Last night, I was outside walking my dog. Well, for anyone who lives in Mass, you'll know that it was windy as hell last night. Anyways, while I was outside w/ Nikki, there was a moment when the wind kicked up really hard. I felt something so I looked at Nikki and said "Change is on the wind, I can feel it." (Needless to say, she didn't really care lol).

As I said that, I felt a surge of energy go through me. It started at my crown chakra and it seemed to fill my whole body. It was so powerful it actually made me fall to the ground. Nikki came running over and nosed me, which sort of brought me back into focus mentally.

When I sat back up, I sort of heard/felt someone tell me not to be afraid, that I was being blessed by the Dark Goddess. Now, my primary Goddess is Nyx, whom I have seen referred to as the Dark Goddess. After I calmed down a little bit, I was able to stand back up and bring Nikki inside, where she wouldn't leave my side all night.

So, I was wondering if anyone has ever had a similar experience to this and what happened afterwards?

Yeah, I had alots of these energy surges, so many that I dont remember how many.


It is easy to pick up or take intentionaly those, at a hall filled with playing chess players, or something similar.

I would say that that is the way for your mind to recognise the happening, to recognise this energy, to label it, to label the experience.

Sounds terrifying at the same time it sounds exciting. I have not had anything like that happen to me.

I have had sudden "electrical shocks" or almost like lightning storms in my head, mostly while I sleep. But they arent too pleasant.

I have had something similar happen to me. I personally feel that if you are more nature orientated than it is just a way to connect with you better.

Seems as though you are one of the few that have been picked. Whether the deified chose your soul, or just your presence is an unanswered question, but as the chosen, if you feel the need to harness said energies, learn about them first.

As for the wind, there will be a rift all month long this month. Going from the West into the East. Huge amounts of wind as usual, with lots of rain. Though this time it is a bit differant, as it carries withit a doorway.

No need to be frightened by the experiance, instead, feel honoured. Not many get a chance like this. And yes, I have had this experiance. Your dog was there as comfort, not protection.

I seem to have a nasty habit of messing with electrical devices. According to my doctor, I have a higher than normal magnetic field than most people. I tend to be able to accidentally turn things on/off without actually doing anything and such. Can be cool sometimes, but it definately has it's draw backs. I can't wear watches that have batteries, I drain cell phones and mess with reception...and depending on whatever...I either get great or very poor radio and television transmissions. Would be great if I could control it, but haven't been able to. :-(

Yes I've had this experience before I live in Scotland and have experienced feelings and forces like this during powerful weather forces I'm not sure exactly why I remember one specific time in which I had an event scarily similar to your own I was standing in a small field with a couple of friends it was a strangely clear night and we'd gone there to experience it without all the noise and lights of the town, it was very windy but clear the moon was at 3 quarter and seemed very large I wasn't really thinking about much just enjoying the moment and then it was as if something I dunno like a spirit carried on the wind blew right through me and I lost all of the power in my body and dropped to the ground a couple f my friends picked me up and asked what happened I said I didn't know and we left later on I kind of saw it as a cleansing experience I've had similar things happen in different situations involving weather or the sea I can't fully explain it but I hope it helps to hear of someone having a similar experience.

I have and still having reocurrences everynow and again like once or twice a week and no one or nothing has said anything to me or maybe i am just not paying attention but either way it always makes me want to pass out but after a while of this happenin i have been able to remain poster and conccess because it was really strong at first

Yes. This is why I like heavy weather. Happened most often when I was an adolescent, but was so powerful I still carry the memories.

Happens less frequently now, mostly outdoors, sometimes when I'm driving along the coast, sometimes sitting at my computer watching the trees outside.

I have expierenced that a few times and it appears to be some sort of an awakining and is a moment of recolection.

It was definately an awesome experience. I'm still reeling from it a little bit. It seems to have awakened something inside me, which is equal parts exciting and scary.

you are lucky you are being blessed and having energy. This happens to me everytime I go up to the fourth floor at work only I get my energy drained and get dizzy and tired quickly.

I have experienced energy as powerful but never in that type of setting.

but from what i have gathered with the info that you did give, i have came to the conclusion that you were comunicated with not by nyx but by one of her offspring, Eros... Ero's swift like whirlwinds... maybe nyx is trying to communicate to you but was unable to... not sure if it was going to be a good or bad message but beings that you worship her, and her alone then im pretty sure it was something good, or posibly a warning... if you dont mind can you answer those 2 questions, i can then get a better picture... i myself had been visited by the one that i had worshipped and was given a vision... ever since then i am able to see bad things that happen affect me before hand... and ever since then then i have studied different beliefs and understandings of astral phenomenons... so i think i can actually help i just need a little more detail...

Honestly, I've had several experiences where I felt a surge of power on the wind. There's something about windy weather, especially in the Fall. Sometimes when I go outside for a walk at night and it's a clear windy night, everything around me feels purely magical. I can't explain it. I've never fell down or felt that something was telling me I had been blessed though. I can still relate to the rest of your experience. :)

I felt a surge of power when trying to move an air conditioner once. This surge of power actually propelled me about 5 feet backwards too, but I don't think this is the same thing we are all speaking of.

It happen just a little too fast, I hit my head just a little too hard, and my body was just a little too sore at the moment to think enough to be freaked out. Pretty much the only thought at the very moment when thought returned to me was simply...*ouch*

you sound truly blessed- as long as you were happy with what was happening i think you should look upon it as a sign that everything is well for you- or will be. Maybe its your deity's way of telling you that you are on the right track?

it might have been a spirit pass through your body it happens once in awhile some people who die dont pass to one side or to the other or find the light untill they surve their purpose they wonder as lost souls

I have had similar experiences to that before but never had a name or anything like that to put to the experience. I don't really even know how to describe the event either.

as a matter of fact, yes Oct 25 at around 11pm when i was leaving my friends apartment.. i took about 3 steps and had to turn around and walk back in. she came back outside and i asked her if she felt it as well and she did.. I live dead center in PA

I have had a similar experience twice. Once durring the day on a Civil War Battle field. I felt, saw, tasted and heard the battle. I could feel the residual energy and I was frozen to the spot where i stood. The person that was with me said I was in a type of trance.

The second experience was on a clear windy night near a lake. It was fall and I was walking and concentrating on feeling the elements. I had a surge of energy flow through my body and was left a bit dizzy. I had to sit down but was not knocked off my feet perse.

Yeah. It's happened to me before, except not with a goddess I don't think. I was in the grave yard, and I had stopped to touch a grave stone (because I can feel the energy and how the person was in their past life) Well, anyway, I stopped to place my hands on the grave stone, and I blacked out. My boyfriend at the time was there, and he freaked out. when I got back up, I felt more energized that I had in a long time. It was kinda cool. To this day, I still draw energy from that tombstone. The name is Crisman.

As I can see, most of the posts are showing that this is a very rare case to happen, and if not, impossible. Constant posts like "i cudnt say" and "iknuw nut" killed the idea.

Have had on two different occasions have incredible energy surges and both times woke me up, with the most amazing sensations.. all hard to describe.

Yes, and it freaked me out at first. It happened at hospital the night my mom passed as she was in bad accident with my dad and he was killed on impact she on the other hand survived for few hr's. So was at hospital and remember me&sis's&brother standing near her and we were all talking saying stuff to her and it just seemed like I could only hear myself all of a sudden, this is hard to explain... then all of sudden felt this strong energy it felt like it hit me full impact it didn't knock me over or nothing but I felt it strongly and it lasted for few min's as I came back to my sis shaking me saying are u ok Jas ...will never forget that.

I have had one a little like that but I blamed it on a passing surge of energy.
