The power of love will only win when we lose the love of power.
2012 approaches and I must say some of the book of doom and gloom are wrong.
To think nature will destroy us is wrong and very egotistical of ourselves, mind you most have never been camping lol.
I feel the shift towards Wicca and other nature linked beliefs a sign of the times.
To know the seasons and understand the phases of the moon herb law and a spiritual path that is in you and not dictated to you something that will save us in the long run as the vail slips and the mask fall we will in 2012 see those behind them…. This is the message passed on I believe……
What do you think? Is nature based beliefs a good survival guide for a future with no cities if 2012 really hits the fan?
Is nature based beliefs a good survival guide for a future with no cities if 2012 really hits the fan?
i really dont belive this. But some people might and if it does happen then it happens.
wat i think is im not basing my life of a book.its like if i were christian and followed everything the bible said i would go crazy..no not happening
Good for you… if it did change would wicca and other natural beliefs based on nature help us survive?
History shows the pilgrims starving for not being natural based beliefs and the local pagans saved them. Will history repeat, that’s what I think 2012 is, just history repeating…
I would like to think that it would help. Belief in any path will help you, faith goes a long ways but in this particular event I feel that the wicca or pagan path would be well suited.
I'm sorry,
I got as far as "most have never been camping" and my jaw hit the floor. I do that on a random day just for kicks (if its not too frigid.)
I'll try to be back once the shock has worn off haha.
i think anyone who has a love for nature and actually goes out and spends time in it will do off well
i agree camping in second nature to me also ( I live in the south) but if it does come to that i know a few girls that are going to freak out
we all have to use a bit of common sense here ... yes there are laws of nature that will be in effect but will it destroy all - NO will it destroy some? could be. will the stress of it all cause destruction? YES
What is the cause of the destruction of man is but man himself, we are cutting down trees, creating pollution etc.
whether im off topic I dont know it's early and im off to work
Man has done so much destruction of nature on their own free will. Global warming will eventually distroy the planet. Rather it happens in 2012 or another era. We are already seeing the signs weather changes, natural diasters.
These beliefs you talk about will indeed help one to survive in the vast nothingness if 2012 scenario does happen. If indeed there is nothing else but the land to live off of, one will need a belief system to guide them. Although I don't know much about the wicca side of it, group ritual ceremonies that deal with mother nature would help to lift spirits and act as a bridge to the nature world. Which in turn could yield positive results from fending from nature.
The only drawback to these beliefs would be if a catastrophe happens that kills nature. Then we would have to rely on good old fashion survival skills.
All civilizations hit "the wall" at one point or another, is this our wall?
I whole heartedly believe that there is a great impending change about to occur. I read and study constantly, and I see a lot of little signs, but better yet I dream of it and can feel it within my bones.
If anyone is watching the signs(what they allow us to see) they will note that we are indeed falling into peril...
Good earth skills are a must for anyone wanting a half a chance should it actually come to the "end" of our comfortable lives as we know it. Many have no such skills and anyone who is not in tune with such will be carrying a gun and taking what they want.
I think the bigger question that remains as RAAGIOSL briefly touched on, is what will be the level of toxicity involved at that time? This would have much to do with overall survivability regardless of one's general earth studies... Maybe an MSDS and a US Military chemical weapons safety manual will come into play also..
mother earth loves all but she will not allow us to destroy her with our carelessness the earth will do what needs to be done to fix what we break that said i don't believe anyone knows the exact moment the end of time will occur it happens for someone every day but i believe changes are coming
i think the any skills or gifts that have to do with nature or survival in general will be of great help if it really does happen.
it wont be the strong that survive it will be the skilled
wise as in how? i mean certain wisdom might not help if it really was a live or die situation
I never heard about the end of the world in 2012.
Love is a great power in this world. As long as life will go on so shall love. The other way? I don`t think so... but it better be.
i mean someone that fully understands the concept on whats about to happen
While reading about 2012, I came across a rather new age site with notion that we must not let fear into our hearts or minds because the date will ring in the fourth dimension and what we think is what will be created. It went on to describe little machines that can keep us safe while time dissolves and our atoms are pushed apart.
