Do you believe that your religion governs how you act as a Vampyre? Are there rules besides the black veil in different religions?
i do beleive that my religion does make a difference to my vampyre lifestyle....i am a satanist and follow certain rules as such as well as a sire vampyre..and i think that alot of my house wou.d say the same as we have several religions in our house.
each with certain varying differences.
Yes, definetly.
It seems pretty clear cut to me that any set of philosophies that a person holds to, will impact our decisions on how we act out in life.
I agree Stabb, but HOW does it? To merely state of course, does not give insight to the approach that you or any other that follows vampyrism.
I am really interested in the responses to this.
myself i follow one rule..intuition....do not do that which feels like it may be a "wrong thing"
faith is powerful...religion is a crutch
I hold faith in divinity as a concept....I hold faith that magic exists....
and I follow no religions path.....I find the bits an pieces from all of them that seem right
I think that depending on your type of religion, you draw the positive from it, form your faith, and hurt noone in the process of practicing your vampirism. Anything in excess can be a bad thing, ya know? All about control. As far as christianity in the mix; of course the catholics, and other christian org. are going to tell you it's wrong. Let's face it people; who wrote the bible? And don't say "God."! The bible was written by man, for man, to control man. Granted the word of the lord is in there, you draw from it, and perform your personal leap of faith. The bible was, and is, a very very powerful political tool. I am a practicing christian, I just call it like I see it. Just my opinion, no offense intended towards anyone.
It would seem logical that one's faith would influence how they conduct themselves as vampires.
I can't say that I have any set religious beliefs. I believe in a female deity and an earth based religion. And what governs my conduct is primarily common sense. I have no need of a preset code of conduct. When I am in doubt as what to do in any given situation, I simply stop and wait. If it was a good idea then, it will be a better one later.
Very elegantly put, Rowantears. I agree with your view.
Ok after discussing this thread with Daire, I am re-Opening it.
Please expand on HOW what you believe affects your vampyrism. Does it hinder it in conflicts? Or is it a supportive system that assists you in this path? Please expand on your thoughts and reasons given.
Should the discussion go to, “I don’t knows” or “I never thought about it” or “what a believe supports” this thread will be closed again. Let’s discuss…
i am going to attempt to answer this...hopefully to the last question asked.
How does my reglion affect bing a vampire? Well as i combine my Christian upbringing with my chosen Wicca, it has been interesting to toss in the vampire. My beliefs are that I should help others NOT hurt so that has made being a vampire more of a challenge. Taking energy from others is not allowed to hurt the one from which i take. So it has been a process of give and take. Luckily energy doesn't deplete in the universe...only shifts about.
I don't think that religion plays a role in that. You can always choose to go against how you were raised as far as religion goes. You can only ignore being a vampire for so long until the hunger drives you to satisfy it.
I was raised christian, but it has no impact on me as a vampire
i think that it would... take a wiccan, let it harm none,, do as thou wilt.... that will of course effect the vampire, as extra attetion will of course be implied by thw 'wiccan vampire'. i dont know personally one, but i do assume that extra care by such a vampire will result from it. a chirsitan vampire.. well i guess that if you follow the religon strictly, you must take attention too, there are ppl which are not affected, but hence, i take it that at that point they give more importance to vampirism then to the chirsitna religon.
a muslim vampire? i cant imagine this one, as i dont know about it actually, so if there is one please speak up.
i am not that inforamed about the left hand paths religions like satanisim, but hence we had some responses about that one.
I used to be an atheist, thus i dont belive in any type of god, thus the vampire religon, as the balck veil does not effect me either.
Dark Greeting's My religion is KAism which means I pick and choose from all,but in all the years I've practiced it comes down to one thing,:Do unto other's as you want done to you".Doe's this affect my vampirism? No I never take more than I need and i give back.
Dark blessing's,
KA
I have found that the current 7 rules of the Black Veil are so broad and benevolent as to be acceptable and adaptable for almost any society or religion. Barring the terms donors and feeding, it all basically translates into respect for those around you, and behave responsibly and within the law. Seems like that would square with any religion and that any additional rules of a religion would and could be freely added to this base as long as that religion allows for the idea of a energy vampire or blood consumption.
Mustad. I happen to follow the Christian faith. And I do not go around casting judgement on people, nor do I have the right or inclination to tell people was is right or wrong as far as their own religion or personal beliefs. So dont lump us all together.. I hate to be stereotyped.
