honestly it is nice to talk and meet new people with the same interests as myself and there are always new and interesting people here that i enjoy my time talking with i feel this is my family huge

friendship and knowledge i would say is the reason to why im here.

Knowledge is a main part of my being here. Both gaining and sharing.

Friendship is a smaller yet main part too. I am choosy on my friends.

But the biggest part of why I am here: To enhance those parts of me that I like, to assist is ridding the parts I don't and to find more of me. I will never be whole but I know I can become stronger here on VR.

Someone in one of my other groups mentioned VR and I came to check it out. Usualy I don't join online Communities, but I've found VR uses a different approach than the other Vampire type Communities. I'm not easily impressed, but it's now almost 4 weeks since I've signed up and am here every day and enjoying it!

I've learned a lot in the Forums and hope to gain more knowledge and meet others who have the same interests as I do.

I like the fact of meeting people that think, say, and are similar to how I am with things. It's nice to know you aren't the only one out there that "normal" people call weird!

I don't really think meeting people has anything to do with it, since if the individual is that shallow to meet society online and not off, deems that individual to have no life outside the web.

It is a good way to improve your communications skills if that would be a justified variation of "meeting new people."

As well as improving on the individuals css skills, page template design since all members have their own pro's and port's.

Personally, it is not what I want, but what I have to give.

Personally, I joined out of boredom. The forum discussion/debates is what attracted me to join. Oh how times change!
I've made friends since joining, but it's not the reason I joined, and as another member osted above, "..it is not what I want, but what I have to give." I stay for friends I've made here and to support the site and it's needs.

i am here for knowledge. and i think that most of the people here on VR are very knowledgeable in the areas i have been looking for.

A good point made by the last to posts in this thread. I do learn a lot from others in the VR community.

I came here originally to seek knowledge - enjoying other aspects of the site as well.

i have what i want from VR. I have the greatest friends a family I absolutely love and unlimited knowledge of things i know nothing about.

a friend told me of vr when joined I wasnt too sure of it at first but when I stayed with it I got hooked due to the awesome people that I met on here plus I love anything that has to do with Vampires

I'm simply here to meet new people, learn a little, and express myself.

I come here because I enjoy this site. Vr has helped me out alot to where I'm not as shy as I was to talk to people.

Shared knowledge. New friends. Interaction between all different types of personalities. Basically everything VR has to offer.

I'm all about making new friends. That's always great. The great thing about VR is that I have found so many people that have a lot of the same intrests as me. So I'm happy.

I really do love it here on vr its a good place to meet friends and interesting people and a wide range of different interests and belives. This is like a family to me and i love it

i was down a pub n next thing I know I woke up here, had a lump on my head and have been wondering the dark passages looking for the way out for some time now……… lol

VR is to me the virtual "Cheers" where I stop by everyday, just to see who is around and how life is treating them.

It's a way to be social but maintain the control of the "off" button when I want to have fun, but do not really want to go out. Consider it my place to just be me and relax.

Oh and the drinks, I know they lie about them, so I brought my own :)

I get alot of Knowledge out of VR there are many intellegent people on here that start great threads and informative knowledge for the members. That is one of the main reasons, then I alsohave met many people on here that I consider very good friends, I mean it is refreshing to be where there are like minded people as myself and wonderful conversations.

I came here for universal knowledge, but I've stayed because of the flying ointment.

I also came for the knowledge, and ended up making great friends as well..

I think it's pretty cool to read about people's lives...I wish I had more time on here...

It sometimes makes me feel like there are a few intelligent thoughtful people out there!

I myself am here to find like minds and I do not pretend to be something I am not..but I do like to learn from others and gain knowledge. I am here to help others and to be a valuable part of the sytem itself and hope that I can make a difference in someone's life just by being me and making some wonderful friendships that will last a lifetime!

In the beginning to meet other like minded individuals, to learn from others as there are some pretty smart cookies on here and some are just plain interesting. And now that too but also I have formed some lasting friendships that go beyond the internet that I cherish.

VR is an outlet for my anger... ^_^

i joined to just read and learn.... now i have come to make a number of friends here... have met my boyfriend from here as well. so i would say i want to continue to make friends here because everyone i have met is wonderful. =)

Everyone is open-minded and also can be helpful. It is a site where we all seem to have common ground and respect each other's beliefs.

Yes it does kill boredom, but it has also became a habit for me to come on here.

I joined VR for the knowledge that is abundant in the site. Meeting new people is always great.

The main thing that I have found is that I enjoy helping people and teaching what I know to others. For me its just being able give something back to the knowledge that is within the world.

I enjoy the awesome talent on here, people expressing themselves through art, photography and the written word. It's nice to meet people from all walks of life, I really like that.

What do I want out of VR?

A little intellectual stimulation. To share, compare, and contrast ideas. Yeah. That is what I want.

Oooh, I forgot to add healthcare. I wouldn't mind some free healthcare out of VR. I know that is asking a lot, but you did ask what I wanted out of it.

All I want is too meet that occasional diamond in the rough that holds a good conversation and to occasionally learn something. Nothing more really.

It's nice to talk with the normal people ( VR ). Too many people are closed minded. Plus you guys are fun. : )

The feeling of belonging in a community, even a cyberspace one. A place to be myself without fear of judgement or recriminations. Unfortunately, even on a site like this, judgements occur, but on a lesser scale than most other sites.

I know it sounds corny, but i'm here because i feel like i belong.

I had what I wanted, a place where to discuss, where to meet people who I could have a lot in common and a Journal to write my thoughts.

Friendship and Knowledge most definetly. I have talked to some really amazing people on here. And have had the privilege of talking to a few offline. And I can honestly say that most of the people I have had the privilege of speaking too have taught me alot. Not only that but helped me learn things about myself.

I am inquisitive by nature so when I came across this site 4 years ago I got hooked. The forum pose some intriguing questions and answers, and the feed back is incredible. I sometimes find answers to questions that have been on my mind for ages on the forum.

I have also made a few long standing friendships on V.R., I do have a very active social life, but in the mundane world there aren't to many people to discuss the things I find fascinating.

I guess besides belonging, I also came to share my knowledge with people who were willing to listen, and thats the great thing about VR, everybody is willing to listen.

LOL I just want to finally level up again.

When I first joined V.R I didn't really know what to expect. In a way, this site has helped me to become more positive in my writing and photography. I have recieved positive reactions to my work, and some constructive criticizm. I have met alot of really nice people on here and I enjoy talking to them on a daily basis. I do enjoy the discussions that take place in the forum...what more could you ask from this site? I love it.

To share info about my kind, Sanguinarian, with others and exchange knowledge in order to provide an even deeper database of knowledge for other members to arrive here in the future.

I joined namely for the interesting info debated; but have made many close and dear freinds while here. I love the site and those here, it keeps me comming back every day.

I dont really ask for much from this site. I treat it as it is - A Social network specifically for people who are more towards the darker side. Thats what makes VR different, in which it is original (Except for VampireFreaks which i dont go on)
When i come on here its mainly just to see what people are talking about and whatever.

I was curious about the Rave because my wife loved it so much. Now I find that I can learn so much from the people here. I can feel comfortable talking about strange and unusual topics because the people on Rave are not as closeminded about such things. Also my wife and I have learned to be more creative with photoshop. The Rave inspires us to do more artwork.

Other people & their thoughts interest me. I like to see how people portray themselves through their profiles & it's fun to chat to strangers!

All I want is to meet/talk to new people. The occasional bit of new knowledge is also nice.

And, of course, as the "Great Savage Ant" said it does help with some boredom from time to time lol