Maybe I should have looked harder at finding out what the little protector machine was, but I really wasn't buying the story.
As far as if religion or love can save you, it honeslty depends upon the "if 2012 happens" and the severity. Some of these books and websites are suggesting that humanity and life on earth will perish. I am not wiccan, but is there any faith that can teach you to surivive in antartic like conditions or to sustain the firey pits that may occur?
yah i was reading a similar site to what u were reading..it said that we can not think negatively because we would create a world about how we are and think...and that we will choose the world we live in and the appearance....
First: if the world is going to end in four years that means four more years for me to get and give all the loving possible in 2000 + days.
Second: Survival skills are important, not only in a wilderness situation, but also in urban areas. That means weapons.
third: The pilgrims arrived at a bad time of the year for planting, and were understocked with rations. It's been years since I studied this stuff, but I don't think they abhored nature, spiritual stuff. They didn't appreciate their benefactors enuf, though.
But what is the theory based off of? I can't help but ask why we think that in a calamity that hoping for the best and having faith would merely help reduce panic, not save us from mass extinction.
If 2012 is not then why are people stressing about it? I believe with or without help from natural loving religions the the world has learned enough from history to hopefully not repeat it. Although in no way am I against the natural loving religions. I personally love nature. And camping is a good pass time. Don't know about others.
People are stressing about it similarily to how individuals believed Nostradamus predicted the world to end in 1996, and then there were milenium fears, and before that there were many other supposed dates for our doom.
If the world actually comes to a stop, then I'm guessing even the peace lovers will get frightened by a new savage reality. We can say we will love our neighbors but when there is only so many rations of food, are we actually going to conceed our life? Can we even speculate on our reactions when none of us have ever experienced the doomsday like events that are theorized?
It would be wise not to panic for sure… even if they did foresee and wrote about there extinction by the Spanish idiots who were ordered to hid the truth by burning everything and killing everyone to silence it…. Only now has some more come to light… this calendar is one of many.. and they go past this time of 2012.
It points to a slip in dimensions what that means depends on you, a mention of the mask we all hide behind slips and some of us are not what we seem…. Thus those who embrace both sides the light and our dark if you will are holistically whole.
I think the advancement and quick growth of wicca and pagan beliefs proof religion has not given us what we needed… I just see that as us spiritually building our own arks for the flood of the dimensions rift apparently about to happen… still who knows we can only go by what scientist with agendas tell us based on scraps of info… it’s like placing a bomb in a book shop and trying to put the books back…. So yes don’t fear nothing… just get in touch with yourself , learn some survival techniques … get a bunker , learn to be flexible n kiss your … only joking lol
Honestly I don’t think it will be bad, just great change I embrace it, I wonder if that’s also why I embraced my vampirism nature, have spent more time learning healing with herbs ect in fact all my craft is around survival when I boiled it down.
If civilization as we know it dies for whatever reason and we are forced to back to the old ways, I don't see how wiccan or anything paranormal will help.
Knowing how to find food and shelter IS necessary to know. I could live without religion of any kind, as I have for many years. I cannot live without shelter from inclement weather, food to nourish my body and water to quench my thirst.
Some people need religion to fill voids in their lives, to blame bad things on and praise for good things. I believe things are brought on yourself. If you aren't following laws and doing things you should do while driving, the risk of getting into an accident is significantly higher. It's not God punishing you for missing church last sunday or anything like that, it's your lack of judgement and making poor choices.
No offense but what does the power of love have to do with religion and/or the end of civilization? There is only one TRUE love, that is love between a parent and a child.
First off , noticed your first post is gone,I always enjoy your threads. I was sad to see if was gone today.
To answer your question, I too disagree with the doom and gloom theory. So many are so quick to look at the downside of any kind of events or issue.
