Do you believe everybody who has been in Hell, Hades, etc. Dreams to be in Heaven?
first, hell does not exist for most of the VR members... and second, no one that goes to hell can get out of there... but, i think that they can dream of heaven... lol...
ok im not most of vr here but i believe in both heven and hell .. just dont no exactly were hell is . some say its when you are in the ground but i dont no ..
hell truly only exista for those that beleave in it and i do not and if i do not beleave in hell then there is also no heaven you cant have one with out the other
This is a touchy subject. Not everyone believes in Heaven, Hell, Hades and what nots.
I think everyone, no matter where they are, believes in a place that is free of all bad things. They dream of a place that has no disease, no trama, no death, just a place full of happiness and tranquillity.
It really depends on the religion and culture from what one believes.
I never made any such statement that everyone in VR, thinks that Hell, Hades, etc... exists, I meant to say if you believe in Hell, Hades, etc... Do you think if they are able to dream, that they dream of heaven?
Anyways, I don't believe in either Heaven, Hell, Hades, etc... I got this question from the Graphic Novel, Sandman 1, Preludes, and Nocturnes.
i do believe in the existence of hell and heaven, and for me is not worthy to dream of heaven if you are already in hell... because it will make your time there even worst... that is just my opinion...
Things spawned in the supernal realms that have been banished into the infernal realms do tend have a drive to return to some form of concept of home, or find their own piece of something. Even if that is a shitty apartment in the ghetto in hell. They will do what they can, for what they can. An end to the suffering, if they are not created from it. If they cannot and do not understand the place they now serve, i would gather that yes some might.
But then the things that have gone to hell that wanted to be there. To be out of the control where they can have the oppertunity to grow, beyond the limits provided by the deathless, stagnant bliss of the supernal, when not out on missions of blood and war, carnage and destruction to keep the Lighter realms in power. Are happy for the reprieve to be able to choose what they will destroy for. Instead of being bound to purpose.
People are evil. I think Hell is just a thing little house wives made up to scare their children. The Underworld is real though; it teaches you lessons where you never learned them in a sort of moral manner.
"Better ot the right hand of the Devil than in his way"
if there or there isn't I do hope that the system of judgement is just
well i do not really believe there is a Heaven or Hell .. That we make our own.
However I do believe that there is something more than what and where we exist that has to be better then the present. I also just feel whatever it is that it is a just and fair place of judgement toward all that may go there.
If you were being tortured for all eternity wouldn't you dream of something better
People stop saying you don't believe in heaven or hell... because it doesn't have anything do with the original question.
I'd think so. Doesn't everybody dream of better, no matter the situation?
the main question ive never been in hell cause ive never died yet.. some say were in a living hell but im sure not.. oh and i havent been reincarnated that i no of and if i have i sure dont want to remember.. i like this life..
From my dealings with demons, devils, and all manner of hell type spawned creatures, they no more dream then the lamp wishes for light. Its the condition of their being.
Their "oneness" has been removed in service to the "many" they serve the will of the many, or the one Will of the one of many. In most cases. Its not something they have as the capacity to do such is not allowed by the will of that which controls them.
They are embodied emotion, raw, unchained, and fluid creatures, they seek to propigate their own existence in many ways, including actual intercourse. Again, they no more have the capacity to dream, then a light has the choice to be in the on or off state, barring something like the lamp from the "Brave little toaster" movies.
I think that once you are in Hell, you are basically a Demon. People say that Demons dream of being in Heaven, and for the most part I agree with that.
I think once you are in "Hell" you are were you won the right to be. Remember we live life as to our own choice, and either suffer or gain from how we choose to do just that.
From some of the demons I deal with, I have a understanding that they are trying to get a spot back to heaven.
If i am understanding this correct then yes i think someone that has been to Hades can redeem them selves and go to heaven.
First off, technicality. The names of the place you refer to come from Mythological Deities. Hel is the Goddess of the Underworld in the Norse. Hades is the God of the Underworld in the Greek. The place is called (if you haven't noticed) is the Underworld.
It is hard to say whether or not they would rather be in Heaven.
If the "Heaven and Hell" theory is correct, I want to go to Hell. Heaven sounds to stuck up and prissy. I have an issue with someone telling me I have to live a certain way.
i dont think that they want to be in heaven, thye want to destroy it,, it represents everything thye dont have....because thye would be the same way in heaven, as they act in hell..
