I have had some really unusual things happen to me in this one house i lived in..
Walking down stairs there is this "spot" that always made me want to hurry past it and I could often times smell foods cooking that I wasn't cooking, ie pancakes,and a meat sauce like spaghetti
jodi and shawn sometimes heard a voice whispering out their names in the same house.. well one night i was in bed and I hadn't fallen asleep yet, when all of a sudden something landed so hard on my chest that it pushed all the air out of my lungs.. I couldn't breathe I couldnt speak and i could not move so I screamed in my head for it to leave this place and it didnt so i screamed in the name of the lord Jesus leave this place and all of a sudden the weight lifted and i could breath and move and I woke up Sandy(my x of 18 yrs) and he thought i was full of sh--.

nothing like that has ever happened to me since but i moved shortly there after and we were buying that house..JJ

Never had a bad experience with any ghosts. Because my belief is if you do not acknowledge their presence, they cant hurt you.

that could be true if you dont put in energy into something It cannot come back yo you>?? sounds good to me..JJ

yes BLOODLIFE I did and come to find out 1,2, and 3rd ave S. in Burien Washington were all built on old indian Burial grounds!

I've seen a ghost very faintly just after my daily mediation, my master told me to think nothing of it... He said he can see ghosts on a regular basis, and though he's also seen spirits, he thinks spirits are harder to find that anything.

when I was 14 yrs of age I was living with my father and step mom at the time and the apartment that we all shared had the spirt of my stepmom friend in it who had killed herself from way back I was so scared I wasnt able to sleep nights

before that had happened one night sandy and I and my 2 sons then children
were downstairs whatching movies when this "river " of cold air about ankle high started flowing through the basement, well basements are known for drafts.. but then both sandy and I staed to see what id describe as "ripples" in the air kinda like the movie predator where we could olnly actually see the spirits when they were dancing around the rooms permidtor

When my cousin died at age 16 of bone cancer and she lived with us her last year alive nad mom and I took her to all her chemo and radiation treatments .. I was about 6 when she passed she stayed in my room while she was with us ..the doctor said if they amputated her leggs she might live she said no way any way the day of her funeral when we got back from it I went into my room and my little red tap dancing shoes did a little dance with no one in them.. i think it was thereasa letting me know she was ok now...:)

its my turn aagin to share in 1996 my uncle had past away from bone cancer I had no I dea that he was dying because I was very ill myself and I ws facing a very dangeous surgery and that he made my aunt mary promise not to tell me so she said ok when I was in in the hosptial for 2 monthes maybe 3 not sure I began to sense that some thing was horribly wrong i started to have night mares for 3night in the dream I was in a church I saw a coffin some thing told me that I knew this man so I went to the coffin i saw no face the next night I had the same dream I saw robbin willims and bunch of actors that this man knew as I continued the dream I saw a phone in I could not under stand what going well the next night I saw my uncle spirit sitting on my bed pointing to the phonr the nex morning the phone rang on the other of was my aunt crying telling me my uncle Had pasted I was so shocked that I droped the phone and the doctors had to come in and drug me up cause didnt say good by to my beloved uncle and to this day I still cry thinking of him

When me and my son moved back into my parents house, i believe there were 3 ghost that watched over my son, he has many health problems, and i believe there was a little boy he would play with, a dog, and the little boys mother that watched over him at night till his health got a bit better, plus my son has many spirit orbs around him i have seen them on video and on my digital cam.

Countess i am sorry you didnt get to say good bye to your uncle maybe that was his way of making it so with you??

My mate's father Bill was dying of cancer, and we knew he wasn't long for this world. The last time I saw him alive, he held my hand during a prayer his brother said, and after the prayer, Bill held my hand, and wouldn't let it go. I smiled at him, and just held his hand, and he smiled back, with a tear in his eye. I think he knew then it wouldn't be long, and he wanted to have a moment with me, as he had with others in his family. When we left, I cried, the emotions I felt were so incredible.

One night about 3 days later, I went to sleep, and I woke up not being able to breathe, I could barely catch my breath; my heart was pounding, and it felt like my throat was closing up on me. I looked at the clock, and it was 4:30 a.m. I couldn't relax at all, I felt like my body was shutting down. After what seemed like forever, my body relaxed, and I felt like I could sleep forever.

I woke up two hours later to go to work, and right before I left, we got a phone call. His father had passed away at 4:30 a.m., he had struggled for breath, and then crossed over.