I think our natural energies of the earth and it's creatures will become more prevalent. And that people will hopefully embrace more of the natural world around then. Love of friends and family and country is such a powerful thing. I believe this will outweigh any such catastrophe in the future.
I agree with boneyardvixen. The skill to survive without civilization as we know it would be key. If wicca gives us those skill that is great.
I also feel that camping is nothing like survival in the wilderness. When most folks go camping they take a cooking utensils, sleeping bags, tents and food. You have to think about what happens when your tent wears out and your food is gone.
There was a series of books in the 1970's called Foxfire. They taught you how to do things that people used to do as a matter of course such as build a shelter, skin and dress animals for food, trapping hunting, building shelters etc....
I'm more afraid of events in the mideast, South America and Africa. Peace is not breaking out.
The mortgage crisis and the economic situation in the U.S. is rippling around the world. Australians are now having a hard time buying a home.
And the really funny (in a painful way) thing is it's money (an artificial measure of prosperity) that is tight, not resources (except for oil) necessary for life.
And the Saudi's are making snow in the desert.
Really I suppose I'm a bit confused about the topic at hand... But honestly I feel like this. If its the end of the world... its the end of the world and there really isnt much to say or do about it. It's like getting diagnosed with incurable cancer. You know its happening... you know that at one point it is going to end... and probably badly... so basically we need to remind ourselves that time and things end.... we need to live our lives like the end of days is tomorrow.... I have something random about this in my journal (i actually wrote it a few weeks back before i even heard about this 2012 thing) I think that the power of love of others and life and nature will give us the comfort to accept what is happening and to go on with it and not fight against it.
Bloodmother you bring up an interesting point. Its the value of money that is in jeprody, not basic needs.
Did you ever read about the tulip collapse in Holland 400 years ago. Tulip bulbs were brought from Africa and were so valued, they were used as currency and measures of wealth. Speculators drove up the price of tulip bulbs over time. Eventually Dutch trading companies brought back shiploads of tulips, and the supply caught up with demand. Speculators that had invested in tulips were ruined and it destroyed the economy of Holland. Look what happened to all the tulip bulbs now, they are everywhere in Holland.
The credit squeeze we see now is due to poor judgement on credit risk and speculators in the oil markets. If, I should say when alternative forms of energy become redily available, price of oil will collapse. Heck even if the US stops using so much of it due to our own econonic collapse, oil will fall again. Bottom line is we have to change our energy sources and uses.
You see the price of gold sky rocketing also, as it does in tough economic times. the price of gold during oil embargo of the 70's and recession afterward rose to $2100/ounce (adjusted for inflation) it is now only $1000. Gold is next to useless except as a decoration or a measure of weath.
Yes. The tulip madness. People hoarded them, killed for them. The Botany of Desire details that chapter of human history.
Ever read any Alan Watts, and his dissertation on money vs wealth? "Does it Matter?" This book ties in well with the subject of this thread:
Book Description
This is a series of essays representing philosopher Alan Watts's most recent thinking on the astonishing problems of man's relations to his material environment. The basic theme is that civilized man confuses symbol with reality, his ways of describing and measuring the world with the world itself, and thus puts himself into the absurd situation of preferring money to wealth and eating the menu instead of the dinner.
Thus, with his attention locked upon numbers and concepts, man is increasingly unconscious of nature and of his total dependence upon air, water, plants, animals, insects, and bacteria. He has been hallucinated into the notion that the so-called "external" world is a cluster of "objects" separate from himself, that he "encounters" it, that he comes into it instead of out of it. Consequently, our species is fouling its own nest and is in imminent danger of self-obliteration.
Here, a philosopher whose works have been mainly concerned with mysticism and Oriental philosophy gets down to the "nitty-gritty" problems of economics, technology, clothing, cooking, and housing.

More alternative fuels is one path to follow in solving the problem. Of course, people are starving in areas of the world because they've switched from soy bean production to corn for bio-fuels. They're just trying to make a living. Problem is the businesses that want more than a living.
