I was conversing with someone on here about psychic gifts that she had and I had and wondered what other psychic or paranormal gifts you all out there may have?

For instance, I am an empath, and have flashes of snapshot visions occasionally. I can hear what others are about to say before they say it often and I also get whispers or implanted thoughts in my head about situations or like, "Turn here now.", sort of things and can avoid stopped cars. I also have strong feelings in places and absorb other's energy and subconscience feelings. Hard to know if it's mine or theirs sometimes.

What do you guys experience in the psychic/paranormal sense?

I have dreams that sometimes turn out to be premonitons, and if there not, there of the past, but its never my past, its things I have no idea how i know.

Name it and I probably have it. From Clairaudio, to clairvoyance. I am a natural empath, telepath as well as visionist. Though the visions usually take me to an individuals residence as I describe what they have in their living room.

Dreamscaping is also another atmosphere I wander into, the wispering in the ears happens quite often, usually when I am extremely focused on something.

I think most individuals that have troubles letting go of their day dreaming or waking dreams have these abilities, though it is not proven so.

There are plenty more gifts that I have, I just can't think of them at the moment.

same with me, I will sleep on it and i'm sure I will have a more intresting story to tell.

I have gut instincts about things that usually then something bad happens. Though thats about it. Nothig spectacular unfortunately :(

I have had several premonitons thru dreams.

i have abilities towards empath, my feelings are very attuned to circumstances and people... when i notice what's going on around me that is

my dreams usually are just personal, a way for me to continue to know myself, but when imy dreams involve others i can expect it to be very accurate
i have seen auras, but it's rare and i usually am very connected spiritually or emotionally with the other person

I get feelings that tell me when to leave somewhere or stay in one spot... They've never failed me and kept me from death quite a few times... I can also pick a depressed person out of a crowd of happy people even though that person may look perfectly happy themselves... I pick up on peoples moods without even meaning to.....

I see dead people..or more honestly I hear and feel dead people... Or at the moment of death...

I can read peoples thoughts, I know what they think before they are going to say it, or before they are going to go to that certain place they are about to go, I know their intentions, and only what I need to do is look at them. I understand easily how much they have in their wallet currently, or did they had sex recently, or are they about to. I feel in which pocket they hold their keys, I know, are those keys the keys from home, a car, or have they found them on the floor, stolen, or are they safe keeping their family members keys. I easily feel if they had the breakfast, or not, or what kind of breakfast they had, I can see if they are hungry again, and what they would like, or plan, for their next, meal. I can see trough their clothes if I focus hard, I see are they shaving their chest, or are they wearing exciting erotic under-ware like thongs. Not to mention, the most common thing, the most obvious thing, and that is, if they lie, or tell the truth.

Like said above we can all tap in to many gifts its just how well in tune you are with that side of your self. The more you are the more open to your gifts you are and how you can use them, the less you are the harder it will be.

I can heal but I don't do it often cause you feel the pain the other person is feeling and it takes some strength to due it. I have had dreams of the future as a child but I closed myself off to them cause I don't want to know my end.

I am an Empath, I easily pick up on the negative energies in a place or person. Some dreams that have turned out to be preminisions. I can see those that walk the earth that most should not see, ghosts or anything else for that matter. I heaer the voices of people from the past and enjoy carrying on conversations with them.

I'm still re-learning a lot of things I haven't been aware of since I was a child, but I am clair-sentient and (a little) clair-audient. I have recently started having, or rather paying attention to, premonitions. I have always been able to see apparitions and communicate, in a sense, with them.

When I was younger I used to hear the spirit whispering a lot, but I very rarely hear it now. I think as you get older you block a lot of this stuff out as the stresses of everyday adult life start to pile up.

I dunno, but if having an IQ of 157 by the time you're 15 is a gift, then I rock :)

In my opinion intelligence is a gift and a more useful gift as opposed to knowing if someone had pancakes and fruit juice for breakfast or whether or not they had underwear on ;)

Oh I don't know...sometimes it's handy to know who hasn't got underwear on ;-)

But yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes ther best gifts are those that can benefit others; intelligence, a kind heart, or a generous spirit. That's what really matters, not how far into the future you can see :-)

I have dreams alot that mainly end up being something that has or will happen. I also can sense negative energy from different places. I really am not sure if that is a gift. Sometimes it freaks me out.

