That is nice and well but perhaps you should consider expanding on the topic if you want to generate a good discussion. If you do not, this thread will be closed.

I've never had direct experience with an exorcism, but my mom's friend was a camp councelor to a girl who was most definately posessed. I believe in exorcism, because I believe a person getting help can get rid of a demon they couldn't best alone.

As a child my parents would be called in the middle of the night to deal with exorcism. It freaked me out, i didn't know to much about it then. Some believe it exist some don't. what are your thoughts and experiences.

I've never had any expirences with Excorism. I don't know anybody that has. But the idea of it intrigues me greatly.

I was raised in the Nazarene faith and during my thirteenth year, I remember that one of the ladies who taught Sunday School at my church, had her husband (who I never remembered coming to service before) go down to the altar. We (the teenagers in the group) weren't really paying that much attention to what was going on until the man started to curse and fell to the ground while the minister laid hands on him. The minister hten had us all clear the room except for him and the church elders, because according to them the man was possessed and they were afraid for us that a fleeing demon would be able to overtake a child's will. It was all very creepy and I remember it took a very long time. When it was "over" the man was crying and thanking the minister and the elders....but I never saw him in churcj again. His wife was a frequent church goer and they divorced not too long after this experience. Do I believe it? I think I believe it now more than I would have if I hadn't witnessed this phenomena.

I have never actually seen one, althought the ones on film, granyed probably doctored to a degree from a true excorsicm, look quite troubling and painful to everyone involved

the real thing isnt as glamourous as the films but yes i have had a few even fatal experiences lol

Exorcisms exists, that is a definite fact. I think they only stopped doing them a few years ago.

Did you mean did they work ? That is also well recorded. In some cases they seemed to work.

It could have been that the person who only thought they were possessed also believed that the exorcism would make them unpossessed - and in those cases it worked

Jesus used exorcism, but I'm not sure if humans can perform any sort of exorcism. Probably only with help from God. I've never met anyone posessed, so I don't know if it's something that commonly happens nowadays or not. What I wonder is, how does someone come to be posessed? if someone knows or has any insight, please send me a message.

I myself have never had an experience with exorcism...but I suppose it could be real. I do believe that spirits and such things can inhabit a persons body (I have been used as a medium before, but that's another topic), so why couldn't a "demon" or another more evil entity?

Like I said, I've never seen it, but I guess I do believe it.

Before I was born, my mother had a bad experience with a pesky demon-thing. She was using a spirit board and accidentally let a negative entity out. The thing terrorized my brother (who was just a baby at the time) and tried to posess my mom (she knew this because she could feel the presence tugging at her neck, trying to get in). Luckily she is a stong-minded person and she was not posessed by this creature. Eventually she called a priest, as he drove the entity into a rock and threw it in the Ohio River, and that was the end of that. Even though I wasn't alive to witness this, the whole idea creeps me out.

I myself have never had "personal" experience. Lot of ,mixed emotions about it. I do not believe that it is the power of someones deity or christ that gets rid of it, but the belief and energy put into the fact that it will work. Ah the power of the human mind.

I do believe in exorcism, but so far have only had one experience with it! I had a family member sneak into my room when I was about 12 & I woke up with them holding my head & saying weird things! So since then the idea of it kinda freaks me out!

I have had friends and family who have been involved in Excorism. Of course my sister Hot4blood who posted as well as a cousin who had a high preist come in with holly water to cleanse a house of a demon. She stated to me that one room of the house was always very cold as well as she would wake up each night being tormented by it. When the preist was involved in the blessing the water got yanked out of his hands etc. They thought they felt a heart beat in a doll etc. It was pretty upseting for the people involved.

i personally lead two now in my life. pretty heavy shit if you ask me.

the first one was a nice conversation with me and a friend when he went ballistic over issues he had with someone else and that drove the demon to gain control. basically i slammed him down on my car (we were sitting outside of my car in my driveway) then just started ranting on in some foreign tongue, i'm not really sure what to call it other than almost elvish. so far that seemed to have been all that was needed.

second time was sloppy but there was a girl and she was "afflicted" (aka she let it happen to her) and so my friend from before called me up about it. that time it was a violent and i mean three people holding her down and her trying to bite me while it was happening. i ended up being totally exhausted by the end and bitching at a friend because he said he would take care of it and said it was my fault it happened. i still don't see what provoked it though. it got settled though.

