I received this from a friend and was wondering what you all thought about this possibility:

"I live by a forest and I tend to take night walks barefoot through it
quite often and when I'm walking on the trail or looking at the sky
through the trees, I feel energy being almost...pushed or forced up
into my legs and through my body. I get really euphoric and excited
for a reason I don't even understand. I know it has significance for
me. I was awakened nearly 6 months ago and I thought I had it figured
out to some degree. I am a Sanguinarian Vampyre. That much I did know
and now all of this? Has anyone heard of anything like an
Sanguinarian/ Elemental Vampyre?"

I don't know about an elemental vampire, but I would suggest that your friend is possibly energy-sensitive, and if this is new to them, it might just be that one awakening has triggered either a new awareness or an awakening of other gifts related to energy.

Well I am not so sure I do know of people who do stuff like that and walk through the forest and feel energies.

yep... elemental vamps get energy from nature... like storms and trees ect... I know because I am one. During thunder storms I feel the most exhilerating feeling... it's the energy is being pushed into me and I can breath it in so easily... vs other sources.

Since the person lives in the woods they may not even need to drink blood like the sangs do and could completely replace it with the energy the forest brings them. Especially if they take a walk every day.

For me, I also get the same sensation while near any decent sized body of water. It works to some degree with small ones but the feeling I get from large bodies of water is just... it is almost as great as thunderstorms.

Elemental Vampires feed off of natural phenomena like ightning storms, thunder storms, hurricanes, ley lines, waterfalls or natural events. trees can be another source of energy as well as wooded areas ect. sounds like an awakening that they are going through.

This last summer an old big tree was cut down near my house... I rememebr the moment I stepped outside my door I sort of stood up straight and tried to figure out what had happened because I could sense it. What came into my mind what the confused question 'tree?' because it is a tree that I always felt strong energy coming from every day when I walked past it. The energy was the same... for those who don't know a lot of things have thier own kind of energy and it IS possible to differntiate some of them.. if there is anything specific about that particular things energy. (Meaning that one person has a different type/kind of energy as another... which is why i choose to not go near some ppl. It is the same with trees. Nothing is exactly the same, just similar to a point. Just like the way you and I look.)

The main part of this thread that I am trying to get to is that since the tree was cut down it was losing it's energy at an incredable rate and every time I walked by it for 3-4 days after I got what you might call a high because it was so strong.

Then the tree died and I realized that I had been depending on the tree a little bit every day and needed to adjust how much energy I am taking in from other places. Because after it died I suddenly was so tired every day that I could not funtion very well untill I adjusted the energy income.

That can be what it means to be an elemental vamp. You may not realize how important that rly old big tree is untill it's dead. While normaly people will not get effected by a tree getting cut down at all.

What your friend was feeling, was the natural currents of the energies going through him/her. They were not nessessarily feeding off the elementals, but more so of taking them in. Much like you would being empathic of animals around you. The energies they give off, are not keeping you alive with sustanance, but energizing you for certain purposes such as clarity.

All awakenings have this ability. It has nothing to do with "feeding". When your friend is walking in the forest, his/her awareness levels sky rocket since they are taking in all the energies of the forest. This is another reason why most rituals/rites are done on natures doorstep.

What I respond to is the wind before a storm... It has a special sort of power to it, and it's like I live from one storm to the next, waiting for that energy. Not all storms have the right energy, sadly, and it's been a long time since I've felt that euphoria. If it's the right energy, I feel healthy and energized for days! Inflammation and pain levels go down and eveything! ~sighs~ I REALLY need that kind of wind energy!

i haven't heard of it, but i believe that people can pick up enegies when they are around certain elelments

I do not agree with the term 'elemental vampire' but do agree with gathering energy and sensing energy from the elements. I am a dark pagan and a witch to whom energy gathering, storage, and transference are natural. I do not feed off these energies but hold them for use in ritual and simple spellcastings. I do not classify my self as any kind of energy vampire but a magickal practitioner who can and does feel the effects of the energies as the move through me as highs and lows in my personal energy.

