What is the one thing in life which you are afraid of most, amd why are you afraid of it? I ask this discussion because we are almost one of us is afraid of something in our lives what is it your afraid of or fearfull of a thing or creature
My fearful thing is dying a painful death.

I am no where near sharks but sharks scare me to tiny pieces.. I have no clue why.. They just make me want to run and hide. i am so scared of them i dont go swimming in ponds even though i know there are no sharks in them logically. swimmng pools are fine but not going to swim were i can not see whats in the water.

Ill have to agree with Dabz.. They have the power regardless of country and they all pull to their side, some are more powerful than others, but i wonder what will happen when the rope breaks in such advanced times...

I try not to worry about the things I cannot control especially not to fear them.

But the most frightening creature would have to be mankind. All the intelligence and abilities we have and yet no other creatures find such pleasure and enjoyment in being cruel and hurtful toward their own kind.

We all sometimes hold fears in the back of our minds, which at some point will surface. For awhile now heights have given me a challange, but the biggest monster we all may face is the danger we have no contol over in our lives.

Others actions that will hurt this world and countless lives.

As the phrase goes...Nothing to fear but fear itself..

People tend to fear things they don't understand or have no control over.Why fear something that can't hurt you...why fear things that aren't real.

If you live near a beach doesn't mean you should fear sharks...they can't walk on land or breathe out of water.Fear of the unknown is what makes people have panic attacks and make life even harder to handle.

No need to fear death...everyone dies and there is no way to slow it down.You may live another 40 yrs...you may die tomorrow.Never let something you have no control over limit you and what you can do while living.

I tend to fear ignorance and stupidity. Additionally, as the years go by, I'm scared of losing my parents. It's sad to see the people you love get old.

I think at this moment in time I am afraid of blind terrorism.

riding in cars I hate freeways.

Lawyers.

They are the worst of the leeches of society, because they serve no purpose for the betterment of society. They are by their very nature negative, and few have any standards or integrity.

I fear unemployment and mounting debt and losing my home.

Seriously, though, what I fear most is drowning. The escape of the air from the lungs, so cold of the water and the inevitable despair... just not a fun thing.

The biggest fear I actually have is the fear of losing my family. My family (parents and my brother) have never been what one would consider close, but over the years, we've began to grow closer. Yeah, we still have a lot of issues to fix between us all, but I'm really starting to appreciate them.

It's a bit sad that it's taken me so long to really want them there with me, but now that they are, I can't stand the fact that I could lose them. My family is my world.

I fear the water. I think the ocean is beautiful, lakes, etc. But to look at... But my fear stems from never learning to swim... lol. I've been floating out in the middle of a lake with a life jacket on, and just something about not knowing what is down there that gets me...or could get my toes...

no animal scares me.... and it's a strange concept for me to fear an animal (although i do have a healthy respect, and keep a healthy distance from those animals who could possibly harm me.. i don't go yelling and screaming at bulls for example)
no, animals do not scare me on a daily basis...i fear people.
my neighbors, strangers approaching me, people calling me, people knocking on my door, crowds, people walking down the street, people in cars driving by, people trying to sell me something, people making eye contact in the grocery store... i peer out my windows before i go out, i don't open the door or answer the phone, i avoid crowded places and i am always worried... it's irrational and completely annoying, but i fear you all.

I would have to say my greatest fear is fire. I am totally terrified of it.. I was an adult before I could even get the courage to light a match.

The only other thing that would be a huge fear of mine would be to be buried alive... suffocating god.. shudders just awful.

I don't like sharks, or driving down mountains lol..... Lets face it, if you're driving down a mountain and your breaks give out you can for the most part make your peace with which ever god you pray to.

Losing my son or wife, or not seeing them before i die. Thats the only thing that scares me.

Black Widows, found one the other day on the threshold of the hallway ceiling. I get scared for my cats! I hated to have to kill it but couldn't take the chance of trying to get it outside and get bit or lose it. They are so common here, but I tend to forget about them till I see em in my house, right above me. Had the heebeedajeebedees for 1/2 the day.