If you believe in Heaven, then you also know there is a hell. That's how the balance works, no good without evil... no law without disorder. I don't know if someone the has gone to hell wishes to be in Heaven, they probably should have thought about that before they were deliver to that eternity. I think they might dream about returning to Earth, either to try and rule it or possibly to lead a different life and then maybe make it to Heaven.
Side note: I just tell everyone "I'm not going to hell, just going to the un-air conditioned part of Heaven! =)
I dont think anyone ever gets out of hell, and as far as wanting to get out i dont think so. they were put there because they are evil so they want to stay with thier own
well not too sure if our lives on earth is not Hell, yet who knows guess we will once we are gone LOL I feel that anyone, spirit, ghost, souls whatever can and will always have the dream of being elsewhere just as we do as we are alive LOL
yet, I guess once you go to hell or heaven your not going anywhere else ....
I did not believe in hell....but if I was to, I believe that people who would have to enter there, would be people who could not forgive themselves of matters they have done on this plane. They would torment their ownselves with their poor judgement on how guilt ridden they are. They could see those who are loved ones in heaven and could only wish they could be with them, but cannot, because they are too weak and too hard on themselves to ask for forgiveness and they feel they belong in hell.
Some may the ones that wished they were not being ripped apart and beaten, but others don't they like it were they are.
well I would think anyone who goes to hell probably wish or dream they were somewhere else LOL yet, I am not too sure that we dream or anything in the hereafter.. I always felt that everything from the living world faded away ..
The concept of Heaven and Hell lies with each person.
I have often gone back and forth with the possibility of a literal Heaven and Hell which are physical places or if they (the terms) were devised to be used metaphorically to persuade and motivate people (through conscience) to lead a "good life" (spiritually speaking).
Perhaps "Heaven and Hell are in the eye of the beholder....."
Many believe we are in hell or heaven, for life is what we make it. And i am sure if they where there they may be dereaming of heaven, like I am dreaming of Hawaii right now at work. lol sorry rosho
I feel that if one was from Hades or hell that they would want to be able to have what those have in heaven. It would to me be almost like saying that I want to be able to try it just once to see if its what everyone says it is. Ok hopefully that made sense.
I believe in heaven and hell, yes I am sure that in hell you could dream or think about what it would be like to be in heaven. I know I would if I was in hell.
no i think being in hell or hades can be a good and very pleasant thing for some ppl and i also think that being in heaven as well for some ppl can be so miserable..
No, I don't think everyone wants to go to Heaven that dwells in a Hell. Some might prefer a Hell to a Heaven. Hell can be considered a place of unlimited Sin. Obviously a paradise for those who live in it.
Some thrive on controversy and turmoil here on earth..they might do the same after death.
everyone has their own personal hell and i believe they would want something better unless they feel they deserve what they are getting
I think that some of the people in hell enjoy being there. So not all of them dream of heaven.
exactly and a prefferene more of a beliefe i feel, which is one i personally don't believe in but i suppose for those who do they make their own place to rest.
no i dont believe those in hell wish to be in heaven.it is better to riegn in hell than to servein heaven.but those are my belifs
I think if your in Hades then there must be a good reason. So why would someone in Hades go to heaven? not like they can have a second chance, they are already dead. You understand what i am saying.I am so confusing sometimes sorry all.
I personally think hell exists only to those who believe they are going there...and for those, I'd imagine they WOULD dream of heaven (or some other better place).
Let's say for a moment I beleive in hell and in heaven.
Well if I beleived in it I would think thos ein hell don't have time to think about heaven or sleep to dream about it, since hell is supose to be a place or torture and tourment 24/7 where time has not stop or meaning.
Where the souls are kept in total pain and constant horrible treatment so therefore they can not sleep and then logicly can not dream or heaven or anything else for the matter.
No. I'd see dreaming as a sort of luxury. And with luxuries allegedly not on the list of things available down there, I affirm my answer.
i to do not believe in either heaven nor hell as you can not have one with out the other. but i would have to say yes that one in hell or Hades would or could dream of heaven. as for the other question i found brought up. where is hell that too i am not sure of some say we are living in hell and when we die we are free and are finally at peace. and that is heaven.
i dont belive in either but why would they if they exsisted hell would be much cooler, im sure there would be people who wished they were in heven *thinking of southpark "it was the mormons who got it right"*
Uhm... but Hades is the ruler of the underworld...so I guess 'he' would like it there.
As or souls, well hell is seen as a punishment in many beliefs, so I guess yes.
neither are remotely appealing. reincarnation is appealing, but that doesnt make it likely to be true. im fine with nothing happening after death but lets say you are all right and there is a hell. in hell i would dream of nothingness, or coming back as a clam so i can bury myself in the sand and have some peace.
