Can the onset of death be seen? Is it visible like a signboard even if the host feels fine?
It is very much visable it just takes a person who knows what they are looking for to find and see it. Not many have the gift of it..Its basicly forsite and thoughs that do are basicly ridaculed and shuned because they can see it comeing...
I think it’s more of something one can sense then see. Similar to a 6th sense… I recently heard of a dog that can sense when someone is near to dying and will go to that person and stay by his or her side till they pass. I believe that many people have this same gift as to be able to sense death, but not see. Here is the link : http://www.insideedition.com/ourstories/inside_stories/story.aspx?storyid=885
From my experience as a Nurse. YES Death IS visible.. Countless Times I have seen patient on deaths Door.. SEE their loved ones, that have ALREADY passed over.. COME to get them... Some have been Mentally sound.. and telling me they see it.. SOME have old age dementia.. and see it...
SOme start asking to see certain people, and make final plans, it is like they KNOW they are going to Die.
there are other accounts where a person has had dreams or visions days before the person dies. i know that when my grandfather died on the 13th of jan. i had a dream telling me that my grandfather had died. but hey yes u can see death before it comes. u have to see the signs of death or know what u are looking for.
every person that ive known that has died i could sence it before hand...i dont think its a psychiac premonition so much as general intuition...
Yes, I do believe death is visible, I could tell by looking into my grandmother's eyes that it was her time and she told me she knew it was, then passed away later that night.
i think death can be seen just by looking in the eyes of the person that u think is going to die. i know with my grandmother she was waiting to die. i could see it in her loving eyes.
I don't think it's so much "visible" as it is "sensible".
I believe a person can "sense" when it is their time rather than visualize it. This is usually common with older people. Both my grandparents could sense when it was their time.
Like most things that occur in this plane, there is a wave that preceeds the event. This is noticable by some who are attuned to it. It is possible to avoid any given event once the wave is percieved, however this does not nessesarily prevent the event, only avoiding it.
Illness is also percievable, it is usually visible in the aura, or tangable in the energy they exude.
...I can see the spectre of death dim the aura of a person who is to soon to die... this ability gained me the title The Angel of Death... it was not a gift I cherished but it meant that I could prepare the client for death so that they could cross over without worrying about those they left behind...
yes, if you have ever watched someone die, then you know what to look for
I don't know that you can see death... But I am quite sure that there is a feeling... An atmospheric change, perhaps, that accompanies death.
I, personally, don't think that it's visible Perhaps someone might feel it coming. I doubt this is always the case though. If it were visible, what would it look like? It's not like we could really ask someone, is it? lol
To say that death is visible is to say that death is a thing. I don't think that death is something. I think that death is just the lack of life. I believe that some people may know when they are going to die. They might be ready to die and we may be able to pick up on that. I don't think that we can sense death itself. I have seen a perfectly heathly adult die unexpectedly and there was nothing in the air. I honestly believe that they had no idea death was coming and I really don't think they knew what hit them.
Death can be seen..If and only..it is choosen
to be.It's not if you can see death..its usually IF death wants you too see.you know what I mean?
Ive dealt with death alot in the past years... many of my very close family members have died and it pains me to think about it but anyway.. no I dont think death is visible.. or senseable.. I dont think we'd feel so much pain when it comes to pass.. death is unexpected... I wish it wasnt!
i think you can see t but not in the way you mean. For example you may see it in someone's eyes. Im sure its much easier to sense death, like animals do.
Children im sure sense it and can feel when a close family member are close to death.
A week before my Great grandmother died, we were visiting her, and i knew it. And right after we left i saw...something. A really bright, shapeless figure walk into her home.
My sisters saw it as well and we talked abotu it when we got home. Im sure adults sense it but maybe in a different way. Or they just ignore it.
The thought of death, and dying, is rather depressing. You need only to walk into a hospital or a nursing home and see/feel it.
My dad passed a year ago and yes there were certain signs. He gave my dog the biggest hug. It was his little buddy and the smile went from ear to ear. He also held my hand tightly. I had my father-in-law bless him. My father-in-law said my mom was there by his side. Then he passed shortly after that with al of us there, like he was waiting for that.
Yes i believe there is..my friends grandfather passed many years ago and he showed many signs of passing..he was a very bitter man...around the time of his death he became nicer and acctaully told people he loved them...i think thats when they all knew he was going to die soon. I believe in many cases oyu can but in sum there is no signs at all. I have seen people change there lives years before there death whether its good or bad.
Some say that they can see the figure of Death but not necessary because they are going to die.
