no self control.

Overfeeding does happen, especially when one side of the equation can't or will not shut off the flow of energy. My problem with sharing energy is that the person I share with the most often pulls on my energy threads all the time. There is no letup. The only time they're not feeding on me is when both of us are shielded tighter than Fort Knox, and even then the pull is still there. Even when my partner is sated and requires nothing more, he still pulls on m energy leaving me very weak a god portion of the time.

Oh, I most definitely think that one can get addicted to feeding off of others' energy. Look at movie stars and musicians. Do they not get addicted to feeding off the energy of their adoring public??? Look at the popular kids in school. Same thing. They get addicted to the good energy that comes to them from all the people that admire them.

Just my two cents. :)