He had passed some of his spirit to me while holding my hand that day, I know it. I think he was giving approval of me being in his family.

I loved him greatly, and miss him very much

*nodding* I only knew him for a year, but he and I bonded in a way I didn't expect, and I feel his presence with me at times; I don't tell my mate, because he doesn't understand that side of me, and doesn't always believe in the spirits and other such things *sighing*

I've had a few issues with them like clawing at me and stuff theres a whole story behind it but yeah

those were all awesome stories..i never saw anything like that.....but a few times my dad has come to me in dreams..and i know he watches out for me always

The Crushing Spirit that you felt is very real and next to common .there are some who think it medical and they have been unable to explain it medically .When i had my encounter there was an acompanying arrerition a kind of hazy space suit outline figure and others i have spoke to and compared notes with mention this as well though few have seen the apperition with the Crushing spirit the other thing in common is the recent death of a loved one.i am.Continued research by a British Paranormal group is on going for this subject.I am still hearing acounts of Crush Ghost Encounters.Mast say right after they "think"to speak it goes away.My voice wanted to yell but i wanted to breath.

When you enter an area that has a "bad karma-print" or a lingering spirit, you have the power to "cleanse" the area or release the spirit if you care to.

Some places this can be very hard depending what is abnormal to that area of the plain. Some as easy to speak to the one that lingers and allow them peace.

It sounds to me when the house was built it stirred up something ..

The pressure on your chest could be a travelling vampire saying hello.The cancer wards are terrible, if you want to see a spirit leaving the body thats the place to go.Have had the holding of hand experience, strangely reassuring.

A native American Shaman I know talked to me on the phone about going through a "act' of cleansing but it entailed him fasting and cleansing of his own mind and body extensively.. first.. and we never did get to it before I moved out and never went back...

And the crushing thing ... I could not get a breath to speak or scream out loud thats why the screaming for it to leave took place in my head.. it litterally crush ALL the air out of my chest and I couldnt get a breath to speak till it lifted and I couldnt move my body AT ALL...;(JJ

i personally havent seen any ghost, nor had any trouble, i personally think that if there are ghost that they are just spirits with unfinished business

wow thats cool.. my old house that i grew up in was hunted by by mums mum. i would wake up everynight at nidnight to the radio on loud and pots and pans banging. when i think about it still i get the goose bumps.

I have a spirit who lives in my house and protects my children and myself. She watches over us and protects us from harm.

When I was a kid the house we lived in was haunted. Every now and then things would fly off the benches when the were at the back of the bench. I even saw a ghost/shadow of a young girl once. No one in our family was ever attacked but we did learn a old man died in the kitchen of the house were everything seemed to happen.

I actually live in a house (in OR) where a couple had "issues" the husband was cheating, she nearly killed him ...keep in mind, I didn't learn this till I was older. But I sleep in the room where the wife slept alone, and man, crazy noises, even before I knew of the story (both are dead now...old house, but still..even during the i hate being in my room alone when I don't have to be).

When i lived on Harstine Is by the communuty hall my friend and I were sitting in my car when we noticed that they were having a costume party at the hall... all these people dressed in top hats and the men had walking sticks and the ladys were in hooped dresses with parcels
..any hoo, we got out of the car and were watching them trying to figure out what was going on and a couple was motioning us to come over , they were whispering back and forth and laughing as they waved us over..well we taked and decided to go check it out as we got closer it was like a fog rolled in outa no where and we got closer yet and by the time we got within 40 feet of them they became transparent or less substance is the best way I can describe them and we got about 30 feet and they just dissapeared along with the parking lot full of people... we kept it to ourselves but to this day 10 years later him and I still reminiss about that peculiar night...

i ve lived in, been numerous places that have that underlying something that can not be explained.. but rarely have i been anywhere that felt negative. or negative enough to make me want to leave or avoid it

I work in a hotel that is haunted. I haven't actually had the pleasure of seeing any ghosts but I do get messed with by them. Every floor is different for me. On the 2nd floor I only usually feel like someone is watching me. No matter where I go on that floor I feel like im being watched. The 3rd floor is where I have all the fun. The spirits have moved things around after I've set stuff up. They have continuously knocked stuff off the cleaning cart. I've felt drafts of cold air. I actually feel someone in the room with me. I know it sounds strange but I talk to them. On the 4th floor its bad. I get drained of energy the whole time I am up there. I can't stay up there long before I feel completely dead on my feet. I am still hoping that one day they will show theirselves to me, but I may not be one of the people that are in a sence allowed to see them.