Here there are some stories of Death encounters:
http://www.westgatenecromantic.com/encounters.htm
I just wanted to add that I think my dad was scared till I told mom is waiting for him. It was comforting to hear my father-in-law say she was there.
I think whether or not it is a gift is debatable. True, you never want to lose someone you love and it would be torture knowing, but think of how many people that don't get to see people they love or say goodbye when the death is sudden as in car/plane crashes and such.
In a way it would be nice to know how much time you have left with someone and spend every second with that person telling them how much you love them, giving them hugs and holding their hand. And how sorry you are that they have to leave, and possibly heal some old wounds that families sometimes have.
I definitely believe death is visible. I've worked at a retirement facility and we had to deal with it on a regular basis. People dont just start showing signs, but they start to just get a gloom around them. It's very interesting and sad to watch at the same time actually.
heard of people seeing things on way out but i cause we wont know till its our turn to go . anything is possible
I have a friend whom lives in hawaii. There are legends there that she was telling me about several months ago. She said a girl seen the typical discription of death. Black cloak, skull face and boney hands with a scythe. This girl she said that was in the story seen it in a school bathroom while she was looking at her self in the mirror. She was so scared she ran out of the building and was never seen again!
I believe that death its self, the celestial being that may guide others to the other side exists. I believe that it doesn't always have to guide the people to where they are supposed to go, or even perhaps that these creatures are just taking peoples lives for part of the balance? Maybe thats just all they do?
Whatever the case, yes I believe death can be visible within whatever form. I also believe it can be sensed before it comes or even when it is there.
I have heard that same tale that if you see the grim reaper in your dreams or in a mirror you can expect to be dying soon.
I have experienced a loved one coming to me in a dream and telling me that it was time for them to go and pass on. That was my grandfather we had a close and special connection. He had alzheimers and died the night that I had the dream.
I have also read many articles where those that can see and read auras can see death and disease in a person's aura.
I to have heard the story of the Grim Reaper, if you see him then you can expect to die. I have had a loved one tell me that they have seen him, but he had cancer and was on some pretty strong pain medication so maybe he was just seeing things, but he did die soon after that.
It is very possible that there are those who have a level of awareness or the actual gift of knowing this, I myself have a high level of awareness, but don't have this ability, whether its a gift or a curse I do not know.
I think it has to do more with intuition, especially in a hospital it's not difficult to tell if someone is dying...
But actually seeing death itself? I don't know...
I think the only way death is "visible" is maybe a feeling..you know a paranoia kind of thing..or like...a womens intuition...you have that feeling something bad will happen.
To some people, yes, but I don't think everyone sees it.
Those who have been around death know it, it is like seeing the lifeforce disappear. Those who are sick also have signs of death coming soon, their smell especially and the eyes. Most of us are connected to our family and have had times when someone says they have something to tell you and you already know. The night before my father passed I called him. Told him I had a severe case of heart burn, something I have never had before, he said he had it too right then, drink milk and take Overcounter stuff and call him in morning. There was no call he died. I remeber the hearburn lasted until about midnight, the time he died, odd
Unlike hollywoods final Destination, where the actors catch glimpses of death, we on the other hand do not see a force unseen. we may feel that death is soon to arrive. a premenation or a sudden feeling before the final heartbeat, yet to see the gim reaper no for now we add a new mystery of what is death and what does it look like. no just energy running out.
I don't think death is visible but more a feeling..... When my grandfather died there was nothing different looking about his hospital room just the feeling......
ive personally have seen my family and friends die, didnt no when they were going to die.
but i new some time or another they were going to, so is that what u mean by seeing death
i don't think so rick i think she is meaning as in see him there physical
Well, if you're able to get a dead person confirm or deny, I would be very interested to know.
death is not visable but you dont pass till its your time to go from this earth
I have often wondered if the dying could see death. I have known two elderly people who have passed. One was suffering from alzheimers and rarely new where he was or what was going on around him. The day before he died it's like he was totally lucid. I've wondered if he knew he was going and saw something that reassured him.
Sometimes. But a lot of times...unless it's heart related or some odd accident that's unexpected, the host will usually know when it is their time before anyone else...and that is usually when they will stop fighting and move on to the spirit realm.
I believe a person is unaware of when exsacly when he/she will die. If you look deep within the eyes, yes I do believe that one can see into the eyes of death. Only if the viewer wishes to look deep enough, will they see death herself....