Wow that seems to have been very tough. Im glad to have not experienced such a truamatic event. I seems what I know I have learned threw others experiences on this subject.

Very, very rarely, they are sanctioned by the catholic church. I myself can only think of two occasions when it was sanctioned in this century. I believe the orders come straight from the Vatican if not mistaken. But even they have their doubts.

I was raised pentecostal, my parents were called all the time to deal with this and, for some ungodly reason always wanted to take me and my siblings along. I was hardly ever in the room but did have to deal with hearing the cries of the person who was possessed. My parents would tell us to sit there and pray or else the demon may get into us. When I did see it for the first time the person appeared tormented and in pain, the demon would always curse and fight not to leave. It would take a long time before it would finally end, I'll nevor forget it.

I am Latina and have grown up in a family that uses "cleansing and sweeping" rituals to cleans the soul and rid of bad spirits. I have been present at a few and found them very strange as a young girl. However I live in a hispanic populated community and there are curio shops all over and cleansing and sweeping is widley used. I would say that if anyone attemps to do anything like this you should have more than one person well grounded in this field with true in faith.

I agree that a true faith has to go into this. Hot4blood is my sister and dear friend and what she says is true. I have seen with my own eyes her abilities and spirits have used her body to display a message. She was raised in a strong faith and now we practice our own ways. Strength comes in numbers when your dealing with a powerful demon or spirit.

i'll agree with the above statement.
i too have forged my own belief system but alot of my faith is rooted in abilities to revert to a past life quickly, what i didn't say earlier in my story was that i had basically become an angel to the point that my wings could actually be felt physically. so in that regard exorcisms do take alot of spiritual power.

Not speaking from anything personal, purely opinion.....I believe that with anything, if you believe in it then it is a "real thing". I grew up in a catholic home and my dads best friend in life was a priest. I heard things and learned stuff, gathering and taking what I wanted from them. I believe the possesed think they are and put themselves into a state....it is very diffucult from what I remember hearing to even get the church to respond to a possession....I read above about control....I think that too has something to do with it. The only demons possessing us are the ones we have given birth to and as far as I know there is no excercism for them....

I had this one expierence I felt somethibng following me. One ime I went church and he almost automaticly dumped me in holy water. It still followed me but it owuld never touch me for 3 months. It never really harmed me esseot when I went into the spare bedroom I never knew why. Then my house got exorcised seance then I never even felt it.

Since I'm in the Philippines, we have a lot of exorcism stuff here. But it's rare that you see them being publicized because the roman catholic church keeps it's own secrets. I don't know why... do you?

I watched a show the other day on the history channel about exorcism. it was rather interesting and mostly showed the catholic exorcisms

but i do believe in the bodily possession by a demon or other spirit, i think i have know someone who was mildly possessed as she would say some off the wall things and speak in other languages that i know she didnt know

there are 4 things the catholic looks for when identifying if someone is possessed

1. inhuman strength
2. speaking in unknown languages
3. reaction to religious symbols
4. having secret knowledge otherwise unknow to the suffering individual

i agree with ladyshelly on this. if you believe in anything it works if you dont it doesnt. i've had some expieriances with helping people get souls and or demons out of their body but i'm not sure that counts as an exorcism.

i keep reading these and i never seem to stop having knowledge on some things.

i believe i saw that history channel show that Raziel was talking about. so i know that the show exists and that yes the catholic church does have a large list of exorcism procedures and all, which is kind of irritating in away.

but yeah. i actually forgot about this one experience i had while i was in the christian church still just as i started to head over to "paganism" for lack of a better term.

