I myself am a sang vamp and I have noticed that I can feel the presence of ghosts around my house a lot. Do you think that other mortal vampires are more likely to see or sense ghosts or not?

I need your opinions. Thank you

Vampires are more in tune with the world then normals so I would think that they have a better chance to but it really depends on the person so it’s a 50/50 thing.

that is a difficult question. it takes a certain perception to see certain things. when it comes to ghost or spirits though it depends on the spirit. if the spirit wants to be seen it will let itself be seen. as for being vampyric, i dont think it matter whether you are mortal or immortal. i know i see them all the time being immortal, but i know many mortals who see them quit often as well.

I think it really all depends on the person.

I don't believe that vampires are more likely too see ghost. I do know that babies and young children see ghost and spirits more often the adults do.

I would think that is completley determined by the vampire :)

While I agree that most vampires are more sensitive towards the supernatural world, I think it really depends on the person and how sensitive they are personally to the Otherworld and the factors that surround them (i.e. family beliefs, time of awakening etc...)

as a vampire we are morlike to see them for we walk in two worlds. this one and theirs

in my opinion i think as vampiers we can see and feel ghost more because our "third eye" is more open than normal people.

I'm not a vampire and I see spirits/ghosts all the time.

I dont think it has a direct link, it is purely base on ether you are gifted, skilled or just simply in relaiton with the paranormal realm, and have sens more easly able to feel, it has nothing to do with being a vampire or not, as if it has then many would be vampires ...and they are not

It has been said that we are born with the ability to sense these things. But as we grow up, we are taught that these ideas are not real. We learn to rationalize them, and eventually we block it out. This is why children are more likely to pick up on the presence of a spirit. They haven't accepted the idea that it's not possible yet.

But as soon as you give yourself the title of vampire, you are accepting the irrational. You accept the idea that it's possible. You're also a lot more likely to say something about it. Almost everybody will feel a presence over time; the difference is whether or not they have the type of mind that will accept it.

I think everyone is able to sense things around them but not everyone does. Babies and animals will see things but that is because the ability has not been conditioned out of them as it has with most adults

It does stand to reason that Vampires would be more in tuned with the spiritual side of the world. Therefore I believe we can see many things that the average person can't, ghost being just one of them.

Since Vampires are more on the level of spirits, it's possible that they may have more "sightings" than an average mortal. But, on the other hand, there are a lot of us normal folk who are able to sense spirits. Interesting discussion!

Hmm, in my opinion that depends on how sensitive you are to the spirit world as person. Maybe even vampires have to have that gift :)

Yea I think Vampires are more like to see or sense ghost because arent vampires the living dead, that walks the earth. There for having a closer feeling with the dead. Well thats my guess.

I think that anyone who is more in touch with spiritual stuff (including vampires) will see and sense more than people who don't believe and don't care.

I would have to agree it is a fifty fifty change vampire are in tune with the understand so it is very possable

Vampires tend to have more gifts, like three or four, than humans, who tend to only have one or two, so its more possible for vampires to have the gift of seeing spirits. However, vampires have the gift. The humans on this discussion obviously have the gift for seeing the spirits. It's possible for a vampire to not have the gift for seeing.

I honestly think that depends on what you mean by "vampire" and what you mean by "ghost".

Imho, everyone can see spirits and ghosts, they just need to learn how. It takes a little bit of practice, that's all.

I agree with several people on this subject. I believe that it strongly depends on the person in question. I have a very open soul and tend to feel the presence of other beings more aptly than some mortals I know. I also believe that anyone can feel these presences if they are open to the experience. It has been proven that young children and babies do see alot more than adults, mostly due to the fact that they have not been told over and over that spirits do not exist, which makes thier minds open to it more easily. My daughter "lilysdarkdaughter" used to be able to see and paint the aura around people when she was between the ages of 3 to 6. Although I never discouraged her, she has lost this gift; I am sure partly to the fact that she has been told that it isnt possible by so many other individuals in her life i.e. teachers, preachers, friends, etc. Whatever the reason, I hope that she will find that hidden strength again and open her mind.

I have had many paranormal experiences since i was young, and i thought that it was a coincidence, but after living in so many haunted houses i am starting to think that they are attracted to me. any thoughts?

Yes i belive they are, myself im not a vampire im still waiting to be awakened but im more opened minded about the paranormal which i beleive makes you more not so much able but better to see "ghosts" or other paranormal things

Very interesting question. I think that it depends upon the individual. Yes vampires are more intune with their inner being and have greater senses. But I believe that a human can sense the presence of the other world as well, if they are intune with their inner self as well.

Being an immortal vampire I can speak for the other side. I see ghosts a lot they dont try to hurt anyone ifact they're pretty much harmless. unless you anger them. but in sensing them I can pick up body heat readings or lack there of, and I can hear what they are saying if its quite enough.

An immortal vampire? Please explain exactly what you mean by the use of that phrase. Why would I ask? Because there are certain of us that do have particular needs in our lifestyles...there are certain of us that do fit the definition of modern vampire, but you know; of the people I know, not a god da*m one of us claims to be immortal in an immediate physical instance, so PLEASE...indulge us, the vampires, please tell us about how immortal you are, and what you mean by it.
Let me put it very plainly. There are a number of people who come to this site making lofty claims; people who list that they have lived for 2000 years on their profile...and yet, none of them know jack sh*t about anything; including basic English spelling...nothing...it gets old and is the mark of a role playing poser. So, when I see someone who claims to be an immortal authority step up on a thread and offer advice or suggestions based on said authority, would I take you at your word? Of course not! Prove it. i dont profess that i am a vampire, I have other senses, and I have seen ghost/spirits on a couple of occassions when i was a kid, i think kids have more chances to see ghost/spirits then anyone else

Yes. Because one of my ex girlfriends is an energy vamp and she CAN see spirits and talk with them. So, I think it's really up to how much you can open yourself up to it, especially if you can already sense them.