I think that it is visible but more so if your about to die, maybe you can see Death then more potently than any other time.
i don't think death is "visible" but it is something that can be "scenced". people do see their relatives when they are dying are not seeing "death" itself but just the ones that care for them and want to help them down the right path.
yes i have to say it death is visible i seen it happened to my father he had cancer that went from his throat to his brain and everyday i seen him in the hospital i seen death take more and more of him until he gave up the fight to live and he died so yes it may not be what your looking for here but death comes in different way and yes i seen it when it happened to my father
I'm sorry Drak, and I agree with him. I saw it 5 times in a row a few years back. even my friend that was shot on the head or the friend that broke his neck... they weren't sick but you could sense something.
This is a topic that I have not given much thought to, but will try to express my feelings as best I can.
I believe that death can be seen in a shape or a form. When people see loved ones I do not believe that is death I believe they are there to help with the transition to death.
I do not believe that death can be seen by everyone, but only those who are more sensitive to the spiritual way of this life.
i think personally it is but you have to know what to look for and like they sayif an old friend comes to visit and a dog howls evrynite around you it means death is going to occour
I have never been around a dying person or seen anyone die, but I've heard that it's often possible to sense or "see" death coming.
In the person's aura death can be seen. In humans and animals alike. Their aura thins out and a black spider web threads through it. Eventually that web will become their entire aura and they will die. I have only seen this in the terminally ill, not someone that was going to be murdered or kill themselves. But I think that it would just be a much faster process. Last Oct. a friend of mine, Linda passed due to breast cancer. She was a wonderful woman and I miss her quite a lot. Due to watching her aura be taken over by the web I could acknowledge the fact that she was dieing before it happened. I was almost prepared for it. In a sense I saw death wrappings its fingers around her slowly. Yet I just think it was her time and nothing could have stopped it, we just have to let her soul know that she was loved. I think that if people were more in tuned with eachother's auras we could know in advance that something was wrong. Far more in advance than we do now and we could say a lot of people. Cheat death in a way, because we could see it.
It all depends on who you are... some can visibly see the soul leaving the body. OR so they say :)
I believe Death is visible . I believe I have seen the figure before around certain people and after that those people had died .
I've personally never seen Death but I have smelled it in the aura of some people I have met.
I guess you could tell that your dead if no one can see or hear you!
Well you know, one of the sayings is that all that actually is visible, cuz we are actually all conected, and trough all, but our eyes are not alowing us to seee the truth?? So they say, death is visible, if you see that you are not dieing but being trough it? Some process? A change of form?.....
Scrw that, what is of potential interest is to strip one self off the Qi body, but in a special ritual, so not to end up a brainless ghoul or so.....
I do believe that it totally depends on the person who is looking but yes I think it is very possible to see death even before the body is showing signs of it coming.
I agree with my coven sis bathory on that . i think if you understand yourself, adn can meditate adn clear your mind, you can see more than you ever thought possible. you just have to know how to look/ when to look.
Not sure if I took this the correct way btu her eit goes..
Death can be seen or maybe even a feeling of it comming. I had a grandfather the day of his death put his wedding band in cardoor handle (He never took this ring off) and prior bought my grandmother a christmas gift (that they had stoped buying for one another years ago) months prior to Decemeber. He had heart attack at a Church Bizzare.
Also ever had pet dog run off and find a sucluded spot and lay there and die?
so yeah I believe you can for see death comming..
i believe you can see death coming i almost seen it in myself a few times...its scary
I was in a car crash 2 years ago and we were ment to spend the day together but he go a headache and had to leave early. I believe he knew from the minute he got up that he was going to pass soon, then relized he wouldnt make it through the day. he started talking to me about his will and teaching his sone to drive his jeep. I think it's a feeling we get. We know but it is a hard feeling to explain. and how do you tell some-one I am going to die today?
Personally I know when a loved one is about to die unfortunately it is the day of so to speak. I firmly believed that they know when they will pass due to what they tell me. My grandfather saw his parents right before he passed and was begging them to take him home. My grandmother, who passed away 7 years later, saw my granfather and I could see a semblance of peace and happiness in her again right before she passed. My grandmother had this gift of knowing when others would as well and I inherited it from her. I have always known through sensing it but it pertains to family only.
i think death is definetly visible we just dont want to notice it
I think that people can feel it, and others can sence it... however, not in a supernatural way.
We have always lived, and losing that feeling of living is something that we have never consciously experienced before, and this must be a very unique experience. I am personally not religious, so I just can't say that I believe that death is a crossing from one plane to another. I see it more as a state of mind, and that state of mind is something that is probably so unique to any other.
I think so. There is a cat in a nearby nursing home that goes to lay with patients right before they pass away. It's obviously visible, or sensed at least by the cat.
I like to think that death is not only visible but alive...a sentient eternal skeleton with a hood and a scythe...and a really bad sense of humor.
I think it would be very comforting to know that at the moment of my demise, Death will show up and offer up some kind of bad pun related to how I'm dying.
