I have been thinking recently about revenge Rituals and the havoc they can apparently cause to the person they are sent to and so forth,so I guess what it is I am trying to ask is this:

Q1:Do they really work?

Q2:If some wronged you in terrible way would you use a revenge spell to get justice?

Q3:would the consequences be worse then actually damage meant for the person it was sent to?

That's a good question.
When harmed, I'm scared of my ability to turn sadness into hate. I work very hard to not do it but I'm only human.
Even when I do hate the person who has wronged me, I will never resort to a revenge spell.
It's not because I'm scared for their well being, far from it. I just don't want it coming back to me three fold. I believe in Karma way too much.
But for scientific purposes, I can give you a couple of revenge spells from my spell book if you'd like, what you do with them would be your responsability.

I have read a lot about revenge spells, but never used them since it goes against the "harm none" policy.

Q1:Do they really work?
I think it is a matter of belive. If you belive they work, and the person it is directed at belives stongly as well, it will work for sure. Never underestimate the power of suggestion. Whehter or not it works when the person it is directed at is unaware of it, I cannot say for sure.

Q2:If some wronged you in terrible way would you use a revenge spell to get justice?
No, I would not. Some say revenge is sweet but some day it will come back and bite you in the behind. I prefer oral communication (talking) which actually has a quite good effect.

If I were to use a revenge spell on someone who has done me wrong, then ultimately I am no better than the person him or herself. If someone threathens my family I will use a different option.

I think it will. Revenge spells has no return points, and in order for them to work you would have to really mean them. If you regret all of a sudden it will come back to do you damage instead.

Trying to solve problems over a period of time is the best way.

Personally, I would not take for granted ye old ways of karmic justice when involving oneself with vengeful tactics. Seven fold is Universal. Vengeance will be the individuals when the Universe allows such. Just watch your enemies path and you may see vengeance on its own.

I would'nt be concerned if somone cast a revenge or any other kind of spell on me, as my beliefs don't encompass such things.

Seeking revenge is a natural basic instinct, the trick is to evolve past basic.

im not too sure if they work or not (i would hope that they dont :S), but i think that if someone did piss me off that much then i may try it...
after all revenge is a natural human instinct and i dont really see anything wrong with it, i guess it all depends on how that revenge is given out (ie physically, emotionally, verbally, socially etc).

Never would I attempt a revenge ritual. i believe that anything you send out in the Universe to hurt another will come back to hurt you in Spirit, mind and soul.

I laughed when I saw the thread title, because I had actually considered getting a ritual done to my ex...glad I didn't though, as my hate and anger has faded ( we're civil to each other now), and I didn't want to incur that huge negative karmic debt!

Revenge spells will work but remember when u cast a spell on someone for revebge it will come back on you threefold. So it is not worth it to do since in the long run u will come out worse than they are

Revenge is always a bad ideal, karma comes back ten fold to all who do evil. I personally beileve that yes negative energy can be sent to others but at the cost of having to face it when it returns to you, thus I stay away form the ideal of revenge spells.

usually revenge also gets you trown in jail so becarefull because revenge magic may turn into act of a real person

well they do work and I would not ever do one again, cause it just is not worth it to do them. I have felt bad to this day for doing one and well it is scary and it is not always a good thing ya know..

As tempting as any kind of revenge ritual would be... and I've been sorely tempted on numerous occasions, I've refrained... that karma thing stops me every time!

I myself have never performed a revenge type ritual. I have done protectional ones but that was a long time ago, when I say a long time I mean 2 years lol. I don't think I would go that far as to punish someone unless it was something along the lines of they murdered someone close to me. I'm not sure of the consequences it would probably depend on the ritual used. Some could come with almost life taking risks.

i'm wiccan so i don't meddle with revenge rituals. one of the main rules in wicca is an it harm none so if i were to do magic to harm someone it would come back to me threefold. it's not worth it to mess with karma.

Performing the correct ceremony for the ritual will work, yet most people are there own worst enemy... it's just a matter of time... be patient...

Revenge is a beautifull thing.