supposedly i was being followed by something on a youth retreat... and supposedly it was causing problems for other people as well because it would disrupt activities. my youth pastor at the time realized that i had brought along a Wicca study book seeing as i was reading about the religion before choosing to follow it. thank god he didn't burn it or anything because he knew i'd get pissed. but anyway long story made longer aside now... he ended up performing an excorcism on me with some others around me... he kinda tricked me into it and gave me a choice but still performed it... and yeah nothing happened for the rest of the weekend. i found out it was actually my spirit companion... now he's back though and my life is actually a little more at ease. sorry for making that so long. but i do have one more add on to this topic.

holy symbols do work. holding a cross on someone that is "possessed" does actually work, it won't "cure" the person so to say but it did send the one i tried it on into a fit. and to slam down the scene in constantine where he burns the girl with it... didn't happen when i did it. it only affected the person spiritually not physically as far as i could tell.

I'm really not sure how I feel about it...
One of my aunts sort of wigged out once and tried to perform one on her daughter, but I think my aunt had more of a case of mental problems than any issues dealing with her daughter...
But I'm also one of those people who tends to believe in the happier side of things, or at least I try to...

I have had a wierd experience with exorcism... I was working in an Inner City Outreach Center., as resident manager.. so I lived in the apartment in the front..
A young girl came in claiming to be possessed... Of course there was a church sanctuary in the back of this center.. It was a requirement... The priests over this center... performed and exorcism on this young girl... But when they banished the demon from her, they did not banish it from the building as well. So the spirit/demon.. whatever it was...
walked the building scaring the crap out of the tenants staying there...
Unfortunately , this thing grew brave i think is what I am trying to say..
My daughter was occupying the room the girl once stayed in and she started to have awful dreams and see dogs and snakes... The priest had to come back and do a blessing of the whole facility and everything stopped... My child would wake up screaming and she had like slap marks on her body and such... It was wierd... ALso it was said that a hitchiker killed a man and buried him under the building... She saw a man with blood on his hands walking the halls ... And it was always cold in the back hall ....

The first house that my husband and I bought was beautiful, on the lake 4 bedrooms fireplace, the works....no one told us the place was haunted. During the day the place was warm and inviting, a wonderful home. Once the sun went down it was the complete opposite. Noises, the sense of being watched, that someone was behind you, things being moved. Not at all worth putting my children in jeopardy for. Perhaps someone tried to exorcise those demons, but we left. A few years ago we went out there to visit some friends and all thats left of the house is a burnt out shell.

I beleive that the possession is just a inner demon of the person that needs help in locking it back inside. I have lost it a few times and have let my inner demon out. Some people call it beserker rage. You see rd and don't remember what you are doing. Usually it means a lot of vilence.

Exorcism was almost a dead art till a movie call the Exorcist cam out. There was a explosion of exorcisms in the US after that.

i do not know much on exorcisms but i do have a friend who was possesed and well of course i was worried i remmember him yelling out in what sounded like latin dissappeared for about two days and when we spoke again he said his mother had taken him in for an exorcism but he really didn't go into detail and i wasn't about to bug him into telling me he was already upset & i decided to drop it & cheer him up rather then upset him any further...

I dont peronally believe in them but I am so open to anything these days I love to read output . I just dont know for sure what you mean

I have no personal experiences as well. I think they are real- to many stories in my area to completely discount it. I live about 35 miles away from the church/hospital where the teenaged boy was exorcised in St. Louis. This is the case that "The Excocist" was (loosely) based on. Still lots of rumors about where it happened and it is just creepy to see it.

I do exorcisms whenever I meet anyone.

I am currently doing an exorcism these past 2 nights on myself.

By the second night, I talked the vibes out of certain parts of my body, and right now it is crossing my heart, so Iz gotsda go peeps.

I've never had personal expirience with an exorcism, but I have studied them a great deal. They make me very curious, and I'm one of those people who just has to know once it becomes an interest.

I remember a doctumentary of the times long ago, when a child was mentally ill they performed a exorcism, but as far as seeing one never. Could hollywood built this up into fantasy?

