I have this thing where I will dream something up and then a couple weeks later it will feel like deja vu.

What are your thoughts and opinions on premonitons. And have you ever had any?

visions has always been a trait in my family my mom is always tellin me of strange events that have happened in places around. she saids all the time this person told me and this other person tells me to do this. It helps her to make the important decisions that she has to make in her life.

sometimes i feel what is going to happen. like when somebody knocks on the door or i look at the phone and rings or i receive and msg. i even get up from my sleep and i feel the telephone will ring and it does.

that's pretty wicked. My step-mother and I actually shared a dream once. We were both in the same dream, except we had different views of it. The dream was about the war in Iraq--I was dreaming I was a kid from Iraq and she was dreaming she was a solider.

I have that often, its kind of freaky, to have the deja vue poping up sort of speak, but its also interesting and kind of funnny at times. So fare not to many bad premonition, still it happens that they are bad, and most of the time I just keep to myself that I already knew that would happen.

Yes i have a similar thing happen to me.
I will dream or have a vison of something.
Then some times in a week or so my preminiton will come true.

Its been happening to me for about a year now. i`ve gotten used to it but it is freaky sometimes.

Premonitions and intuition are things I believe in.I have had too many experiences where I foresee something and it happens for real. Not all the time but once in a blue moon.

When I was younger I had lots of dreams that "seemed" to of happened when I was awake, it was a really strong feeling of de ja vu. I haven't had that in many years now.

when i was a young child i would often sit looking at the picture opposite the big windows in our living room and one day told my mum that the picture was evil. At the time, she though i was simply playing make-believe or some such game and left me to it.
As that day turned to evening, the picture fell from the wall, but the glass did not break and the picture was returned to its place on the wall.
The next day my mother heard that a friend of the family had died the previous evening. Coincidence maybe?
After the picture had fallen a further three times over the course of the next 12 months, with a family member/friend passing each time ~ the picture was removed and destroyed.

this morning i dreamed my friend would talk my ear off about foreign literature that is beyond my comprehension and a few moments later he phoned me talking about philosophers.

I happen to get deja vu alot, so I wouldn't be suprised if I dream about something happening, and then it comes back to haunt me later hehe. But, of the things I DO remember, I can usually "tell" when something will happen or what is about to happen. I can either sense it or feel it.

I believe in it, because how you discribe it.. that is just like me.
A lot of time I have (day)dreams about stupid things, but in a couple of days it really happend.
Small things just like: the phone rangs at the moment I'm eating a candybar. Or I walk in the supermarket and I pick up some food while my father is saying something.

Mine was Incredibly accurate. Even right down to what the person in question, LOOKED like! ( I had never seen her efore in MY life)

I do , so much like others, I see posting here, since childhood.My Mum was really blessed with second sight and so on.But mine has gotten a wee bit stronger with mediatation and better control and focusing.
Since my awakening also, my ability has gotten stronger.I do most of my work in that area with a scrying mirror.

I dream of things that happen a few months later. Some are good most are bad.

Sometimes I get them in dreams, other times I just get them, for no apparent treason. I may be reading, watching TV, or just zoning out. I take them very seriously because almost always, they are accurate!

I have been told that we mentally pick up details unknowingly and tend to incorporate these into dreams and images resulting in the feeling of deja vu. It isn't that it doesn't happen, but that you unknowingly have made it happen with the minute details. I'm not so sure I believe that as I once had a dream that my daughter broken her arm and had a pink cast and was awaken in the middle of the night when she fell out of the top bunk, I took her to the ER and she had broken her arm, three days later I took her in for her cast and when they brought her back out it was pink. A little different than deja vu, more of a premonition. So...I guess it all depends on what you belief. Trust your intuitions.

I do have them from time to time. Does not matter what I may be doing or whom I am with. Sometimes it is through touch , sometimes not. All I know is they happen when they happen I cannot control it. But I have learned to believe they should not be ignored , and are there for a reason. And in conclusion I will never let it fill my head with unattainable expectations .

