I love how this site brings all types of unique and interesting people. I have already met some of the most intelligent vampires.
But, being such a unique site and forum, do you think people get too lost in the fantasy world to the point that it's a bit obnoxious?
I have witnessed a few people who have said the most outrageous and blatantly unbelievable things on this site. They seem to lose touch with what an actual vampire is and delve into the world of science fiction.
For example, a nice young girl I know has the most out there theories.
"I'm a vampire, witch, werewolf, and flesh eating zombie by night. Aha!"
Is it just me or have people noticed that others with unique beliefs tend to get too lost in the fantasy?
I've been here for a year and I've seen lots so it's not only you.
Most do it cause they seriously believe they're going to get taken seriously andp oeple will say:Wwhoa really? You are cool!I'm scared of you!
Pity that most peoplel augh at them.
Therefore let them livei n their fantasy, when they'll realise reality it will be a blast and a door for adulthood.
I believe it happens, infact there was a person here once named Empress, who seemed to be too lost in her own Fantasy world to realize anything. Not to mention she pissed off a lot of people with her attitude.
As for those who believe they are of clans and have special powers like shift into mist, yes, there are those on this site as well, and I personally do not feel sorry for those who are willing to loose themselves to something that is very much obvious to be fantasy.
If they are stupid enough to believe they are Cain's children and are apart of the 13 clans who all hate each other, but are split into three fraction, then thats fine, let them believe that. I won't wast my time on trying to tell them other wise, because people like that, tend to freak out when "Their" reality finally falls apart around them or is put into question.

*Picks self of floor and brushes oneself down after i stop laughing*
Lol!
I even get similar private messages,do they really think that am going to get impressed?
Jeese I wasn't born yesterday!
It gets pretty sad, I had one person calling themselves the Antideluvian of Lasombra and if I didn't stop pissing him off or stop commenting on his post that he would come over and take my soul.
Needless to say after I challenged his ass to show up and talking to the Admin of the site, he didn't show up and was kicked from the site for threating me.
People need to realize what reality is.

I think I am a little lost in the fantasy...but maybe in a good way. I usually have a pretty bad day at the hospital, with all the blood cancers and sick people...when I come home and enter this site, suddenly I am a different person... I try to live out what I wrote in my stories, I am the character I play in the role-play threads, I try to serve my Coven Master the best I can and, of course, Our Prince...
If I can help and I am asked for help, I offer it...
Am I to blame? I am too lost in the fantasy?
But yopu mentioned Role Paly we are saying about people who really beleive certain things of themselves.
And when I say really I mean in their mind.
*shakes head* it takes all kinds...
I had a guy in a bar try to convince me he was a CIA agent, lol
Let us not forget that many minds are fragile and taking away what they truly enjoy (whether they know it's real or not) can be detrimental. While it can be overwhelming to listen to the claims that some make, it's really not hurting anyone. Don't get me wrong, a lot of what I see and hear is so far fetched, it's beyond laughable. As long as it doesn't hurt me personally (or anyone else) though, I say let them have their fantasies.
You're bound to get fanatics on all big sites. People who sit at their computer all day and do nothing but talk about who the wish they were and eventually they think they are that person they described. Thsoe types of people should get help but they are not all bad. Let them believe what they want, dont get mad at them, people dont like you for reasons, you dont like them for this reason. Dont be hypocritical. Besides, everyone is allowed their opinion, even if they are wrong. You can't change their mind because you want to. Good post though.
Fantasy is a great thing,
but some people just go too far with it.
and some just want to be noticed,
i hate to use the term attention-seekers but....
Those who really believe in what they say they are kind of scare me...I was...let`s say scared...by someone who described how together with his/hers group members they meet in some locations and basically they drink blood from one another...
blood drinking is not an upseting practice as long as the proper safety precautions are taken with both the drinker and the donor.
Yeah, blood drinking is real. I believe vampires are real. not the shape-shifting, murdering, raping, flying, undead creature of the night, but people that are able to take energy from others in some way. I know that to be true. But not what some of these people claim to be or do.
Yes, I do beleive some people get too lost in their flights of fantsy that they loose touch with the real world.....
