ok the question just came to me! lol!!

if a vampire is dead! (hear me out!)
How in the world is there blood flow to enable that vampire to Sire another and turn them in to a vampire?

And can a vampire make someone become a vampire force them to drink their blood and sire them with hypnosis? or does the person have to want to bew a vampire?

The idea of an undead vampire would require enough suspension of disbelief already that trying to think of biological roadblocks for turning a new one aren't really in keeping with the faith necessary for believing in mystical vampirism anyway.

If you believe in an undead vampire, you believe in some magic or mythic cause. Therefore, biology in general is ill equipped to answer you question. True, that a dead person's blood flow has stopped and it doesn't have the circulation required to infect, but a dead person is also incapable of walking around or living forever so the argument was flawed from the beginning.

I think you have to want to for it to happen.

If we don't discuss fake Movie/fantasy land .. i think it's acquired ..... with time and effort, desire....

Yup... gotta say that an undead vampire has to be pretty magical... so magic keeps the blood from coagulating; that is to say, if the undead vampire even has blood. An undead vampire might not even have blood... it would seam more likely that a vampire wouldn't want blood weighing it down if it could; unless of course uses it directly for fuel. Then you would have to believe that the hunger would go away when full; but I prefer the endless hunger concept and that they do not store blood in their system at all.

I think you have a good point. Not only does dead blood coagulate but there would be no live heart beating away to pump it anyway. But since I have never seen the anatomy of a real vampire maybe it is still possible.

The answer is NO! If a vampire is dead, how the hell can they make another person a vampire??? Just not possible, I mean really think about that question people.

Folkloric vampires are reanimated every time they drink someone's blood, it provides sustenance to make their heart beat and blood flow through their veins.

Though, of course, that's just myth, in actual realities, vampires aren't dead unless they're dead for good =]

well i would just like to say the firstly vampires are not dead they are undead which means before they became full vampire their prior being deceased and thats when they were awakened to a living vampire but on the other parts of your questions at hand now days i find it up to the believer to their either of a coming to be a vampire or not i find many individuals still fall to the lore of television and myth rather than legend and history of vampires now days.

In the movie sense it is often referred to as a disease; and I suppose it is transmitted in the same way as most social diseases and not necessarily by blood specifically.

I am have not experienced this personally so I am unable to tell you for sure. I only know what I've seen in movies.

in movie since they are pretty much implementing that a vampire has some sort of disease that kills all organs and yet the blood still stays but doesnt coagulate... in sence you would be dead but with blood still in you, but instead of it being warm and smooth it would most likely be cold and thick...

thats why its so black in the movies! haha

I must say that even vampires might not like to be stereotyped by what is portrayed in the movies...lol

it is all hollywood. Real vampires are alive and movies ones are just that made up.

If a vampire were really dead there would be no blood flow, luckily vampires are alive and well and have a heartbeat just like anyone else

Ok, if I'm remembering correctly the whole process of siring involves first drinking the victim's blood until they're heart almost stops then ripping open your wrist and feeding the blood you just drank. So...in essence the victim is drinking their own blood that's just been "filtered" through the vampire. In this filtering there has to be some enzyme or disease added in order to "kill" the victim and then awakening them to walk the night...yeah...never gonna happen :)

Well no one has probably ever talked to a real vampire so no one really knows the answer to that, and no one knows for sure if it takes a person drinking blood from a vampire to turn that person into a vampire or if a person get turned into a vampire by just being bit by one...

well I believe he is undead as I have read and seen in many vampire books and movies so it just depends on the desire and where it is they want to go with that.

I believe that vampires are undead (don't flame at me) because I reckon that vampires are supposed to be dead corpses that rise from the grave at night etc. etc. I've often wondered about the bloodflow thing too, and normal body function. Perhaps a beating heart keeps the blood moving, if their heart does beat. Eh who knows.

when the undead like vampires need to sustain them selves long they need blood to do just that and taking blood from another and giving some in return that is what turns someone

I have always thought that a vampire was undead meaning he was a living dead person so if a vampire is able to live then his heart must be able to pump blood and i guess that would make a vampire able to sire another vampire...

ok we all know that the vimpires in movies are considered the "undead" which means there bodies are reanimated through magical curse or something like a virus.... so thats what makes their dead blood and hearts comeback to life. couple that with actual facts about the vampire bat (that you can find in any encyclopidia or scientific studies) the vampire bat HAS an enzyme in their saliva that prevents blod clotting.
so take facts of the bat and ad alittle folklore about undead and you have your modern fictional vampires of hollywood.

Undead is it's own category. The vampire is not dead --- there has to be circulation, and even elimination, because where does all that blood they're ingesting go?

Blood offerings were (are?) an essential ingredient of necromancy. Egyptian pharoahs became divine (immortal) by drinking the Isis' blood. In pagan rites, menstrual blood was probably used. The original vampires were probably connoisseurs of cherry pie.

Dead or Undead the fact remains that whom ever claims the title of Vampire will either say they were born from or its heritage..there is no way to really get a straight answer on this subject..

I think it couldn't be more fictional if it tried blood congeals within hours of death I never really grasped the idea of the unread to be honest lol

Blood removal did not always tak place upon a persons death. Dsintered corpses often showed vivid signs of life that were misinterpreted as vampirism. Read any histries of New England Vampires for more information.

i feel that the person does not always have to have the want to turn at that very moment
merly an underlying desire to turn and if the desire is there the person will turn weather forced or not it wouldent matter
if in a situation like this the person were turned against there waking will the turning may result in severe agressiveness from the fledgling vampire such as atacking and biting those who enter the room no matter who the person is and also in the oral destruction of things normally deemed inedible like books eventually the new vampire would return to normalicy and take to there new life

Not sure where the rumor that vampires are dead started. In actuality, they are usually called the "Undead", which in no way implies that they are dead in the first place.

Even were they dead, there is still the magic, or power they poses which would still allow for the transferrence of either blood, or the power that resides inside.
So much for movie "vampires".

Truth of the matter is, I am alive, hate the daylight, have extreme sensetivity to sunlight, sightwise, and have a taste for blood.

If I go out, I have to wear not only sunglasses, but a hat as well, because the sunlight is literally painful to my eyes.

Anyway, That's my two cents worth, LOL.
