The basic understanding is an immortal "vampire" can be more vicious and evil than their mortal counterparts. I don't believe that's true. I think mortal wants and desires are can be just as vicious and evil, but the idea of "Judgment" reigns in acting, where as a "vampire" being immortal can act with impunity. What du you think?

even an immortal will have his day, in this world everything has an end, and the judgement really depends on your beliefs i highly doubt all vampires belive in god and that the judgment day is coming.

mortals have devised forms of torture more horrible than anyone can imagine. well, anyone else obviously. ever seen the film "Monster Club"? Eramus puts forth a very convincing case for why humans are the greatest monsters of all.

those who keep the taugh of a certain jugement day or a day where all will be put in the balance has the effect of a break on the wrongs and evil doing, it is one thing that is the base to the choice some made, evil or not, vampires or humain it will draw the line.

I dont belive in a judgement day, i belive in reincarnation, so a vampire when it dies becomes something else...

i think that if someone is passionate about something they could overpower anything else. they could find the power that they couldn't before through their faith.

i think vampires are usually more viscious because they hae more faith in their ability to beat their human counterpart. they do not fear death becaue they have elluded it for so long, but humans have a shorter life span and therefore value it more. vampires have already lost their life and live in their death so they do not fear death for they are eternally lost in it.

For every action there is always a consequence. Consider a pebble in a pond. The ripple is small but reaches the entire pond. Immortality is not carte blanche for being montrous in action. It's a weak immortal that hides behind that sort of shield. An animal. Not an immortal.

I think the whole concept is rubbish.One cannot generalize a group..any group of people,creatures, whatever, and say they are ALL alike.And because someone is a vampire that person is all evil yadda yadda...One person can be just as evil or just as kind..as they wish to be..its all about choice.

Panthera, the thing about reincarnation is that there is a final judgement, and when you reach that final judgement, all your past lives are judged, not just the one you are currently living.

But I agree with many that "immortals" and "mortals" all have "their day" so to speak. We are all entwined in life, and though "mortals" have their judgement quicker, "immortals" have it eventually.

NocturnisOrchid, I agree with you about not everyone being judged for being a certain being either vampire or human.

I also believe it doesn't matter if your judgement time is near or far. Nor does it matter if one believes in reincarnation.

The belief in reincarnation is consequently a belief in a being turning into something else when they die, but it depends on what kind off past life they lived.. isn't that correct? So, everyone is judged. No exceptions... period.

There is no limit to the destructive actions some would take to survive . Everyone reacts differently . Large crowds that trample eachother when frightened, is a very scary human reaction . I do not want to be on the bottom of that doggypile ..

If a vampire is unaware of the consequences, in my eyes he is less evil then the human who does.

I agree that no one can be called evil unless he/she has complete understanding in what he/she is doing. I think that reincarnation is a much better concept than judgement day, simply because in reincarnation you have the chance to learn what you did wrong and how to fix it, rather than being punished.

Humans can be more evil then vampires it depends on how they act, what acts they commit and why they act the way the do. As far as judgment all will have a final judgement day some will just take longer to get to that day.

I think vampires have their own Gods and when their day comes their god will pass judgement on them, depending on what they personally believe! But the day will come!

Judged by who death? I see it only what i do is in my eyes to be judged by me and not others. Judgment for me is not an issue.

The immortal vampire is believed to be damned for its very existence. This doesn't mean that it acts without judgement but means that judgement has already been passed and there is no way to be redeemed...because of this, yes an immortal vampire could act with impunity because it already knows that it has lost no matter what it's action. Mortals on the other hand are believed to be judged after death for their actions in life (if we're dealing with the same judeo-christian source that damns the vampire) and not for what they are. Mortals must therefore act with knowledge of a score being kept where the vampire no longer needs to worry about a score...it's already lost the game so to speak.

I think it isint if you are mortal or not it is you temper some ppl might be more viscous then others so it all depends on the person not if Mortal or not

I'll agree that many go through life without worrying about judgment in the hereafter. Many of us don't necessarily believe in a hereafter. Some are so sure that their actions are righteous that it doesn't even occur to them that they may be doing evil. I can only hope that whatever god they believe it holds extra contempt for those who commit evil with righteous indignation.

