Have you ever experienced any paranormal experiences? I truly believe that a ghost/spirit doesn't necessarily have to pop out and say HEY IM HERE LOOK AT ME! It can leave signs and make you get a feeling or you can even smell it..for instance my grandpa passed away almost a year ago...every now and then I smell him and I feel him with me...I'm not saying im sylvia brown or anything but I think that ghosts and spirits aren't here to scare people they just want help to cross over or they miss you.

I agree completely with you. I really doubt that the majority of the times spirits or ghosts- whichever you prefer to call them are really trying to scare us when they come through. I think they're just trying to check it with us, or even ask us for our help. It's just because after we've reached puberty-we're less likely to be so accepting to the idea of a ghost- especially with the ghost stories and scary movies that become readily avaiable to us. It's just easier for us to label something different as bad or evil than it is for us to try to understand it

it happens to me a lot...i feel my grandpa with me a lot...and sometimes i see random people too..or even shadows next to people..its kinda cool tho..to see spirits looking out for your friends..ya kno?

Being visited by spirits is sometimes exciting for me especially if i know it is a family member. But it can be scary too. I've had things destroyed by spirits in my home and was almost harmed. but it hasn't frightened me away from them.

I agree with you. Most spirits are just here because they are having trouble crossing over, or they wish to watch over their loved ones. Though I think there are some entities out there that are negative.

i've had plenty of the negative experiences. to the point i've had to fight them off. it's not fun.

I've had tons of experiences myself. Both me and my friend have concluded that my 6th sense is a bit stronger than most people's. I see things out of the corner of my eye, some times, something likes to play with me at my dad's. I just get feelings and experience things that happen just too much to be explained. But, most spirits either can't get into Heaven or Hell or they have a task that they haven't completed. They're not really bad, they're just missunderstood.

it happens quite often, but most people think that they will be called crazy or somthing of that accord. personaly, i can only rember ever feeling awkered about it once. but that was also the first time i got high. not saying that it was a freakout, i realy say a spirit. it was a long dead relative.

I have seen and interacted with spirits. Most of the time they communicat to me by emotion. There was one that I would consider my friend, I met her when she tried to scare me, she wasn't a "negative" or "bad" spirit, she just thought it was funny to see people's reactions when she'd knock things over or make random noises. The majority of the spirits I've had communicate with me have been frustrated because they can't get through to the people they really want to talk to.

so has anyone had a spirit, "attack" them in some way? because a lot of people say that "they can't hurt you" but I dunno if I believe that

I have been attacked, yes they can hurt you. If you know how you can send 'em packing before they can though.

I have never had a spirit attack me, not to say they couldn't...the spirits around my house would rather hide keys and tie the babies hair in knots.

Do you think its possible though?

Is it poltergeists? over active imagination? or just pure bull?

I can't recall ever having an experience with a spirit, and to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure I want to either. However, my younger sister says she can "see" things.

Just call anywhere I live Paranormal Exp. R Us..... No matter where I go I always have spirits about. Between my daughter and I they are pretty chatty and so we always have someone round. Just last night we had a visitor. It was a little girl that looked to be about 10. She and my wee one played and talked. I dont know if she will keep sticking around or not but I guess time will tell.

There Are Many Reasons A Ghost May Stay Trapped In The Physical World, Some Just Come To Visit Or Say Goodbye, But Others...

My grandpa died of cancer, but, before dying, he was loosing his sense, however, 2 days before he died, one of his best's friend passed away but noone told my grandpa about it, despite of that, that day, he saw his best friend who came to visit him, he even ordered one of my aunts to bring his dead friend a cup of coffe, it was really reaky, he was talking to the ghosst, of course noone could see it =/ spooky.
And something have happened to me, but just the usual, you know, things in home have been moved, etc.

I have experienced several paranormal experience some that recur and others which were one time occurrences. When I was a kid I would see things but I would usually only see a spirit once. After moving into my house in New England I discovered that I have a few that are on the property. Only one is a angry spirit though. The other two are fairly tame.

This isn't particularly vampire-related, but rather in Native American lore.