Of course it would be of hand to use such rituals, as long as the ones wich are working are in ones knowledge.

well i would think that if you put your heart and soul to make it work then yes most definitely revenge rituals would work but i wouldnt use them

I think that such rituals may work if you believe in them enough and the receiver as well. Although I believe in karma fully I have to admit that the thought of sweet revenge is rather tempting. I think I just might......

i wish i could use a revenge spell sometimes. some people just should have a nice spell on them to show them what's good for them. but unfortunatelly it comes back to you threefold so unless i want to get it worse i can't cast them

I can see the three fold or 10 fold and if that doesn’t work then 1000 fold laws come out to play. A byproduct of a student who didn’t listen in class and was then spread as wicca law much to the originators and first wave of Wicca’s dismay as in wiccan origins it never mentions three fold… ever.
So next we have karma, good thing about karma is you can skip paying it back and your next reincarnations can pay the price.
After that if you do subscribe to fear of your actions propaganda may I recommend a witch bottle…. It will stop any magic attacks n bad spells.

I've noticed many stating to just watch your enemy & karma will eventually come around to them. I have done this in many cases & never seen karmic justice play out. Still I try to stick with a similar belief system. Personally I wouldn't attempt a revenge ritual. Still I feel that they would work, but you must truly believe & want what you are trying to make happen.

I think that they would work however myself I would never use them it just isnt my way of doing things.

I'd definately use one. Wrath is my biggest downfall. I wouldn't be caring if it came back x3, I'd deal with it later :)

I have in the past used a revenge ritual, while it did have the desired effect and practically drove the targeted person insane, there were reprocussions for my actions. I personally do not reccommend them. I was unfortunatly in that mind set of yeah magic, what a fun thing to play with. I did a ritual that caused a despised person to think his... well manhood was gone, he could not feel it, see it or anyhting, to him it was gone. Around the time frame that I has set for it to wear off, thats when it hit me. I was like an inner nausea, I felt sick on the inside however physically there was nothing wrong with me. I then consulted a good friend of mine who possessed a mass amount of knowledge of thing of a mistical nature. I told her my symptoms, and her first question was what did you do and to who was it done. Samefully I admitted what I had done. She was quite dissapointed with me, and informed me that when something like this is used it doe upset a balance within the person that is casting, while at first you have the great feeling of HA HA look what I did to you, as time wears on that the effects wear off, pending on the ritual or spell used, because it takes the energy of the caster keep it going it can have adverse effects by draining a fair amout of the energy of the caster. I was then told that it should never be played with and that if the wrong one is done and the caster not properly prepaired can even cause perminant effects, even death. So if you are thinking of using one... do some research on teh ritual you are going to use and see how it may effect you the user rather then the one its being cast against. Hope that helps a little.

Answer to number one Depends on your will ,your anger and what you are really wanting to do. Yes, they do and yes I have seen them in action.

Answer to number 2 If I have been wronged in someway by a person.. Revenge is best served with Karma kicking their ass and my gods taking them down to a new level and to a new devil. I am saying to you are your gods there and is your faith? For you are protected by them and nothing should affect you unless there is lack of faith in your gods or in yourself..

Answer to number 3 It would depend on again on your will and what you did spell wise.

Ps if you use these types of spells remember what you give out you get back so depends on how badly you feel this person needs it.
Personally what I like to do if they are pagan of course is do something not evil just fun. Sick Jesus on them to heal them of all their demons. WOW is that fun… So many people and so little time to harm them in so let Jesus take it and do it. Most pagans shiver at the name so think about. Would you prefer to sick a god that they fear because of society and oppression? Or revenge? Personally the people who do bad things to you look at them and see what you saw in them to attract that into your life so you don’t ever attract that person again to you in another form.. Another thing to think about why harm yourself? Really there is no real point unless you really are that angered that you have nothing better to get the anger then try it.
Depends on how practiced you are and what you are.
Is your faith strong enough? If so are you willing to pay the price?

i read here that sometimes sadness can turn into hate... and that´s true...
sometimes the power of words can be witnessed ... i did that once... i cursed someone and even when it wasnt my conscious intention... it worked!!
now, i am following the Wicca path and i understand that revenge is not the way... we´re not supposed to do harm... but sometimes our wishes are powerful... that´s why we have to be very careful about what we wish...