Elemental Vampires feed off the energies of nature. Thunderstorms, Lightning. The changes in weather can be a major energy source.

Is a elemental vamp the same as a psy vamp since they both trade energy??

When I was a kid, I'd sit out on the swing set during an electrical storm. I wanted to be struck by lightening. No such luck, but it was exciting.

Still like heavy weather, especially driving in it.

Great post, Makes we wonder like HP lovecraft and other story tellers tell of power or energy among all things on earth. Even mother earth given off energy vibes. nocnamora, not allt he vamps are the same. You can think that if you want but I know as a fact that it is not so.

Elemantal vamps are just a type of psy vamps. They can still get energy from people but they normally have the best effect when they recieve energy from the elements. So I think (yes I could be wrong) that all elemental vampires are also psy vampires at least to a certain degree. The way that they take energy in is the same and they can still get it from people.

If there are any vamps out there who can get energy from the elements but not from people at all, I would love for them to speak up.

According to what I read, anyone can get off on the elements. That is, get charged. Elementals may derive a bit more, but only if they have done some aura work first. If it keeps you off the streets hunting blood, I say go for it.

darkchyld, thank you, that was an interesting viewpoint. I however can gather energy from solar fire element sources as well. It was very useful in the Middle East for day time spell work.

I think that just about anybody can do this... they just don't realize it. It's really a very simple thing to do, just not always simple to explain. The links did a decent job at explaining how to do it. I think after you've been doing it for a while you start to do it a different way, but that would be a good way for some people to realize that they can do it I think.

I have talked to a few other people who also store and use it for spells ect. It's not all that uncommon when I look at how people I talk to that practice magic and use them method.

I think that one must have that awareness of energies all around.. I often recharge by sitting and watching the ocean.. meditating.. taking it all in. people can find energy all over.. they don't have to be specific.. learning not to drain one source alone.

Sounds like some sort of extra sensory perception to me. A lot of people can sense lifes energies around them, not all can do anything with what they sense.

WE all need to draw energy from somewhere. That's pretty cool. I never experienced anything like that personally.

no bloodxcreep, I don't think it is a new thing.... because it's something that is just natural. just like psy vamps drain people... that is something that was just built in also.

that means that you can feel the flow of energy that courses thru every living being and mother earth herself. a good course in Energy Work would teach you to harness and use those energies in a positive and meaningful way.

I think some people are more sensitive to the energy around them including environmental and emotional. I have always said that I am very "affected" by other peoples emotions and even the weather .... didn't really think much of it, but perhaps there is a reason for that. I think that the walk through the forest after being "awakened" may have just felt more intense because he/she was more aware of the energy around him/her. Possible?

Reiki is a simple way to start, i would suggest finding a bookstore and getting a book...true, although it primarily focuses upon the healing aspects of energy, it will teach you to center yourself and pull energy in from around you to give to another person.....

During a meditative state enhanced by mushrooms
and a cleansing of toxins the day before I witnessed an aura around the roots of a tree.I felt "static' around moss'.trying it with out the mushrooms or cleansing myself with only meditation I felt the static (slightly)

With just the cleansing and the meditation I saw a faint glow.

So I think your friend may have been in the right place at a magical moment.

a walk in the forest and feeling the forest's energies, as soulshroude has said, is not feeding. it has nothing to do with feeding.

why is this? because one does not feed unless there is a reason to. all beings can channel energy and move it to some degree. some of us are more sensitive towards it than others.

vampires, however, are a different story. they are not only sensitive to energy, but they REQUIRE to take it in in order to live a normal life. everyone always seems to forget that in the quest to be cool. living with an energy need is not always fun and those of us who do spend a goodly portion of time learning to control that need and regulate it.

we don't walk through the forest casually and enjoy the night energy and *poof* that makes us vampires. that being said, there are supposedly elemental vampires. they are a branch of psychic vampire, for they feed off energy just like all energy vampires. they just happen to prefer the energy of storms and nature, as has already been mentioned.

