How old were you when you first discovered your calling or fascination towards the world of vamyrism/wiccan/lycan/or witchcraft?
How deep was your interest and how did you persue that interest?
Are you an active participant in related activities aside from here on VR?
I was very young when I discovered I was into all this. My parents recognized it and tried to supress it. They are devote christians....And when I say that, I mean that they take the religion to the extreme. I had no one to help me figure anything out so I'm in the process of doing that now.
I must say that my fascination with things dark is still in it's infancy.
I was recently drawn into this real by my wife. Her manifestation of these interests are also fairly new, but I'm sure she will drop in to say that she has always identified somewhat with all things wiccan.
I was about 2 yrs old when I first asked my mom the question of why vampires were in my room. She thought I had a great imagination. I was 16 when I started on my Wiccan path and by the time I was 19, I knew magick was the right path. By the time I was 25, the fascination with vampires and their powers, took me to a heightened awareness, which leaves me to where I am today. I accept that I am different and I embrace my differences. I do participate in other activities related to the occult outside of the VR...:)
I had was a "wierd" child from the get. I saw things and remembered things that no one else did. I can't remember how many times I told my mom about something that I remebered happening that she would say didn't. I grew out of it mostly because my mom started telling me people were going to think I was crazy if I kept talking about these things. Now I can barely access my gifts and when I do it's usually by accident.
I was about 12 when I found out that I was a vampire and yes I'm very active in the vampire "world".
seems as if it has always been there for me..labeled a weird kid when little and still am..
LOL
I would say I have had a facination with Vampires and other worldly things since I was a teenager. Maybe even younger
I've always considered myself 'different' and as long as I can remember had a fascination with vampires and the 'darker' side of life. I never really fitted in when I was younger...never really wanted to either. But I didnt really accept who I was until a couple of years ago...I felt something inside me, but it's only since I let it out and accepted it have I become a much stronger person mentally.
13 but I didn't start following everything until last year
i was 6 and started having precognitive death dreams about family members, among other strange things that happened
When I was in my childhood. vampires always fascinated me. Their immortality really made me feel in love with them, something that cannot be explained and it grew with me through these years.
As long as I can remember I have always liked vampires or anything magical. I don't know if it was a calling but I've never stopped. I'm not a vampire or which ect. but I still find myself drawn toward knowing more about it.
I guess I always knew that I had witch blood in me. I have always been interested in the occult.
i always knew id be attracted to it. the women are JUST more sexy everything is JUST more attractive. but in answer i would say my teen years is when i understood the calling. im am only now begining to become active.
The earliest I can remember is when I was 3. I would pick at scabs to make them bleed and drink it. My mom had to buy lots of pillow cases because I'd even do it in my sleep. Of course I'm not as coordinated in my sleep so it would ruin pillow cases.
since childhood i was always cutting myself to drink my blood. i'm doing my best .
as far back as I can remember I have always been fasinated by all of them
Probably around 5 or 6 yrs old for vamps. Ive always as far back as i can recall have had a fascination with wolves/lycans...
I always loved the things that society thought to be "strange" from a very young age.
Throughout pre-school I was "the wierd girl with all the imaginary friends".
I sympathised with the witches and demons in the stories we read, and even challenged my religous education before my first Communion.
I only got into Paganism after reading information about modern Witchcraft when I was doing a report on the Salem Trials.
But I think stuff like this lies in your soul before you pick up the first book/website/information about it.
i was 12 or 13and i was bored with the "norm" and so i started studing witchcraft and some how got intrested in vampies
All my life as a Witch. My Aunt, Grandmother and Mother were and had gifts. My mother always read cards..regular playing cards. I would consider myself as an inherit witch. I just was and have practice and studied, where as my family members thought it taboo and never enhanced the gifts they were given. I was awaken to my Vampire side 6 yrs. ago.
since i was very young ive always been into witchcraft, i used to be a practicing but lately i havent but love reading of vampires and witches books
I was about 12 or 13 i think. And never really delved into it until i was 16.10 years ago now.
I was 23 when I found myself in a coffin and didnt know how I got there.....
I started watchin vampire movies when i was very small like about 9 i think always loved them
I snuck up at night as a very small child to watch the late night horror movies always involving vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures. As I grew to a teenager I had quit organized religion and began reading of other things. It was as an adult that I became Wiccan.
When I was around 9 or 10 I started having dreams that would come true. Kinda like I was seeing into the future. It wasn't actually until I was around 22 that I started looking into things more in depth.
As I don't belong to a House or Coven outside of VR, I do pratice on my own.
