A few years ago, my girlfriend (now an ex) led me to a haunted house not far from where I live (Cheektowaga, NY). It was close but in an area I never even knew existed. It was passed some side streets I've never taken in a small nook-like street that looked pretty much abandoned. On one side of the nook were some houses which looked like they could have been nice a long time ago. On the other side was an old manor. That was the house she wanted me to see. One step on the front lawn and I felt sick to my stomach. It wasn't long before I blew chunks all over the place. I have always been sensitive to places with spiritual energy but what I felt there was more than I could handle. It felt as if something was crawling inside my mind and shouted for me to leave and never come back. Whatever was there, it was neither good nor neutral. It was evil. I was one of those who signed the petition leading to the manor's destruction. I was planning on taking pictures of it before it was destroyed but it was done before the original scheduled date. I later discovered that the manor was home to a man who was suspected for the rape of over a dozen children until he and the children's bodies were found in the house. This was about 30 years ago. No one lived there since. Who else has a true haunted house story?
My haunted stories are all founded in rigged houses and the fun that was had developing them. Entertaining a group of friends with theateric effects is a blast, seeing how much you can do before getting caught.. and then finding out who will join the haunting rather then expose it.
people who are scared will usually take the option(if presented)to scare others.
The house I grew up in had a "ghost", lights would get turned off and on and things would get moved. Nothing violent or evil. I kind of miss it.
well its not a haunted house but where i used to live in California there was a haunted cemitary that my friends and i used to go to quit offten and it is still there the story behind it is that about 55 years ago there was a group of smugglers that used the area as a cash hold and someone fond it and called the cops. When the smugglers returned they found the cops there waiting for them and there was a shoot out and all the cops and the smugglers where killed and to this day they still roam the cemitary in search of revenge on those who called the cops on them.
I've never been to one but I'd love to, even though I know I will probably be so scared that I'd pass out after the third minute inside.
in the middle of the night i hear doors slamming but not all the time maybe twice a week
My experience with a haunting goes as such. As a young child I lived in (with my parent) an 1887 Victorian style home at the end of a long drive way. Not gated, but hidden with forestry. It was a 3 Bedroom two level home with all three bedrooms upstairs. Two on one end and one on the other. The one room that kind of existed on its own away from mine and my mothers room had a door that had not been renovated with the rest of the house. My mother always kept it locked. Of course i enquired her about it, but she always refused to answer any question I presented her with and never once gave in. I lived in that house for 6 years and never have to this day been inside of that room. Oddly enough, though nothing was ever done with the room, that is where it all always happened. Once a year at 11:37 pm on January 3rd, a window would be busted out. So once a year my mother had the window replaced; from the outside. She let know one in the room. I had always wondered what was so special or i guess not so special about this room. Once we moved out and I was 17 years old, my mother filled me in. Before we lived there, there was a family of three who inhabited it. A mother, father and a young daughter. I never got her age. This room was the daughters. She had Bipolar Disorder. On January 3rd in 1971 at 11:37pm, she had gotten so down that she threw herself from her room head first plummiting to her death. This my mother told me was the cause of the window smashing to pieces once a year. So why was the room always locked? Because the daughter always kept it that way, and the one time my mother entered that room, she was somehow locked in. She had to escape the room out the window. So in order for myself or anyone else to not have to go through the same experience she locked the door and threw away the key. Ive always wondered what happened to that house since we left....
I grew up in a haunted house.
I used to see figures of children and women come and go as they pleased.
No one was ever harrassed by the spirits.
It was actually quite comforting to know they were there.
I moved from the house when i was 15 and then it was torn down to make a mini mall.