When I was 10, I went to the AISES Summer Camp (American Indian Science and Engineering Society), and I became very, very sick. I went to try and sleep in the bunk in my cabin, which had a small window right at my face level. As I toss and turn in sickness, I suddely felt I was being watched and looked out the window.

There, facing me, was perhaps the most frightening face I've ever seen before or since, though it was not for malice in its face. Very hard to describe. I want to say that this spirit was a female. She had thick, wiry, bushy black hair, a stark white face with black spirals on her cheeks and patterns on her face, deep red lips, and eyes with no iris or pupils that were yellow. Her teeth were like those of a vampire's, white and long and sharp. I lay transfixed on that image and she 'smiled' at me. I was afraid, but somewhere inside me I knew she wasn't a malevolent spirit. I closed my eyes eventually, and fell into deep sleep.

I woke the next morning without illness. No more fever, no sense of fatigue. Nothing.

I have often wondered who the spirit was or where she came from, but what I do know is that she visited me when I was sicker than I have ever felt before, and that I was healed.

Yeah I've been attacked, there has been plenty of times I woke up being choked by the one dwelling in my home.

i've chased one ghost and metanother face to face. i've alsobeen in and out of the bermuda triangle 13 times.

I agree that most are here just to check in and say hi as it were. But some.. mmm some do want to scare and shock lol. Usually people do no change a great deal when they die.. so if they were idiodts and mena spirited when alive lol it does not mean being dead is gonna make them nice. And of corse there are those spiris that wihs to talk to us but can not seem to figure out how for man different reasons and anger can show itself in many ways.

But as a rule ignoreing them does alot of good lol I have gotton so used to seeing them and haeing them around me that I do not really notice it anymore unless it stops for a bit.

i have a little exp. with ghost. i once had a ghost lift me off the ground and throw me about 3-5 feet now i don't know if someone is just tossed out of the way by nothing but air but i think that is a big yes

I've had quite a few experiences i've seen my spirit guide, i hear people walking up and down the stairs, i can always sence someone with me, most spirits are there to help you or want you help them but there are some who can harm you that's why when ever you go out you should always protect yourself against them, when i'm drunk the spirits become more active that's why i don't drink much anymore because it always affects me in a bad way.

i have had plenty of experiences and not all of them have been positive.

about 7 years after My grandad passed away, My brother and I were setting at the table with my grandmother. We both at the same time saw My grandad standing by the kitchen sink, watching us, as if to say"just making sure your safe". He was in His favorite hat.

I was a member of a ghost hunting team for awhile, and have witnessed all manner of paranormal things. its really pretty interesting.

Prolly the most disturbing one was a few months after we moved into our new house. I was in my parents bathroom taking a shower and in there bathroom they have a large mirror- and outside the bathroom there is another mirror on the wall- perfectly angled to one another. And I got outta the shower and was brushing my hair when I see in the mirror behind me a woman, long stranded messy hair all in her face...
scared the CRAP out of me

i have seen things and felt things.... i belive they exist and i think for the most part the ones ihave experienced were family.......coming to check up on ya see what your doing etc.....makeing sure your ok that sort of thing....

I have been visited a number of times by my mum. I smell her perfume even think I've seen her never directly but at the corner of my eye type thing..I have animal spirits that follow me all my life. I had both a cat and a dog that are still with me after there deaths but I was very close to these animals when they were alive, so they stay with me now.
People I would see as a child walk theu my room stop and talk to me..I would tell me parents I had seen so and so last night to have shocked looks pass over there faces and they would tell me that couldnt be as this person had died the night before..
I still have these expiriences at times not as often but from time to time I am open enough to them and allow them to talk to me..
I again never saw this as paranormal but as a normal function in my life...

I completely agree with this... A few years back, my godfather died, he was a good fireman, and died of lukemia. There are rare times that I feel him near me.. Same with my dads grandfather. He was my favorite.. There are times that I hear his laugh, and spirit. He loved me so much.

Hello and good evening, Has it not happened to almost all? Feeling the presence or smelling the familiar scent. The sensation is quite intriguing...

