Now, before I start I just want to give the definition I found of "parallel universe" on dictionary.com as the question is really in the definition.

Definition: a theory that there is a mirror universe and when one makes a decision in this universe, an alternate 'you' in the other universe makes the opposite decision

Now, that being said... take into consideration the balance of good and evil in this universe. Do you feel one overpowers the other? Do you think it would be the exact opposite in another? What is your take on parallel universes? Is there a possibility that the ghosts some say they see are in fact of these other universes? And finally, do you think other universes have an effect on ours?

First off "good and evil" are tied to morality, which is HIGHLY relative and subjective. Terms so narrow and black and white I don't even like to use them, let us take into account just how many shades of grey there are out there, and how what one man says is evil, another man may see as what is right and pure.

As for if I think parallel universes exist, I am not going to say I dispute it, I think it could be entirely possible. Should we speculate? I think it may be a waste of time unless talked about from and extremely theoretical view point.

And as for the ghosts, same thing, one really cant claim to know either way, and having a strong opinion either way is useless.

There are an infinit number of parallel realities, some are very similar, other a very different....Some of the choices are opposite, many are similar and everywhere in between...It can be looked at in a very complex way, or a very simple one...I can explain it better One on One...

Do parallel universes exist? In theory, as already mentioned, there are an unlimited amount of parallel universes.

The more interesting question : if we are indeed represented in multiple universes, what happens if one unites with oneself from a mirrored world? Do the two create a larger "whole"? Are they pieces of one spirit, experiencing unique existence based off the decisions made separately?

If you can consider that we live in a multiverse then try looking at it this way:

For the sake of arguement let us take 5 quarters and place them alltogether, each quarter represents an expanse of what we may call a "universe" in between each quarter is a space, now 3 dimensionalize that picture into a cube form, remembering that a cube also equals 360degrees as well as each circular quarter; now the spaces between you can look at as "gates" or "portals" that connect each multiverse to the other; that construct let's say is the "positive" selection of multiverses ; now if a Parallel Universe exists, where within this construct is it ? Between each space, now cubed in 3D form there exists a "block" form, it is that block form that houses the same construct that you see in front of you, the "block form being the opposite to the circular 360degree form, but containing multiverses within it as well, opposites of the prime multiverses (Cube)

I am a firm believer in that anything is possible. I dont know that they exsist, but I would say that there is the possibiblty. As far as would they have an affect on our universe, well I would say yes, if there is indeed a parallel universe mirroring ours, it would have to have some sort of an affect on ours. Perhaps it keeps are less violent or something, that I dont know. It is interesting to think on it.

You know we could also wonder if the theory on Doplengers (Not sure I spelled that corretly) has to do with parallel universes. An evil twin from the mirror of the current. Kinda creepy in its own way if you think of it.

If that were the case I want to trade with my Doplenger, shes rich, has the east life, etc. LOL. :) Nah, I guess I would want to remain as myself, I have my wee one. lol. (Sorry for the randomness, it is early and my mind wandered. lol.)

I think that there is a good possabilty that other universes are out there, I think that yes they may have an affect in our universe. That could explain why ghosts are here. They got stuck between two universes. I think that if there really is a paralelle universe ( can't spell) there is a good possibility that is an exact opposite of the one we are in now.

I believe that alteranate realities exist, but I do not know how they impact our own.

the belief that the are multiple dimensions or a parallel universe might be true for reasons unknown. For the fact that we dont know where the first Atom came from that spaked the creation of Life itself. for the reasons that everything created something so what created god? and the sprirtual realm is so vast it is probably a just cause of Faith. You create your own realm, you create your own fear, so why couldn't you create your own Parallel universe, mentally maybe. Intersteller travel probably not for a thousand years to come.

Stephen King's "THe Drak Tower" might be an excellent example of what we're talking about here. There are an infinite number of worlds and times revolving around the Dark Tower (the nexus for all space and time) - the door to anywhere and anywhen.

In the books, when characters die (and not just major ones - often more minor characters, like the villains Roland and co kill), they reappear in another version of the world in another time.

One of the main character's quotes sums it all up, just before he falls into the chasm and into the abyss...

In other worlds, King's idea is that death is one of many doorways to multiple parrallel worlds and universes...

wow, heavy subject. when it comes to whether good or evil outweighs the other I believe that there is not one above the other. But instead, cancellations of equality. Every thing has the potential to possess both aspects. Objects take on the personna of the psycic energy that they are used in. So a pencil used in a love sonnett could be considered a good object...that is until it/if it is used in a fowl manner (STABBING SOME ONE with h8red). Parell Universes? of course there is. The etheral plane is a good example of one PLANE---DIMENTION....six of one, half dozen of the other.