I don't like pancakes. Anyway...
I think I'm a fairly psychic person all around, but if there's one thing I can often do that I haven't heard of anyone else doing, it's seeing things from a great distance... like being a psychic surveillance camera. Knowing where people are and what they're up to, who they're with, keeping an eye on situations etc. If it already has a name I don't know, but I call it 'psychosurveillance' though I am trying to coin a better word :p

i have dreams that become real about 90% of the times or ill have dreams that actually happened.. i can hear what other people think and see what they cant..

I am an empath, tried and true, through and through lol....thats pretty much the only 'gift' I have.

This happens to me alot and I dont know if it is special or not but I can think of a Tv show and the next one on is that show and it is the one I was thinking of

I have dreams that come true, it runs in my family. My mother and grandmother also have them, I have predicted deaths and births in our family. New relationships and break ups. Its odd but it happens to me that way.

i have dreams that come true, but theyre not of importantn stuff i can sense when something is gonna happen but i usually mix up little flashes of the future so it doesnt help me lol, it just confuses & misguides me :(

I think the Dream phenomena is more common than anything else, I myself have had a few episodes of the such. Though my ability to read aura is a little stronger not by much, I really only can see when I'm concentrating or in a stress/combat situation do to my extensive martial arts experience.

Yea, same here. I am what you call, a highly sensitive person. That can be good and then not so great. I am a healer too.

Referring to the post about who cares if someone has had pancakes or not, as a useful gift....it's not necessary about that info, but going by feelings and using your intuition can save your life if you listen, by telling you to avoid certain situations or people. I suppose if you want to use your gift as a meal planner or checker, then that's up to you, but it can be used to help others in wonderful ways, to ease the suffering of passed loved ones or saving a life, or helping the cops find killers or bodies. Depends on the individual. I think that statement actually says something, come to think of it. ;)

mine is sort of strange if a person is sick i can diagnose them before they go to the doctor. Even if the person doesnt tell me there sick.
My dreams and feelings while awake i listen to my body all the time.
Also my dog is the same if a person approaches me and she gives me a low growl i stay away from them.

I can pick up other peoples or places vibrations, especially if it was a violent event. I can talk to the dead in my dreams or "dream walk".

IM an empath i feel certain things and have slight images race thru my mind

I can feel what others are thinking, not read it but feel. Makes for a really weird time in a crowd. I have had times when I could sense some thing bad about to happen and I can read a lie like a bood

For example, i can often read thoughts of what ppl are going to say before they say it

I get vibes from things very strongly that warns me when to stay away or tells me when its ok. This is more in depth that intuition however

I also can see things sometimes.

And of course i can talk to spirits.

I used to do that quite a bit with the radio, too. I had forgotten about that til someone mentioned it. I used to start singing a song that would pop in my head and find it on the radio or it would come on. It was so cool. That doesn't happen to me as often now.

I personally can't say I have gifts of any sort other than my usual senses which sometimes can be heightened at times...so I do not know if these would be considered gifts in the sense you are referring to.

But I do believe with an open mind we are capable of achieving so much more.

well not always but when i do it's either in sight or sound and sometimes in knowing things when i have de ja vue exp.

I can see hear and communicate with the dead,demons ect. Occasionally when I dream which is not very often I will see somthing horrible that has happened when nobody else knows: like one of my very close friends (I will not mention who beacause of the nature of this dream) killed and buried someone years ago and I saw it and was able to describe detals and all to my friend. He knew about these gifts of mine but when I told him he was so shocked.

I will not say always, but quite a few times I have dreamed about something random. Seeing an old friend, meeting a new person, experiencing something true and with in the next few days my dream would be true. It could be a coincidence though.

I'm nothing special really. I think sometimes I'm a bit of an empath and there are times when I seem to know things...such as when the phone will ring and who it will be. I think we all have psychic abilities. Some of us are just more attuned to them than others.

I don't know that what I've found myself doing is a psychic ability or not. I tend to think not. I feel or sense emotions. I tend to think this is more along the lines of paying attention to someone. How they talk, how they look, the shift of their body and their eyes.

Who knows, certainly not me. Even here, when reading someone's journal or profile..I get emotional, whether it be a good or bad or sad emotion, I feel it. It's a strange feeling sometimes.

I do not know if this is a gift. But I can tell when people are sad, not all of them show it well. It is something in the eyes. My hugs make the pain go away.

You can be a psychic vampire. It is where you slowly or quickly drain the energy of the person instead on their blood.

My gifts are similar to others here. I have empathic abilities which help me to gauge peoples feelings.

I have intuitive flashes that come with images and whispers in the head. Such as slowing down when I approach and intersection and have a car run a light.