It's sad when people have a hard time with fantasy and reality. Like Ahriman said, after a hard day at work, and some of the things that people deal with on a daily basis, having a safe haven to share the other side/nature of us.....too lost in the fantasy?
Blood drinking, with all the precautions, it is unsafe and useless!!!!!
The blood coagulates quickly into the stomach, plus the blood cells are destroyed by the acidity and other proteasys and enzymes that are found in the digestive system...it will be more of a help if you`d have blood transfusion...
Have you never cared for a vampire, Ahriman? They found a way to use the energy in it. Its not the blood, its the energy. It all has to do with energy. And your opinion of it being unsafe, thats your profession talking, in my opinion. It can be done safely, its done all over the world safely.
*Takes out the white flag*
Fantasising does not harm,I'm always day dreaming, but in the end I am aware of who and what I am.
But then am going to say a provocative tought,if certain people stop saying they aret hings they're not, people won't mock them nor those who are in the vampiric, gothic, whatever scene.
Surely other people choose not to understand but part of the fault is f these people that claim they are something they're not.
Blood drinking may not have a nutritional benefit, but it is a recognized fetish and does have some satisfaction for the people who practice.
Yes, there are many here that cannot seem to distinguish fact from fantasy. It is annoying because you cannot have an A to B conversation with someone that is delusional. I try not to be to harsh in dealing with these types..but haven't always found the higher ground. :)

My opinion is I think fantasy is cool as long as you really know what reality is. I think it fun to be able to relax and play on this site, but ultimately the reason I love it so much is most people are real here.I love the interest in the occult and it has some very informative and exciting reading. I chose the iggy button for rude ones or simply dont respond for the small percentage that are still in their own little lala land,.. hehehe, maybe they need a reality check to wake em up. But it isnt my job.
I agree with the blood drinking as a fetish...but the energy...ok, you can absorbe energy from another being...but mostly, by drinking blood is just you who create a placebo effect on your body...is your brain who enjoys blood and generates the right hormones for the body to feel energised...
Yes, the possibility exists that the "placebo effect" is all any of it is, blood or psychic. Unfortunately though, we can't prove or disprove it either way.

The matter isn't whether these fantasy lunatics are hurting me or others. It's the matter that they are doing this to themselves.
They are totally dissolving any chance they might have to be in a real and stable relationship/friendship. It isn't healthy to feel the need to make things up just to make yourself feel better.
People shouldn't have to be so scared/unbalanced that they make up a world entirely of their own. It's a real problem, and it seems that the problem thrives on alternative sites from the broad variety of people who come here. Like I said, unique is great, but too far is too far.
I agree that way too many people get lost in the fantasy. But there are those of us that keep our selves rooted and aware of REAL reality. Let the poor souls that get lost be, as long as they are not harming others because of it.
Fantasizing is fabulous. I love it.
But some people take it WAY too damn far. Its fun to get lost in daydreaming..
'til the reality bat knocks ya right in the back of the head. *ouch*
I think that there are some who being young have the belief still in the TV version of vampire and think they are among "REAL"(tv type) vampires and will be made one....but then there are some who just do it to shock the new people or who are here for a sort of role playing extention of masquerade or something.
its not just here, i know people who've really lost it.... they act is if they are somthing right out of a movie...
I admit, i get lost in a fantasy world sometimes, mostly in the form of RP with my good buddy Spike13. But i'm also firmly grounded in reality too, and I think thats the main thing. Fantasies are great, so long as they don't start influencing real life to a point where you can't tell the difference anymore
Y'know, I read a quote once that said, "If you could envision yourself as the kind of person God(dess) intended you to be, you would rise up & never be the same again."
In a sense, isn't that what we try to do when we fantasize? We try to envision ourselves as "better," whether "better" means "purer," "smarter," "darker," "more powerful," or so on. So one could say that living up to- or fulfilling a fantasy- isn't necessarily bad. As others have stated, I think the problem comes when you are harming other people to fulfill it....physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually.
As long as we remember where the lines are drawn, I think fantasy can be a wonderful thing.
Some are lost in the fantasy, but can you conclusively say that all of them are liars? We all need something to believe in.