Sometimes I feel it's a curse...because I have them...but I don't want to think they are true...but then they happen...and I truly am screwed.

Yes I believe in them, personally no I have never had one, But I await the day that I do fianally get one.

I do have premonitions occassionally, though they happen at random and are often somewhat irrelevant. Perhaps it is because I am still young and that power is still developing.

They were so strong when I was a kid that I could walk in somewhere and tell you minutes before what would happen, what people would do etc.

Was pretty scary back then.

not so much premonitions , but intuition, gut feelings...... i trust them when they come about and they have yet to prove me wrong......

yes ive had these...all i can say is they scared the shit out of me but it happens...alot

They scare me sometimes too, specially the really bad ones.

Yep... happens to me. Everytime I do something stupid I had a premonition that I was going to get caught.

i get them some times they seam so like dreams and i pass them off as just that but they all seem to come true, well so far they have anyway. and i also get the strange feelings that im not alone when i kno even spiritually there really shouldnt be any1 there with me.

For almost as long as I can remember, I've been to places in real life that I know I've never been to before and then I'll realize that I saw this place in a dream. I'm always experiencing deja vu.

not premonitions but lucky intuition. ill be out on a walk, reading a book and following my feet and when i look up occasionally i see somethin extreamy valuble/relevant to my near future. things i wouldnt have ever found if i was taking main roads or short cuts.

things like, say ill be asking myself where the local pool is cuz its getting hot and zone out on a walk and look up and BAM pool.

im totally craving hummos and halva, look up from my book and see a flyer for a mediterranian festival starting tomarrow. the flyer is very small and rare, the advertising is mostly by word of mouth so im lucky to have seen it at all. esp since it was in some random greek church back alley of all places. go figure..

I too have gotten premonitions in dreams. Been that way ever since I was a kid. The return time on the vision can be anywhere from just a couple of weeks to several month. And there is definitely a deja vu/dreamlike feeling when it all comes to pass.

usually i can look at any event in my or my friends personal life and see exactly how it will turn out . Sometimes i will get the feeling that something is going to happen before there is any visable sign of it which often has made me able to be in a very benificial position when it does happen.

I dreamt of one of my friends before I ever met him...very strange...but that was the only time anything like that has happened...

my senses tell me when something is up or if something is going on with people I also have dreams with number's in them and everytime i have had those something happened to someone that i knew.

A lot of my more vivid dreams end up becoming reality later on. I look at certain events now and I realize that I saw this coming years ago, but I was too young to understand what I was seeing.

I believe we have senses that we havent openned up and used as yet, the human is a very complex animal but unlike animals we dont utilize all our senses. Some ppl have openned some up ie esp etc, I think we can see the future amongst other things but because we dont use all our senses we see it in our dreams to make us aware of it..

lots of times i get a feeling of what will happen and have had vivid dreams of things that will happen but they dont always come to pass but i have learned to head thier warning

every now and then. unfortunutlly i don't get the whole thing, i only get part of what is going to happen. it does get annoying. -_-

Always. I just wish that they were complete premonitions instead of partials all the time. The wait kills me sometimes.

i dont get premonitions but I can tell some things without even thinking about people.

i get feelings about situations, i know what will happen if something continues the way it is. usually i can pick out the bad before the good though, and i don't like that.
although i like the warning, i'd like to know about good things too

Ya, I get them alot...it doesnt matter if it is a big thing or somthing little. I always dream them and then when they happen it always seems like de ja vu....my mom keeps telling me that its just my mind not registering....but i dont think so. everything always comes true.

many of my dreams have turned out to be premonitions. many of them were just nightmares that never really came to any head in the waking world. so its hard for me to decide which are premonitions and which are not after i wake. i dont usually know till it happens. i do however, sometimes think of things out of nowhere. i can tell when someone im close to is in any sort of trouble because i think of it and feel it out of nowhere. but i dont get visions. which to me is a blessing in disguise.

i knew my great grandfather had died by the way the phone rang. it was the same ring of course but it had something that i picked up on.

ive had premontions as long as i can remeber i dream something and a couple weeks or so later it happens ive learned to just live with it i dont question but a few that i cant understand

I do some times, but they are more like feelings of dread. My grandmother would get premonitions all the time about us grandchildren, scary that most of them turned out correct.