My faith does hamper Vampirism to a degree. If there is a conflict, then I adapt to the faith.
To be specific on how.. an example would be a ritual to a pagan god by my friends or coven members. Luckily.. Im accepted for the person I am.. not my personal beliefs. I can simply arrive after their ceremonies are completed, or excuse myself to do something else if its spontaneous and return when they are finished.
I will probably be boo'd for this but, I LOVE controversy ;)
I have seen many different people in many different religions. I have heard the basic "rules and guidelines" from people that defend thier religion with the utmost loyalty and drive. I have even been to church a few times myself.
( I know I know.... take a deep breathe in and let it out. I didn't mean to scare you that bad geesh. And NO the church didn't burn down.)
When you "strip" religion of the gods they follow, the places they worship, how they pray, so and on so forth, you get the basics. What I mean by the basic's is the way they choose to follow the guidelines on the way they live.
The guidelines can be connected with every religion out there. No matter what road or belief you follow, there is always some kind of connection.
For example:
One of the rules of Vampirism in Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire is you do not drink the last drop of blood because you will die. (I know that is fiction)
In order to achieve this you cannot be a glutton. You have to achieve some sort of self control and self discipline. If you don't than you die.
One of the Seven Deadly sins is Gluttony. Which also leads to not having self control and indulging on one certain thing and not controlling yourself.
People also choose to follow the guidelines of that certain path they decided to follow. Such as The Bible, The Wiccan Rede, The Black Veil so and on so forth.
I believe religion governs how we act as a whole not just as a vampyre. Each different kind of religion affects us. The teachings, the worship, the ceremony, the guidelines, etc. All play a part in whatever religion we are. If you break some of the rule and guidelines down into a different wording or even apply it to a situation, it can also be followed the same as a different religion. So for people who say," I hate this relgion because I follow this path", sit down and think of the similarities. What you believe might not be that different in a round about way.
Everything around is affects us.
Not only does it play a part in the world around us, it also influences what we believe and worship.
I hope that makes sense. lol
It still has some sort of effect on you. Generation after generation has installed some sort of living guideline into thier children. Whether it be religions or just manners. If you sit down and read some sort of life guideline that one of the religions are based on, you will probably find some ways you agree with or some you probably go by without even realizing it. Kind of like cause and effect, for lack of a better term. Just because you do not believe in the after life doesn't mean there isn't a religion or belief out there that believes the samething.
Im a devout Wiccan and due to the one rule in Wicca (for those of you who dont know, Harm none do what ye will) feeding is a bit of a comprimise. I can not cut my donors, they have to do it themselves. This way I can feed with out going against my religion.
So, I suppose, yes, I believe that religion does dictate the way we live our life as a vampire.
Gothic Romeo
no i dont think religion dictates how we act
Moonie Edit: In order to keep a thread interesting and different things to think about explanations would be a great thing to back up your statement.
Beloved Darkness - Doesn't the Wiccan Rede (in most variations) have some other rules or guidelines?
"Live and let live, fairly take and fairly give"
(that's a rule against cheating right...and revenge?)
"Soft of eye and light of touch, speak little and listen much"
(that seems to square with rules against violence and belligerence as well as the need to be receptive and to learn before speaking)
"Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed you'll be"
(Don't burn elder wood)
"When you have and hold a need, harken not to other's greed."
(against greed or avarice)
"With a fool no seasons spend, or be counted as his friend."
(rule against bad association or influence)
"True in love you must ever be, lest their love be false to thee."
(isn't that "honor thy partner or spouse"?)
Just because their poetic, these still tend to be general rules on behavior just like most religions.
I notice that whatever religion a vampire claims- they find justification (or proof rather) for vampirism in that specific religion. Christians find it in the Bible, and so on.
Imho, I think your choice of religious path can have a small effect, but it doesn't totally control how you act as a Vampire.
i think the way you act as a vampire isnt that unlike as the way you acted as a human... it says that a vampire is an immortal without soul.. yes but the soul only decides what is right and what is wrong.. our knowledge our philosophy of living all and that stuff is in our mind... and i guess that vampires follow similar preferences after they were awakened and before
very good posts all, In my own experience different religions have been known to have vampyres among them, but few know since they try to govern themselves as deemed appropriate by their own religions
All religions have validity in the lives of its followers and no group should be clumped together.
