We have all dreamed of it before, right? Fantasized about that one vampire that we want to spend forever with, that breathtaking being from our favorite book or film. Which vampire is it that you dream of? If you could spend eternity with one creature of the night, which would it be? And let’s say for the sake of argument that your dream vampire is single or without any previous companionship. It doesn’t even need to be a romantic partnership, but one of friendship and companionship. Out of all the books, shows and movies you have seen, which vampire among them would you choose to spend your forever with?
Is it a romantic eternity with The Twilight Saga’s Edward Cullen? Or perhaps it’s an intellectual forever with Anne Rice's Marius, traveling the world, reading old books and discussing philosophy. Or a wickedly hilarious and fun eternity with Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Maybe you want to spend your years hunting lycans with Selene from Underworld? There are so many vampires to choose from – who do you pick?
How about none of the above and just simply slaughter and feed on the herd for eternity while indulging into hedonism. Life is full of pleasure, an eternity means you can try them all.
*groan* Too many to choose from One day I'm a fan of the super sexy Viking Eric, then Into Mick St. John or Daruis from Christine Feehan's 'Carpathain' series...
can we have one for every day of the week? ;)
LOL... Looks like no one remembers Michael..
or in book 2... Calandra.
Hmmm...
No one gets into the Glen this Christmas...........
jannette from Forever Knight. She's gorgeous and has a sarcastic wit I can appreciate.

Sinistra- that is a great pick. *sexy growl*
And I will add Michael Easton as Caleb Morley.
Great choices, I especially love Julian Luna:) it was a real shame whhat happened to mark frankel:(
What about LaCroix to go with Jeanette? I would pick Nick Knight but he was way to depressing except for the 1st series.
I would love to be a vampire with a wicked sense of humor. If I have to live an eternity than I would like to laugh all throughout that time.
You'd love Vachon from Forever Knight then (3rd series), great character with an interesting history, wicked Humor, not to mention hot;)
When FK writers killed him off that was the death knell of the series for me.
a female vampire with long black hair and a deep cleavage who will absorbe me slowly
Not a particular vampire but lets geek out abit how about a clan for me its a toss up between Malkavian, Ravnos, or Gangrel.
and they fucked up white wolf canon with kindred the embraced. No Vinture should have Protian.
I choose none of them
Why you ask
Well because I have my own vampire living in my dreams and he's the one I want
Ahh but Kindred was only set in San Franciso, perhaps if the series continued the clans would have expanded ?
Damon Salvatore - Vampire Diaries (very interesting vampire of many moods)
they tryed to expand the clans but failed they turned the Nos in to the Tremare and the Brujha in to the Giovoni. Honestly the should have goten some Owbn players to write up the show and used there characters lol I know I would have love to seen my longest running malkavin in there lol.
Though a dampyre I would take Demetre from Vampire Academy
Or Edward from twilight
Or Alexander from Vampyre Kisses
Or the one I dream about.
I may choose Damian from Vampire Diaries. But only if we were talking about the show. If we were talking about the books, I'd choose Stephen. But, neither of them really fits the bill either. Perhaps a guy that can walk and crawl on the ceiling, scaring me awake. But he'd only scare me awake because he's hungry for some blood. And he wouldn't have the creepy black holes for eyes...well....maybe he would xD but they'd look cute like bunny eyes.
I choose to be my own Vampire. I don't need to model myself over mythical film characters. That might add to the fantasy, however, not the reality of why I am the lifestyle chosen.
I found two particular actors who did Dracula very appealing.
One was Frank Langella's version from 1979, and the other Gary Oldman's version from 1992. Both were equally erotic for me.
I would choose the born Vampires from Black Dagger Brotherhood books. These Vampires cannot be made (unless you have Vampire heritage but this is rare). There are strong, modern and compassionate warriors.
my favorite vampire was the one on Love at first Bite and of course anytime Vincent Price played one.
i'll take
Erika from Underworld
Alice from ...dare i say it - Twilight (movie version)
and
Helen from The Twins Effect (while she's vamped out)
I'll take Selene
reason being is cause she's strong, doesn't take shit from no one, and gets the job done. that's how it should be.
must say selen for she know what to do and yes she gets the job done and she also finds time for the one she loves
I would have to stick with the one I already have. The intellectual, sexy, amazing vampire that I already love.
I would take Jessie from Queen of The Damned, or Sonja from The Underworld saga.
Very good choices Nico .. Kate Beckensale from Underwrold yessssssssssssssss
Personally I like to run with the vampires on Lost Boys myself :)
Keifer was so Handsome as a vampire
I was also impressed with the portrayal of Drake in Blade 3 by Dominic Purcell. Very strong, showed the ugkiness of vampirism as well as the sexiness.
Hands hands down it would have to be Akasha The Queen of the damned. ..we would drink the world dry..our wedding would held in a red sea of blood and corpes...now that the stuff dreams are made of ...LOl
Hands down, Im in love with the character Gary Oldman portrayed in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Eternity wouldn't be long enough :)
Oooh Spike.. Lol When I was younger I was so into his spikey blonde bad boy, boybad dropout hair, then as I got older it became Angel. Then eventually the Salvatori brothers.
Nowadays, if anyone has read any Karen Chance novels, (The Cassie Palmer or Dorina Basarab series) It would have to be either Mercea Basarab, or Louise-Ceasar...
I`m more like Marius kind(Anne Rice) so I like that kind of eternity...
Imagine eternity. Given eternity everything that can be accomplished will be accomplished. Beyond all achievements there would be only limitless, pointless, existence.