I would have to say that snakes are my biggest fear, I have been chased by them tried to be gotten at through glass cages , so yeah I,d say snakes.

I have a paralyzing fear of moths and butterflies (I know that is a strange one) but when I was about 2 I was playing near a bush or thought it was a bush but it was a swarm of butterflies they seemed to just leave the thing they were flying around and all landed on me and there were so many I couldn't see my mom at all. I don't remember the event but my mom told me about it when I asked her why I am afraid of moths and butterflies since apparently I have been afraid of them since then

I fear clowns. Seriously, there's something wrong with them. Oh and spiders.

There isn't too much that i fear. I think i've had enough scares in my lifetime to become immune to most of it. There's things i wouldn't like to happen but I can't say i fear it. I try to keep on a positive note and believe that during tormoil, we're not alone in anything we fear or face.

I try not to fixate on any one thing to fear but a painful death is something I dread the thought of but since I'll not have a choice, so why let it tear me up.

To be perfectly honest the thing that scares me most is being bitten or eaten by animals. I am afraid of getting bitten because I almost got bit by a very vicious dog when I was very young and Ive seen too many movies about people getting eaten by fish XD

My worst nitemare is my ex- fiance he is the devils spawn reduced to a slug and sent back to earth.

Well I wouldnt say he is fearful, but he can cause me fear, SO I will have to say it is my ex, he is a monster and liks to suck the life and happiness right out me.

Mine would be fatal diseases and illnesses. I hate the fact that being sick can kill you and I like life too much.

I'm afraid of fear. That either makes me wise or boring.

One of my bigger fears in life is snakes. My brother used to chase me with them, granted he was getting just garden snakes, but I was little. Now that I live in OH, I've got some serious snakes to be scared of.

Even after reading through what everyone fears I still don't get why or how you can be afraid of things you have no control over.You can over come anything and rise above it...you can control the fear...and not let the fear control you.It is understandable that you "fear" the loss of someone close to you...but if you let it control you it will win.You should never fear death because that is one thing that everyone will face at some point.

I'm not normally a fearful person, but my momma got some bad news and mostly likely has cancer...

I fear losing her to the disease...but at the same time...I'm optimistic that things will turn out ok.

Either way, there is fear...I love her with all my heart and it's only been 4 years since I lost my daddy....

I have to honestly say for me it is human... my father he is an evil man and I never wish to be associated with him again. I would be willing to move states, change my name, anything to stay away from him. He fills me with more fear than a spider or a shark.

I'm afraid of never finding a place where I belong, I sometimes fear that it's something wrong with me. I don't want to be hated by anyone, I'm afraid of everyone. I'm so afraid that i some times wish to disappear and never return, I fear death to my self and the pepole I care about because I can't avoid it.

I fear of any worm parasites that might infest the human body.

I fear spiders. And im not sure why. They are just a common fear, and i hate the feeling they give you when they crawl on yor skin.

I fear having a nightmare that I'll wake up to jerk in physical reaction as the memory dissolved into white hot pain that would seem to shoot right to my soul, and feel as if I were being devoured from the inside out.

Sometimes I fear the darkness inside my own heart.

Fear of losing my family and people that are close to my heart, because of something stupid that I do or say. I also fear my anger inside of myself, because If I get mad over something stupid then I might yell at something to take the pain away.

Aside from heights and enclosed spaces, and large crowds, I think my biggest fear is dying without having ever made a name for myself. I don't want to die and then be forgotten. I want to be written down in books, or at least have something of mine that thousands of people will handle/see, whether it be my art, or my writing. That...is my biggest fear.

I just got some bad news from 2 different doctors & I am afraid of what the results are gonna be for me. I live alone & have nobody to take care of me & they told me that I can't live alone. I will continue to lose my memory & my reflexes & basically my body is gonna shut down.
