Are you able to tell by looking at someone, without really saying anything to them that they are either a vampire or are interested in the lifestyle. If so, how ? What do they give off to make you feel that about them.

well for me it a feeling i get from the person it emminates off, them like a scent so to speak. Now how a non vamp could tell... well if they can see aura's can probable tell as well.... hope thats of little help

I am not sure if they give off anything. I can tell though who is for real and who isn't. I think I can just sense it. Intuition I suppose...

The reason I ask this question is because, no on at work knows me on the outside world. Work is work and home is home to me. But for the last month a woman I have worked with for years keeps coming up to me asking me all these questions all of the sudden about vampires and blood.. etc... Just out of the blue, she has attached herself to me with all of these questions to the point and this is not a joke, that this one woman in my office is so afraid of me that everytime i walk past her she covers her neck, (she watched to many movies I think). I never say anything at all, I just tell her that her stories are interesting and yadda yadda.. Its just strange how all of the sudden she started this.

I know I can tell. It is mostly just a feeling. But something about a person, it is like a kindred attraction or something, not sure how to describe it. But I can tell 99 % of the time.

Thats interesting. I can tell there is something unusual about people. Im sensitive to that kind of thing...unfortunatly for me. The damn spirits in the house i live in know this. Now i wont go in the basement alone anymore...for some reason he likes it down there. stacking wood and scaring the crap out of me.

Only if they are dressed in black, have the nail thing going and perhaps too much pancake around the eyes

I've never really thought about it that way, but those of us into vampires seem to find each other. Hmm food for thought at least.

She seems to trust me very much. She loves to tell me stories about her hometown in Ecuador and the vampire stories and things that have happend there. She just come to me almost everday with another question. Then she just sits and smiles at me all day.. Its kind of funny actually. I mean, I love her, she is genuine so i dont mind her telling me or asking me anything at all.

If it were an actual vampire you would feel their presence. Not someone just into the lifestyle

I agree and think it smostly a gut feeling, So many people are into it. Its not just goth wear or leather its something deeper. :)

In reality I can just tell or just see it somehow..no vibes or auras I just know...I know that thing where you tell the person who might think your interest in vampires is somewhat scary that they take you so literal to the fact that they think you're a vampire ...they just begin to question you to the pont where you think they're delusional.The fact being is that they dont understand the hidden intellegint behind vampiric activity no matter how alarming.

Common bonds are noticeable. It takes investigating for Me though, and asking the correct questions. Only then could I be sure.

easiest way for me to tell is by the habits that they have.

I'm not real sure how I know.But ive always been able to tell when im around other kin (not just vampires).I do belive it has something to do with the change in my energy.

The color of one's clothing is no way to tell if they are Kin or not. Remember Johnny Cash wore all black and he was as far from being a vampire as Mother Teresa was.

I can tell by their energy signatures. An energy signature looks a lot like heat rising from a fire, that wavering distortion that you see above the flames. Those who feed from Psi energiers can also taste/sense this signature at a distance.

I can feel when there are others like me around and they usually can tell i am one as well

Each Mind is attracted to different types of Energy for different reasons...This what gives you and others the different 'feelings' that draw you in different directions...

I agree with Sky - True Kindred always are able to tell their own kind. I think this also works in other methods as well in reference to those who work with different forms of energy (ie a shaman can pick out a wiccan, etc). Which also allows one to tell the truth about those who are actually talking the talk and not walking the walk.

it's that kinda sixth sence thing you get ... you know like when you can talk to some one just once or twice and you are sure you want nothing to do with that person. or i bet you could tell by how they talk of it... if they talk of it like they're not scared at all then they probably don't even believe in vampires. or if they talk about it and have that stupid ass grin on their face then it's probably the same thing
but if they talk about it sincerly with like no wise cracks and aren't trying to expose you to the whole world then i might think the person is interested...

I can sometimes tell, based on the energy they give off and pure instinct. It sounds like this woman either saw you somehow out of work, or she herself possesses a sixth sense. If she is not bothering you, what does it matter? Next time that other woman covers her neck around you, lick your lips and mention how hungry you are.

You can tell a lot about a person not just by how you look at them, but how they in turn look at you.