Hi Boneyardvixen, you miss the point on pagan or wicca... it's as paranormal as some religions who pray to a none proven entity.... only they believe in taking control of your life and being one with nature where the other seems like sheep to the slaughter so to speak.
i dont see sunday mass talking about how taking this herb will bring a fever down lol
as for living with no religion...? so do i im a witch im well trained in most arts.... no gods are mine... but you need something, i believe in holistic spiritual inside.
and dont worry no offense taken and please take none from me, i used the quote about love of power over power of love as this 2012 will be a slip of the mask so to speak and then my words will ring true i think .... we will see the need for power over love of mankind... hell i see it now and this divide will be the last i feel of mankind and individuals to make.
so if you belive or not a little less power control and a bit more love might help this world as it crashes with no thought of tommorow as oil is burned n trees are cut and land turned to deserts after one year of feeding beef for some fast food chane as wars drain the usa and the people are made to pay or lose your home...... take a trip home from work and realy pay atention to the streets see the homeless and the drug dealers mass.... just stop and look at this building up ....
as for the rest of the post there is some realy good post thanks everyone cant wait to get home from work for some more
when I was putting my profile together and doing some research on Polish Vampires ... it turns out that Poland and among other Roman catholic countries were Pagans and still keep some of the customs before the catholic church forced their power over them.
People these days have doubt on alot of things and when you see things with your own eyes and feel things peopel will turn toward other ways of beliefs which your have now vampirism that is widely accepted because it works and is flexible and it combines with others that religions dont. There is the "power of love" and with that you have stegnth in numbers
I think as the power of the 'church' declines and people see it as the corrupt beast that it is... that coinciding with our dwindling resources and the damage done to the planet are driving us to all live in simpler ways, in harmony with our environment and to seek the answers within ourselves in regards to spiritual matters.
What will happen after 2012 who knows guess we will have to wait 4 years to find out. Rather than worry about the future I rather worry about the present its more immediate lol.
Ok, now I see the love corolation in the thread... I must not have read the original post thoroughly. I do feel that everyone has a spiritual thirst that must be quenched. I myself have it, I just haven't found the right religion that fits me.
Thanks for explaining, I got it now :)
I gotta say, things that bring you closer to understanding nature will help you survive.
Speaking as a Wiccan, I think the rise in NeoPaganism as a whole has more to do with individual freedoms being protected in certain Western countries, and a sense of dissatifaction with "The Big 3" Religions most of us were raised in. I'm sure you won't find many Wiccans in Saudi Arabia.
I always find it amusing when people talk about "The end of the world." The "world" has been here for billions of years. Modern Humans have been here for just about 200,000 years, and that's being REALLY generous. We may get wiped out as a species, either by our own stupidity or a natural disaster, but in all probability, Earth will still be here (there's a great show running on Discovery called "Life After People. I recommend it.) It's a fact that the Earth cannot sustain our current rate of growth, and as true in the Stock Market, a "correction" is imminent .
That said, I do believe it's not a coincidence that Earth-based faith is growing, just as the environment needs all the help it can get. On a personal level, I believe it's up to Pagans to live by example, as far as caring for the Earth, and calling attention to the horrific acts being committed in the name of "progress." We ~can~ live in harmony with our natural habitat; modern human society chooses not to. It's not progress if it ultimately ends our ability to survive.
xLoreleix - you said it so nicely as what was in my head! lol that is exactly what I am thinking.
we have to stop destroy our resources in the name of progress as they say and try to fortify what we have.
well i do beleave love is not a power it is an emotion that every human being feels in one point in time and another that we feel in several ocations
I personally don't believe you can predict when armageddon will happen. Even if you can, how could you stop it? It's a huge catastrophe. The end of the world for humans can't possibly be predicted - just like it couldn't have been predicted that the dinosaurs were gonna be wiped out.