I always knew... but it came full circle last summer...(24)
I was about 10 years old when I discovered I was different then the other kids. That's when Vampires became a part of my life.
I do things other then VR.
I've always had a fascination with the paranormal, vampires, etc. But it was just recently (about 2 years ago) that I've become more interested, developed, and researching them.
My interests grow with everyday. There is only so much that I can do at my age, and still be taken seriously.
I dont know if I can ever recall a time I didnt have a fascination with darker things. Im not really as active in things as I am curious . I believe with this being a taboo subject in my family its the reason my curiosity became so strong . Rebellion at its best
This is really strange but I started to be interested in vampire stuff when my g/f and I dressed as vampiresses a couple of years ago for a party then took the fantasy to the bedroom.
in all honesty.. i have had a great love for wolves since i was five.....i had a chance meeting with one out in the woods....whe ni was out wit hthe biological father who wa hunting at the time.....well he and his freinds went of hunting.. while i was left behind wit hone of the others ..well he happened ot wander off........ during this time a huge wolf..(well at that age everything was huge( came int othe area i was sitting in...he came up t ome and sniffed. me a few times... then stated t olike my face......now whe nthe other guy came back he tried t oshowww the wolf at it were. but instead of leaving the creature started growling towar the man and wouldnt let him near me.......until the others came back and fired a few shots into the air.. it stayed wit hme for about 3 hours.......now i dont know if it was a female protecting its cub.. or what.. but ever since thne i have had this love for thee amazing creatures... as far as the vamps.. well soon after i found that thoses were fascinating beings as well.. but no where near the love i have for wolves....
Lycan thats a great experience to remember....mice.
For me, I can remember as far back as early childhood, that I knew I was different, that I wasn't like my family, I was out of place...this coupled with the amazing psychic and ghostly experiences I've had from that point on as well...made my childhood a more than normally mature search for explanations. I also had 2 dreamrealm guides that would guide me as I got a little older, pre-puberty. At about 5th grade the bloodlusts kicked in, and the mere sight of blood was attracting like raw meat to a lion..but after my teens set in, I finally had donors, and blood experiences...I never got into drinking from myself (I think thats not getting much, since it's not from any other source).
Belief in therians and other Kin kicked in at about 13...I also have some therian past, and I have met far too many other Kin in my life not to believe they exist.
My interest in the darker side of life started at about the same time as kindergarten did. My taking notice of my thirst was not until around 16 and then I never fully understood what it was that I was craving until about 20. We had a non-lethal but just as tragic event in our family and that was the last step to opening my eyes to what I truely was. Since then, I have been as active as possible in all "otherkin" events and meetings in my area regardless if I follow the specific beliefs of that meeting or not. I mainly go to learn, meet those who are of a similar nature as I, and to help those who themselves are just awakening to their "calling".
i was about 13 i woke up one day and every kid of light hurt my eyes, and i was thirsty but nothing would quench it. my parents are very extream cristans so they took me to doctor after doctor and they had no answers. it was about that time i started talking to my neighbor he informed me that he was a psy. vamp and he belived i was a combo of both. i have been folowing that path ever sience. and yea i am involved outside of v.r
See Natriel, there are few and far between of us who do such in the communities just to be helpful and not to get something or a title out of it....kudos to you. I've been actiuve myself in the Kin communities for over 6 years.
Ok as a child I always seem to know there was something more. I was always one to question and ask the continual why question in regards to my christian upbringing. As a teen I was learning more about mother nature and developing my interests in that area, but had no real direction. When I was 17 I got my very first tarot deck and that set me on the path, it is based on greek mythology and I started studying and learning mythology and was drawn time and time again to the egyptian mythologies, histories and religion. My studies have carried on over the years and I moved on to studies other religions and in that process discovered wiccan and paganism in general. I am ecelctic and practice my own believes on a individual basis.
My interest is rather deep, I continue studying, testing theories and constantly learning... sharing and exploring with others from time to time. I practice my own rituals and follow my heart.
Outside I have been part of many groups and forums, but have always found I leave when I have learnt what I needed to at the time, I definately follow my instincts in that area. On VR and especially in my own coven I have found a family I can trust. So I feel free to explore and express myself better than I have ever been able to. :)
Insofar as being involved off VR, since I neglected to answer that before, forgetful me, I have been very active online and off in the Kin Community for about 6 years...I worked with Shadowlore (as seen above in ads on VR), and loved it, I've tried meetups, festivals, and other events, to make friends, and be of helpo when possible, and I was also once on tv for a vampire show....I don't care about fame, or money, or power and 'titles', I just want to help.