I always heard that there are other dimensions with the same ppl here but they have different personalities, slightly different appearances, and may just be the ooposite of us. Cool subject!! ;)

I believe that this is very much possible. It is simply like the theory of Yin and Yang. Where good exists there must be an equal and opposing evil.

I believe in Alternate Universes the World is too Complex and Vast. The Human Mind alone is too Vast and Complex. What if a Parrell Universe can exist within ur very head and u dont even know it? I mean on a Daily Basis we make multiple Decisions most of them are small one of courese what to Order on a menu, what to watch on tv, what to wear, etc etc, So could this little minor decisions defines a Split in the Universe? I think ur mind is way beyond measurement for its True Potential! What if u Spilt ur Universe Mentally? And every decision that u make is within u in? So by ur Decison Making u are creating this new Universe, whether it be an Universe within ur Psyche or a Completely New Manifested World? I Truly believe in Parallel Universes, just not really sure what makes the split there? How Big does the Decision really have to be? If it is small Daily Decisions like I mentioned that can create them, then there will a Shitload of Alternate Universes out there!!!

it is possible that there is a mirror universe out there and that it balances what we have here on earth... if big bang caused the earth to be a liveable place, then, it could also be possible that there is another planet like the earth...

I'd never really considered the spritual ramifications of multiple universe theory. Interesting.

However on a side point multiple universe thery allows time travel, in that you can't alter your own universe, as you never want back in time in your universe, but instead must jump universe, which will also remove the paradox issue as you can't kill your own grandparent, just the grandparent of the other you who will not not exist.

Another good movie to discover parallel universes would be The One. It sorta has a good theory to it.

not that is out of my system I may proceed to hypothesize. In said parrallel universi there are many different paths we could have taken, safe or dangerous. which leads me to conclude that in most parrallel univeri the offshoot of ourselves are mostly departed. i like to think there are many parrallel universi, not just 1.

excellent point. There could be many different parallel universes that depict every different path one could take for every possible decision we make. I suppose every second we could take tons of different paths. Perhaps each universe follows each different individual path?

In theoretical terms everytime ANY decision is made the universes split.

In literal and mathematical terms there are an Infinite number of Universes.

I suspect something along the lines of the observational theory would kick in that while these universes exist "In potentia" they do not PHYSICALLY exist untill observed via some method, and as we have yet to devise a method of observing alternate universes they will remain "In Potentia"

I believe in Parallel Universes, there just somthing what needs to be explained more.

I believe there are parallel universes, i'm not sure how they interact or relate to our own universe though. it is a really interesting topic with limitless possibilities.

I don't believe in Parallel Universes but I do believe in the balence of good and evil. they work together. when somthing bad happens at the same time somthing great happens eg when a life is taken a life is given. you need them both to exist. without one you cant have the other. just my opinion of course.

First off Good is a point of view. Second off trying to cotemplate how many different scenarios could be out there will give you one hell of a headache. Its like thinking about how much different your life could be if one little thing had been done different.

but im just wondering why scientists still haven't found one.. they spend a lot of time and money experimenting on other things, why not look for a parallel universe and visit there... or if they had found one, could they be hiding it from us?

I think that parallel universes might have many different plaines and nothing we do can effect them.

I can agree with the fact that there probably is a parallel universe. I do not think that they are the opposite, good versed evil. I would also like to believe that we are the "ruling" universe!

I definately believe in parallel universes and Somewhat believe that our 'other' out there does the -near- opposite of what we do down here. As far as other universes affecting our own . . . . not sure about that one.

First off I believe there are more than one parallel universe. I makeone decision here in a certain situation and in certain simliar situations in the other universe, opposite or relative decisions are made. "Ghosts" or other creatures that are mythical here, I could be friends with or working side by side. I'm sure you get the idea.

Well so many people see Shadow People and many think they might be from a parallel universe and that is why they look like shadows...one explanation. I wrote an article called "Path of the Shadow" which followed another article by someone else on the basics about Shadow People. Mine talkes about the multiverse and about anecdotal experiences of my family. It is in my Journal if you wish to read it.

Here is an excerpt from it on the basic theorie but in my research most were saying 11 universes and it was explained about the big bang theory because of the interaction of these universes. The excerpt quote I am going to show though, goes into the infinite idea of the parallel universes.

There is every possiblity that some do have the ability to travel through them. I don't know really. No one does but they are very close. I have felt that perhaps there were gateways in the past that closed whether on their own or by intelligent force and that may account for many of the mythological creatures that come up so often and beliefs of otherkin. Here is the excerpt:

"Scientists now believe there may really be a parallel universe - in fact, there may be an infinite number of parallel universes, and we just happen to live in one of them. These other universes contain space, time and strange forms of exotic matter. Some of them may even contain you, in a slightly different form. If you subscribe to the theory it stands to reason that for every action, there is an equal an opposite reaction. So good here, may not be good within a parallel universe. If there were an infinite number of parallel universes, then each universe would shift slightly in one direction and the other, for every one to our standard of good there would be one who felt exactly opposite of our view. So if you move far enough down the chain, what would be considered as the ultimate good in one universe, would be the very definition of evil to another.