I get the odd dream that comes true, it will show me doing something or being somewhere. It will be detailed and in colour as well.

I am a tarot reader as well and my intuition along with the cards has made my readings very accurate.

I can also share dreams on occasion with my partner, although I think he is the one that pulls me into his dreams.

I have deja vue almsot everyday.

I have premonition dreams, I can give an acurate answer 100% of the time with my pendulum, so far for years never failed.

I can know when an event like a mariage proposale, a death or accident is going to happen

I can view what is going at times like I am there while being in a different location.

I am able to know when there is spirits present and comunicate with them.

my gift is i dream of the future. then it happens. I knew i was having a girl when i was pregnant even though they said it was a boy in the sono gram. I dreamt that a little girl was swinging on a swing and was saying higher mommy higher. My family thought i was crazy till my daughter was born.

i have many but i will not list them here only because and sorry to say but there are those here on VR who are nut cases and i hate some of the messages i get from them and their stupid Q's and no matter what or how much you terll them they just dont get it..

Well with me I have natural empathy and telepathy.Also has the ability to see and sense spirits.Is a natural medium as well as I can communicate with em to.Has some precognition as well but that comes and goes at times.

Empath, though not very controllable. I touch something and get the residual emotions from it and at times, visual of the person(s) involved.

This is hard for me to answer since I don't think of these things in terms of gifts but natural abilities most have. Some people more so than others. I call some things kwinkydinks...when I need something especially information it is there or I see connections to things and find ideas and information easily. I run into people the same way. I am technically a psychometric reader but I just don't like to do that. I am empathic and I have waking visions and very interesting dreams. I know on occasion I dream walk but I only go to what could be called the astral via dreams. I have never been able to get out of body in a waking state but I think that is due to my own reservations on the whole thing. I am hard to hypnotize and they say because my mind races. I am a very cerebral person. I don't want to say I hear voices because you know what a psychiatrist would say, lol...but I hear voices and mostly it is my name called. I have had my name called right in my ear and if they hadn't I would have been late for work. I have also been moved back and forth by whomever does this.

It just seems natural to me now. I do no psychic reading. When I found out that any good psychic can be no more than 80 percent correct according to other psychics...I didn't want to do it anymore because of that 20 percent factor. I trance but I have problems with that because I think I am too controlling and I don't want to let my self be subjected to something I feel is unknown. I do get into altered states though without fully opening up. I missed a bus stop once for one of the waking visions and the vision I saw scared me and I have never forgotten it.

i am not sure if it is a curse or a blessing. the ability to know what another is thinking only comes if i am close or open myself up and this can be daunting because when one opens themselves up many can then get in.

People have told me in the past that it was the work of the evil...I don't believe them.

I Have premeinitions(sp?) at times and some times I know what people are going to say before they speak.I usually have dreams about what is going to happen the next day at work and all.So yeah.

I am an empath, which is a gift and a curse at the same time.

I love the fact that I can feel what other people who are close to me emotionally feel, but it backfires when I, for example, go out on the weekends and get attacked by something. It really sucks.

I am a natural healer. I can reduce the pain level that someone is experiencing to somewhat non-existent levels, or I'll take the pain into myself so that the other person doesn't have to deal with it. I've been doing this for about 20 years or so, but became aware of it about 10 or so years ago.


I also astral travel. A lot. I love travelling to different places I otherwise wouldn't have the money to go to. Mostly what I do when I travel is keep an eye on things and take care of it if or when I need to.

I'm not sure if you can call it paranormal but I have very advanced hearing, which is quite surprising compared to some things I listen to.

I wish i could say i had a really cool gift or gifts...I am usually have to know someone really well or be around them a lot but after a while i tend to pick up or communicate thoughts to them...it drives the girls at work crazy sometimes cause i'll answer a question before they can ask when they come from our back room...Or be thinking their name and not say anything but they ask if i called them

With my mom and sisters it is more like knowing something is going on and feeling like i need to call or picking up my phone to call and there they are. I have good intuition when it comes to my loved ones

Well that works too. =) It sounds like there are many empaths here. So that gives me an idea of what there is most of in the world.

I would have a good instincts about people by the first five meets I can tell if there ok or just out for one thing.

Or may be that a womans instincts

I really dont think it is that one is more gifted over another.But more like some might be a bit farther ahead in their path.