Shattered, this really isn't about armegeddon in the christian sense, but about the end of the Mayan calanadar. The mayans were very accurate in their celestial mesurements. They developed a calandar, but it ends in 2012.
Interesting thing is our own notion of time has changed. We used to use GMT, GreEnwich Mean Time, based on celestial observations at the naval observitory at the Greenwich, England. We now use UTC, Universal Coordinated Time, which is based on atomic clocks in countries that are part of the international time consortium. The atomic clock times are coordinated on a monthly basis to assure they are in sync, and then the leap seconds are added to match GMT. This is so the year still ends when the earth's orbit comes back around. GPS time is based on atomic and has to be corrected for epoch and leap seconds.
Bottom line is that we do all this to develop a notion of time, and the Mayans calandar is still acurate.
I could see how being a wiccan would help as in some aspects of Wicca you have to know about plants and herbs. I am sure knowing this and if you know how to garden and things like that then yeah I can see how it would be usefull. But really what we need to know is how to be a good farmer.
With the technology advances in the past 1000 years people have let go of the idea that nature is our friend.
Those who have a connection with nature are sure to "survive" when all the technology comes back to bite us in the you know what.
2012. there is nothing that will happen. and if anything does those in touch with nature will be a step ahead of the rest. we all need to take fate as it comes you can't stop what you can't control.
There has been so many that have said.. on this day the world will end.. or change causing clamity.. I look forward to this day.. and wait.
no one really knows what will happen but i think the skilled and the strong and the will to live will play a big part in all that happens
You know... I think that regardless of this 2012 thing... I think that our lack of love for eachother is what will ultimately bring us down. it has nothing to do with religion or beliefes..... My short readings on what makes a serial murder the way they are is the horrible stuff they had to go through when they were learning how to love and so forth..... for every moment we take love from another... we in the grand sceme of things we are taking our own love.... eventrualy we are all going to empty heartless and mean... and that uncaring nature will destroy humainty as a whole
The 2012 thing I haven't heard it before, anyway about the nature thing but I did hear it was the end of the mayan calendar they had no future past that point for the world.
When it comes to nature I think if it decides to retaliate it will no matter when the date is, the weather has already developed an unusual pattern and it worries me. Camping has no comparison to living with nature that is for sure.
2012 will come..2012 will go. Is just a mith. Old religion has been with us all the time that the mortal world exist. Nothing will happen.
When the end comes it will be by hands of humans. Humans have abused the earth so much that it may never recover without killing humans off first.
It's that or humans nuke the world.
All things come to an end. That's just the way it is.
I think that religion has nothing to do with it.
i am not a believer in most of these books and stuff.. i mean gosh could you imagine we we all lived our lives based off of books...
if it happens it happens i guess..
I think it might help in certain places but we rreally need to learn and know about are agriculture and meteorology.
Everyone keeps saying if 2012 happens. people it is coming the year 2012 will hit us. now will the world end then? that is the question.
I dont believe so. i understand why it has been predicted and done much thought on the matter. I have come to the conclusion that the alignment has changed so much since the time that calendar was created that it is inaccurat. I also have to agree that you cant really accurately predict when the world is going to end.
I do however believe that at the rate we're going we are going too kill each other off. we need more love and compassion in the world if we intend to survive. But four years... i give it much more time than that.
but hey i could be wrong... we'll just have to wait and find out.
Well if it does or it doesent happen its always good to know how to survive in the wild.
This same "concern" also approached when the year 2000 approached and passed.
I would use my common sense, my knowledge, and my sense of survival that nature gave me in the event the world went upside down.
I can only do what I am capable of. No god or God or gods or nature beliefs are going to help me maintain.
Everybody is different, and different people have different needs/desires. I would say that it all depends on the person.
In a general sense, if we had a catastrophic event occur, those that could live off the land would fair better than those that couldn't.
Dear Dog …. Please read something about 2012 …. Never was year 2000 even in the same ball park. ….. lol
I have read about the 2012, and I am aware of what is "supposed" to happen.