YES many people do get lost in the difference between reality and fantasy!
If one more person messages me asking to turn them into vampire i am going to have to scream! Does anyone else get get these messages?? LOL
I cant turn u into one in the blink of an eye !
Vampires are out there, but this is not the movies....
isnt that the internet in a nutshell? a place to leave your old boring life and for just a while, be someone new just for a short time?
thats why there are RP sites..so that people can do that just such thing
sure, some people forget to go back to there normal lives...and some people tell fibs to make themelves more interesting...
its just wanting to fit in and feel as though your not invisible in the world
Ehhh, I think people just have fun with the roleplaying, and this is the place where they feel at home.
It can get obnoxious sometimes, but I understand the need to get lost in fantasy sometimes myself.
Why shouldn't they stop doing that? I find that funny, it's a good way to express what we feel inside. we can say that it's kind of a metaphor...
It's a good thing to have our *little world* but I think it shouldn't take over your life.
Some people cant tell where the
fantasy world ends and the real world starts.
Fantasy is a powerful psychological device. Freud, of course would want to say it's all about sex- probably in this case attaining it. In that realm, I would reference the D&D everynight of the week, still lives in mom's basement, and will be celebrating a birthday over the age of 40 this year, as well as the sexual pent up kids. I love the kids.
I think they are just trying on new shoes until they find the ones they like.
Jung would go off about an over active unconcious playing out/ manifesting in the personality...
I say it's harmless until it makes you do something that would be socially unacceptable... like cutting someone without their permission, or some other really overboard sh*t like that...
wow...thats a fun one to discuss. I've seen alot out there, and not just on this site. However, during the duration of my stay thus far, I have witnessed some interesting stuff. Your not looney, thats for sure. :)
People get lost in this....VR is like....a release...an escape from RL....and its wonderful sometimes. Some people just need to escape more then others....some of us live really hard lives and that is why so many come up with such fantasy.
VR is like home to some of us. I know I've only just begun here but this place is just....I meet so many people who share the same beliefs as I do. I used to think I was alone...but I know I'm not now.
The fantasy just comes with the territory I guess.
I used to be lost in the fantasy.
But its until you try to invoke the knowledge of the mysterious elements of the real world that you finally understand their existance.
:D
------------------------------
Think of it this way.
Fantasy worlds are typically places of escape from the real world. They are composed of imaginary elements, and certain plot-like elements, such as adventure, danger, horror, mysticism, etc. Everything you would find in a good sci-fi book.
As much as the real world can be a backlash, if you turn around, and imagine you lived in an unbearable place, and began imagining this world...
Think about you. Just as in roleplaying (if indeed you roleplay) where you determine the status of your character in comparison to the setting, where are you? Who are you, and what are you going to do about the world around you? What is it you plan to make of yourself in this world of corrupt politics, vampires, distorted media, gang violence, wars overseas, and stereotypes,... in this world of deep history, and many faiths.
What are you going to do in this modern Babylon?
Does it seem not that attractive?
Does it seem... just too real as it were?
Thats because it is.
... and it sucks...
I know. I know.
*looks up at his idea and sighs*
You know what? Go ahead and keep your fantasy world.
alot of ppl lilke to get lost in fantasy cuz their lives are not that good to begin with or they just want to forget about what they have to go through every day. I dont know i dont see a problem with it ..but sometimes its a little much...i guess whatever you want to do is what your going to do
You get lost in the fantasy, ok; the problem is not wanting to get out or not trying to do that...That`s when the problems start...
There is little harm in indulging in a fantasy but when one crosses the threshold between fantasy and reality life becomes blurred and this is when medication may be of some use - seriously. That is what psychologists are for.
Or else some of these people just need to get over themselves...
~Mina~
People tend to want a life to be like their fantasy so they tend to attempt to get others to believe it or become engrossed in a fantasy world. sometimes they don't realize that is what has happened and truly begin to believe it is really because they so greatly wish it could be.
Ahriman thanks for your input. I hope you can find some more information and post it for others like me.
I`ll try look for it...but please give me some time...If I do not post in 5 days, give me a message...The probability is that I wasn`t near an internet connection.