Exorcisms are a very potenet thing. the affects vary from person to person. i have experince in this aspect for two of my friends get possed. it suck. it was very draining and it too quite a bit of time to deal with them. they acted differently. one was extremly violent and the other extrlemly passive and out of it. i was the only one among my friends that was able to deal with the situation. it drained me greatly dealing with one then it took me a moment to be able to deal with the other. once thous two where cleansed a third friend of mine became over came by a presence and she became a bitch. i could have dealt with it but a male friend of mine intrupted me in the middel of the prossece

in your 30's you will realize that your friends who were possessed were just weak creatures that could not hide nor deal with that kind of possession. It comes out later in life that you too were possessed, the ride of the 20's, the sublimation of their demon will congeal and you will have to deal with it and receive an exorcism.

I have to agree with the statement, that once you realize evil, you understand it, and so evil is unable to affect you. Which is probably why evil hasn't affected me much. So many people don't understand it, so thusly they get affected by it and in turn create more evil.

there are two sides to the soul seed, there is the black and the white

even if the evil black has withered away all the white, you must remember that inside the black tear drop is a little white circle, it is the nucleus of the black organism that is fighting to take over your heart.

If that is all you got, you must realize that the nucleus is the thing that controls the rest of it.

All the evil doesn't matter then, if it is controlled and governed by the white dot.

But we aren't talking about white dots here, what we have is a spot of good evil has asked you to cover up, and you have done quite well doing the bidding,

Evil will never ask you to take away the white spot of good because then the evil will die.

That little tera firma in you is so beautiful and perfect, that that is the reason why evil asked you to be like him.

You have to dig deep, and you will find I promise that there is something in you that can be saved.

Unless you were being facetious and trying to get an effect, the little white spot is the thing that asked you to destroy all the evil.

I just did a physical exorcism using the Reiki technique by myself, utilizing the thermo dynamics properties of increasing nerve pulses. I also, in short, realized towards the end of the nearly 65 hour procedure, that there was a short cut to take, by focusing on the blood boiling past the particular nerve.

I don't believe exorcism has its full religious effect as some devouts would like to think......but the Placebo Effect. You tell them that this will help so much that they believe it and then when it is performed, it works........ :D

The placebo effect, healing happens when you have faith in things, as ill will will tend to destroy you. Positive thoughts are very important.

Also when someone is leaning over you, the demon gets kinda freaked out, how could someone be bending over a person with green vomit coming out of their mouths?

The nursing effect or the doctor effect all are things that disarm the patient and it works as a placebo.

Psychosomatic principles are also part of the ingredients in an exorcism, but to be falsely ingratiating, people can pick up on a good bed side manner of an exorcist and a false one who is there just for the pay check.

Caring cannot be faked. TLC is imp.

Vampariah I have never heard of this and would like to know more. I have only heard of the religious aspect and not the energy aspect. With putting some thought into I can see how it makes some sense.

(Educationally speaking) I am a product of the Jesuit order... the only order within the RCC that applies studies to exorcism as a real and true science. KInda freaked me out when I came across that all those years ago (when I was a wild eyed highschool kid).

exorcism are very rare, it is hard to encounter a demon. However you may need to rid a trapped spirit. Please define your meaning of excorcism

There is a version of the famous JC exorcism that states that the hermit was basically a nut case and JC told him to his face to straighten the f#ck up. The swine got scared from all the commotion and ran away. Since nobody was close enough to actually hear what went on..poof..demon must have gotten exorcise and went into the pigs! Sometimes we need someone to just be firm and straighten ourselves up.

Back in that time demons were a fact of life. When I did my EMT training, there was a guy on a bed thinking he has a chicken. Did he get exorcised because of his increased strength, strange language or behavior? No, we straighten him out with some IV drops and time. Drugs did him in, PCP, not demons.

Perhaps it is the inner demons that we ourselves create from self judgement. We are indeed our own worst demons.