Oh where to begin lol
My first experience with entities started as a child of which I call them "shadow people". 2 times they made close contact. One sat on top of me and the other flew up behind me but each time they felt heavy. There were times that toys would all of a sudden play while i was sitting with my baby alone. Usually happened while i was alone with her though. I remember being at an ex's of mine, and his window all of a sudden slammed in the kitchen and i asked him wtf was that..and he said "it's them" and i'm like, "them who?" lol and he said that there was once a couple that lived in the house and they both died. So they make themselves known every now and then. There were times the light would turn itself down, or i would wake up thinking i smelled smoke but there wasn't any. Things like that. It wasn't any place in particular. Strange things happened like that about everywhere I went. ^^ Over time I gotten used to strange activities and now it's like, nothing scares me anymore. lol
Well, when I was a little girl, around 6-10 years old (Which the following was probably just my little immature mind playing horrible tricks on me because of all the Horror Movies I watched) I remember seeing these hooded black figures. I could never see their faces, and their hands were always hidden. They seemed to follow me around, alot and I would only be able to see them in the corner of my eye. I think on it now and it was probably just my long brown/black hair.
Another experiance of mine was late at night, and my room is right beside the bathroom and as any little girl would be at the age of 9, they would wake up to get a glass of water or any other beverage, and as I walked past the bathroom I swore I saw a pale white Lady in the mirror. She had literally white skin, and her hair was a very bright golden color, and it was tied up in a tight bun on her head, she wore a white bed gown aswell. I was so scared I ran to get my drink and ran past the bathroom, afraid I would see her again. =/

Try reading this little tid bit i found. ^^ After hearing so many stories about them, and even from my mother who called me asking about them since her patients (she's a CNA) were mentioning seeing them in their rooms, and my grandmother confirming what i kept seeing from childhood to adulthood....I couldnt deny anymore that they are really not something of my imagination. ;)
That would be awesome. I think I would go back just to check things out too. ^^
I have one but rather not mention it cause it creeps me out
I've never had an experience, I'm somewhere between happy about that and wishing that I have had one, lol.
That's really a cool story though, I've never heard of somebody actually getting sick. Just getting mild vibes. That's pretty interesting.
I have had things move and disappear. We lost a castor to a couch. We had removed it to fix it. The next day we could not find it. We didn't find it until it reappeared the same place it vanished 5 years later the day we were moving out.
The sad truth is that some peoples core faith is crushed by not seeing or having ghost experiences, so many people claim to have encounters that it seems so common, whether people claim to have seen something that appeared to be a ghost or not is discarded for sensational testimony and those that here such things feel left out, that left out feeling drives people to cults that exploit their longing to see what others claim to have seen. as a person that once haunted houses I now relize i have lead people into compromising their core beliefs.
That is why I want to be claer when I say that if 1% of ghost claims are real they are the very subtle things. 99% are theatrics, and prop created just like in hollywood. If ghost existed like people on the fringe would have you believe we would be very disturbed by their numbers.
The house I live in now has an interesting history.
A man killed his wife and then himself. No one ever figured out why he did it. Sometimes I (and the rest of my family) get that creepy being watched when you're alone feeling. I tend to talk to whatever it is when I get that feeling. My family thinks I'm weird for doing it.
I think my house is haunted. Everyone living here and even the past owners have either seen or heard people. Usually it goes on as two girls yelling/screaming about something on the stairs. And then there's the guy who lives in my closet who steals things from me... But there's also a little girl. She wasn't orginally from this house, but followed me from the last one I lived in. The strange thing about her is that she doesn't have a face. A couple years ago I walked out of my room because I thought that my cousin has come over and he was sitting on the chest that was in the hallway. But when I walked up it turned out that it wasn't him. It was a little girl dressed in white. She slowly turned her head towars me and she didn't have a face. I got scared and ran back to my room, but she still comes around. I hear her playing inside my room sometimes before I go into it.
Well the house I grew up in was haunted and all my parents ever told me were "ghosts aren't real" Well you know that never helped explain the things I saw in my room . Which later in life gave me religous issues and a despise for christianity (long story there) . My house I just moved out of was a beacon for spirits . Always something moving around there . My new house isn't as active , but there is the occasional feelings of a presence .
I visited Alton IL a few years back on a ghost tour and had alot of weird sensations , but nothing blatent . Back last year we went and visited Waverly Hills Sanitorium south of Louisville KY . Let me tell you check this place out . I normally have to be almost smacked in the face to see spirits "a curse of my younger situation" , but not there . There was all kinds of activity there . Things that were non apparent to the group itself and things too behind us , following us ? Seen "spirits" looking around doorways after we had passed . I had to stop numerous times and take a couple steps back to really focus on things . We want to go back again and do a half night or all night search . I am sure of seeing what I saw and shadows moving where they shouldn't !