I have the same event happen to me... although my time frame will very from a couple of days to a couple of months but it's there.... I always thought it had something to do with a past life.... a situation I've already been through and am making the connection but I never thought it could be a premonition... i've gotten them in my sleep and a couple days later something will happened that i dreamed.

my people believe if u talk about it ,,,,,,,,the power decreases and others can steal your knowledge, I never talk about it but yes 2 both your questions

Im on the fence about premonitions as much as deja vous... I supposed my uncertainty about the unknown makes me attempt logic (lol, whatver logic is nowadays...) first. In this case, I tend to think it's late registration of information or the mind's ability to mold meaning out of an event in a dream, let's say, and link it to an actual event.

they just do not realize they are having them

i have had a few myself about things that did not seem important or never understood why they were and to find later that it was a peice to something important to happen later on

I get them all the time I will grab the phone and then realize it is not ringing but will hold on to it for a minute then it does ring. Everyone is always asking me how I know the phone is going to ring but it is like I hear it ringing just a few seconds before it does.

Nice to know that this is a common phenomena. Maybe the human race is finally evolving.

I know I have dreamed things before, and then told somebody, and then it happened, and they remembered too. So I have confirmed visions of the future in my sleep (but not always consistent - sometimes abstract. Also, i have to remember what i dream).

Also, there is the simple de ja vu. Simply feeling like you have done something or experienced this before, in an entirely new place. Or the feeling of knowing somebody who you've never met. these are all signs of premonition, sometimes clairvoyance, and definitely ESP. This seems to be a definite part of the next step in homo sapien evolution.

de ja vu is diff with that you feel like you have been there or seen that before

with premontions it is something that is going to happen in the future

bathory, that happens to me too, ill pick up my phone cause i thought it was ringing. and then it rings. i never considered that a premonition before tho.

Yes when I notice a big change is coming every thing gets like déjà vu, I just look at what’s going on and change it I do the opposite of what I would do if im in a negative spiral……. I seems to give fate the slip I believe and the world bcomes a mystery and ignorance is bliss

okay i am very new to all of this. i'm not use yo people being open and not weirded out by talking about this kind of stuff, i am still very new to the rave and all of the people i don't know anyone really to talk to about any of this but i as well have premontions, i'm still getting use to the fact that i do have them and its still sometimes hard not to act on the things i see but i don't want to fuck up anything worse than it already is and i'm still having a hard time telling what are and are not premontions..

I think De ja vu is probably at least a early symptom of successful premonitions.

i do when i sleap its kinda hard to describe however i will dream of something that makes no since to me then about a month later my life relates to the dream in extream accuracy its kinda scarry

I do but it s really hard to describe the feeling...I don t dream about it just feel or see what will happen it s weird and I m very confused when this happens to me.

I have premonissed a few times, only I can't recognize a premonition until it happens. I wish I could learn to recognize what IS a premonition and what is not, then act upon the real ones.

The most devastating premonition was my own car accident an hour before it happened.

I truly beleive in them, but mine always comes to me in dreams. I dream them 2to3 times then a week or 2 later they happen. the worst one was a man getting run down by a semi. It turned out to be my brother.

I dreamt my friends girl cheated on him, and I could point out details to him, I also have visions of the past

i had flashes of memory from from present and it turns it into future thoughts and i see them befor they come

I have that happen in dreams. I dream something, then months, sometimes yrs later it will happen just as my dream.

I find it funny that people dont beleive in it, yet look how often it occurs

Visions tend to haunt me every night in my sleep. So, I know how you feel. I have them almost every night.

AOD that exact thing happens to me alot. I had a dream I got in a fight at work and quit. Thankfully I've been too sick to go in. But I'm scared when I do, and scared for the chick I beat, lol.