And stop doing exorcisms on ourselves (shaking head), and try a violet flame forgiveness meditation. That actually works.

when i was 6 the Nuns in the church wanted to have me exorcised. but i think the priest wouldnt let them.

guess thats what a 6 year old gets for telling Nuns that its impossible to part the red sea among other things.

BillytheJust I really enjoyed what you posted. It made me think of my fiancee you is also a EMT as well as a ER tech. He gets cases of people who proclain there Jesus Christ etc. I do beleive that we as humans have to fight our own demons and some have more then others.

For those of you in the USA- there is a 2 hour documentary on the History Channel at 1 PM Central time spotlighting Excorcisms.

I am catching the last few minutes of the episode in it's earlier showing right now. I have already heard many interesting points- a couple being... excorcisms are often used as an excuse for people to not be responsible for their own actions- like, they are perfect and the demons make them do all the 'bad things'. Or, simple social issues.

Another thing- for the 'believer', there is more than enough evidence, for the 'skeptic', there will never be enough. Such as the case with everything spiritually or theologically based.

i believe in Exorcism but in a way it can be argued with haveing two personalitys. in the 1700s people who had split personalys were said to have the devil in them.

i have never had an experiences with exorcisms ... and i dont belive anyone i know has either ..... but i dont know if i truely belive in them or not . yeah ive seen alot of it on tv the exorcism of emily rose and the exorcist .... but i feel there are explanations for certain behavors ..... epelepsy just one medical term ....mental diseases there was a point made people with metal disease were thought to be possed by the devil ..how many people had skitsofrenia (excuse my spelling )back then that were acussed of being possed and they performed numbers excorcisms on them did it work??? or did they just say they were better and run for the hills to a seclude place to live out there lives...no one knows.... its very true it could be possible that one could be possed but i dont think no one could truely answer that unless you were to experience it yourself..........

Well as far as what mystic-winds said about it....I don't think that it was hollywood, as it was catholicism that wanted the outlet of "the devil made me do it", christianity as well, if someone has done something " bad ", drugs what have you, satan is controlling you, devil is in you! I feel that you make your own choices, good or bad, and you can blame no one but yourself. Unless you need that scapegoat.

well sometimes the thing thats makes us recognize we are possessed is the attack by another demon. Schitzophrenia is a bipoalr diorder where the brain chemistry is altered, and either you are all out or a shut in.

Demons have more control over us than we believe, and I think from all the information posted in this thread on how to undergo an exorcism, I would have to go against Billy the Just's advice and recommend performing one by yourself, even if as one demon goes out another one intrudes.

If the religious community is not going to perform and exorcism, except the Jesuits, then we have no choice to make an effort.

Maybe some people outside of yourself would like you to live with demons, but how do you feel about that?

My Catholic heritage exposed the concept of exorcism to me from a very early age. I think it was one of their scare tactics to try and provide a tangible example of the devil's role on earth.

I am not sure if I believe or not... either which way, i'm scared of it!

I almost got possesed once but I fourcded it out. By thinking of my life and who made me happy. It hurt just to let you people know.

My uncle has done alot of them...most were violet and took alot of people to hold them down...I don't think anyone can do it for real though...who are we to demons?

As the actual "vampire" existed only in the Slavic accounts of Eastern Europe (no, vampires cannot be found in almost all cultures just because other beliefs exist in demons or creatures who might share a trait also ascribed to the modern fiction of the "vampire"), if the truth is to be sought re: who and what the original "vampire" was and is, one must go to these earliest of accounts and not the later fictitious bastardizations of same that resulted most recently in Stoker's "Dracula" and all subsequent Hollywood-esque fictions.

And should one do so, one quickly discovers that the primary traits today considered "vampiric" did not exist prior to about the 17th Century. The only trait still found in modern fiction that was originally factual is the belief that the "vampire" (upir', vapir, vampir, etc.) was one who had returned from the dead. As to why they had returned and what they did following that supposed return... well, to discover truth from fiction, one must study the actual first-hand accounts of all such as reported by the Slavic populations of Medieval times.