I have a few other stories too time consuming for here that have to do with bridges , odd light situations and such .
There's also a very creepy mirror at the top of the staircase. Sometimes when it's dark you can see a guy inside of it looking back at you. And there's a guy who walks around in the kitchen. The little kid that my mom babysits one day pointed into the kitchen and asked "Who's that?" No one was there though so it was pretty creepy. I think there are a lot of ghosts in this house...
In the old house I lived in there was a guy who lived in the hallway. When I was little I would run down it because I was so afraid of him. And at the very back room of the house when it was really late you could hear people talking and digging outside. It still makes me uneasy thinking about it...
When I was a kid our house was haunted. Things would fly off the bench in the kitchen even though they were a good distance away from the edge. I saw a shadow of a person moving from one room to another and when I went to have a look there was no one in the room. Haunted who knows we thought it was.
My whole street it supposed to be built on a victorian grave yard. The bodies were supposed to of been moved.
Never had any freaky experiences really.
Apart from there used to be a banging sound that could be heard late at night through out all the houses on both sides of the road. It had been there since I was a child & it suddenly stopped a few years ago.
Not a house, but a store. The Nordstrom Rack in Colma, CA is haunted. Everyone I've known who has worked there has had stories of clothing flying and moving objects. Most of Colma is cemeteries, so I wouldn't be surprised if the whole town is haunted.
A vacation suit over on an over seas island country (there is a reason I leave out the name) there is a ghost that appears out on a penisala
it has been photographed it has been filmed, yet you will never see a picture or a single viewing of it out side the manor estate, the room is reserved for 3 years at a stretch, it gained popularity after it was found that a couples annaversity was the likely time to witness it, visible only from the former seraents quarters at the edge of the estate. the apparition walks and after being observed turns to look at her viewers, fading away into the fog, the couple sells there anniversity booking to people, the reason you will never see a photo is that the manor provides all recording divices and if a someone sneaks in a recording device the apparition will less likely appear, the town folk all have the story down about a woman who caught her death of a cold because she went to the penisalal every night hoping her husbands body would wash up from a fishing vessel accident. I have seen footage of this very apparition and it is a very believable.
I dont have a haunted house story but I do have a I guess a story about a demon haunting... my parents went to see the Exorcist when it first came out at the movie theatre and they said the movie made them feel almost ill...when they got home the experienced things flying around the living room and the blinds rising up and down on thier own...then when my mom went to bed she felt pressure on her like someone was lying on her she couldnt breathe...scary stuff....yes, I do believe in demons....
well when I was younger we had a haunted house. The former person / owner, was murdered by her husband and buried in our basement .. we was always having things happen even was pulled down the stairs once by my hair and all my kid seen was my hair being pulled staight out from behind me and me going down the stairs.. very very proof positive LOL
Current home of mines, you still hear someone turning on the faucet at night and the television on. Also certain figures walk around.
that would really freak me out.Never been to a haunted house before but im a chicken and would be running in a heartbeat LOL
My house u hear the backdoor open and close. Someone walking up the stairs and they also move things. But it is fun having them around
Haunted House are great around Holloween time because to me their scary and plus the people who put it on take a lot of time to make those special effects feel like it should to scare people to believe their are haunted houses especially when houses are so run down and no one is living in them. I know I have gone in a few empty house that were run down and not lived in and when I did go through them it gave me an eerie feeling like something was going to come out and grab me and bite me or to something to kill me so that they can feed on my flesh. Weird huh!!!