Over the years I have developed a "ability". I can hear peoples response to a statement or question before they say it. I cant do it all the time but it is happening more & more. I have no control over it at all. Some times I hear something without a question. Example: I was about 10 years old in the living room watching TV. My Mom was in the kitchen cooking dinner. I heard her gasp in pain, I asked her if she was OK. She replied,"what are you talking about?". No more than a minute later she Gasped again. She burned her hand on a pot and looked at me like I was Satan himself. I will answer my wife before she ask's a question. I actually dont "hear" her I just know to answer. I have looked around to find out what this "ability" is, but all I can find is "Clairaudience". The definition is not exact. It says hearing voices from another realm or the dead, which I dont do. Does someone have any idea?

I was once locked in a basement when there was no on home. I left the door open, and as soon as I got to the bottom of the steps the door slammed shut and locked. The weird thing was that the lock wasn't on the doorknob, but a deadbold on the other side of the door. I had to stay down there until my (then) boyfriend got home. It freaked me out a bit, but I can't say that it scared me away from spirits. If anything, it made me more curious.

I have had many different types of experiences. From photographs that I have taken showing something out of the ordinary, to that unmistakeable feeling of the hair on the back of my neck standing up, to actually feeling a presence, and on one occasion, seeing a free floating dark form pass in front of me.
I agree that I do not think that it is a spirit's intention to be malicious and frighten the living, I doubt they are even aware that we are there.

My parents lived in a house down in plymouth,u.k,this was before I was born. that was haunted by the ghost of a nurse,it happened at christmas time two years in a row.when they were sleeping the nurse would walk round the bed.They were told that it was someone who died of an incurable illness about acentury before.I personally have only seen apperitions once.It happened spring of 93.I was walking home from a night out,I took the short cut through the grave yard of the church I used to attend,when i got near the carpark,something caught my eye,a campfire,there was this strange mist around it,there was a dwarf playing this consetina,and four girls dressed in elizabethan type clothing dancing around it,a strange sort of dance.Then one of the girls saw me stopped dancing and made the come here gesture.I ran.The next day when I was on my way to college I walked through again to the spot where they,d been.nosign of campfire,two big tombstones were there instead.

I'v had loads but I'm telling you one of my storys that mean alot to me.
well 2004 I met Steve he was old but a great friend and taught me alot about life and spirits and energys and so on. We were coming back from a day out early due to a head ach and the car crashed and Steve died. I didn't want to do anything he taught me again. Things started happening after his funaral, only little things but things none the less. It started off when I had the window open ad I could smell his scent of old spice I didnt forget but it was in the back of my head. then when I was in the bath one day and I was the only one in I heard tapping on my computer and a knock on the bathroom door, then when I was trying to sleep (I sleep weird pillow over my eyes so I can't see anything) and with Steve being the prankster in life he flicked my forhead from underneath the pillow. after that I started learning again. He was just getting me to learn n let me know he was there after death.

I have encounteres spirites a few times in my life. My grandmothers house was built on an old cmetary and I alwaysed sensed spirits there.

I think anyone who has ties to paranormal is more open to this therefore spirits. Clean and unclean. Appear to them or leave remanents for them to discover. Ive experienced many and even been haunted myself. I dont know by who or why it lasted maybe a half a year. But if I didnt liek something it would break or get hurt (if it was a person). One of my good friends who also is liek me believes she saw an aura of black surround me while I was sleeping.

I believe in paranormal experiences. I have had several dreams where I have communicated with someone that has died that was very close to me. My great uncles house is haunted by a ghost. I am not sure if its friendly or not. It likes to shut the doors on people and lock them in rooms. My uncle hasn't allowed anyone back upstairs since my cousin was locked in and turned lily white after her encounter.

Well ever a near death drowning on the coast of Oregon, I have felt and seen spirits. Some not good with a eerie vibe, but most just like to move stuff and have a nice and calming vibe. No attacks though.

i know it can happen myself, when i was growing up my mother somehow always chose a haunted house and something always happened nevr boring , now i live in a apartment and i dont have anything here i find it kinda boring

When I was a child, my mother often spoke of seeing or experiencing spirits in some way. She is also a schizophrenic.