Myself I follow the Christian faith and I have not found any real barrier to my way of life and religion.
When you open your mind and look at the Bible as a whole you find many things that most people have no idea of, for example Angels having children with humans, dinosours etc.
i'm not religious at all i believe that there is a god but not in the bible. after seeing how my grandmother was treated as a devoted catholic (she was denied last rites because the priest was afraid of hospitals) i've come to the conclusion that all churches are nothing more than money making machines. they don't really care about the people who attend just the peoples money.
It is hard for me to answer a question like this. I am an atheist, and to so many people this means I have no faith. It seems that people believe it is faith that governs morality. What I do is ask questions. I have recieved many answer, but I have never recieved any that would be monumental to any religion belief. Again, people with claim it is a lack of faith that brings me these results. I need only remind them what I am--firmly believing this--and speak of the answer I was given then.
I have found no strong link to vampirism and religion. You do with it as you will. All of your action come from the type of person you are. If it is your religion that molds your actions, this would be true about anything you do in your daily life.
I wish this forum gave us the ability to see all the posts, while posting our own. I can't remember if anything being said about religion (any type) being the primary factor or cause of vampires. *Grumbles* Guess I have to look through the posts again.
Do not get Christianity confused with organised religion i.e the Catholic Church
To be Christian is to believe in Christ you dont have to belong to a Church per say
One of the positive aspects of religion is that it provides guidelines for that particular path or faith. This is the main reason that I personally never knock it. Yes, I have outgrown it many years ago. But it did serve a purpose. Religion also gives one the grounding of faith that a person needs to support their personal faith or spiritual beliefs later in life. And as a support system, it offers a crutch to some. As vampires go, I see no reason why this would not also apply. It may not govern me anymore but it did lead me here.
reglion never had a part in vampirsim, it was here all along, period.
As many people here I live by more of a spiritual code than a religion. To me "god" is present in all things. Energy creates mass which creates the universe in which we live. The energy is the essence of all things and we are all linked to it as one. In my opinion, religion is simply a way for man to relate to that which he does not truely understand, a means of control and of keeping people unaware of their own devine nature.
Certianly most organized religions would frown upon the lifestyle which we live. Because they do not fully understand, because they are afraid or because it is a "sin". It could become easy for someone with strong, traditional religious beliefs to become lost in the contradictions. It could cause some deep-seeded subconcious issues of right and wrong.
The energy that exists knows no good or evil, each of us must dictate that for ourselves through our actions and the way in which we manipulate the energy. In essence it is pure and it is there for us all. I believe in following a doctrine of bliss, decadence and causing no harm to others. Energy flows through us all and when we can connect on the other planes and develop a bond of trust and understanding then the transfer of those energies will be strong and possitive. One who simply takes what is not offered will find a much darker tone to the flow. Something that is given is going to be more powerful than something that is taken.
For me there is no conflict, I do not subscribe to the beliefs of religion. I live by a simple moral code which puts me outside of the beliefs of religion. It has no power over me in the decisions I make in life. I simple do what feels right and good and leave the debating to those who would tie up their precious time with the foolishness. To me religion seems to be at the root of many of the problems in our world today. People will someday realize that we are all the same in spirit and the conflicts of religion will cease to be an issue. Then we can focus on more important things like feeding all the starving people, illness, homelessness and other things that we have the power to change. I feat this will not happen in our lifetime but it is in the process of evolution.
So I think religion can have a profound effect on how people practice our lifestyle. To each his own, we must all find our own way though it, fiding the ground we feel most comfortable on and making the best of it. It is all a process.
Of course it does, if it didn't then people who thought themselves to be vampires would just go out and kill. Most do not do this.
Strigocia brings up a good point, what about the atheists? Well this is about the effects of a religion on your practise of being a vampire. So really it seems that it is the morals of an individual that typically are shaped from a religious point of view.
Such as someone with a satanic view of morals is going to be different from someone with a scientific basis of belief, which will differ from a Buddhist.
I try to avoid talks about Religion. But I do have an opinion:
No matter what you base your moral standards on, whether it be a spiritual or religious base.
I believe everyone has a one. I believe everyone has a certain belief system.
Isn't this how we distinguish what we should do and shouldn't do?