Eyes are the windows to the soul. In some countries it is against courteousy(sp) to look a man in the eyes, and many like to keep their eyes diverted. If you 'know' as it were, then you can freely look them in the eyes.

i never really thought about it. i just look at someone, if they give me a certain kind of look then i just know.

I belive you can well I can. As I look into their eyes I can feel it inside me like we just exchanged words emotions and we keep a gaze for a few seconds before we then go about our seperate ways. It's like they tell me what they don't want anyone else to know as if a secret. I recently noticed this today infact though it has happened before this was a strong feeling as if I knew them before today yet never spoke nor seen them before.

I think some people may be able to sense it and if its someone at work maybe theyre just suspitious because they found something else out. Im not sure how they would be able to tell though.

My opinion on this is that those that are connected to eachother by energies will know. For me.. its not a matter of the outer core of an individual.. it is is a factor of their aura.. the light which eminates from them. I am psychic anyhow.. So I know those that are most like me. I am very attracted to them and not in a physical sense. Once again this is my opinion and how I can sense others.

Call it a 6th sense or intuition. I have learned to follow my instincts. They are rarely wrong even when I choose to ignore them they never fail me.

That's not true. The aura of a vampire is distinctly different from the aura of a normal person. And vampires generally have a sort of presence, like I mentioned earlier.

As many people before me may or may not have said, it depends on the level of intuition you have as well as how well the other person wants to be noticed for what they are or what they are interested in...

I can simple see if one person wants to be part of the vampire's lifestyle, I cannot see if a person is a vampire since vamps are not real neither are the people who claim to be one.Its not something of felling just a simple gesture or way they respond and/or even how they talk.

I dont know, you see its a very strange situation. Now for the last couple of days she wont even look at me.. I dont know.. I dont get her yet. She will not look me in the eyes at all now. I did ask her today though to try and find me that article from her country about that girl that was attacked by a vampire.. Supposedly the news and specialists camped out at this girls house after marks were found on her and were confirmed to be that of a bite from a vampire and he was caught. This was supposedly many years ago..She is in her 50's so this happened when she was still living home there. She said she would try and find the information out. I just told her it was an interesting story and would love to see the article. Other than that, her questions have stopped and her attachment has now seemed to turn in the opposite direction. God, I hate that place..

I think RowenTears said it best. It's all about energy signatures. The fire is always lit in those who posses the gene, it just takes a trained awakend mine to see it.

Or at least to recognize it. Some unawakened can sense it, and some may follow it unconsciously. The awakened are the ones who truly understand what it is they sense. At least that's my opinion.

Its a feeling I get...It kinds of just draws their attention to me..If you know what I mean...I can walk into a room full of people and, eventualy I just know I have to talk to this person or they want to talk to me...It can be quite spooky to my gf sometimes

just by studing a person you can learn many things, there is a all most all knowing feeling you get about someone the first time you meet them you ether know they are or you know their not.

I am not a vampire, and I can tell. its in the eyes. ever scince I was a child, Ive loved looking at peoples eyes, and I would always know if something was "different" about a person. not just vampires either. now a days, I have been getting better at telling who is who.

i can tell by how they speek, how they act, what they like (music books, etc.) and by looking into their eyes.

I find, in my general dealings with the public, that I personaly can not tell who is what or interested in what.

Just the other day I saw a teenager dressed, in what you would precieve, as Goth. Happened to then see a sign that advertised a production for a play. He was in costume. Saw the same teenager the next day and you would never have thought you would see him dressed as he had the day before.

Personally I can tell when I'm close to a vampire, I can ussually tell weather its sang or psy as well, I'm guessing that its a scent or something that triggers my psy abilities allowing me to scense another.

I can't say that I can tell but I usually get impressions from people the first time I have contact with them. It's quite useful sometimes when I get a negative feeling or vibe.

yea, well sometimes... some people you can just tell and some people have aura about them but others sometimes you cannot tell and you would never suspect. i guess it depends on the person and whether they choose to flaunt their lifestyle or not

There are many people who will tell you that they can tell what someone is like after first meeting, however this is usually very flawed. You cannot tell too much about a person from aura and eminance alone, it takes much more than that, simple tasks such as talking to them can provide you with much information.

I think you can definitely tell, and for me it's definitely something in their aura. They have that quality that makes everyone take notice of them and draws people to them.