I get pics of orbs and chaotic feelings from places...

My house has spirits in it but they have noy done anything to show themselves to me

the spirits of the dead are all around us you be good to them and they will be good to you

Interesting. I've seen an orb at one time and told it to leave me alone but nothing as what you saw.

THe only one I have any experience w/is my guardians and they are not a very scary bunch of guys...Lmao. I guess they COULD be, but they never have been to me...

One of the things that could have really hurt me bad ..or even killed me that was unexplained was this..

In my 31 ft RV i lived in it at the time.. i had a old fashioned phone on the wall the kind that the ear piece was on like a cord and you talked into the phone mounted on the wall in a big black mouth piece..

Every time Id go to walk OUT the door it felt like some one put thier hand on the side of my head and would push my head ,,Hard,, into that phone...

everyday several times a day.. well thelast time before i moved out of it and into a house on the beach there,,

It pushed my head like usal and there was no avoiding it the phone was on the wall right as you go out the door.. it hit so hard this time that I went down to my knees..and at that time Sandy was sitting on the couch and we were the olny ones in the rv.. a huge Boew house speaker HEAVY wood speaker with 18 speakers in side of the one heavy wood case came flying off the brsakfast bar and landed on the floor RIGHT behind me just missed my head I was holding in my hands down on my knees... that was the scariest thing..most phisical..that ever happened that I could never explain or understand...

I’m not positive the term or name often used for the type of spirit that climbs onto your chest in the night; however I have been told they are female. Let me see if I can describe the ordeal. It begins with an odd ringing in your ears that suddenly becomes louder, the room becomes very dark and chills fill your body. It is then that you can often hear it coming towards your bed, slowly crawling up onto you until its weight paralyzes your body, you can't move scream, breath, and yet you are fully aware of your surroundings and the utter terror of your heart pounding. Science and the medical field have created their own explanation of this occurrence of course, due to the fact so many have experienced it. I have experienced it since I was very young, I know that if I could force my eyes open and overcome the fear I would be looking into the eyes of a creature words could never describe. You’re not crazy, but do be careful, I would not wish the experience on anyone.

I have lived in several houses that had spirits that were trapped there by evil things that happened to them there. they are very unsettling to encounter them at times.

Well I have stayed with my granny and her house was so big I loved it I always got creeped out by it this house is like 100 years old or more and my grandpa died in it no telling how many others died before him in there. Anyways me and my sister would have separate rooms, well I was laying there just thinking because being in a different house I usually can't sleep, I heard something like a creeking of the floor so I got up and went out in the hall I saw nothing so I went to get me something to drink I started to walk back when at the end of the hall I saw someone or something it was lingering outside my room I ran in my sisters room and jumped in bed with her. She woke up I told her everything she investigated the room nothing and to this day I still do not know what it is, but everytime since that night I have went to that house I feel a strange feeling almost like someone is there like I felt when I saw that whatever it was.

I have lived in several houses that contained spirits but for the most part if you ignore them they will ignore you. At least that was the case for me.

i hada run in with a spirit entity at one point recently...i wrote about it on a thread here titled malicious spirits.....anyway i got rid of it a differant way.....

i have them in my house i live in they pretty much dont bother us to much just once in awhile they let us know they are here lights go out tv goes off ect i also just found out why my bedroom seems to be filled with energy my daughter just decided to tell me her and her friend played the oujaboard in my room which explains why it is so cold sometimes we see our breath even with the heat on plus i have senced a new presence in my room which i havent felt before just not sure what yet

Just reading this thread gives me the chills. The house I grew up in had a basement where I had my bedroom and every time I would go down I had this overwhelming sense that someone was watching me. It just had this intense feeling of evil. I always left the lights on. I think your moving was a good idea, sometimes I have heard of evil spirits following you to your new place of residence though.

Sitting on the couch one night a shadow moved across the entire living room wall. no cars outside, or anything moving in the house to cause a shadow. It was pretty cool.