I try my hardest to stay away from whatever I dream of in reality. Most of my dreams....well...aren't very good at all.

De ja vous -- yes, premonitions....nyah. i can think hard on a movie or song i hadn't seen or head and within a week or two, it becomes non-stopp on the radio and cable

i don't want to put a damnper on things but i would like to say that u should have that checked by a DR because de ja vu is a symptom of a sizesure

My boyfriend thinks I am strange because when I say something is going to happen it usually happens within a few minutes, maybe a few hours of when I first mentioned it. I have always had premonitions like this but I never knew whether I should tell other people or keep them to myself lol. Most people I know would think I'm crazy :).

I don t think everyone has them .

I have them but i must sleep first for my dreams have always told me things hidden to me.

I believe we have the power to see short distances into our future and sometimes dreams can be warnings or an insight to where your going.

I have had some strange premonitions myself. I don't seem to get them through my dreams, rather my random thoughts. Most of the time I don't realize that it's going to happen, but then it does and it becomes like a sort of dejavu

so it seems a lot of us have them and also we don't really remember them untill they happen

When I was younger I used to get them all of the time. But a friend of mine died from a horrible accident and I couldn't do anything to stop it from happening. I asked God to take it away because I couldn't handle it. Why show me something that I cannot prevent from happening.

I've had alot of premonitions in my lifetime, but have yet to explain them. I've just gotten to the point of accepting them and being more aware of my surroundings when I do have them.

I have plenty of deja vu's & I usually forget my dreams, say 99% of times so yea it might be plausible but certainly not aware that they could be premonitions...

Thats aweful mlsinger I would understand your not wanting to have those premonitions again.

me and my friend have had premonitions the past 3 weeks, and neither of us paid any attention to it until now. but it's way more than just dreams...

we've had headaches, we've had nightmares... and the humans are completely oblivious to it. it's just me and the vampires....

the strange ominous feeling that's shrouding my school get's worse. i've had a dream about the theme park that made my fur stand on end. and she had two dreams about the park!!

both of us have dreams about strange occurences with our FRIENDS, and the ones who are close to us! like family our our loves... i'm not sure... but i'm pretty scared right now.

something's not right, something bad is going to happen. i've ignored it for the past 3 weeks because it didn't seem important. now strange things are happeneing like in the dreams, or even WISHES we had before!!

like for instance, i had a nightmare about my boyfriend killing some girl, so i knew that whatever bad thing was going to happen, it would be about a girl. AND IT WAS. i heard a rumor yesterday about a vicious rumor he said about her that spread through the school. but the story itself WAS a rumor!!

and my ex boyfriend wished very badly that his ex girlfriend who has long since left the school would talk to him again... so out of nowhere he gets a letter from her saying she loves him! good? no. because now he has issues with the girl he likes NOW.

sam's had nightmares about people at school as well as her friends! and weirder yet? it revolves around us, not the other humans. maybe a few who are close to us, but other than that, NONE. they're completely oblivious...

we keep carrying this wrong feeling in our chests and stomachs, like we know something bad is going to happen. it's an ominous feeling we can't shake... and it gets worse, especially tonight now that i know i'm not the only one picking it up!

I do. I have always had premonitions, visions, etc... but I have learned by now that there is nothing I do about them. I think more they are more of a copping tool than anything else.

Yes I sometimes have Premontions. When my grandmother died me and my roommate had been out with friends. When we got home the phone rang even before I answered it I knew it was my mom calling to tell me that my grandmother is dead.

Another time I had a dream that my fiance at the time punched a through a door and then punched someone. Years later after we got married he did not punch a door but did punch a hole in the wall I left him before he could punch me. I realized then I should never have married him in the first place.

I get the whole dream...then it happens later....it does feel very weird...I don't screamabout it I just think ookay that was a wee bit weird....

I had a premonition (seemingly so) 2 nights ago.. I am HOPING I am wrong on this one.. Although I am rarely wrong when i get a sense like these! :(

I have visions telling me about a person or maybe danger heading my way. And sometimes it is daja vu.
