My friend's hand was temporarily posessed by a weak demon that was following us for a while. It wasn't impressive, like Evil Dead 2, but it was interesting.

I don't think its possible to be possessed by anything demonic, but maybe by spiritual animals in certain cultures.

Demonic possession is a well-documented occurrence. If a person is spiritually open and doesn't have a very strong will, they're a prime target for possession.

What makes me wonder is why a demon would want to possess someone in the first place...

Well that the thing about being possesed, the demon possessing, possesses your body, which means you dont posses it. And then the demons have fun with your body, like killing your lover. Then when you come too, you life is ruined.

i have never been posessed but a friend of mine was and when our HPS went to do a vanishing ritual our HPS was almost posessed but after a struggle she was succsessful at vanishing the demon

I had an experience I beileve was possession, I was sitting talking with my younger brother, and suddenly I felt something of which I really can't explain, but in that instance staring at him I just wanted to jump on him and tear him to shreds, It was so much anger and hate and so cold, It took eveything I had to fight it back, and afterwards I was almost sickened by it, I felt ill at the though of harming my brother and still to this day am not sure what came over me for those few moments or why.

While I think majority of those who claim they are possessed are actually out to get attention, a few actually are. The Church doesn't want to admit to the public how often it occurs because that would admit more than they care too. Religious leaders are too much like the government.

I've never been, but I have seen human shaped shadows move across walls in a room with no windows and nothing moving in the room in my old house.

Most possesions come about through an individual themselves. The unwilling vitims actually attract a sprit or demon to them. Usually if their life has been turned upside down or is in complete chaos, or very hardships happening it will draw an evil spirit. The entity then feeds off of the negative energy and will actually create more negativity for it to feed off of. And no offense to anyone out there, there really is no way of controlling it, it controls you and it may just let you think that you are controlling it.

I don't know what I think of it. I have been told many times throughout my life that when something posesses you temporarily you do not remember a thing.

However thats exactly what freaked me out last night cuz I think I might have been in my sleep... I had the door open halfway and the lights turned out and in the middle of the night I woke up and my door was open all the way and my light was on.

This morning I asked my mom if she turned it on and she looked at me with this alerted look and told me that I came stumbling into her room and told her I had a creepy dream. She said that if I wanted I could lay in her bed for a while and then go back to mine, and I didn't say a word and turned right around and left.

That freaked me out because the only other thing I can think of is if I sleep walked, which I have never done before. I always remember when I have a creepy or wierd dream and if that had been the case I would have rememebered contemplating on getting up to even turn the light on. Also I normally tell my mom about those wierd or creepy dreams and never just turn around and walk out.

So I was either posessed or sleepwalking... either way it freaked me out a bit, and I was not acting like myself exactly.

Posession is real and has happened to many.
There are many types of posession as well. Some are Welcomed, others Forced. And some include a bonding of Souls so to speak. I myself have experianced a welcomed Possession were the spirit was invited in for a limited period of time. And I must say that I enjoyed it rather well. The other is a Bound Spirit that is part of who I am. I use alot of energy to keep it bound. Yet its strength is my strength. It Soul is my Soul. But all in all, posession is not something to be taken lightly or played with. Dangerous the path is. Should you not be strong enough, you yourself could be lost to the abyss of your own mind.

Posession is very real as you have read it can happen to those who are usually unwilling, as well as the willing.

I beleive that it is not your will power but the power of your spirit. If your spirit is strong and you have a strong mind you can avoid posession. Demons prey on the weak minded and the weak in spirit. They want someone they can easily control.

There are many cases of possession and it is wide spread. Documentaries and case studies abound there for the reading or watching.

As a user of the Ouija board for about 30 years, I would say that you can't be possessed, but you can open a portal for others to come through. Some that you just might not want around to mess with you.

As for possession...Sylvia Browne, the famous psychic says you cannot be possessed unless you give them permission basically to do it. If you are inviting or daring them, almost, then you might be then. But they cannot take you over without your consent. People you see on TV....I think they are so ate up by it all, caught up by all the emotional shit they get into, that they do it themselves, they are playing the part. Maybe not intentionally.

Possession:
It is a spirit, demon, ghost, or soul that enter's a living body and takes it over, altering the speech, characteristics and sometimes eye color of the person.

A person of extremely stong will can actually enter another's body and possess them if they can astral travel and litteratly force their will upon them but may not actually take them over completely as they are still partially attached to their own body.

My own mother has been possessed by 7 different demons all at once, each one coming out, naming theirselves, and tried to convince me to do something. Her eyes litteratly changed from hazel to black.

This is very personal for me and I wish not to say what they wanted, but the point is possession is very real by demons and I have witnessed them and fought them.

The best thing you cando to keep this from happening is to keep negative energies away from you, cause they are attracted by these energies and feed from them and may even stick around if they are strong enough.

Some lower demons are even controlled by other people, and use them to drain energy from people. The master of the lower demon will then absorb directly from the it, or Imps I call them, as they often resemble the mythical creatures.

These demons are not easily gotten rid of when they decide to stick around and are extremely hard to "kill". It is much easier to make it unprofitable for them to stick around so they will just move on.

I think we are looking too deep here as a lot of what has come before in history were metaphorical references. Possession by a demon can be a simple as being greedy enough to refuse giving a dollar to that bum on the street... or not putting down that fork, crack pipe or beer bottle... when you know it is killing you.
All demons by nature consume their hosts in the end. Just try to remember, demons come in all forms, not just the ones with big nashy teeth like in the movies.