As for me I have seen a couple. I was raised in a very strict home to which missing church was not an option. LIving where I do I am in the middle of a Bible belt.

It's one thing to bare witness to one but also see a door open and shut on it's own because of the demonic spirit leaving the room. Does Exorcism exist? Yes. With all the different spiritual teaching through out the world. The one thing you will see is everyone of them have an Excorcism practice in place.

Heh, yeah. I've seen a pagan exorcism. That was scary and very, very interesting at the same time. At one point, the exorcee was huddled in a corner with the exorcist holding his open hand in her face, showing her his palm. After it was over, she said that there had been a pentacle in his hand.

While very, very interesting, I am not interested in seeing anything like that again.

Yes and beyoind the use of music to undergo my personal exorcism that I have relied predominantly on the Reiki technique of heat transference, I decided to face my fear.

If I am halting the formication process of chaNNELING THROUGH THE THIRD EYE because I do not intake Beta Carotine for it causes lung cancer, I figure, if I am not smoking anyways, then this is the time to speed up the process with the Vitamin B molecule Beta Carotine.

Exorcism is sometimes not what you think it is.

Some of us was talking about this kind of thing in my wife's thread. I've never been involed or known anyone that had it done but I feel if the sitution is serious enough to take it that far then why not try it.

I don't have any personal experience with exorcisms, but my old drummer has had several performed on him by his nazi-catholic family due to the fact that they are convinced that he is under demonic control, and that (plus my beiong a "bad influence" on him) is why he isn't a "good" cathoilc. That's all I really have to offer on this subject, sorry.

You should read my journals that is how my parents met! Daddy played priest and mother was the object of the ritual.

um, my exorcism, I believe is like nearly over, but I think we can't get all the evil out of it, and we must be satisfied with like 99% or lose the whole body.

I believe it is possible but don't agree with the rev. and pastors out there that think they can cleanse someone, (of course in front of cameras) just by calling out the name of the entity and putting the bible to the head. That minimizes what some of these people truely suffer and the enormity of the task to free them

I don't believe in the hoohah of the hocus pocus of religious formal exorcism, that is probably why they stopped doing them.

I never thought that I could do exorcisms on all those girls over the internet, and then for me to handle my own exorcism. It had nothing to do with a belief in god, even though it was evident there was a higher power.

There is a higher power, I have met what ever it is,

I don't really have the energy for this right now, but I have been thinking about it for at least three days.

The anchoring of experience from heat Reiki to music was essential, because when music came into play sounds helped the process and did not interfere with it, so even if like some idiots busted into my meditative ceremony I would not end up in a cemetery. Sound was good all sound was good. Switching from heat to other mechanisms was crucial, as I even switched off music to television by using the video PINK FLOYD THE WALL music soundtrack to get the visuals going with the energy transference process. The stand up in the shower was also another anchoring experience, when I could only do it lying down, so I mean you never know an earthquake could happen or a cival war could break out, or a RED DAWN plot of like the Russians are coming right when you are vulnerable and it is crucial to get off of previous exorcism tools quickly to anchor newer concentration unbreakable tools to utilize so that no matter what happens, even if Hitler goosesteps into the room, he is helping you, and nothing is a hindrance, you could even be on the run, pushing a cart of your possessions.

There was something else.

Oh yeah. Dark energy is good. We must also reprogram parts of our brain in the brain stem, the reptilian brainstem, there is primal fear, insecrity ontop of that, there is paranoia, there is doubt, there are all sorts of bad things that can be useful to focus on

MOMENTARILY

a little bit of insanity is good

if we do not allow to briefly think about these fears, then we do not rewire those parts of our brain, we have to rewire all of it.

We have to give it onus, if we get to insecurity and say, I AM NOT INSECURE! and we are in denial, then all there is is a fear there instead of making use of the dark energy AND

we must make sure not to give it BONUS time either

a little bit of insanity is good and acknowledgiung flaws is cool in survival, but if madness is defined as obsessing on something until you cannot free your mind, then we must move quickly in the brain stem realignment, give FEARS onus but never bonus.