iam a navy brat i lived in many houses and had many haunted EXP's #1 in R.I. there were these creatures that looked like velvet long necked wig heads with sharp teeth they never harmed me they traveled between the closet and the bed. #2 in Oregan when i played like my toy box was a coffin i was chased by something evil that had a shiney sharp object like a butchers knife when i went to scream nothing came out of my mouth. #3 in hawaii my dolls seemed to come to life and i could not stand them i distroyed 95% of them by dismemberment and fire #4 PA friends all tell me of the odd things that happened around me in my home books flying off the shelves super glued models to a desk moving and then replacen them self in proper potition i earned the name witchy poo in school and people feared me # 5 PA i got in a fight with my mother on the phone i wanted my purfume i was gonna wear that eve and it jumped off the shelf and flew across the room .... now many would say these were hauntings but sence they followed me from home to home and state to state i later learned that this is a common EXP that happens with teenage girls it is a poltergiest effect caused by hormonal changes
Well I have never entered my friends old house seeing how others now live in it. But one day we were on a bus going by it and she pointed it out to me tellin me that was where she used to live. The whole bus was very loud, everyone talking and what not, and s soon as we passed by the house the bus feel silent. I ahve the worst feeling that sent chills up my spine, made me feel ill and according to her my face went very pale. I looked at her and told her that I could not go near that house again. She told me about what she had experenced in that house, about the spirits she saw, told me about people who died there..It was a very disturbed place.
I've been to a few haunted houses. None that i've lived in personally but my aunts house is known to have strange golden orbs seen floating about at night and i've an old friend at whose home i have seen strange figures in empty rooms, lights flicking on and off on their own and doors opening and slamming. I also work with some people that investigate hauntings and have seen alot of strange things working with them.
HoodedDemon I have never seen anything I just hear whats happening. Some friends and myself have done some EVP's and have received some voices
That's a great haunted house story.
I have always lived in places with ghosts. I came to understand that it was partly me that they were drawn to. Lately, these past few years, little has happened in this house though. Damn.
We are avid ghost hunters. We go looking for them. They are everywhere. James Van Praaugh said that they are in places most, where people are afraid because of the energy they can take from.
The house I grew up in was a huge, old house, and was haunted. For some reason I was the only one that was really bothered by it. I heard bumping noises above me in the attic when I was trying to sleep. A stereo came on by itself one night and went off. Lots of odd things in that house over the years. We even got a picture of a guy standing in our yard, clapping his hands, that we could see through. Ghost. It was so cool. I wish I knew where that pic was today.
We have lots of orb pictures taken in various places and some mist shots. =)
I grew up in Ipswich Ma. Which is the oldet incorprated town in the US. Incorporated in 1621. Our town is steeped in hauntings and other occult history.
But my family bought an Irish Pub in historical Portsmouth NH. It history goes back to being an old Captains hosue. While the Captain was away the wife began an a relationship with one of the slaves. She as unaware of her husbans return and was caught. She and the slave were both murdered in the home.
After several yaers of being empty it opened as an inn and brothel. Sevearal years after they had been open a patren murderd one of the brothel girls. And the inn was closed.
Then it became a single family home through the civil war era. But due to the out break of consumption the family's son and neice both died in the home. The family closed the down stairs of the home for many years. They eventually rented it and the basement as an apothocary. Several years past and the pharmacist died in the basement.
After several years after the house re opened as a reasturaunt and rooming house. Stories range from lights going on and off. People being pushed down the basement steps, glasses being shattered while the resturaunt was closeds. Investigators have photographed orbs, shadows, appericians and faces in the mirrors And glasses breaking while bartenders were several fet away.
So is it haunted or isn't it visit and make up your own mind.
There is a mill near american fork that is said to be haunted, many people over the years have seen a man there at night, smiling at them, but he has also caused many accidents and forced the mill to shut down. I went there once but had a dark feel about the place and never tried to enter it, perhaps I will return to investigate it another time, but for now I don't think people are welcome there.
I have gone into places like this and experienced that same negative energy and wanted to vomit and had shocking headaches after wards... Soon as I get the feeling I get the heck out of there.
It's strange how some houses can affect those who are very sensitive to the energy around them. I guess, the deaths and arguments that took part in those houses leave such negative energy behind that those people immediately sense it as soon as they enter the premisses.
Our family home has visitors from time to time. The worst experience Ive ever had, was having our deceased neighbour Tom, walk through my bedroom wall and stand at the foot of my bed!
Other than that, we hear heavy breathing, footsteps or even smell scents like lavendar and rose. I think its a pretty normal occurance for a lot of people to have this sort of activity?