Yes, I remember watching a movie once where a character said she would rather pay more attention to this life than what's going to happen after it.

I believe that Imortals and mortals are =....No one can live forever, there will be an end to day's and I dont that that were all going to live through it all so yes, judgment Must be passed on us all one day...

i think immortal is evil and....beacuse they are powerful and they can do anything....but mortal can just be the same....

I think the concept of Judgement is only for those whose personal philosophies make them feel they are subject to such because of religion. (which is not me) Practical consequences in this life, like jail or someone hitting you back, should be enough of a deterant. If you don't think mortals can be brutal, turn onthe tv news...

Vampires, just like other people, can choose not to believe that their actions will be judged, but this doesn't necessarily make that true. After all, India wouldn't simply disappear just because I didn't believe it existed, would it?

But I get what you're saying. In the case of things that nobody is truly sure about (i.e. God's wrath), it's much easier for people to say that they don't believe in it, and act accordingly.

I do not believe i will be judged, but if you live a good life, then how could someone judge you, who will be your judge? the god you worship? what if you worship an evil god then will you be judged good because you are doing evil?

Since in some sense we all are immortal *ie the soul* and yes I believe in a soul then yes were all due for something to be judged upon so what you give out you get back...The Law of 3 acts here just as well

i think it just depends on the person to how they act and what they do..how strong their urges are and how much self control they have.

All things are judged in the end. If you have belief in the immortality of vampires ( I don't ), then how worse is the judgement when it finally comes? Or how great the karmic reward for that matter?

I don't think that just because something knows it wont die it is going to be any more vicious then something that knows it can and will die. If something wants to be vicious and act out it is going to wether it will live forever or not

Even if a vampire lived to be 50,000 years old, death still looms over him/her. Just because they cannot die in the ordinary sense, most agree that there are ways to kill a vampire.

The question is can a vampire act differently from an animalistic monster to change his future judgement?

Sorry, to tell you guys. But ahem, there is no judgement day! Whenever you pass on to the next world. The only judgement day you will, is when you judge yourselves based on your own actions. It clearly states in your bible, in the book of Psalms that: "ye are gods". We are the true gods of this Earth! And we are afraid to claim our true birthright. It takes hard work to achieve this state. You won't be the god, but you will be a god, in charge of your own destiny. We have 4 higher senses, that we must strive to get back.

Which is locked in the sub-conscience part of our brain. The 10% which lies dormant. Religion was created to keep us submission and obediant. Even until we pass on, and they still want us to be in submission after we have attain angelic and godlike status. That is not what the most high has in store for us!

i would say that mortals with all the greed and deseption mortals are more evil and dangerous. Imortal vampire or most of them settle and agree with wat they are and keep life simple they have etirnity to get what they want they have all of the time.

i think that an immortal and a mortal can both be as vicious and evil as eachother but the difference is only one of them thinks about the reprecussions of there actions.an immortal probably doesnt think about their actions as they see themselves as never having to be judged ever again so they dont care.

i dont think mortality has anything to do with it. I think both immortals and mortals have the same ideals (maybe one has much more experience and has learned many more life lessons than the other) but in the long run, our minds control us. our decisions will be based on an individual basis, whether mortal or not. So i think that either way we are equally as evil if and when we want to be.

I think that being imortal wouldn't release you from judgement because we also judge our selfs and we can be much harder personally then other may judge us. Think about all the mistakes you have made and will make if you human in your short life imagin having to live forever punishing you for the wrongs you have done and the people you have loved and lost.

For all the " civility "mankind proclaims, it is, in my opinion, the most savage being to walk this earth. Animals kill , usually for two reasons, either to feed themselves, or to protect them selves. They are not cruel in their killing. They do not taunt or tease their prey.
Humans on the other hand, often kill for perverse reasons. devising methods to be as cruel and painful as possible. Just to watch someone, or something suffer, so they can feel superior.

I believe fear and prejudice have created the evil ideal of a immortal vampire. I believe that personality is a very strong gift that cannot be easily destroyed. So I feel that vampires can be honest and true, have integrity and be genuinely good people if that is who they chose to be.