do you wish to know if you are a vampire? then block all energy consciously for a week or two or a month and find out if you get sick. not physically, but energetically sick. this leads ultimately to physical illness in most cases. but really, people, reality check yourselves and decide if you are just feeling it or if you really are. and remember, the mind is tricky.

we believe anything that makes us feel that we can cope better with the world around us. vampires, however, aren't doing it to feel better. we are doing it to exist in a manner that we aren't hurting others by subconsciously drawing energy. we are doing it to get to the level that most people naturally sustain. and those around us sometimes suffer the consequences if we are not careful and learn how to control this need.

Before I came to this site I was very depressed and soemwhat believed that i was a monster in a sense... I had noticed the energy flow and that sometimes I was taking in more than I wanted to at the time, because I felt like it was soemthing bad to do. So I did manage to amke myself stop for... I can't remember how long... but I got really weak and sick.

That is why I felt so interested in psy vampires once I had heard about them, because everything I had hear was right for me and the mroe I looked into it the more I realized it was me.

So for those that don't believe that it can make you sick trust me, it can. Those are the real vamps... and sangs get sick if they do not get a certain amount of blood... that's what true sangs are.

I agree with soulshroude, i feel the energys as a witch not a vampire you have empathic feelings for the nature around you.

I have been known to feed off of elemental energies (storms), and it is not uncommon.

What this friend is experiencing is the euphoria of taking in ambient energy-- perfectly safe, and not as much of an 'acquired' taste such as being sanguine-- which is actually a blessing in this day an age of STDs and other bloodborn diseases.

any creature can be an elemental it just takes control like any other power you seem to be more adapt to earth so you absorb it

I believe that an elemantal vampire can exist. I am a sang/psy vampire, and I use the elements quite often in what I do. I don't know if that would make me one, but I do have strong connections with fire and air.

If you think about it everyone on this planet derives energy from elemental forces. Just some know how to tap into these energy fields to collect more of it's power. Which is where the 'Elemental Vampire" came about. If correctly tuned to the elemental energy one can align and stabilize their prana.

Ever just sit on the beach and stare at the ocean for hours.? I know I have and after it left me feeling revitalized. I wouldn't consider this 'vampirism' just making use of my surroundings to better myself.

It could also be what that person element really is that they may feed from it. Like mine is ice and cold {also know as water}.

If you don't agree with elemental feeding then you would be disagreeing with a core belief of the community. Some feed elemetally and is nothing hidden and well known. Most are not just one feeding style. You can feed from anything that has energy and since everything is supposedly made of energy that would be one source.

I don't know how these misconceptions get started but Elemental, Blood, Sexual, Psychic energies, Emotional (Empathic) types of feeding are well known throughout the community. What she was experiencing could be spontaneous feeding of another type. It can be something else but only she will be able to find out. No one can really decide that or tell anyone about how they feed or what they are really. Its a personal journey. Some label all of these other types of feedings as merely under Psi. This is why I am adamantly against all labels of types of vampyrics it creates elitism. How you feed has nothing to do with what you may be...its just a feeding style, no more no less and sanguine feeders are a minority in all actuality.

This is my first time hearing of Elemental vampires...but that sensation that you've described has happened to many people that I know that work with energy...i.e. Reiki etc...:)

So overall a psy vamp is one who takes energy from a human and elmental vamp is one who takes from the elements.

i dunno if it pertains to "elemental vamps, but i can tolerate heat from flams more than anyone ive ever seen and i can manipulate fire to a certain degree though not much and i am a vamp so take it as you will

Many people claim to feel energy from the earth, and it wouldn't suprise me if a "vampire" could draw off this energy source.

Some feed exclusively on elemental events and forces,some just use the elements to suppliment their feeding until they find a donor or person to feed from.
Though typically the first seems more common.

Yes, elemental vampyres are possible. I have a couple of friends who are elementals. One being a Sang/Psi who feeds viva, blood, human/animal energy and elemental energies.