If heaven and hell actually exist, then they are different for everyone I think. My belief is that your body dies, your soul dies as well. There is no afterlife.
I imagine that they would... but if Hell is reserved for bad people, then wouldn't dreaming of heaven only remind them of their moral shortcomings? And if Hell is a place of pain, than wouldn't that be the perfect scenario?
I think it would matter only to the person as if they wanted hell on earth they probably wouldnt think about heaven but if they wanted to go to heaven and ended up in hell they would want to go to heaven and think about it.
No, don't believe that everyone wishes to go to heaven.. I also believe we make our own hell here on earth.
Unlike most believe hell was origionnally concived as a place of punishment, ruled by god. A place of pennance where a god would decide when you have been redeemed from your earthly sins. Therefore I believe that most beings there hope to be in heaven.
i think its a lie. where told if where bad we go to hell and if we are good we go to heaven. why do so many people think hell is real and not heaven
Everyone has their different beliefs. Some don't believe in a paradise after death. Some don't believe in a place where our souls are damned for eternity. Some don't believe in both while some do.
Views are brought about by experiences in this life.
I dont think that hell is as bad as people make it out to be. People are capable of having a worst life in this life than in the afterlife.
That's probably because no one has seen Hell. Hell, I think the popular portrayal of Hell is that as in Dante's Inferno.
if there is such a thing, would they know any different to dream some where eles, i dream of the tropics yet i am still at work. i think no matter what we always want things we cannot have, and so dreams are part of the mind evrexpanding. but like here would i know anything else than real life and work must get done.
Would you really want someone that has been in hell in heaven really? Not me..
I feel that one must believe in places like heaven and hell in order to fear or covet either of the above. To me...heaven and hell are abstract ideas concocted by terrified clergy to control the masses more easily.
I am not sure if they would dream of it or not to be honest but i figure it is possible.
I mean you become a being of hell or what each person calls it due to wrong doing you have done in life and you could sit there thinking why didn't i do what i needed to go to heaven instead.
I call them heaven and hell but not sure what others call them.
I, myself do not believe in heaven nor hell , but i do think that anyone can dream of where ever they want their ever after to be
Well if we are talking about a fictitious character I think that if they were stuck in some abysmal place like Hell is described if they had conscious recollection of anything different then yes, I think they would dream of heaven. These are just concepts from various mythologies that have gotten drawn into religion. Hell comes from the Norse goddess Hel. Her underworld was called Helheim but also Hell. There are various words like Ghenna that was representing the ever burning fires outside Jerusalem where sacrifices of adults and especially babies were made. It was filled with spikes for a quick death. It was also considered a dump.
Hades of course is another god of the Underworld and that was also what they called his domain of ancient Greek origin.
Metaphysically I believe this is Hell personally and heaven is going back to a state of not being attached to the physical.
There are many beliefs that most have even most in the west that say they don't believe in these places are going from a frame of reference relating to Judeo/Christianity which I personally don't follow. Belief is just that..its tied up with faith and unprovable. So the person would have to believe in certain things to even think of dreaming of heaven or the character.
I believe hell is what you make of it. You're in it right now so...do you dream of heaven?
No, I don't believe so.
If someone did something on earth who deserve to go to hell, there is no way they wanted to go to Heaven after death.
i would hope they did, otherwise what is the point of it being hell?
Yes...I think that any hellspawn would dream of or think of going to Heaven - some out of true repentance and guilt, and some to want to go to raise hell. There could by myriad reasons...
This is a psycho-theological question. Even if you do not personally believe in Hell/Heades/ect does't mean you should ignore the question.
I think that if a person were able to escape from Hell, with that experience burned into their psyche, they would naturally want better. So I would have to say yes. Unless of course it was all that they ever knew. For instance if a child has been severly abused by their parents, they will still miss their parents.
personally i dont believe in heaven or hell.. i believe in reincarnation... but i think that if it were to happen... that person might dream or heaven
i belive they wouldn't have time to form a thought, let a lone a dream.
I had always believed in that if you where either in Heaven or Hell thats where you would remain no getting out of there. But for me I say to my family and friends I'm not going to either I'm staying around to haunt you like you have me.
well i think that everyone is different i think i would hate heaven seems to goody goody and who know how bad hell really is?
thats if hell really exsist to me it does and i guess if hell is what people and the bible make it out to be im sure the people banished there would want to be out
maybe they would if hell is what is portrayed, but what if it isnt? heaven and hell are oly stories to scare people.