I think its that some people that like not a fantasy, but the conection with the persons true self.
I've noticed myself that people become lost in the fantasy. One friend of mine is so far gone in this fantasy world that sometimes I find myself believing in it as well. It's strange exactly how it happens. When I pry myself away from him I'm clear in my head but when I'm close to him he begins to make me believe some of the most outlandish things, such as Vlad and the house of vampires he lives with being part of some big global plot. That's just ridiculous! Sometimes I think I'm sick in my head for believing it when he's around.
I agree that it's getting to be annoying. I once delt with things like that at a different site...and they were completely ruining themselves over this "fantasy"
They had themselves believing that they could fly and cast spells on other people with their little fairy wands and crap.
Now, that I look back on it. It all seems pretty lame. lol
~Brenda~
Most prolly they do it,cause they can't accept reality so they build a fantasyland.
Till then it's ok,but then when they start really believing it,it starts to be a problem cause it starts to be a mental sickness....
it does get to the point for some that they don't know the difference, they need to be smacked back into reality(no stupid don't get violent) and if it's done it'll make it normal again. or maybe they need to quit as addiction can cause the mind to do strange things..
I think the friends rubbing of thing is a psychic connection of some sort.
i've noticed that and i can't seem to help but laugh. yes, i know that some people may believe that they're actually that, but it's just ridiculous to me. i do believe in vampires or else i wouldn't go to this site, but i don't believe that some of these people are what they say. honestly, i don't believe that you need to be a big monster in order to scare people off, but as long as your consistant and you say something that's believable (even if it is false) then you have a better chance of having people scared of you than being this unbelievable monster
For some people thinking for long time and planning is very difficult...so they resume to pick a form that somehow describes their intentions
ok i get alot of what ppl are saying but some ppl get stuck in there "fantasy" as away to deal with there real life that what i think i mean if ur life is bad and u can't deal why not belive something that u can control but many do take rp to far
http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/weird/vampires/8.html
yes i have seen that as well mabye some people go to far because if you say something like "im a vampire" you will be taken more sersoulsy then then general publis does so they want to see how much they can say befoore people stop believeing them i don't know or mabye there lives arn't that intresting and they fell that this site is where they can spice it up and pretend there someone there not
all the ppl like to escape in fantasy, sometimes....this is not bad, but when u can know u are "lost"?
I read here, that some ppl belive that...the blood give u some powers...maybe is true, but somethin is sure: it may give u something else, like a lethal disease...
mhmm....
I have read that if you drink too much in a short amount of time...or just too much--you will make your body sick.
some people have died from it
If you drink more then 2 pints of blood in I think 24- 48 hours it eats away at your stomach wall allowing your stomach acid to eat you from the inside out.
Well i have read and seen where some have taken to extrems with this belief and have commited murder.Thinking they would not go to prison.
And about the blood thing...it means nothing as nutritional value!!! Maybe some proteins that get away from the acid...but in rest...nothing.
lestat 86 says:
Yeah, blood drinking is real. I believe vampires are real. not the shape-shifting, murdering, raping, flying, undead creature of the night, but people that are able to take energy from others in some way. I know that to be true. But not what some of these people claim to be or do.
i agree, vampires are not necessarily the bat-turning, mist changing, cape rendering, stereotypical view of things, check my profile for my views on vampires
It is always good to have SOME fantasy.. But as long as you dont think it is reality
Hmm i say let them be in their world where they are happy and nice
What is 'real' and what is 'fantasy'? One could argue that everyone is trapped in fantasy...How do you really know what is real?...This reality could be one collective fantasy, with slight variations, just to get each mind to believe...What might be fantasy to one mind, can be very real to many others...Just because you have not seen or believe something, doesn't mean it's not very real to many others...
I am new to the rave but I have met some already that are lost to scince fictions and anne rice novels. I believe in some aspects but honestly I doubt that the whole mist thing is possible.
-Laura
Some live on the edge of both worlds. Some seek definition of what and who they are, unknowling going deeper into their mists, making themselves somewhat known to every other but themselves.
Others find here to talk themselves 'out' of things-- out of their rut, out of their confusion, and most of all their 'broom/vamp' closets.