Not a Haunted House exactly, but I've been inside this old hospital in a town a few dozen miles away. It's abandoned, mind you, but there were a few things that could attribute to it being considered haunted.
My Dad's house is haunted but I don't feel the ghost is evil.. It just craves company.. It likes to lay down on the bed next to you and walks the hall way and stairs at night.. Somethings you can feel it pess up against you.. It can be creepy..
I grew up by a cemetery and me and my sisters used to see a ton of stuff all of us would see shadows in our house alot tons of stiries to be told.
I have had experiences of being in haunted places.
For instance, I was with my 2nd wife at a friends house
kickin it and nobody was there but us. When all of the sudden the bedroom door slammed shut. Theres no windows open, niether of us moved, no pets, no fans going, nothing that would cause the door to slam.
So I believe in ghoust, haunted houses etc., etc.
Right now I live in a place that somebody has died in. I've never tried contacting the deceased but I have had strange things happen like objects moving and drawers opening. None of this would happen in front of me. One thing that would happen frequently is I would put my charger for my cellphone on my nightstand and then leave the room. When I come back the cord for the charger is half way in the nightstand drawer with the drawer closed on it and I had the drawer closed when I set the charger down in the first place.
*WarriorinHell Being pulled down the stairs by your hair sounds like a grueling experience... Do you move out soon afterwards or do you still live there ?
never really experienced anything
would love to go into one though
sounds like an adventure
i beleive our house has spirits, i hear footsteps on the stairs sometimes, and sometimes i even hear someone call my name eek! i just always have the feeling that someone is watching me i get that alot it freaks me out, i would hate to go visit a house which was really hauted :-s
The campus i attended the last 2 years has a house on it that is haunted. The wife and a servant that lived in the house both were killed in the house. October 2008 the administrators allowed 30 students, a ghost hunter, a police officer and 2 faculty members to enter and see if they could find anything.
I was one of the 30 students who attended. And omg that's all i have to say. There was so much energy in that house it was amazing. We took tons of pictures and a lot of stuff was captured via cell phones and digital cameras. 11 out of 15 rooms we were allowed to go in plus the basement had a number of ghosts that were lingering around......One of the pics someone took was an outline of a body and someone captured a face on their camera.
Seriously no urban legend.......many of the janitorial staff, police (campus and town) and faculty won't go in this bldg even though it is opened for people to come into offices........b/c of different things that go on in the bldg during open hrs and after hrs.
When my Father was but a teenager there was a house on the corner from where he lived.. At night he said you could hear things there and that on the calmest of nights or days and without a single burst of wind that the swing on the porch would swing as though someone was on it..
The place where I used to have my former horse stabled was haunted.
Horses would get sick for no reason, but when they were moved, they got better. The horses and other animals refuse to go into the stables, it takes twice as long, I know from personal experience. I have also encountered the other ghosts. One night I was feeding the horses, I heard heavy footsteps behind me and a man(I think) breathing heavily. I felt watched and the horses scraped the floor and were scared. That is just the overall view on things I have seen there.
When we looked through the history of the place, we found out that the original farm that was there burned down to the ground. The owner died within the fire. The buisness was going slowly so he fed the animals poison to make them sick partially to keep the animals on the farm, so he could make some more money and for other reasons unknown. There is also a female ghost on the hay attic, although we have not been able to find something on her.
My old house in colorado was haunted.. crazy stuff going on there.. ive always been intreiged by the stories of rose red..
There are many places here with such a history, I remember one house in my home town, the husband in a drunken rage killed his wife in the living room, he later took his own life after she layed there on the floor slowly dying. Many people have seen the blood appear on the floor in the early eve only to disapear by morning again, and some say they have heard the weaping of the women crying out for help in the night. Sadly this women was a dear freind to my mother in her younger years. I have been to the house, it doesn'f feel evil but there is a definate sadness in the home for the restless spirit too early taken from this life. I hope one day she can find peace.