If I believed in Hell, which I don't - I would imagine it's quite a bit like Florida. Brutally hot...humid...full of tourists with pale white legs wearing socks with sandals and swearing at me from their rented Prius while searching desperately for Mickey Mouse or some white sand beach that they saw in a brochure at AAA.
Then for an even more completely hellish experience, the tourists are all 85 years old and drive only 38 miles an hour and they all eat lunch at exactly noon on every weekday, and if they skip lunch, then they've run over to the bank to sit in the drive-through and fill out their deposit slips which will take them months because they're blind from the sun-glare off of their ghostly white legs..where they're not covered by socks...
Wait...THIS IS HELL!
Now, i have just had a thought, Hell could = earth+heaven at the same time, to explain,
Hell side, all the killing anger and hatred we harbor on this earth, the fighting and bloodshed all the time. there is never a day without it!
heaven side, all the happiness, joy and love we have everyday all the time, some people, i know i did, see birth as heaven, it was the best time in my life.
I personally do not buy into the existence of “hell” as generally described, but if one was to be punished in the afterlife I do not think “dreams” would be something allowed for they can institute hope and an existence without hope is true punishment.
*trepidation I have thought along those lines for a long time that true hell is a continous existance here on Earth, never achieving real goals or finding happiness and doomed to continue the cycle forever.
I'm sure that they would want to dream of it.
But my idea of hell is somplace that suckes all hope and dreams out of you. or a place where you couldn't dream at all.
..if this is Hell, I believe in Heaven.
As to those who say no VR members can no of 'one', WTF! How do they know.
All is theory, till proven otherwise.
Many interpretations of Christian hell would claim that hell is in fact just the absence of god's presence or light. It wasn't until much later that things took on a much more fiery concept full of demons and pitchforks and other Dante-esque imagery. So in that early interpretation, yes they would dream or think of heaven because hell was knowing that you were outside of it.
Another Christian interpretation is that hell is just death. The absence of anything. A lot like sleep but without the dreaming since you just no longer exist. Not as frightening I guess but certainly less appealing than eternal life on a paradise earth.
Those that believe hell to be eternal flames and torment with the whole gnashing of teeth and demons who torture you forever would have to acknowledge that there'd be little time for dreaming or anything else short of screaming in pain.
I'd say that they all seem a bit hard to believe but then since I have no faith, I'd be silly to suggest otherwise.

Beings in hell wishing to be in heaven?.... That's like asking if people in max security prisons don't wish to be with their families....
ArmyPenguinOfExplodiness -
And that's presuming everyone has familes. Many don't. Your statement becomes rather null and void taking that into consideration.
well what kind of heaven would they dream of? an ultimate bliss or a world of burning treachory?
I believe heave and hell are what you make it. Hell for a person is what they, themselfs believe it to be. i'm sure i would dream of heaven if stuck in a place of damnation maybe.
I imagine they dream of their previous life. They were denied heaven so they probably hope for life on earth since it was familiar and they remember it.
If You Go By The Christian Faith Then It Is Not decided Yet,
The Dead Wait For Judgment Day And I Do Not think It Is Here Yet.
If You Believe In Reincarnation Then Being Human Is Hell lol
I believe in Heven and Hell and I do beleive that if you go to hell you must have doing something bad so Not sure if you go there you want to level
my belief of being in hell is like this.
There is a final judgement when you die. If you have commited sin, you will go to hell. But hell is just like jail, you are only in there for a certain time until you're let back into heaven. If you do wrong in heaven, you may be sent back into hell.
but what if being here, being alive is like a second chance for us to go to heaven. those that were in hell and are trying to repent must go through life in order to get back into heaven..does that make sense?
Sasori - Hell is to supposedly punish the bad, the sinners. Some people prefer sin to the good of Heaven.
It all depends on what ones perception of heaven and hell is of course. Now when I was of the Christian faith I believed hell to be a place one went when you died and had not lived by the word of God and had not asked for forgiveness of your sins. A place of torment adapted to fit the sinner, punishment dealt out in a way each person would find the most terrifying for them.
So basically I feel the sinner may have remorse and they may not, its not a reform school. Some may wish they were elsewhere some may not even think of it.
I adore and found fascinating the image of Hell portrayed by Dante in his Divine Comedy!
I belive they are but aren't...some may wish it but can not achieve it and others may have just excfepted there fate, one way of putting it ' Okay so im in hell, at least I had fun on the way here'