Other just seek to belong somewhere, and vampirefreaks just doesn't cut it anymore.
I am truly glad that your post got a better responce than mine. I also asked the same question. This world of fantasy most live in is really disturbing to me but we all live in a fantasy at some point in our lives. The Lasombra part is great. Do people really think that we are that stupid as to believe things like that? However, as to the drinking of blood, I am a donor and I love the fact that my blood "energy" is appreciated enough to have someone feed off me. Unless you are or have been a donor, the concept is hard to understand. We are the people that help keep your race alive. Like I said, help keep.
I've noticed this as well, but at the same time some people say things just to see what kind of reaction they will receive from others. My opinion is that while their behavior may seem strange to me, I cannot judge them because if they are happy then I will be happy for them.
I agree with VampyricRose. I want to add that I think fantasy is fine as long as it doesn't carry on into your real life. Meaning when certain people who believe certain things start going around in the real world telling everyone that they are truly vampiric, werewolf, zombies who live on flesh they can seriously end up being 302ed and in the mental ward. Fantasy is great if it is done in a health way but when it starts to get to the point where you are living the fantasy it can become very dangerous.
I believe that SOME people rather live in a fantasy, then face the truths about their reality! There are rare occassions when the fantasy is easily accepted as reality because the truth is so much worse!
I agree with all of you and feel that many of the young ones on this site are lost in the fantasy.
I would not just limit that to this page. I actaully knew a person (friend of my mom's) who was obssessed with majick. She swore some far out things and then didn't understand why no one wanted to be around her. I think it's some peoples way of denying how bad thier life really is.
Quotes:
"There is more to heaven and earth then is dreampt of in your philosophy dear Horacio."
"Wake up Neo, The Matrix has you."
"Yes, no, yes, no, yes...FISH!"
all i have to say is there is nothin wrong with a healthy fantasy! but you have to know where the borders are! i live my life as a vampire, i call my self a vampire an thats how i belive...But at the end of the month, i have to pay for this service an for the electricty that it uses, i have a career to pay my bills, an i make enuff money that alows me to injoy my fantasy when the opropriat times permit.
i dont get dressed up to mail the bills for to do service to both my cars. Mostly the week ends arew when i can indulge
I have lost count of the members who's posts I look forward to finding due to the Hilarity of the things they say,.. Yes I'd definately say some go a bit far with the fantasy!
fantasy is what gets people out of reality long enough not to go on a rampage down the street naked holding a chainsaw
Once or twice I do find myself starting to get lost in the fantisy. So to keep this from happening I just write short stories every once in a while and then I can keep in touch with reality. By writing things down they stay in the pages and I stay sane. But yes I do think some people are TOO lost in the fantisy world.
Nicely put Lycian!!! Reality and fantasy are relative....Many people may believe that the "real" vamps on VR have lost touch with reality do to their beliefs on what "is" and what "is not".
i believe that alot of people are getting too lost in the fantasy world. these are the people in my opinion that are narrow minded and think that they know more about any subject than anyone. unfortunately we can not get rid of people like that so i just ignore them and think to myself that thre morons!!!
Yes I belive that some get very wrapped up in it and take it to a level that is beyond comprehention for others. Makes you look at them from a different view and ponder what makes them tick.
I like the opinion about morons...But even they can be teached...It will be a little hard, but you can try...
we can have his discussion over an over again. We are on a vampire styled community site and there is bound to be outlandish comments on here. it is when the person gets carried away that it gets really obnoxious. Its really funny.. where i live we have a vampire meet group that meets once a month and in person face to face i get the, " I am immortal " claims from certain people and i have learned to shrug them off. it is like this we cant stop them from posting it.. the only way to stop it, is to ignore it. if we give attention to those seeking it, we are just feeding their delusions.
Obviously, anyone who believes herself/himself to be a vampire is way out there ,right.
But really is there anything wrong with getting a little lost now and then in fantasy as long as one doesnt hurt himself or others.