my cousins house was haunted but it was not evil it liked to play there were 4 people that were murdered there. there was one that did not like women though but i'm not sure why that is. but it has since burned down a couple of years ago though. but i always liked going there
that is the only house i lived in that was haunted though
I spent the night in a haunted Tudor mansion once. It had webcammers waatching it and spotting things. I saw nothing :-(
I have been in a home where "gracie" the spirit of a 4 yr old lives and plays with any rubber ball...spooky shit
when i was growing up there was a sopposedly haunted mansion called the hayes mansion and it was a creepy looking place with vines growing all over it sorrounded by a huge abandon theme park. It was all boarded up and i never had the courage to go in. I always regret that decision even tho i was only around 8 and by the time i got older it had been renovated into a business center and hotel. The only other mansion around here that is sopposedly haunted is the winchester mystery house wich ive been in but have had to ghostly incounters.
Well where we live right now 2 people for certain have died in our house a 11 yr old boy committed suicide in the upstairs bedroom and and old man died in the basement, every now and then you can hear the door closing in the closet upstairs even though there is no longer a closet there and you can here someone walking up and down the stairs.
Another place s where i have a few friend live the very first day i stepped foot on the property i felt sick to my stomache , the boys mother was hatian and practiced voodoo and there father well he was a very bad man their mother died a few years back and lef6 the boys with there faher and he treated them badly we ent over to help the bpys withnthanks giving dinner last year and the minute we walked in the house i wanted to leave it was the most evil unwlecome feeling i have ever felt in my life the boys are afraid of being there but it was there mommas house and they dont want there father o get the house. i ave not set foot back in that house since that day

I lived near a farm with a haunted house. sopposedly a whole bunch of college kids got drunk and murdered each other. Im not sure if its true never looked into it. but it does have a mysterious vibe to it.
I was staying in a resort in Orlando outside of WWD. there were 5 floors of suites that could be rented. We were on the 5th floor. The only thing above us was the roof. The whole time staying in the room I would hear the sound of a lady in high heels walking above the room. I went outside to see if maybe there was room for a attic but there was not. during the stay i decided to take pictures of the place and when viewing the pics i noticed several orbs in the pics. Looking back I wish I would have had my recorder with me so I could have done some EVP's
The house I was born in was haunted; I like to think that's why I have clairsentient ability now.
The ghost was that of a man who died in the pub a few doors up the road from the house; the pub and the houses leading off from it are all haunted.
Then when I was 2 we moved across the road to a house which was built on the grounds of an old cemetary, so that was ahunted too. And I had the ghost of my grandad Jimmy watch over me up till about 7 years old.
They say that some of the old ghost towns of the west are haunted. Could any one give me a resource?
EVERYTHING in michigan is haunted.
Mt Pleasant Michigain "michigan center"
There is this place called "the indian school" locals won't really talk about it. Just driving by gives u creepy crawlys. It used to be an old indian school until 1934 then ALL records to the facilities stop. It became a mental hosptial for the criminally insane. Only there was no fences or electronic locking doors and the inmates frequently wandered off the grounds and killed the towns people. The really bad ones they chained to the building outside u can still see the chains. It is said inside u can still see blood stains on the floors. Like I said there are no fences.... u can walk right up to it. Contact me if anyone is interested and wants more info. I also live across the street from a listed haunted cemetary in st john's.
My family home back in the U.K. is haunted, it was built in 1564, just the odds are in favor of it being haunted.*lol*
I know as a child, I have passed someone going down the stairs as I was coming up.
And the story about our rose garden is whenever something really good is about to happen one can see a man and woman in the garden. And hear their laughter and seeing them moving about the grounds hand in hand. It's supposed to be my distant relatives.