I was just trying to draw an analogy of how humankind responded, or planned to respond, to a world changing event...that failed to change anything.
I hope this clarifies why I discussed the year 2000.
I was not trying to divert the discussion, but rather point out that there is a very good chance that a large population of people are going to prepare themselves for something that will likely not occur.
Oh I just find the comparison so out of whack it didn’t seem right like comparing a porch and a larda lol
Just wondered why?… thought you might not know the real ramifications of the even and how unlike a silly computers may fail event that didn’t work when I forwarded my pc clock, these guys did for see there own demise to the white haired one who will bring them death and now this 2012 a time when mask slip and dimensions will open … look around don’t you see a build up?
as for the post your entitaled to say what you want just also expect me to ask why
It's not nature I worry about, its fools running the world. Hope the don't hit the red button.
Hey lavisbre can I ask one very important thing that applys only to you why are asking us on vr what will happen???
I ask because I mean you know and read what is nessacary to understand what the mayans said and there predictions.
And all so I have seen you cover the same subject on 2012 in other posts you may be asking us different questions but still you recieve the same meaning.
By the way I just want to know not trying to steer off subject.
And that quote you made in the first post about the power of love is very reasonable and true so thank you for it.
All so another thing if all the cities where destroyed would that not just turn us into the caveman style until we the "Human Race" regrouped and started building all over a again???
we can try and be ready but who really can be ready for such thing to happen
Didn't find the analogy of 2000 and 2012 that far off - there were novels and movies about the end of days at the year 2000 and we were just fine. Perhaps the ancients had something there with 2012 or they might be off a year or two... we'll find out when the date draws near.
It's hard to say. I know how you feel. I can feel it to. People have forgotten the spirt of the earth.
The problems of the upcoming years are going to be hard to fight but we are here and I don't plan to stop fighting. Life is what you make it. Just have faith in yourself and the spirts around you. The end with come but will you fall to your knees and weep, or go out with a laugh and a smile. Your gone ether way.
I plan to smile.
Quite honestly, I think 2012 will come and go, and nothing will change.
If say in the year 2012 and such things happen we are more than knowledgable to survive
the power of love has nothing to do with the years to come or what will happen in the centuries to come the power of love is what you have when you will do anything for a child or a love one or a parent, its helping a family member to protect them and keep them safe .if you were a parent you would know what it means.
so you all think in 2012 so many horrid things will happen?
I don't believe that any particular belief system will have that much of an impact should this occur...I think it will be the fight for survival no matter who you are.
I believe that we are destroying the earth and that it will turn on us in the end..when and how I do not know...one thing I do know is that life will continue in one form or another. It may not be human life but something will survive.
No belief system will accurately tell what happens in then. In my personal opinion I don't think it is factual, but it may have ironic things in it.
Not sure how the power of love relates to prophecy of catastrophic events in the year 2012....
but love is a most powerful emotion and mothers will kill to protect their children; others will do anything to protect those they love and go to any length for it.
As to what may happen in 2012, we'll find out in a few years.
I think that 2012 we learn to use more of our brain, and hopefully disown certain hurtful traditions as a result.
I believe it's important for everyone, even highly spiritual people, to have a good understanding of how to live in the wilderness if society were ever to fall. Hunting, shelter building, and water finding techniques should be on everyones list. That aside, ultimately nature preserved many thousands of people over the centuries, to fall back would simply mean going back to hunting and barter.
I believe its imporant to know these things. It makes people more aware of their surroundings and the earth that gives us life. Now, as to if and when this 2012 hits....its uncertain. Who knows?
i somehow feel it would work for survival. but it is very hard to know in theory.