I wonder, how often is it that we really deal with other things? How often is it a figment of our imaginations, something to comfort our troubled minds, or an unseen foe to plague our existence?

I suppose I do not understand how people can accept these things at face value and not question these experiences, or to write them off as being definately "true" as they define it.

As for myself, I have never had what I would call a paranormal experience. At least, nothing that couldn't be written off as freaking myself out or budding paranoia.

My fiancee says she can see spirits and I have before but I believe they have reasons for not crossing over too.

I dont know about the whole crossing over thing, but i do know that i have one spirit that follows me where ever i go, sometimes does horrible things other times i dont get bothered at all. sometimes i thing it is there to protect me from people that i should not be around.

I agree with the whole "crossing over thing". It's bogus crap written down to make a cool drama series on TV. I believe that one can see these entities and even interact with them. I have experienced them several times, but never seen where they willfully harm another. That's my experience. And I have heard where people are attacked by ghosts/ spirits.

there are some people with strong attraction from ghotst and spirits, maybe because of their aura...

some have their third eye opened, thus it is easoer for them to see ghosts even when they don't want to.

i can say that my third eye is closed because i rarely see ghosts but there were times when i can feel their presence near me. sometimes i just caught a glimpse of them passing in front of me, making my spine tingle and chill..

but of course, there are ghosts who want to scare and some who needs help in crossing over. it won't be proper to shoo them away, maybe we should be brave enough to talk to them and ask what they want..

Hmm never had any ghost experience, but sometimes I drift away, on returning the bulbs in the room explode, donno if this goes under paranormal.....

I have had experiences with the dead but I feel it was because the graves had been disturbed. The house was built on the cemetery.

Lamia12, that is freaky but true! About paranormal experiences, my children are very aware. They have described one of their Great Grandmothers whom they never met. She's around! I sometimes see things out of the corner of my eyes. I've also had visits in my dreams!

the doors of my house constantly open and close by themselves. and pretty much anything electronic likes to freak out a lot. my dad died in the living room and i think he is still here because the doors he used a lot to enter/exit the house (mostly the basement and kitchen doors) open and close the most, and there is one light in the basement he used all the time, and it's always turning on by itself...creepy stuff huh

i have lived in haunted houses and at first they scared me but then they began to intrigue me...maybe thats why i am like i am LOL

Ive posted already but I have to post this. It happened yesterday. I was at my cousins house and I was in his room and there is a hole. I stuck my hand up there cause he told me to and I felt something wet and semi globby dripping on my hand. Like semi hardened blood. I pull out. True enough there is dried blood on my hand. Completely dry. We shined a light up there. Nothing.

I would have to agree with you. I often have feelings of being watched, and sometimes smell smoke, when noone here smokes, and we live in the country. I am assuming it could be my father who passed away 19 years ago. I believe he is around watching.

I do believe in this . And yes I 've experienced this alot. Especially after my mother died. Alot of strange things happened . Noises , stereo turning on by itself , and the sounds of pots & pans in the kitchen ( this is at midnight no one was up ) . I'm a beliver.

I had my first ghostly experience this past week. I've been visiting with someone and I was in the upstairs room. When I noticed that there was someone staring at me in the window which is on the second floor. There are no other houses around either. When I turned around, I saw a black shadow move quickly against the wall. I searched and did not find any person up there. Then I went back to my computer and the same spirit or ghost was staring at me in the window. It pointed at me and then the closets started opening and closing on their own. It was a little scary.

Yes i have..I have a ghost in my house right now....it throws things and moves things around. I have seen it and my animals know when it is here.

I have seen and felt things.. I believe they (spirits) can be anywhere... Just wether you are capable of knowing.

i think everyone has experienced one time or another....they just may not realize that is what it was....

There have been times that I have felt another presence in the room with me and heard voices...they bother me a little but not as much as others.

I was in tenessee when I believed to have seen a silouette or figure on my hill. pretty crazy.