I beg to differ vampires are more open-minded. Open-minded to me would mean they didn't think such things were exclusive to them, or that they were more in-tune than 'regular people'.

Walking in the world of new age types for my whole life rather I liked it or not...those that would be open to claiming vampirism if that is what they were or felt- there are far more people that are just sensitive to spirits than there are vampires. In my humble opinion.

yes, i believe to some extent, vampires are more susceptible to seeing spirits. not much moreso than any other beings, but vampires' minds are much different than others. so that its easier to see things that others can't.

I would think it might depend on the person because some people have interactions with the dead and see ghost and they aren't always vampires

When I was a young child, a actually did see a ghost... It touched me and left a mark on my skin... I don't know if it's just me or if it's just this house, but it's interesting to think about... I think a lot of it is our extreme senses and connection to things... I'm a psy and I'm really in touch with nature and people, so I can see what you mean...

Thank you for all your answers. I do agree that children are possibly more likely to see ghosts because of the fact that they aren't taught yet to not believe in such things. I will keep this thread up for anyone else interested in responding.

I think vampires feel others around. I personally do feel ghost, however, it probally depends on the vampire.

Maybe more sensitive to the presence of a ghost (and keep in mind, some ghost can be visionary to anyone).

I think it's more of whether or not your mind is open to things out side of the norm. As a vamp you would already have accepted the fact that there are paranormal activities going on around us.

I am not sure if its a case of we are more likely to see them... as much as its a case of we are more likely to admit it. and not freak and assume we are seeing things or going insane.

I think it has more to do with your perception than the fact that you are a vamp but i relate in the fact that ihave seen and felt them all my life

We are typically more in-tune with the world, but it doesn't mean there may not be 'Norms" who have a higher ability in different areas than we do.

Being what I am, I know it is a far cry from omnipotence or omniscience. I believe that the person's own individual touch with the Ethereal can effect this. There are 'vampires' who are what they are, but they have never taken the time to refine their abilities.

There are some 'Norms' who have taken the time to refine theirs, so I would have to say it's a case-by-case thing.

Some claim that vamps are "more in tune"... Ive heard claims that they "are dead things or damned and therefore jabe lower senses to paranormal activity"

personally... I think its nothing to do with what you are and far more involved in your individual sensitivities

My thoughts are as most here in the thread..... vampires are not more likely to see ghost than any other creature.... I am also one of those who believe that there is no certain catagory of person that excells in this over another

As a vampire i have hightened sences and pick up diffrent sensations that soround me. I can feel the presence of spirits around me. it is an amaxeing feeling so i guess that you could say my answer to the question is yes i do believe that vampires have more of a sence of there sorounding and the spirit around them

i think every vamp, like every human, is different. some have certain strengths and weaknessess that others may not. im sure vamps are more open to the idea of ghosts and other worldly things and thats why it may seem that they are better equipped to sense and feel things. however, humans are the same way. some may be able to see and hear things that even vamps may not and vice versa.

I am psy as well and I do feel a presence here and there, not in my new house though, you would think I would being a 1920's home, but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the vampirism though.

I can't say that this is true for all vampires, but I feel that my senses are more sensitive that most people. I have always been able to sense the presence of either other vampires, ghosts, spirits, or other types of energy. The energy is what make me aware. When I first awakened, my senses were no so sharp. But, over years, I have developed my senses and am able to pick up on energies much easier. So, I do believe that Vampires can sense ghosts more easily.

not sure how well they see ghosts but im pretty sure there would good reason to be tormented by them.

I would bet that it is not just vampires who can sense the presence of ghosts, etc. It can be anyone who has a special sensitivity to the type of energy emitted or left behind by ghosts.

I believe vampires are more connected to the spiritual side.Most vampires work with energies in some form or another.If not to feed, to heal, travel, etc.And so I believe we are more atuned to that realm.

Im just a normal girl and Ive been able to see spirits my whole life. Now I have a bunch of them I talk to and that I consider my friends. Then again in real life people dont like me, but thats another story.
I dont remember where I heard or read it but I was told that if any spirits contact you youre not suppose to befriend them or trust them. I think I read it out of a Christian book since it said it is the duing of Satan. But meh, when they are the only frinds you have go with it!

I wont say much, but I think that it doesnt matter who you are or what you are...every person has the ability to sense the presence of energy from the other side. HOWEVER, most people choose not to use this ability. To some it comes natural, and to others its attained.

I would say that it is a damn good possibility because "your" more in tune with that end of the spectrum. I myself am not a vampire per say but I can feel presences also!

Anyone can be exposed to the paranormal....vamp or otherwise, I think vampires may experience things more often due to their open-mindedness on the subject....and I'm rambling again....

I don't think it would be any different between the two, or see a reason why a vampire would even be concerned with ghosts unless it was past loved ones or something of that nature.

vampire or not is a matter of ones attunement to the spirit world to wether or not you can see or feel spirits as matter of fact anyone can and does its just wether or not they accept or take meds