I have had my share of crazy people aswell on this site. I've had people before claiming to be either hellspawn or necronamacers and threaten to unleash demons on me. Only thing I can sit there and do is laugh and say *wtf*. Zuber you was right internet is where you can exscape from your boring everyday life. But thing is half these people take it seriously and live it out in there everyday lives. I've had a fight on her over the subject empress with my othr half. It spilled out into a big dispute untill I had to remind myself its just a site. One thing I tend to think happens on this site. Is problems or disputes that spill over into every day life. I personally don't think of this as a fantasy site and just live and interact the same here as I do in every day life.
-kamui
The old internet phrase "no one knows you're a dog" comes to mind.
Many search for truth, and find fiction. Sometimes it's the other way around.
Some may in fact be so lost in it that it becomes their "real life"...like it's all that they live for...they lose touch with reality, but not for no reason, I'm sure...
Reason 1: They're crazy.
Reason 2: Their own life is just to realistic for them, it's not satisfying enough. They like to feel special and needed somewhere, so of course, they're pulled deep into it.
Reason 3: Their life seems too hard to handle, which may seem the same as reason 2, but what I mean is different on many levels. Reason 2 suggests they're bored or whatever. Reason 3, this one, suggests they are abused or mistreated...
Once again, I ramble, but this is my opinion...
I have so enjoyed reading comments here! Just needs to be a balance between fantasy and reality...when and where and how to be in both... where would anyone be without a kind of fantasy?
Heck, I work at Disneyland - talk about fantasy.....but work in emergency services, so there goes reality hitting me upside the head each day.
it is what you make it,some people take it to the extreme
Sometimes a teensy bit of fantasy can be nice. If not, it would be like going through life without dreaming...
Its people like that who really bring out the nasty part of me persay...I feel like being the bubble burster in those situations. But its really for their own good. And even though it probably portrays me to being a huge cold hearted b**** I dont care. They annoy me and sometimes really give me the creepies with how far they delve into this fantasy world that they have created. So I would say its my defense against the creepies.
I think some people on the plant earth
are vampires and wolves.
Im a lone wolf myself
There is nothing wrong with fantasy.
As long as you can put things in perspective and don't confuse fantasy with real life.
We all need fantasy in our lives be it with a partner or by ourselves...there are those of us who have costumes and go to conventions and enjoy ourselves. As with the goth and vampire clubs...go with the fantasy, but when it is over and you go outside, be one with reality!
QUOTE : We all need fantasy in our lives be it with a partner or by ourselves...there are those of us who have costumes and go to conventions and enjoy ourselves. As with the goth and vampire clubs...go with the fantasy, but when it is over and you go outside, be one with reality! END OF QUOTE
well thats true.
i guess this all is perfect to leran a lot about Vampyrism - and it is a kind of "living out in virtuality what is not possible in real life." BITE ME if i´m right
It seems to me that yes people do get lost in the fantasy and do not witness the actuality of what's real. Some people like to pretend their lives then actually live them. I'm not saying this is everyone but some people are like that. Others on here are very intelligent and I have met quite a few of them. They have their own thoughts about things and their opinions are outstanding.
there is no such thing as fantasy unless you are not satisfied with your life
I started a thread about six months ago on the same issue... I have what I wrote at the bottom of my profile if you want a read.
I think that Hollywood is what a lot of people want to be, and they get awfully defensive when anyone tries to tell them otherwise.
People will always want to be this way. Just let them.
yea just yesterday a guy IM'd me asking me if I needed a doner....I have know clue who he was or how he found me. but he was very strange .I told him to get alife
that's a very extreme thing for someone to have said (in reply to initial post, this is a long thread, so I didn't read it all). I have vampyric tendacies, maybe enough to call myself a vampire. I also believe in a lot of wiccan things. but to be a vampire, werewolf, witch, and zombie?! that's delusional... the people here that say they're thousands of years old, are delusional as well! I believe in Reincarnation, but that's extreme.
most people have a way to release there troubles and some people believe they are something becuase they need a way out of the real world.
yes, some do tend to get too cought up in fantasy but some also do it for attention. (No offense to any of you.) Some just can't help themselves, and some... just don't want too
I agree wiht most peoples points, we are able to be like we really are.