I am like totally against organized religion but I don't think that it should a problem if a vampire wants to go to church and follow the dictates of their religion of chioce. More power to them.
I think everyone needs something to believe in .. even if it themselves....
If your life seems to be better off for you if you believe that a head of cabbage is giving you something that you are missing whether you are vampire or not, more power to you.
life is too short (for mortals) to worry about it. All that really matters is that your life the best way you know how and be happy with the choices you make.
I myself am a Christian and the church I was raised in was very, very strict. According to the beliefs of the church I was raised in, I am unnatural and evil. Due to those beliefs, I've always been keenly ashamed of who and what I am and what I can do. Though none of the church members knew anything incriminating about me, it was as if they had a 6th sense that made them able to see that I wasn't like them. As a result, I was outcasted even in my place of worship. After a long absence from the church, I'm finally starting to come around because my mentor is showing me that I can be what I am and a good person as well. Religion shouldn't compromise who you are but nurture it.
Religion will always govern how a person will do and act through out life. Regardless of what one believes, this world is ran by religion.
Hell Look at the War on terror. What are we fighting? Well, for the most part, its being called a Holy War. Which reflects back into the crusades.
No matter what, times changes, but war, and religion stay the same.
We live by religion, we die by religion.
- Sin
Go to The Temple of the Nine Wells site and look at the religion. Just type in those words and go look at the site you wont be dissapointed
Well I totally believe that your faith hold alot on how you live your lifestlye.
Well your faith is what holds true on how you live your vampiric lifestlye in my opinon....
I think it depends on what religion you are and how religious you are.
i would have to agree with most people on this, but i think its more of what your moral standards are.
OK folks one more time… Answer completely not just, “I have my own beliefs” or “it depends on the religion”, etc…
This forum is for a discussion. Saying those kinds of statements does not perpetuate the conversation further- there is no idea being put forth… just statements. How is that supposed to spark more discussions?
I understand you wish to “level up”, but any more of these postings and this thread will be killed and your posts will be deleted. I did not save this thread for it to turn to drivel.
Again, please elaborate on how your religion/beliefs affects your vampirism.
My religion realy doesn't effect my Vampyre life stlye that much but most of the time I try to enforce some of the rules of my chosen religion.
I dont believ in religion so Its not as confusing as it night be for someone with a religion!!! So Vampyrism all the way!!!
for me religion has nouthing to do with it I grew up as a christian then left at the age of 7 so for me I just chose who I wanted to be.
I truly wouldn't know myself as I'm atheist and haven't been confined to the barriers of House rules
I agree with Liebe about it being mostly dependant on the morals of the individual. Religion can certainly play a part in the moral development of the person but it alone does not account for what a person will or will not do. I was raised Catholic but hold no real ties to what they deem to be 'moral.' I feel it is more the law and the instinct of self preservation that keeps people from doing whatever they please in the sense of vampirism... or in any case for that matter.
I find it interesting that so many people will just say it has not effect. Especially those people who were raised in a religion that have since denounced it. Did not the religion or your experiences within the church mold what you have become in denouncing that faith? Even in expressing that you have no faith, does that still not affect your behaviours and effect your being?
To say it does not shape your practise, as a vampire is to also say it does not shape your daily living; and that is a fallacy. What we believe governs us in every aspect of what we do, so to limit its influence kills this discussion.
Consequences are both negative and positive.
Perhaps someone who has a negative experience with religion has created positive affects in their lifestyle/being as a vampire. This seems to be greater than a yes/no question.
To answer I do not identify myself as vampiric in anyway, but my beliefs have molded my behaviours with working with energy. They have at times hindered me in that I had to work past my notions of what is was/meant to my spirituality and at other times it gave me a greater sense of presence when working with these energies. Over all I think that my spiritual beliefs have the most positive influence on me, while at times I hate what they lead me to learning about myself (sometimes I would just prefer to be lazy and just be). So am very thankful for them and actively work on them daily.
Yes to me it does because of how I look at it. The Laws of my religion limit me on how I use my Vampiric abilities and such. And seance my orgin of vampires is from my religion it is he way I view myself not only in my religion but as a vampire.
i have no religion which i really hate and i am not a vampire atleast i think so, but i dont see how you could be religious and be a vampire it just makes no sense to me
I do belive so.......The rules and out looks varry in each.