As you believe so you recieve. Love is a power! The strongest power of all. Experiment pulling weeds in a garden. First ,think about some one or thing that annoys you and the pull (the weeds break.) Now, try thinking of love or someone you love, let the feeling of love fill you, now pull the weed (the weed releases it's hold and comes out.) That is the power of love. Love heals, hate and fear destroy. They are lower plane energy. i imagine the love energy i feel,(by choise) for all the universe, has the power to connect with others who's belief is the same as mine. This "love-energy" will form a web around the earth and will help the earth to evolve the least violent way possible. we have the worst possible senerio(floods, fammin, earthquakes, etc...) or maybe we have an other outcome, a grander plan for the earth. A reflection of ourselves and the choises we make. So "BE LOVE" for now, and see how many weeds you can remove...I'll do my part best I can.
What I'm wanting to point out is this quote from the thread post
"To think nature will destroy us is wrong and very egotistical of ourselves"
How exactly is that egotistical for humans to believe that nature could destroy us?
Have you not see some of the destruction caused by nature on the news.
Storms, Tsunamis, Earthquakes and so on occur and are only getting worse, so I don't understand how one could make such a statement.
In my opinion nature is fighting back to us I mean we destroy everything and I think that statement is very true. But we destroy so much and it is no wonder that nature is doing all it has been doing.
According to the Mayan Calender, 2012 brings the start of a new cycle, I don't think it will bring the end of the world. A new cycle of 394 years 13 times, or something like that.
As for love, it's something that cannot really be described in other words except for that which is it's name.
These sort of predictions have been wrong so many times. I wouldn't fret about the contents of this book.
Wow this post took a couple of corners … lol
Em where to start ok Mitsix I feel it is very egotistical to believe nature will destroy us… who are we to nature…. Get the ego out the way don’t be so self centered, hard concept I know.
Sure earthquakes kill and so forth, however it wont wipe us out as a race, even this calendar we assume it’s talking about us being wiped out our buildings falling extra…. No mankind will survive sure there will be a difference.
My power of love not standing a chance against the love of power….. is a statement that shows the current state of mind.
We our hurterling along with technology we cant handle spiritually or mentally, burning forest for cheap ground to make cheap burgers and the land then becomes a desert a year later. Fighting for oil rights and old scores, the war right now will cost the usa 1,685 trillion ….. more was spent on weapon development last year than the UN needs to supply humanitarian programs for 300 years…. And this will be paid for by the tax payers n home owners for some time….. the world basically has a love of power and not a power of love… the 2012 will be a spark for change, id get in tune with power of love…
Interesting those who don’t see a need to know herb for medicine if it did go end up on 2012, or basic survival needs…. Like how to get clean water from a dirty river using a digging device and a fire… or what is food out there n what is poison… even basic like shelter… from the elements in all there glory…. All I can say is good for you, however could you explain how you might survive if society broke down… ?
Go back to hunting and gathering or very simple farming for you food.
Lavsibre even if society broke down we would still know the basics for survival because it is human insticnt to evolve and survive as we have done since early b.c. and before that in the old stone age.
I think Human kind might make it.. the power cravers might try to learn or just try to enslave those whom know what they're actually doing... but i think Most of us would make it.
Of course I believe being in tune with nature will help one survive.
Having some general street smarts won't hurt either. This is true whether we are in store for a catastrophe or not!
Of course, if it is coming - I better hurry and go through your herb books Lavisbre. This is my new area of study for Wicca and I believe there is a lifetime of learning to do on this subject.
So, in 2012 will we have to metaphorically do the groupie, goody flower power, peace man, thing to express love and the world will be saved? Sorry, but I find that a whole load of gullible bullshit. If the world is going down, it is going to need a whole load more than that to save it!
Remember the Millieum Bug? Oh, mercy!
^Peace man^
Far out man!
Perhaps many here are too young to remember just 8 years ago the 2000 OMG what's going to happen predictions we endured?
Who's to say that the 2012 event might just be an earthquake of over 7 magnitude in a populated area, tornado, hurricane like Katrina? Predictions can be just that and something to take under advisement and perhaps to check if your Ts are crossed an I's dotted, but not let it affect your life.
Nostradamus - what does he have to say? His prophecies are also to be taken into consideration.... but then, interpretations of prophecies can take many turns.