Who are any of us to judge what is reality and what is fantasy. Someone else said just because it isn’t our reality it doesn’t mean it isn’t there’s. When does something stop being fantasy and become reality. A lot of people would argue that the thought of any real vampire is fantasy. While others would say it’s most defiantly true. Just because you can not prove that something is real can you prove that its not? I personally don’t think a lot of what some people say is “my reality” but I also know what I believe to be reality for me isn’t real to a lot of others.
I agree!! What's reality for some may be fantasy for others. And vice versa. I don't like people judging me, so I try to make it a point not to judge others. I've met some interesting people in my life, all who believed something different.
I agree with not judging people and with the fact that reality7s definition is given by the majority, but what will you do when the 2reality" of one or his fantasy becomes a hazard for the others and his actions are dangerous and violnt? Will be any tolerance then?
i guess some get a bit lost ,but is this not a site for special beings to express the
mselves?
hey,
I've only been here but for about a week or two and i think that some people just dont know the difference between whats real and whats not... sure it's all fun to say your a vampire, but then again they dont even know the definition or what a vampire really is... it's the same things with goths... they dont even know what it is! But yet they go called themselves goth, I just think some people need a reality check on what things really are!
Well yea some people do take it to far.... Some people actually believe the myths of coffins and imortality and take it way to far..... But that is just how some people live.... People's brains act differently in order to protect oneself from harm..... Some people will use humor and for others it could be there own fantasy world were they are the vampire/werewolf/zombie who feasts on the village children. To me it is totaly understandable and it happens everywhere.... Take Dungeons and Dragons for example.... Some take it far enough to actually go kill someone.... But that is how their mind protects them from a real world that I personally think is a little more messed up than a little bit of fantasy..... I am not agreeing with it but I am also not saying it is wrong..... Sorry if I offended anyone with what I just said.

it is a way for them to feel powerful, but the funny part is that they end up just looking foolish. it's like a profile i saw the other day, warning others not to mess with them, because they would hunt us down...etc... it's either funny or it's pretty sad. i guess this kind of thing is somewhat inevitable when children are allowed to act like vampires... ok, i decided it's mostly funny. hehehe
Some may take it too far, but then there are those that believe it all, but that is it.
I think reality has it's place, and I think that maybe here it shouldn't be a requirement.
While yes, it can be very annoying talking to someone that is completley off the freaky scale. But at the same time remember people not only come here to be with others that enjoy the darker side of life, they also hope that they are within a group that maybe understand what it feels like to be misunderstood.
Don't judge these people, there is nothing wrong with playing out a fantasy, they just have to find the right person to let it out on.
I believe that the diverse range of unique personalities adds a little flair to this site, just remember, don't be nasty, just move on, and remember the name so if you come across them again, you know what to expect.
Loosen up, enjoy the culture, let people be their own person, they have to wear the burden in the end.
Yes, people tend to get lost in fantasy. It is, however, for a very good reason. The world today is too much for some to handle, so they hide away in anything they can find. I've seen people totally conviced they were a vampire/zombie/werewolf/imp but nobody needs to give them a reality check. On the outside we can be completely "lost" to other people as well. People who don't understand vampyres, or "goths" call us lost as well. However, nobody likes to be confronted about it.
Oh yess i can say since ive been here i have met some of the most outrageous people with the most intricate imaginations that i have ever seen.. Ive gotten questions like.....
1)Do Vampires Have Sex?
2)Can they Cum?
3)Questions about immortality?
I mean come on! Some times this Site truely Humors me
in my fantasies i am a great demon who have black wings and who fly to moon to findout the life of secret..
Fantasies make us human.
So much accumulated experience in this thread...
I think anyone who has come across this thread is sure to learn alot about the barrier between what is real and fantasy.
Of course,... there is something I don't understand.
I don't understand it when people claim things... such as they being a half vampyre, half angel, half demon, and their cousin being a werewolf, and their oldest child being of faire-blood, and their half-brother is a psy-vampire, and HIS father is a black dragon, and his grandson is a born incubus,... perhaps with a +3 bonus in stamina, Heavy Armor Proficiency, a +4 Battleaxe of the Wolf, and a +55 bonus in bullshitry!
I mean seriously! They must really have some f*cked up family reunions. I'd really hate to be THEIR neighbor,...