I have lived i several haunted houses and I loved it. Now I live in Cheney and this place is not big on that stuff. :) Darn it! hahahahaha
i love them, why, because they are haunted
they are filled with spirits that were trapped on earth because of the stupidity of the weak minded sheep who want them here.... let the dead person be dead, dont try to bring them back....
since they are still here.... i make use of them
Another good question!! If houses can be haunted, can't old apartment buildings be haunted as well?
yes, very much so
a school, mental hospital, medical hospital, jail, etc... anything can be haunted
Basically anywhere that some one has died can be haunted. The list and possibilities are endless
i think a good website would maybe be www.ghosthunters.com
lol I wished I still lived in spokane in this neat house that was haunted. :) I love haunted houses!!! :)
I did live in a haunted house for about 11 years, in Habana Cuba, the old part of Habana. Where the bathroom was, it was a long dark room, only about one third was actually lit and used, the rest was dark, but on the walls were the iron rings where the slaves would be bound to. It was a very dark and fearsome part of the house
i have never been to a haunted house...
i would like to visit one...
my friend grew up in a haunted house...
she would wet her paints every note... she was so scard...
although, i might be scard too living in a hanted house...
Have you been back to the area? Did the destruction make your feelings go away? I would think the area would need to be cleansed. I have always been sensitive to things. I have not come across any that gave me the feeling the original poster decsribed. Growing up, I always insisted that my parents house was haunted. I would ask had anything happen there that they knew & was always told no. It was not until recently that my older sister let it slip that in fact someone had died in my old bedroom. My parents gave her a horrid look for telling me. The person was very over weight, so they were taken out through a window. I guess even though I knew it had happened, they thought as long as it was never admitted to me that I would forget or something.
The house that I used to live in was full of spiritual energy. I used to see a figure outside of my home every now and then, sometimes when I came home in the evening, thinking that someone was trying to break in or play pranks. The figure would then disappear. We later discovered that the owner died of cancer in our home. A church used to stand on the same land our house was built upon. The energy of the house was not negative, but rather depressing.
I have had a ghost living with me for the past 19 years. Several other people have seen what she can do. She has only showed herself to me one time. She is quite the jokster as she likes to play with things. But, if she doesn't like you then look out. I thought she had moved on but she has made her presence known to me in the past week. I was scared of her activites at first but have grown used to them by now.
You can haunt any house, while you are alive if you are good enough with theatric effects, I mean who doesn't want to scare the crap out of the person that always talks about how tuned into ghost they are.. I mean when I meet a person that is totally a self proclaimed spirit guide reader or something, I throw a party and after things settle down to a parlor type setting I let loose with my own "conjuring". They get spooked like every one else..
This is going to be long. But when i was about 17 years old. Soon after the death of my grandfather, I saw something very "odd." My grandfather lived with my aunt. She live clear out in the sticks of Michigan in a great big farm house. Well, one night i was sitting in the kitchen at the breakfast nook watching TV. The bathroom door slammed shut HARD. Scared the shit out of me. I waited about 10 minutes. I walked over quietly calling my aunts name, and she didn't answer. I thought it may be her. I slowly opened the door and reached in and turned the light on and the room was empty. Everyone in the house sound asleep. I knew it couldn't have been my aunt because i would have seen her but i was hoping. People I tell this to say it was the wind. But could a small breeze, on a perfectly still night, in a house with not 1 window open slam a door? And besides, the bathroom window had to be nailed shut because it kept opening itself, like my grandfather always did when he went into the bathroom. Weird huh.
Ive never actually visted a real haunted house, i think, the only ones ive been too, are ones that are publicised, like the one in stratford up on avon.
In my old house there was a lady ghost stalking around at night, she used to move around things. I caught her "red handed" so to speak one night she was moving my hampster cage, I used to keep it ouside my bedroom since they made alot of racket at night, beeing hampsters. And one night I woke up and she was standing next to my bed with the cage in her hands I screamed and cowardly hid under my blankets, when I was sure she was gone the cage was standing on the floor next to my bed and both my hampsters where dead..
My haunted house story is very simple. I used to live in a trailer in South Carolina, and there was a teenage boy that used to stand in the doorway of my bedroom for all of two minutes and then disappear. Nothing spectacular.