Oh yeah, and I run deep into spirituality- paganism, have since I was a teen, too much details to name here, and this started with finding out that my ancestors in Ireland has been burned as withces...and that 'thing's ran in the family..and I denounced Christianity
Since getting older my malice towards xtians has lessened, hack it up to experience and getting more mature.
For as long as I can remember I have been drawn to the darker side of things. It wasn't till I was 14 - 15 that I really started thinking about it and discovering it for myself
I was 12 when I first started getting drawn into Wicca. It took a while, but I soon realized I was more than just a witch, and started researching otherkin. That's when I started reading about vampires and realized that I was one. Probably was 13 when I fully came to realize who and what I was.
i was very young. i was just facinated with blood and found out vampires thrive on it so i have been hooked ever since
I'd say i was about 11 or 12 when i really got in to it... but if you ask my parents i was always in to the darker side fo stuff...
I think I have always been into the darker things for as far back as I can remember! Always been labelled as weird, but could adapt & fit in to almost any group, I guess! I have tried to learn about it, but would much rather be normal I think! Living in a small town, if I participated outside vr I would be the only one that did! I would end up on the local prayer list! lol So basically no, outside of vr, I try to be as normal as possible!
probably early teens with witchcraft and late teens with vampires
I've always been facinated. But around the age of 12 is when I really dug in and started researching things.
I think I was about 13-14 i always loved stories about vampires and ghosts....
I had a girlfriend who loved wicca so It was then. About 13 years ago I guess.
I was four when I became attracted to the side darker side of life. I discovered vampires at age six. I started writing my first horror stories at age seven. I have never out grown my fascination. No matter how hard I tried when I was a young teenager to step away from these things it was almost like I could not escape them. Of course later on if life I just embraced them.
I think it is easier for those of us who knew from an early age...this is where patience comes into play though I must say it is not one of my virtues..but I try
Plus, questions directed toward Elders always help..just be sincere in wanting knowledge..no games or if you just think its cool..those should be directed to just here...
Since everything I did I was with my sister, darkseleene being my twin we statred out in the whole vampire wicca thing when we we ity bity. very young.
I got into the whole vampire life style when i was about 16 and have been ever since i will be 34 soon and have a fond memory of living as one from a past life
i have always been interested in the paranormal and in fantasy since i was like two. i've always had this vampire fetish, ever since i was eight. now, it's more than obsession, it's passion and spirit.
For me i came aware when i was 7, took me that length of time again to understand, and i am active in both learning and participation outside of this site,
I fell into the world of vamps and sorcery oh i´d say when i was 15. Even tried to practise some spellcasting and such ( never worked tough ) lol. Time went on and i grew older and now my intrests are almost only tied with VR, no time to play vamps and wizards anymore :)
i was age 5 when i started liking paranomal stuff and vampires goth
1. 7yrs old
2. 13 yrs old
3. Unfortunately no. But I would love to ;)
How old were you when you first discovered your calling or fascination towards the world of vamyrism/wiccan/lycan/or witchcraft?
I was about 12 or 13, my english teacher read us dracular and ever since it has developed and grown
How deep was your interest and how did you persue that interest?
I was at first only intrested in books and films buit then it grew
Are you an active participant in related activities aside from here on VR?
yes...
im in my teens but it was 5 or 6 years ago i started wondering magic and imagination i started reading about it everyone in my class said i was a freak but i just have a better view of the world they are just locked in a world were one persin says what is real and imagination i like many others like me have broken free of this prison.
i was in my teens! i was always different from the rest n seeing blood made me calm when i was small. But until i got into my teens.....maybe 15 or 16 and finally finding the people i knew i was suppose to find to help me n guide me truely told me who i was
i came to know the vampyre side of me when i was 5 but i didnt explore the magikal side until i was 20.....i have always believed things were diffrent from the way i was raised
I was very young when I became drawn to the darker elements of the lifestyle I now live in. I was fascinated with vampires and theyre lifestyke when I was very young. the first time I ever watch the lost boys, and down of the vampire with my step dad when I was 10. of course being in a very small town where the abnormal ceases to exist along with the normal humans lives from day to day, you just didnt admit that. sure I was into purple and dark red, and wore a lot of black. and ocansionally i got beat up for it, but I was proud of who I was. and still am.
I was a donor once, but after I became sick I never went back. I was a wiccan for a couple of years but ecpereienced some thing I never should have mitnessed at such a young age and so early in studies. my mentor and I dont speak, we silently decided that it was better off that way.
i honeslty dont know, i was young, cuz i remember hissing at this girl like i was a vampire when i was like 3 or 4, and the thought of some dark brooding handsome guy coming in the night to take me away to his castle and live forever just appealled to me ever since i can remember
scratch my last post i thought i was on a different topic lol i was about age 10 when i discovred my fantasys in them started drawing bats n sutff holloween and other thing s like horror movies attracted me im a big steven king fan.