I believe that all actions have a effect. Now as far as good and evil go, they're merely perspective. I believe all energy is nuetral, but for actions to have a opposite action in another universe it is highly possible. In my times of deep meditation I'll usually go right to bed and have dreams of other timelines which often can be concidered other universes in which this or that never happened. But as far as our universe being effect by what happens in other universes, very possible. But such things, are merely through how we see things.

im not really sure if there is one or not, but it would be hard to prove it does or does not exits. every action has a reaction though i do not see how one can look at the outcome of the other since all we see is the reaction in our own time.

I suppose I should clarify myself a little, when I refer to good and evil, that is really just one example of many: pleasurable vs painful, blessing vs curses, exciting vs boring, love vs hate etc etc etc. But my ponit remains the same, on each "universe on the shift" would have an exact opposite to itself, which reinforces the definition of parallel. But the definition itself only supports the thought of a single parallel universe, not an infinite number with the "shift". For everything that I've read or watched on the subject (which I admit, is not extensive) I've never really heard a theory "satisfactory" enough for me to explain the "shift" for the infinite number of universes to apply. But I must admit, I don't really believe in either theory, just that I feel a single parallel universe is more plausible than an infinite number.

There are definitely some possibilities to this situation. How could anyone deny it. There has to be another side to all this u know? I would like to meet one of my opposite from another parallel universe. Do I sound crazy? lol

I agree with u Natalia I think it would be interesting and I always thought about that when I was younger. I would lay at night and think about how myself is in another universe. I used to picture this really hardcore dom on a motocycle that was kinda cold blooded and very cool lol. Uhhhh I think she took over eventually because I'm a serious dom now and I plan on buying a bike, I want 1 really bad.

I believe there are parallel universes. To think that we are the only universe is as egotistical as saying we are the only planet to have intelligent life on it. Whether or not they impact our own universe remains to be seen.

I think that it is possible ..The thought that we are the only planet out there with people on it does not add up.

I beleive there is first 5 main parallelle universe then from there there is form each 5 and so and so making it infinit numbers of universes, it would aslo expalin at times our diversety in a way and most of all the thurst we have to seek other lifeforms elsewhere. As animals dont but we do.

this is such an awesome and deep question. let me first start by saying, that in my opinion, there is not just one alternate universe. I do believe that for every action and decision u make there is another u somewhere who did the oppisite. but there is more than just the inverse because there are so many sides to everything u do, which is why i think there are more than one parallel universe. if that makes sense.

Im not going to say it doesnt exist but i really highly doubt that it does. There would be an infinite amout of alternate universes and it would make living absolutely pointless. but who knows maybe life is.

My self do believe that there are an abundance of parallel universes and that they all can differ in some way and shape. The possibility of each reality effecting another is possible but myself don't see it possible but others do believe that it could effect every universe if something happened in another.

The best way i can thing of describing the possibility of one reality affecting another is in the movie with Jet Li "The One" it's a great movie u should take a look at it.

The mirroring you speak of is infinite. There is not just "white" or "black" but also many different shades of grey.

Although I believe the possibility for an alternate parallel universe to exist is highly probable I would have to say that I don't think the totality of it would be much different from our own. In many ways the variations of what you morally deem "good and evil" are equal. There is a delicate balance that is maintained. I do however believe that personal lives may be different since the choices made will be the variable.

i can honestly say that if this happens from birth then we'd be far to different, not on oppisite terms, to be making any similar decisions at any single point in time.

since they have proven the existance of anti-matter it is very probable that there is at the very least a mirror universe. I believe it is also very possible that there is an infinite numer of variations inbetween.

I was told by my Native American grand mother that what we dream when we sleep is what we live in "another place" and what we dream there, is what we live here. I never really understood what she meant until I was older. She was referring to a parallel universe...another place.

I think this no "good" or "evil" univerce. If there are other "verces" then thay are very simual to our own. And I do not beleave that one has any effect on the others. Sorry for the bad spelling.

This is a very interesting subject one that I am just now learning about, but I started to think to myself ..you know how many times we have said what I just saw or experienced was not of this world? Well could that be a parallel universe or reality at the moment we saw this? I'm just trying to understand here.

there is a cause and effect in everything that we do even small things like picking a flower can effect the farthest star it's like throwing a rock in a pond and the ripple effect you get from that. Everything in every form of exsistance is connected in some way whether in this universe or a parallel one.