I had an experience with this for a while... my whole life whenever I did any type of magick I would have beings I referred to as Watchers show up. These being were not good in any way shape or form. In my teens I kept having dreams about a man who was looking for me. All I got from these dreams was that He was coming...
then a few months ago I finally went through my Quickening. Shortly thereafter, whenever I had a premo, instead of them coming in my sleep, I get a huge migraine and I pass out. One of the times this happened, a Watcher showed up. The next time I had a premo, a few minutes later I started seizing. It got real bad, and my family did everything they could to help. I finally had to have a spell placed on my skin and smeared with sage. It burned like a mother fucker (sage has a really weird affect on me). The seizures have almost disappeared, but I do have the rare occasion where I have one. I have no control over my body. I hurt all over and scream and cry and have even had my throat close up. I don't remember much of what is going on when it happens. Demons are by no means the only ones that can posses as the one who tries to posses me isn't by any means a demon.

I have a doppleganger ,when I lost my brother I flipped (who wouldn't)anyway I have very little memory of what happened to me or what was going on around me all I know is that I was "losing it"seeing visions of Aaron hearing his voice etc. I woke up periodically at the hospital no not the psych ward lol,their was blood all over my gown they kept changing me I started getting better the DR. explained I had been there about a week my roomate brought me there,I had a stroke,and a small clot in the forfront of my brain hense constant nose bleeds I BELIEVE it was my doppleganger that got me through it she carried me when i couldn't go anymore I call her summer possesed? maybe but if so am damn gratefull for it~

Had a friend that for several months kept having something try to possess her, unsuccessful, but it tried to intimidate her which she was too strong to let it bother her. She was a lot like Edgar Cayce and when she was in her trance, it would "knock on her door" to be let in.. tried pushing in a few times, but never worked. She never found out what/who it was.

I've ever been possessed, and have never seen someone be possessed, and I'm thankful for that. I have no doubt that it happens. I think some cases of possessions can be violent and others can be rather mild, depending on the strength of the entity inhabiting the body.

I don't know too much about the matter...but I know when I was younger it was almost like another side of me took over in anger...like I was loosing control of my own actions. I guess I always thought that possession was really a multi personality disorder. Reading these fist hand accounts makes me wonder.

I personally have never been possessed, but have heard of accounts of others be possessed. For example mediums that are able to contact the other side and being possessed by the spirit they are in contact with.

Growing up I witnessed a few “exorcisms” where other kids where believed to be possessed. I believe it’s possible but I feel those kids where not. They just had regular behavioral problems like a lot of kids have.

Most cultures have recorded some form of possession being possible from their perception and it mostly centered around their religious beliefs. However it was not always a malicious event as is seen in Christian religions.

Things can get hairy very quickly as a result of the exorcism I was thrown across the room to slide down a wall and felt like I had been hit by a truck, guess it felt me as a threat. Funny thing was it was in a small child and after the exorcism the child was almost angelic and we could not believe the change in him, but I still remember those black cold knowing eyes. After the exorcism his eyes were blue and loving.

Well I don't know much about it but I do think I've been possessed before. Not by a demon, but by another spirit or prehaps someone of wiccan religion.. Sometimes I get this feeling as if I'm not myself, like my spirit has stepped out of my body.. and I can almost see myself living day to day until it returns..

When I moved into me last apartment, I, for a few days, experienced a rage which totally seemed to envelope me. I was extremely angry and my friends say I exhibited a rage like they've never seen in me before. Several of my friends even noted I wasn't really 'me' which they had gotten to know, I was someone else. They say it was like I had a new 'soul'. After a few days I returned to what my friends say was the real me again.

I found out the the owner of the property before me, had passed away in the house in the apartment above me (two level house).

I can only presume that he was still in the house, and my intrusion was seen as an attack and he tried to get me out, but when he saw that I wouldn't leave, he left me alone.

Every now and again I sense his presence, even today living in a new apartment, I can sense him nearby, but I haven't been possessed since.

Just realized I never answered in my previous post, no I've never been possessed before, and never plan on it happening.

I've never been possesed personally, but i know someone who claims that they nearly became possesed, where something tried to enter there body but they fought it off.

I never have been, or do I know anyone that claims to.

Because there are times that people hear those evil voices and do as the voice commands with out realizing why and they can't stop.
Spiritual where your own soul is cast out of its body and you are pretty much forced to watch something that you do.
And physical where you are physically taken over. This usually means that there is a bit of a cramped space and I bet souls can get pretty pissy if there isn't enough room

In other words, if you don't say they can, then they can't hurt you or "get inside". So don't be inviting them to take you over and you should be fine. Lots of people want shit to happen, or just open themselves up, and that makes them vulnerable.

PS--I think, also, that some people just got worked up in a tizzy, like some religious people, when they yell and scream and claim to have Jesus in 'em. Some people just reaaaaaaaallly get worked up and believe it themselves. Next thing you know they will be carrying snakes around.

I believe that spirits can also possess, only not to the extent that demons can. That is one of the reasons why summoning demons (ESPECIALLY if you're not capable of handling it) is such a bad idea.

After the possesion you feel very weak and tired from battling whatever was inside you. I have a tendency to be an open channeler and I've had things, good and bad come into me. Most are brief and quickly leave.