We should not be surprized that near the very end of the exorcism the soul is presented. Now by this time it is clear it will be a new body, a reborn body, the same height, pretty much the same abilities, but even with all that one has learned to get to this point, all you got is one soul and the soul is the thing in you that makes you you, and even though all my life I kinda liked who I was and how I saw life, and how I turned negatives into positives by use of metaphor in poetry, it seemed everything and I mean everything about me that was good, positive and wholesome, for me at this moment in time I no longer really cared for. My soul had held me back, it had given me hell, it had gotten me fired, my soul was a homewrecker troublemaker, and I hated my soul.

So why at the end when it is clear to get the body back I had to give up my soul hat I had a tough time given up my soul?

I dunno, maybe it is just human nature. Now I know my soul or yours, I really don't think that they can be passed on, when we are born they are pressed, and you got what you got by accident and who you are is more destiny than anything else as we have no control over stopped or starting our soul power. But still it has been clear the giving of the body back was for me to have a girl as a child, and I really maybe wanted for her to have my soul, because after all it was a good soul, it had received in life the proper amunt of public stonings and hell received for each iota of good, so it had to be good, and my soul maybe was the only thing that mattered.

Was it vanity or principle? There was also some vanity also. I was losing my crown and I had to do what I had to do to both preserve my tiara as well as my soul as they seemed t be linked. And then well, when I got stuck on a loophole, and my body was dangling in the restaurant window like a skinned alley cat fried in China town, I said to hell with it, take my hair, take my crown, and take my soul, I will walk the earth ugly with the very best thing about me killed.

The Devil got ready to recieve my soul, he said here is your worthless body fool.

But then the higher power interviened, the Devil did not get my soul, I don't know where my soul is, maybe it will always be in the process of being evaluated, but for a while there in the last rites of the exorcism I did hold onto my soul Tiara thorny crown too long, but then when I let go, it may have made the difference.

i do beleve in exorcisms. ive never had an experance with one. that i know of. is sleeping with satans daughter, and being whiped by her like being possessed

i havent dealt with n e this lifetime but long ago when humans were still trying to understand the langueges of they're lords and the words that have been made a religion, angels and demons did walk the earth and the universe, we always helped those who needed it and damnd those who diserved it, n e ways the angels would posses ppl to help save that person and the demons possesed ppl to hurt or just fuck with them.... the angels and elders would ask them to leave the humans alone but most of the demons were having too much fun so thats when they wuold pull them out forcfully... the humans then tried them selve and fucked it all up for the inmortals so thats why we have been hiding and waiting for the past few millenia...

I don't know much about exorcism besides what was featured in the movie Constantine... but I did read a some interesting stuff in a book called Ouiji something or other... (i have it but it's buried in my closet. If anyone is interested I will dig it up for the name and author). It tells stories about ouiji board possessions, incubus and succubus' mostly.

its not the first time i was taken but it was one hell of a ride pray to the under lord and he shal set u free if he do't answer the first time try harder it took me many of times but it happend. it takes skill to do it and not fully be taken but if u want to just go for the ride fight against it while u r livin it it really is fun. go for it u might like it i did .

I have yet to have an experience with exorcism but the idea of it actually happening to me, scares the be-Jesus outta me! Sorry :)

But the stories are very intriguing.

I understand the concept of using a theological beief to remove a unwanted spirit from someone. I don't Personally think that it is a matter of whether it is real or not. as Imagesinwords pointed out, those with belief with see it and those who have none will not.

I choose to believe that the beilevers see something and the none believe are incapable.

The only expierance that even comes close to this that I have ever had is......