If religion affects how we act, then yes religioin would have an affect on vampires. There would be limits and boundaries that would make being a vampire very hard to continue.
However, in my opinion, religion shouldn't be tied to vampires but the morals and minds of that particular person. It's not the religion you use when deciding whether what you're doing is wrong, it's basically the morals you were brought up with.
And this brings us back to the fact that religion is tied into how you were raised. If you were raised never to harm others as it says in the bible, then you're being affected by relgion because I'm sure taking blood from someone without their permission falls into the category of harming others. Also, Vampires are supposedly to be the undead, they have no souls, no hearts, no feelings, thus how can they believe in god if their afterlife is basically just going around taking blood from others...is that truely paradise?
Ack, i'm going all over the place
I do not believe in a specific religion itself. Out of every religion there is the only ones I take some of my beliefs from are wiccan and pagan. Other then that I believe my own things due to the way I live. I don't exactly believe that Religions have to influence vampires, I believe people influence themselves or others on believing a religion.
I think most Christan's would believe you could not be a Christan and a Vamp.
yes i would absolutly say there is. depending on your religion that is the way you construct yourself as a vampyre and how you act in this community...
I believe that religion can have an effect on vampirism if you allow it
I do not think it is the religion or the vampirism that makes the person solely...ok I hope I can explain myself well here, uggh...
I was raised Catholic, but I never took to it, and then I denounced it at 13 for a few reasons (explained in my journal somewhat). The only coincidence between the 2 for me was that I awakened fully at the same time as denouncing Christianity.
I am Pagan insomuch as I follow pantheon-based beliefs that there is more than one god, or more than one facto to a god...but my being pagan does not at all affect my being Vamp, or Kin. I never stop and think WWVD- what would Vlad do ;) LOL j/k- no seriously...I don't think about how being me needs to be based on religious thought. This can also be applied in a vice-versa manner. I never think of my vampirism in my Paganism....
the only possible connections there could be the Egyptian beliefs on immortality, the ankh, etc...being a religious symbol.
To me it's the same as saying my being goth has nothing to do with being vamp. I may dress freaky at times, sport the Siousxie face..but I can also look sa normal as 'Jane Plainly'- jeans, no makeup, no falls, and fit in any crowd....I am me on the inside at all times...the oustide is but a shell, a semblance, a canvas.
Oi, frigg all, hope that made sense...I go back under my table now, ;)
In many ways I see my embracing a strong interest in Vampirism as another way to break the bonds of the overwhelming guilt my early self imposed
fanaticism toward fundamentalist religion
brought about. Being a willed eyed Southern Baptist (The official Baptists according to them) From the age of 10 till my late teens, I had an indcredible amount of guilt based standards imposed upon me. Many were simply not practical and gave me quite a complex about myself.
I due value universal truths ,values ,and tenants in my day to day life. My conduct toward others is responsible and appropriate. I also feel the incredible hippocracy often displayed by so many who talk about standards for behavior is important to consider. Am I a responsible fledgling Vampire? Time will tell all.
yeah religions are cool. but theres vampyrism too? wow where have i been?
-sighs- You're a freaking vampire, an immortal. Who needs religion? WE ARE THE GODS!
Rowentears I totaly love the way you articulate your beleifs. They make perfect sense to me. I am me I take into account each and everything I do. I am native and need to follow the way of my people but also have these other parts of me that is all apart of me. I dont mix the two and always keep it real.
i disagree Nithrel, im a vampire and an immortal but im also a wiccan high preist, i dont beleive that my religion effects my vampirism, i also dont consider my self a " God " thats pointless i think. A god is an immortal but a god governs more than just themselves; they govern the lives of all other beings.
i actually kinda thought that vampirism was a religion it self. but to have inclusion of other religions atleast the popular ones wouldnt accept vampirism
and if they dont accept vampirism then how can you truely be following your religion the way it is intended? as being a part of a religion is more than attending mass and such, its the living the way of the religions codes and laws of morality
I have to agree with Raziel's reply. I've never thought that Vampirism had anything to do with religion- to me they are contradictory. I guess if you are a practicing Vampire you will in someway draw from your religious background in regards to your treatment of your "donor". But that would also apply to your everyday life- how you treat everyone. I can not see how the two can go hand in hand.
thank fully i hav never let a religion set a boundry for my life so i can just live as i wish as a vamp
I am not limited by the clan at all in anyway whatsoever. Many a vampire joins and lycan joins the clan to escape restrictions and they are readily welcomed.