Oh wow. I wish, but am also glad I don't, have a story like that to tell. I will say this though...when I was younger, I was on alcatraz with my family...I think I was like 10. Well, I got separated from the "tour group" because i stopped to watch something interesting with the cells. But the entire time, I always felt like I was kind of being watch. Like something as waiting for me to REALLY mess up. That's probably the best I can do.
i believe, other than man made ones, haunted houses are nothing but our mind showing us what we want to see. we create it ourselves not even knowing it
Not necessarily. Like my story above. I had practically grown up in that house. And wasn't expecting too se a ghost or any strange phenomena. But that door slammed HARD!!! It slammed so hard i thought that the door would have busted. And my ex said it was wind, but no open window, and besides, even a strong breeze wouldn't make it slam that hard.
being a pharanormal researcher and in a research group i have had some interesting houses ive been in that we did find activiety in. one of the most interesting nights was when we investigated a house that sat right next to a cemetery . the husband and wife who owned the house said they had things disapearing all the time not to mention there small children being affected by something and countless noises(footsteps bangs etc.) and voices being herd . one story they told us of a day they were up in the bedroom and there youngest two was playing by a window they said it looked like the child was picked up and was hurtled out there bedroom window. mind you there room was on the second floor. they freaked out and ran down and outside to find there 2 year old playing on the grass by the tree 8 ft from there house. not a scrach on him... when we went in to investigate that night we witnessed some strange occurances and got many many many evps ( electronic voice phanomanons) and most of them what sounded like small children . we also got a few things on video of things moveing. so that was for sure for me the most enteresting haunted house i had ever seen.....the husband and wife felt it wasnt safe for there children any longer and shortly after our investigation moved out and sold there house.
The reason why I asked about haunted apartments is because I live in a 3 story apartment building that has 6 more buildings surrounding the complex. But its behind and airport and with all the dark woods in between I was thinking of going out late one night and looking around but would feel scared if I felt vibes or physic energy that is around this complex. Is it all possible?
anything is possible when it comes to pharanormal . but take in mind late at nighht in a wooded are you could also hear things that are not pharanormal. could be animals makeing noises or movieing around . if you go take a tape recorder with you of some kiind you might pick up something unexplained.
one of the first houses that my friend lived was haunted. I dont really know the whole story, but she was telling me about how her room had mirror tiles on the wall so it could fashionally cool or something. Anyway... one day her cousin was upstairs in her room with her and they had a screaming match and they were leaving to go tattle on eachother and she shut the light off and she turned to shut the door and she saw a guy in the tiles, and she freaked out. Then a few days later they moved out of that house and no one has lived there since...
I grew up in a really old old farm house and the second day i moved in I saw a women at the top of the stairs.. i thought it was someone that lived there right before me and forgot something. But she was wearing a old fashion dress and she vanished in thin air when i wen to ask her if i could help her.. I mean like vanished .. it was freaky.. but yet i felt safe in that farm house always.
a woman died in my house, later I found out my room and when I was younger I used to swear I saw here crawling out of my closet and it scared the hell out of me. Later as I grew older I found out how she died, she was killed in my closet and she drug herself out to the room and was shot agian. very creepy if you ask me.
i dont have a story to tell but all of these are very interesting
Interesting stories I dont know of haunted houses but have been in old chures and other buildings built by convicts etc and I feel like there is someone there behind me even next to me have said it heaps of times to my cousins when the have been with me I tell them of what the spirit looks like to me and yea they find out and its one of them. Even where they once shot a film and I saw blood and things in this red dust that they couldnt see and yes a stunt went wrong with a car and they go ran over but didnt die
There was a house on this island I lived on that was said to have belonged to a satanic cult. I did go in there twice on dares and out of my own curiosity to check it all out.
The first time I went in the house I noticed some old furniture a broken down piano, even some old pictures on the walls. I went up stairs with my friend and a door slammed which scared the heck out of us. We went into the bathroom and the bath was full of water... when we walked past a few minutes later the bath was empty and had no sign there was water in it. So we decided it was time to leave and when we got down stairs the room with the piano was rearranged.
The second time there were 3 of us and there was a worn out teddy bear on the stairs and nearly every room went into the teddy bear was there waiting for us. Then when we got to the bottom of the stairs the piano keys started moving like a cat was walking across the keys.
Unfortunately a few years later it burned to the ground.
It was deliciously spooky.
one of my foster homes was haunted if u left a door or cabnet open it would suddenly slam shut and i could always hear footstep comeing up the stair like some one with big workboot but everything i looked there was no oone there