The last house I lived in had a ghost in it. He DEFINATLY made himself known to my mom and I (her fiance could not sense anything like that no matter what it was.) We lived in the house for over 2 years and after comunicating with him enough we found out that he is actually related to us. We are his direct descendants and his name (I believe) was Jacques Denoyon. He wouldn't elt us ask him because he said that when the time was ready all he would need to cross over was for us to tell him his name, but that he still had business to do. A LOT of things happened in that house over that time. It taught me a lot... before then i believed in ghosts and even had seen one but I hadn't taken them very seriously. Howevere Jack (thats what I called him... that was in the earlier stages when I decided to give him a name cuz my frined does that to ghsots she meets and she thinks it makes them feel more like they are here... or at least noticed.) I had tried to guess his real name.... lol no wonder I didn't guess it right to begin with, his real name was French. But hey, at least I got it close on the account that Jack is Jacques in English.

I could tell you many stories about Jack but this would be a very long post lol so I won't.

At first he tried to scare me... I don't think he knew who I was, because I KNOW the moment that he realized who I was because I could just FEEL him thinking and suddenly feeling really bad.

But in the end he was a really nice ghost that was very protective of me and if either me or my mom had a migraine somehow all of the ringers on the phone would be turned off. It had to be him because I know my moms fiance didn't.... he always freaked when It happened. I didn't do it and mom didn't cuz when we had migraines we spent all of that time in the darkest area we could find.

Man I miss the smell of someone baking fudge though... (I know that sounds strange but I did smell things cooking in my room, which is were he liked to be most of the time, it was always some sort of dessert it seemed lol... makes no sense to me)

WOW that's what I have to say aount that would u call this your first encounter with The Lord? what made u call out his name? have u ever prayed to him before that night has this experince brought u closer to Him believeing in Him?

did u ever think it was a past life experince? u said it happend in while u were asleep then after u said "in the name of jesus..." it went away so do u think it could have been a past life experince? or do u think it really happend? or perhaps u experinced a tangible dream?

I have had many paranormal experiences. The best come through my ability to see spirits.

I have learned to ignore them for the most part. They usually mean no harm but if they do - I am more than a match for them.

I have several experiences but most of them have been feelings.... none of my ghosts really appeared to me.... your experience is odd I haven't heard of things that sit on people's chests... I take that back there is one thing but I can't remember it's name... but in another culture there is a ghost that will whine and moan and be all bit--- if you invite it in it kills by suffocation... by sitting on the person's chest.... I can't remember fully what all it does but I thought it might help you to find some type of answer!

I had one experiance with a ghost I saw it at my aunts house it was coming out of an empty room they have it looked straight at me and went through me

I have had a similar happening to myself. And Its weird as i saw someone say that they cant hurt you if you dont acknowledge there pressece.

i havent had any odd exsperiences like that although the rumor was that some old lady was killed in the bathroom of one of the houses i was living in

The lady who used to live there died. Things would "fly off the walls. noise of feet on stairs till one day I got mad and yelled we are staying here like it or not. It worked. Peace afterwards.

my experience with a ghost is when my grandmother came to me and westarted talking and my body sat up while still sleeping and started laughing.immediately afterwards i layed back down and started to sleep easy.

I too have had WAY to many experiences to put them all here. We will just put it this way....the appartment building I now live in, was converted into an apartment building, it used to be an insane assylum.......enough said.

I cant say that I have any dealings with ghost. I know my youngest brother has but he never got hurt by it

I agree with the first post. But I also think that a ghost really can't harm you at all. Just frighten the snot out of you. I believe demons are what can do harm.

If the house wasn't cleansed or blessed that may have had something to do with it.


My house has never been blessed. I fear that some day we might encounter a ghost.


However, the only place ghost related around here is an old hospital a few towns over that is somewhat haunted.

There's also the possibility the spirit is too strong for blessing of the home to hold it back. I wouldn't doubt things like that being possible.

what i am wondering is why my ghost just showed up on the day i moved in and never showed since..

there are a few in her house. they show only every once in a while to remind her of their presence. they do not show all the time.

There is houses like that when I go in, I can't walk certain places or I feel bad and feel like I am being pushed watch or even held back, also I can't enter cemetairies I tried but can't, I get chest pain, trouble breathing I feel dizzy and sick.

I can't go to the funeral home, it makes me all weak like I am filled with so many emotions and taughts, with even at times images and voice not mine, like whipsers hard to understand unaudible.

So I assum it is depending on the fact if you are able to conect or not with the paranormal real and its creatures.