I would be classified as a typical empath. I am highly sensitive to the emotions of others, I tend to pick up and carry on those emotions. I feel the pain of others as well as the joys.
I also tend to sense spiritual activity, but as I said before as an empath I sense emotional disturbances which often explain paranormal activity, the imprint of an emotion upon a place or thing.
I do feel that the term empath is thrown around without everyone knowing exactly what it is so here is a brief description:

The of my dreams and sences

I possess only that unique trait most historically identified with the actual Slavic Vampire, which is the same "dark gift" possessed by their ancient fathers, the "Fallen Angels," and declared by modern science to be "physiologically impossible" for Human males.

I dream with clarity and detail and sometimes I will encounter my dreams in my daily life. I am also very in tune/empathic with certain people. It's sometimes scary but mostly not.

i am an empath as well.i dont have quit all the same affects with it as you though.i do feel and sense what others are feeling,and sometimes when people are drunk or on drugs i get the effects of what there going through and feel the same as them.thats what pointed it out to me and now i am learning more about it

As to myself, I've been sensitive to touching places and items and picking up images and/or emotions from it. I never know when and what will set me off. Sometimes things just feel 'good' or 'wrong' when I'm around them.

I'll be in places and feel right at home and happy, and visit other places and feel 'wrong' about it.

Have touched items and seen the person that owned it and have felt sadness when touching a mourning bodice for instance.

I can sense when spirts are around, some of my dreams come true and I am a mild telepath, mostly with my family and close friends.

I also have a 'thing' with fire, as in i can control how high or low a match for instance burns, i have no idea if this ability has a name.

I have the ability to read people and their emotional state. I can usually tell when I am not alone, spirit wise, and I as well have dreams of upcoming incidents.

I am an empath and i can also see auras. I can sense danger up to 30 miles and can avoid it when possible, although this is not always helpful to my family. I can see into the future and sometimes read others minds. I can also see and interact with ghosts if I so choose.

oh and one I recently discovered, I can heal. I helped a friend with a sprained ankle and kept her from having to go to the hospital.

ya i agree with u on that i can only heal quick if i meditate 4 hours but im restless so i usually just say screw that

i think it can but i cant say yay or nay bcuz wut works 4 me wont always work 4 some1 else but try it i get it2 a trance like state when i meditate

I've never had the patience for meditation in the past but hey, i'll try it. I'm such a clutz sometimes, if i try to sleep my injuries away, i'll end up in a coma!

There are a lot more empaths than I thought, in a way. I mean, I know most of us here are sensitive. I like it that so many have opened up about it. =)

I've seen angels, shadow figures (spirits or demons), and I've used TK, not sure if that fits in the same category...

I've been told by others i seem to have empath abilities but i don't know for sure myself that i am. I was told that i seem to take on others' emotional pain and such but not sure what that really means if it means that i am anything at all.

I myself sometimes have the premonition dreams, and sometimes I know who's calling without looking at the phone...I can mainly do this with my husbands phone though lol.

Have I forgot to mention how I am extremely connected with my Celtic tarot deck. That rare gift allows me precisely with out mistake determine the flow of the future events with out mistake.

I have premonitions about natural disasters and catastrophes. I can see and sense spirits, but can't converse with them or communicate to them in anyway. I can find stuff by just concentrating on the object. I also am empathic too.

i dont have any amazing paranormal gifts but i do have a split personality and im a mimic .... proud of it to it comes in handy i can copy anyones personality and style

WHen i dream occasionally I will have a premontion.

Sometimes I can hear someone talking and there is either no on there or the person in the room has said nothing at all.

The phone rang one time and i jus said Dont answer it its alex i dont wanna talk to him. I didnt look at the caller id i wasnt even thinking of that person at the time..it jus popped into my head.

Well i have been gifted with being an empath, however not only can i feel others emotions, I can project my emotions a feeling onto others so that without a doubt they know how i feel in a given sitiuation. I have been able on multiply occations know what others a thinking and say exactly what they were thinking at the time. And the most fun is my voices... I head the voices of my past lives in my head as well as other voices in there, we have disscussions on really anything that i happen to think of... As well i have the natural ability of necromancy, not bringing the dead back to life, but being able to see and talk to the dead as though they were still here, this is truly a gift as my sisten has never left my side since the day she died 14 years ago.

I guess maybe empath? Within 5 minutes of knowing someone I can usually tell you if they can be trusted or not, have more baggage than you want on your train, etc. I'm right about 98% of the time, but I suppose this could also just be life's lessons learned.

I have been able to ready energy from metals and tarot since i was 14.