I'm a little curious how so many christian vampires are able to square the idea of drinking blood with all of the biblical commandments about not drinking blood. Does this come back to whether their belief is "ala carte" or whether the bible is not really part of christianity or perhaps this has to do with old vs new testament rules? I should emphasize that since I am not a christian, I am not trying to condemn christian vampires but more to understand their rationale.
I would have to say no cause religion is overrated and underminded. I think it is more of a faith thing myslef cause you can tear any religion about to its roots but you can never tear any ones faith apart
FelixFelix you bring up a great point about christian vampires. The blood was the life of an animal, and after the flood, Noah was allowed to eat me but not the blood because the blood was "life" and the life came from God.
I was brought up in a duel society in southern Spain that practiced the roman catholic faith, but also was enchanted by the mystic gypsy culture.
The mix is not surprising, both being mystical. But I have to admit that I am dicovering the celtic roots of my father's side, which are Wiccan, to limit me more than the mystical psuedo christian side of my mother's family.
I seek willing donors and believe I share in there life as they do in mine.
I am a Catholic Christian vampire. Some restrictions I have put on myself for my own protection are: Never feed from someone unwilling, Never feed from unclean body parts, and if all else fails- there's always the blood of Christ. God is my rock- I hide in the shadow of his wings.
personally, I believe that you decided a religion when you became a vamp(the same with me and being a were) there is some who consider vampirism a religion,i think it is a way of life, an independant choice among many society-controlled one. what ever you belive you can find a religion to back that beleif up, you'll also have to make sacrifices and if you are not willing, perhaps it is the wrong religion for you.
I don't believe so. We were created to set a balance. There are no boundaries against that.
true but on that note what religion are you counter-balancing?
how can someone be a christan and also be a vamp. i have always wondered that
as long as one takes vampirism as the desire to drink the blood of others, there is really nothing in the Bible that forbids it. I think the contradiction lies within the fact that vampirism has roots that have been seen as opposed to Christianity
For me it somewhat does..because I wouldn't take or harm another to feed.
Because I am Wiccan..I would ask permission or have a volunteer.
I am not a religious Person. Religions are man made. The Catholics, Christians and Jahova Wittnesses alike ALL force their beliefs onto us, saying follow our path this is the right way...yadda yadda yawn moments...
"Their" beginnings of how our world was created is impossible...and very unlikely.
The church is corrupt...
Vampires however, you could imagine someone (not to the extent of hollywood's exaggerations) Being of the night, creeping through windows, Feeding off sleeping victims and allergic to sunlight and garlic that IS believeable...
Putting some thought into this subject if you choose to be apart of a curtain religion it should not affect the choice of practicing vampyrism. They both have beleifs and lifestyles. Just like anything you have to mesh and mold them to suit your own needs. I think they both could go hand in hand if you find a healthy balance.
well I feel if you have a balance then your religion does not change how you are it is what you chose to believe that is your religion
Not a vampire...But I would think that it would...Like it would bind one to act a certain way.
some people say that the vampires rules a biggest part of our world, that they have influence in many aspects of our lifes, remeber that historically the first vampire was punished for God in self and then by his angels...
So if there some truly vampires out there, anywhere, they maybe control some things...
I myself choose no religion and pray to noone. I'm not saying there isnt gods or demons or any of that but im not saying there is. Without proof there is no way to tell and without that proof it is extremely difficult for me to pray to someone. So until that proof is reveiled i choose not to.
I am christian as far as yes I do believe in god & heaven & hell. I don't go to church on a regular basis, actually haven't in at least 3yrs. Being a christian I don't believe you have to go all the time! I do believe it has an effect on my vampyre lifestyle & how I view vampires as a whole! As I think there are lots of things that effect how we view this, not only religion. I have never drank blood from someone! I would say my religion would make me hesitant to do it, but would not entirely stop me. However being a vamp is not only about being a sang vamp. As far as vamps that are not sang, I don't religion would effect it.
Though this thread is indeed an interesting one, I see that the original poster is no longer with us.
I'd like to see a twist to this thread if someone is willing to strat it up.
Otherwise, let's give the forum some fresh ideas.