Crashing bus = "THIS IS YOUR STOP, FRIEND"
Falling from a building = "WAS THE ELEVATOR BROKEN?"
Poison = "DON'T BOTHER ASKING TO SEE THE DESSERT MENU"
**Felix** OMG funny!!
I don't think so unless you count the obvious "Do not smoke within X feet" sign and you ignore it, lighting up...
Heheh I can just imagine looking down and noticing a skeletal hand holding out an ashtray for you as way of letting you know it's time to go.
What a 'card' Death is...(and by card I mean both a funny guy and the tarot card)
Death as in the end of organic life is the division of energy. Some forms of energy can be seen so it is possible.
to me.. I can't see the person is dying...but rather I can feel the persons weakness. but each person is different. some CAN see it, some can feel it, and some never know!
Very much so! Apply a little common sense and you can see it. For instance if someone is rather frail and are often in a daze it's a warning sign.
You can see many things if you open yourself up to the world around you. I don't think it tetters so much around any 6th sense or special ability.
I can tell when people don't seem to be well but not much more than that, wish I could.
For me... as a lawyer dealing with the dying... I believe I can see those marked for death in the near future and those which are not... I had one client who died last month... he was told he had a week to live 10 months ago... against my better judgement I told him that he would have the time he needed to put his affairs into order but no more... he thought I was crazy... I discovered from the senior partner that he blessed me for what I'd said on his deathbed... I'm happy at this but I hate myself for breaking my principle of not telling people what I see... many are not ready to be told...
well i don't know about being able to see it but i do know there is a certain oder to it ..... i worked in a nurseing home for many years ..... alot of ppl died while i was there and they were fine but they had a certain oder to them and after that smell it wasn't long and we had to call the family......
I have seen death. I work currently as an oncology nurse, and have been in the medical field for fifteen years. Sometimes you can smell death it has an unmistakable odor as it approaches. Sometimes you can see it in someone’s face weeks or months before the end. Sometimes their sprit feels diminished but not always it can be that their presence just feels diminished. A dead person is heavier than a live person, if you put them on the scale there is no weight change, but they are heaver and harder to move. The light or shine of the soul leaves the eyes. Though some linger at the edge a long time, a dead person is unmistakable.
I think think those who choose to see, accept it and believe it, will see it.
I see it yet my brother and boyfriend doesnot
my brother is 13 and my boyfriend is 20 soon to be 21 in 2 weeks
I find Cyan's take on this fascinating... angels and demons are supposed to be affected greatly by smell... consider the tale of Raphael and Tobit....
beign around death all my life...i know this to be true...
i think that it is to the person who is going to die it might not be "death" it's self but could be a visit from some one who has pass before them
That is a bit of arcane lore to have on the tip of the tongue Uzziel, I admit I had to check my references to be sure of the story. I did not immediately remember anything other than the sparrow droppings, and vaguely something about a lust demon. :)
The demon Asmodeus who tormented Ecbatanna, by killing her husbands 7 of them I believe was associated with lust. (all of them were named henry, if Tobias had been named henry we would have sung henry the 8th in church.)
with working in the medical field .. i have never seen "death" but you can feel its presence when ur with someone whos about to die
I personally do not think that you can see death, the only people who could tell you that are dead, i think that you could sence if you are going to die...
Visible, no. I think you can sense death though. But I don't think death actually has physical form.
They say people know when they are going to die. I guess we will really find out when we die
yes becasue the sign of death leargers on one and will be notice by the ones u love so yes death is visible
I am not sure if it can be seen but I do know it can be felt or sensed. I worked as nurse for a while and I could feel death approaching with certain patients I took care of. Some of them said they could feel it comming soon as well. So I think it's more of sensing of death than something seen.
Death is something you can Sense more than See, I agree. I honestly feel that there are things that we are not meant to see, therefore we cannot. For those of us who can handle it's presence, we can Sense it.
Now, only those who are ready to see Death are the ones to see it. However, those are the people whose time have come...
So, I guess that's the answer, more or less. The Creator gives us no more than we can handle at any given time.
Has to agree with the others here in Healthcare.. Death is Highly Visable.. Its a progression and many things occur Some not all huge and highly noticable but those who are around them can see it .. I had worked in the health fiweld a long time and seen death countless amount of times and each is different and each we saw coming..Each Person knows its coming and when it will Occur.. I had a patient once Ring their Bell and Anounce to me They would be dead by the time i got to their room and sure enough it was so.. Freaky as it is Death is visable to those who pay attention
it could be visable. It's a strange thing but for me before someone close to me dies i can hear a bell ringing in my ear. Really weird.