I had a friend once whom would suddenly be a different person, eyes would change color, voice would deepen, and he would be flat out evil... at first we thought he was just goofing around with us, but then one day we were all at my house, and he went straight to my kitchen new exactly where the hidden HUGE butcher knife was, and began trying to attack us. I had to pin him to the wall, and one of my friends who is a very big christian, placed a crucifix in his hand and held it there, as she did that I snapped my pent from around my neck and placed it in the other hand and held it there... to this day the boy has both burned into his hand. (For those that do not know... just as a cross is a sign of faith and protection to the christians... a pent is the same to a pagan) It was indeed a strange experiance. One could say he had split personalities, but if that were the case then why would the two be burned into his hand.... odd indeed.

i had personal sexperince with exorcisms.
it all happened one day when i was chillen with friends i was able to take care of them but it fucked me up big time i wwas drain badly could hardly walk and felt like vomiting

I believe that exorcism and possessions are very real. In the practice of Goatia majick the conjuring of spirits that have the potential to possess you is the primary focus. Even the Catholic church acknowledges possession as being viable. I haven't had any personal experience with this; however, I have conjured a Goatia spirit before and if I can do that the possibilty for possession is very realistic.

Sadly most Fundimentalist Christians use Exorcism and Possesion as a scape goat for people's problems. I've been told by countless Christians that some of my mental quirks are casued by "demons from Satan". Yeah... the demon is giving me OCD and I don't even know it....

Plus I had a little nasty encounter with a demon a few months ago, and it pure Hell (no pun intended) and nothing like my daily life. Luckily it wasn't able to posses me, just make me miserable for a few days untill I was able to get it out.

The catholic church has changed exorcisms over the decades to ensure that there is actually a possession taking place. They assign a team of individuals, psychologists, sociologists, etc. to the individual that is expected to be possessed. Once they determine the individual is possessed a team of priests perform the exorcism with a medical team standing by in the event of injury. This is a far cry from the exorcisms of decades past.

I believe in them.... I haven't experinced any or seen any but I have heard of them in my grandmothers church....

I grew up Catholic. Went to Catholic school throughout my youth. This is not a topic that anyone speaks of in public in the catholic church. I do recall a 60 minutes episode a few years back where some catholic priests spoke out; it was not taken very nicely at all by the church. I do remeber however some things that weren't quite normal, as my brother was an alter boy and assistant to the priest at that...he was present to things I was not.

Responding to Lady Shelly's early post on his thread where she asserts that Catholics invented exorcisms, if you're using the definition that it is the expelling of demons or evil spirits, there are numerous references that predate the Catholic Church. For example, in the new testament, Mark 3:20-30, we see Jesus, himself, exorcising a man.

I have been around an exorcism...It was not a pretty site...I was actually pretty scared....But the only thing I really know is that after an exorcism is performed...the building has to be exorcised to banish whatever demon was in the person from the building or horrific things can happen...i and my family suffered from that one.

I myself haven't witnessed an exorcism, but my mother and grandmother have their share of stories that they have told me. I defintely believe that exorcisms treat a serious condition and I don't doubt that the psychodrama and other things involved in an exorcism work.

I only witness Exorfcism once and it scared me. It was like three years ago. My Firend, not telling their name, she went through it. It was at church and I invited her to come along and while the preacher was talking she started feeling sick. So I helped her get out of the area. Well the preachers best friend came out to see what was going on. My friend was taling funny and her voice didn't even sound human. So the guy looked at her funny and grabbed her by the arm. And started to pray out out saying " In the name of God, I command u to get out!" IT kept going an d going till she threw up everywhere. and She screamed and cryed Yelling "stop it!" Finally she passed out of the floor. After that, she completly changed personality. I hope That I'm not wrong.

Although I have never experienced it I do believe that it is very possible. There is so much evil in this world already and just because we can't always see it doesn't mean it isn't there.

i have had one done to em as i had a demon inside me once upon a time , i was age of 21 the demone/spirit wanted to contact my friend it happend when we wals walking down the street , I went to my coven master , and he plenished me now im clean no spirits since then and that was 1997.

I don't believe in it. I have watched the exorcism of Emily Rose. It is a good movie but i think it was all made up.

I have never experienced one but only heard of them. It would be interesting to see a live one.... granted I'm not the one getting a power tripping spirit out of me.=)