Yeah, if you can see auras, it's way easier, because the aura of a vampire is a lot different.

I can see auras and I can tell right off without even speaking with a person if theyre like me or not.

The situation is that it seems that people come up to me and all of the sudden ask me questions. I dont act, dress or speak differently from anyone else in the building. Well maybe a little, I am sort of the outcast there, but I cannot understand why they come to me and ask. I never say anything about my personal life to them. I dont even have the answers, that is why I am here.

I think it depends if you are in a state of hightened awearness or not. Sometimes I can feel that a person is different somehow or that the person in question sences something in me. sometimes I feel nothing from a person one day and something the next I dont understand it myself to be honest

honestly you can never tell but unless you get to know someone deeply and then you can even tell if he is for real or fake. that is upto my opinion, and as for work it should alwayz be work, where i live and come from will never find another vampire, i live in a country where if i say to anyone i am a vampire people will laugh at me, yet ignorant they aretalking about, i was kicked out of a job when they noticed how sharp my teeth were and they said i am scaring the customers away yet i was born with them, i was working at Crepaway (Dinner) as a bar tender. so it is really creapy to give a way your personal life at work cause it can make you volunerable.
and where i live i am the only vampire in the whole country.....

Oh work is definetely work for me. I dont open my mouth there. I sit in my own little corner and do my work. Its just been strange that on say break time, or when I go outside for a cig that someone will come up to me and start a conversation like this. Dont get me wrong, I mean I am a person that will spout off my beliefs to a certain level, but not on the whole. But at work, I dont really say anything.

hmm although many vampires say they can sense a vampire for 100 percent... i doubt it... ive known for six years that i have realized what i am, but i havent changed neither my aims in live nor the way i am.
i dont show that i am a vampire and that with good reasons.. for those who want to blame me for that.. feel free..and never no one even if he is a vampire found it out... if you show your aura then someone might feel that you are, but if you dont want the world to know then it stays secret..

No I don't think I would be able to know that. Especially now a days where people just seem to follow the latest trend to fit in or not. It would take me talking with the person over a period of time to figure it out. And if they were sincere or not.

Well maybe what it comes down to, is that I am the one that needs to put up my guard. I must be letting things through without realizing it. I know one of the people is interested in Vampirism quite alot, as a matter of fact, after talking to her, she has joined this site, but the 2 others, well they know nothing at all. After to speaking to someone, I am able to read them. I can tell if they have a brightness about their soul...or all i can describe it as is a muddiness. Not dark, but i mixture of light and dark, confusion.

well...as i see it..you can tell..because most of them give off that they are..or that they are into the life style or not..but most do not give off signs that they are..because it makes them more Mysterious to those that seek..or those that watch them..and also..sometimes body movement is a god way of telling as well.that's if you know how to seek for it..or see it.

Well I can't really figure out if someone is into a certain lifestyle or even a vamire just by looking at them.

I do however tend to analyze people i meet ....figuring out if they would be someone i would be friends with or someone who would stab me in the back. Other than that the only thing i do when i look at people.

You know, I've always been good at reading people. I've never just known they were a Vampire, but I have gotten the feeling that they could be.

But I think you guys have a point. You more then likely will be attracted to people of your kind, even if you don't know it yet. I.E.: Gut Instinct.

this is an intruiging thread. i'm not sure if you can actually tell with most people, but if there's a way i'm extremely interested in finding out how... i'd love to meet (in real life) people that are into the lifestyle.

you can tell by looking into their eyes, but you have to look deep into them to see their souls and what they really belive, many can pretend and hope to become a vampire or imatate the lifestyle, but very few people have the true craving, and embracment capabilities to the idia and or lifestyle

It takes me a short while to figure out if they are, and if they say they are, if they are for real. Some people that say they are a vampire you can tell they aren't. I think its alot easier to tell if someone isn't than if they are.

although i dont pay too much attention, im sure id get a feeling.

i beleive its possible to tell of a certain vibe they give up like an aura but to the most extent you cant really gauage the quality of there soul

See, i just think its a feeling you get when your around them. if you click well or not. You can always tell but i dont think you can by jsut looking at a person..its what is inside that is what is their real idenity

I can do it with people who do enegry work they kind of have a glow about them. It's harder if it's just a life style for them.