100
The first hundred years may be possible,
1000
The first thousand years more painful,
10000
The first ten thousand insufferable, but this is just the start.
10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.....
An eternity would be hell with or without someone by your side. I would probably attempt to achieve all things myself or at the very least witness the achievement of them, then would find a way to end my existence.
Hmmm...If the Vampire is as attractive as one is led to believe than there are many...however I would have to go for the first, if she would have me of course and there would be conditions!!!! lol
from the book vampire kisses Edward or from Anne Rice Lestat!
Oh my gosh I cant believe I said Edward I meant Alexander I wonder why i said Edward not my favorite vampire hmm sorry please edit my previous post with Alexander Sterling from Vampire Kisses
Wrath from the Black Daggar Brotherhood series. Dude is sex on legs and super hardcore. *drools*
um it would have to be joseph, from moonlight.he is soo sexy and funny.
the jester vampire clan are one of the elite to be feared
the one in my dreams:
she's sexy, alluring
she's funny, witty
she has mastered sexual tension and can crank it up or down at will
she knows how to draw in curioisty to unbearable levels
the rest?
she knows, she is, she has
she is out there to be discovered
i will find her
muahhhh
the one with the huge tits from the capola dracula movie.or princess lillianne
I would want to be the kind of vampires that seduces with tenderness, love and magic, that makes you feel like the most desired and beautiful living creature on earth, but all like in a dream state and all positive and all comforting like a healing feeling, and then feed of the person with the same emotion and feeling, and when leaving the person would only need to rest a little while , like a normal night sleep and would be fine in the morning , even be more then fine be all good inside and like a perfect moment for them and me
Like a moment in time in their memory as a dream that made them very happy and all good inside, like healing
{Honestly myself...and my solitude}
{I'm my best friend}
{I trust me}
Rosalie from twilight she has a wicked temper like me :)
The ones I make up when I write. It's like ...if you can't choose what's available, make up your own...lol.
Forget that, I am already living with a real life vampire and I am not so sure that I am not one myself
Marius would be a great choice for me... as I am a fan of the Anne Rice vamps.... however I could see myself like Selene and working on building a vampire/lycan race that would be invincible muahahaha....
although many hollywood vampires are allureing Think I'll stay with reality never had much luck chaseing fantasies.
I like Christine Feehan's Dark Series vampires. They are Carpathian eternal warriors who sometimes have to go many years before they feel the call of their soulmate, which bring color and life back into their dark worlds. If a Carpathian goes too long and loses grip and gives into their darkness they became uncontrollable vampires of which Carpathians have to defeat. It's the desire, need and craving of their soulmates that makes me a huge fan plus the storylines aren't too shabby ;)
I say C. Feehan's Dark series of books.
the carpathians. i would choose one of them.
If one was my other half,my lifemate,
there would be no boundries in our love.
I want everything they have,
and need what they need.
too bad it's only a book.
In real life.
I just want MY other half,
dosent matter who he is,or where.
to spend my life with someone that can
make this darkness fun.
elvira definatly.shes the perfect image of the fantasy vampire.id let her swallow me whole.
Damon ---of Vampire Diaries. Perhaps Katherine could tag along since she is sired to him!!! I wouldn't complain! =)
mavis off hotel transilvania shes a little hottie bahahahaha
The vampires I want live in books.. but if I could find one like them..
Jessica from True Blood. She is young, beautiful, smart, and understanding. (as a character) I like her character because she can be a bad ass and a decent person. She is "fresh." It would be fun to "hang" out with her.
I love LESTAT's personality. Yum. I already have a WICKED sense of humor( and I don't mean ha ha funny). LESTAT's my ideal match.
Wraith or Zadist form the black dagger brotherhood..
both are so yummy!
I would try and be my self as much as i could ...... No reason to change
dracula...i love the power...the elegance...the darkness.
~W~
Okay I have four choices, two of which have already been named.
1) Dracula (as Gary Oldman portrayed him. OMG)
2) Jeanette of Forever Knight (oh-my-goddess)
3) Armand (as Antonio Banderas portrayed him)
4) Maharet (From Anne Rice's BOOK, Queen of the Damned. Screw the movie.)
good choices baroness...
1) Dracula (as Gary Oldman portrayed him. OMG)
i agree, but i very much enjoyed frank langellas version.
2) Jeanette of Forever Knight (oh-my-goddess)
she was beautiful, elegant, dangerous, and oh so sexy!
3) Armand (as Antonio Banderas portrayed him)
i prefer armand (amadeo) from the books...long story as to why tho
4) Maharet (From Anne Rice's BOOK, Queen of the Damned. Screw the movie.)
while i enjoy the movie, (and especially the sound track!) the movie should be taken as its own thing...not as an adaptation of the book. the book was a far superior (and less confusing) story.
~W~
See, I agree with you my Lord. I think that the movie could have worked *brilliantly*..... **IF** it had been called anything BUT "Queen of the Damned". The book was so incredibly good that I cant recommend it highly enough. If only Hollywood hadn't thought that they knew better than Anne Rice where that story was concerned, the movie as an *actual* adaptation of the book could have, and *should* have, RULED!
But, alas, Hollywood took a *very* intense, darkly romantic, artistically beautiful and fully engrossing work of ART and made a hack job of it, imho. Part of me wishes that they would try again, and aim to get it right this time, even if it took 3 movies to tell the whole story. But, at the same time, I cringe to think how they would ruin it in entirely new ways now. Oh, well, we always have the theaters of our minds wherein all great dramas have the chance to be played out to perfection for each of us.
Thank you for your kind comments. I agree with your assessments of all of them.