For revenge, I always send good thoughs and best wishes to those that have wronged me, the best revenge against anyone is for them to see that they had no effect on the center of your soul

They work if you know what you're doing but I wouldn't do it if I were you. There can be terrible consequences.

Revenge is rarely a good thing and may only escalate the situation. Its best to stay away from revenge.

Well im pretty sure base on the comments here that whilst revenge maymake you feel better at the time, you really need to think long and hard if your ready for face the reprocussions to you personal actions. Take heed in the words here before using them is the main message, as you may not like or be able to handle the outcome.

I myself would'nt go to such extremes to use a spell to envoke my revenge upon another.
I do believe that it does come back on you when you do so, especially if your not prepared for the consequences of your own actions.

What you do will come back 3 fold. And makes you no better than the one you are doing it to.....

I'd also like to add to my initial response that the best revenge is forgiveness and happiness. In my opinion.

Whether revenge rituals work or don't you should ask youself "If something erie was to happen, could you face yourself?" In the heat of the moment, anyone would say yes, but what about in 10 years?

Revenge is bittersweet. I have taken revenge, not by spell, and a harsh one, but the truth is that I felt lousy about it, I was no better than he was. I have not had Karma come back and bite me yet, and I doubt it will.

I believe that whatever was done to you does not make revenge acceptable. It is best to walk away from those that wrong you. If they persist and continue to wrong you, kick 'em in the jimmy and turn away again and never look back.

I think that if revenge rituals are done correctly, they will work...but I also believe that whatever you do comes back to you. If you send out negative energy, expect negative energy back.

It's been true for me. I continually wished for my ex wife to have something bad happen in her life...in return, she has brainwashed my kids into not wanting much of anything to do with me. I got my negative energy back.

I've sadly practiced one with my mom and two sisters... It was because of one of my sisters ex husbands. I still think he deserved what he got, but I wish I hadn't done it. I don't think anyone should do them. I haven't seen any consequences so far, but sometimes the worst things take time to happen.

Normally I would never consider it but there was a moment in my life that something happened to me and it was the hardest moment of my life and i wanted terribly to make this person pay in some way. So mentally I tried to do something...and well, it happened, but not the way I was wanting it to at the time. But over time, the hatred went away...the person that created the pain, eventually left the family, forgiveness was made...and i eventually got what i wanted back to me. So in the end..it all worked out. :)

if by ritual you mean deliciously humiliating prank then absolutely. but you have to try to wrong me to get that kind of malicious plot.

I do not personally agree with any evil magic or revenge rituals. I'm a believer in ...send love and light and you will get it back...if someone really harmed me, they always get their karmic justice without me haveing to do anything...I have seen it many times over and over again.
Also, I don't sweat the small stuff either so "revenge" is not on my mind.

Yes they can work but I wouldn't use them. What ever you send out you get back 3 fold. All you would be doing is hurting yourself more than the person you exacted revenge on. Its not worth it unless you want to pay the price.

You can always use "Justice spells" as long as you don't seek more then the appropiate amount of justice.

Generally I am against to make harm 'cause I believe it will come after you.

ThougH! This person tried and at some point managed to hurt me in a way I didn't expect. And I really wanted revenge, I just couldn't let him go with that. It didn't work very well for me, I wanted to hurt him badly but all I did is this; (within a month)
glasses were breakin in his hands
his room window broke
his house's door window broke
he lost his job
his bike broke down
he only was slighty injured
He realised these were happening because of me,
I didn't move a finger, I only cursed him.

I know I might look all evil but believe me it was nothing compared to what he did to me.

Revenge spells can and do work, but as has already been mentioned, there can be karmic consequences.

If you wish to wreak revenge on someone, you're safer casting an awareness spell; if worded correctly will simply help the person see what consequences their actions have caused.

I used this to great effect a few years ago and it helped me gain back a friend who had hurt me without meaning to.

It's all very well telling people to talk about their problems but it's not always feasible.

I always would like to get revenge on people who do me wrong but never had any idea that it could be used in a Ritual sense. I would however like to learn more about that but don't know where to begin.