I can't remember a time when I WASN'T into learning about vampires-I began reading at a much higher level early on, I preferred watching "Dark Shadows" to cartoons, and would sneak off to the den late at night to watch horror movies (often getting my ass beat in the process). I continued that obsessive collection of knowledge to the present, and was delighted when I found this site, and discovered, that unlike so many other so called "vampire sites" this one concentrated more on illumination and knowledge, encouraging people to express themselves and to write, contribute, and educate others like ourselves, making it far superior to the "date and mate" sites proclaiming to be about vampires. To that end, I have felt more freedom to explore vampirism, my own special gift of empathy, and to pursue friendships with like minded individuals without fear of being talked down to, or being laughed at.
I Just Found Out This Year At The Age Of 16.
~Yours In The Darkness~
I have always known that I had abilities; however, they have grown over time. This sparked my interest in Vamyrism and Witchcraft. I have been persuing these avenues since I was about 15. I have studied all the materials that I can get my hands on and at one point even joined a coven. I left that coven after I discovered how fake everyone there was. However, now I am here.
As to the question of how are you persuing this outside of VR. I am expounding by stating that I am looking for participation in other groups or simply studying materials.
it wasent long ago. and i like to thank of myself as active.
i was 9 i had found a book in a old book store it was in pore shape!
i think for me it had to of been when i was in 4th grade and attending a luthern school that i relized that it wasnt me...... and that i had belifes that outher kids and my teachers did not........i struggled through until i was in high school when i realy relized who i was ..... i am pagan and i do practice the pagan ways.........
I remember being able to astral project and having lucid dreams before I ever started school..... it was my way of escaping from a dysfunctional family and childhood. I also remember being fascinated with things such as the Salem Witch Trials and spell casting in general. I cant remember a time when I didnt want to be wiccan. I practice in my own way, outside of VR, and I "teach" my lil one some things, he is too young to understand it all, but he is very interested, and I dont want him going down the wrong "path"....
I've been interested in many things like this since I was 10 or 11. It's been an obsession that I haven't grown out of and will probably be with me all my life...
I've always known but never known if that makes sense. It's only been very recently that i have been able to work out why i have felt the way i have for so long. I am not active at all apart from VR as i am really finding my way in the world, being as i am.
i was very young but my parents supresed it too...
i wasn't able to broaden my experiences untill a year and a half ago..
i was already kinda turning in my parents eyes but when i came home with my boyfriend who's also a vampire i had a place ( namely his home) to get hide information and to search what i needed an stuff...
so i'm still getting to know everything but i love it more and more and I really starting to undertsnad myself...
nice to be of help
greetings Lost Darkangel
hmmm I would say in my early teen years I became aware that I like some diffrent things then most ppl.
as far as being active out side of vr yes I am, I am proud of what I am
each time my memories start to come when puberty is reached and it also triggers the facination and yes im as active as possible away from vr
I've have been attracted to the 'dark' side since I was an infant. I mean, I was raised Christian, went to CCD and all, never made my first communion though :) Mainly because they wouldn't let me. When we were in class, I would always ask questions about Lucifer and never about God, so they didn't think I was right in the head to begin with :) But also, the first movies I ever saw were about the supernatural. I started watching TV when I was like 5 months old and as far as I can remember, I only watched horror movies, cuz that's what everyone else was watching. Dracula was my first movie, my mum says that's what made me so weird and started me down the path I'm on now. Dad wasn't too pleased with it, but he was never home to do anything about it :) He doesn't like my involvement with witchcraft. Since I was a kid, though, I've always had a fondness for creatures other people had a hard time believing in, but I didn't. i have a soft spot in my heart for Lycans, as my first friend was a wolf and Vampires have always been my first love :)
Much to young, the people in my life at that time did not know how to deal with me or it.
I NEVER KNEW THAT I WAS IN TO THIS MY SISTER GOT ME TO LOOK AT THIS STUFF
although this may be very vague but ever since i could remember, i suppose around 3 or 4 years old.
las long as my memorie takes me back
however i could never out it because of my famly...
well after reading one of the posts in the sandbox, i would have to say its when i started eating Count Chocula cerial..lol..im sorry, i couldnt resist, if you find this post in the sandbox, you'll understand..lol
I have been interested as long as I can remember I really started to read up on different things when i was about 16