I've had a few....like...seeing a figure at the end of the hallway in our apartment building....coming home to pennies scattered when we left the house and then in a circle when we came back with no one home...doors slamming and the sound of wind from underneath the door but no windows open...or a smell of cookies...or roses...I don't really believe in ghosts but something tells me that my great grandmother keeps her eyes on me more than just from heaven.

I have had a few experiences. Very discreet though. A few times I am not even sure of there was a spirit or my imagination.

I once lived in a house where everything was fine during the daytime but that once night fell there was an eery feeling that came over me and nothing in the world would make me go to the master bedroom...Hubby was a truck driver and was gone alot and i refused to sleep in our room if he wasnt home...then one night he was gone my kids were asleep in their rooms and i went down the hallway to see a figure standing in the foyer between my childrens doors..we left a few days later for good

you know how they say babies can see things that us adults cant... well one day my friends and i were doing six wooden sticks (dont know what it is then message me) connecting with whoever decided to join our converation... later that night i was in my room and my little brother was on my lap... he turned his head to look behind my right shoulder and started laughing... at this moment i looked over me but i couldnt see anyone and i was alone in my room with him... i felt something cold on the small of my back and i looked back at my brother who was still laughing... now i dont know what was going on and my brother was 2 years old so i was at this point scared and excited of what was happening

I once experienced a cold chill blowing towards me in my apartment. The door was open to my balcony, but it was a warm summer evening with no wind blowing....the chill passed right through me and I started shivering. Right after that I smelled a really strong floral scent, like a really old perfume. I never could explain that....not sure I want to :)

I've had several experiences on and off over the course of my life however since the cat which I had the closest bond with died tragically at the beginning of January, I have had several occurences where I have felt her rub against me or woken to see her sleeping on me. I also have noticed my other cats interacting with what appears to be nothing when either I or my g/f are feeling upset thinking about the cats death. They appear to speak to something that we are not able to see then immediately come over and begin kissing us as if they were instructed to do so.

While in England on a three month assignment, I spent a couple of weekends with a local lady. She was into witchcraft. ( a word she used herself not wiccan) she would read my cards , my palm, and scry useing blackened mirrors. One weekend I was there she said she had somewhere to go the next morning but, that I should sray there until she returned. I dozed in an out until I heard foot steps on the stairs. Thinking it was my friend I got up to greet her. No one was there. I headed down stairs to find the house empty. I realized that the house felt realy cold. I heard the bathroom door upstair slam so, I ran back up the stairs. As I got to the second floor, I felt like I was being watched. The feelings I was getting was like that of dispare. I dressed, left the house, and returned to the base. Later my friend called asking why I had left. I explained what had happened that morning. She told me she thought she would be back before I got out of bed. That nothing would have happened. That she had spirits watching her house. They were probably irratated that I was there. After that I never slept in that house again.

I have exprienced paranormal things some good and some bad. I've always been intrested in that kind of stuff and i like to find out more about these spirits like why they are there and what they want. I find it all very intresting *smiles*

I have had paranormal experiances. some good and some bad. but i have learned a great deal from the spirit world. they can teach us things never thought possible

I work in a famous building that is 100 years old this year. It was built on a site of another notorious building , Newgate prison in London.
During the night you always hear the wood in the building creaking and unexplained noises , no screaming or chains being dragged along the ground , but you always feel as if there is something or someone there.
I'm sure it's an over-active imagination.

hmm sure do....ive had many experiences with ghosts or spirits or what ever a person may choose to cll them....i can sense my friends that have died, also im in the navy and the ship im on has atleast ten ghosts all of which ive had contact with...some of them have moved the phone around or poked me or what ever...ive even seen a couple of them....point is they are there ....

I have had a million paranormal experiences. Some scary and some not. My younger brother died in '96 when I was 13 and since then I have seen him several times. We haven't spoken to each other, but we have stood next to each other especially when I am at his grave.

I have seen other spirits and quite a few demons. I have been chased into my closet (when I was younger) and trapped until morning by a demon. A really really pissed off demon. I know his name, and who he was truly after, but when I got out the next morning, my poster on my closet door was shredded and deep cuts were found all over my door. When my father saw the door, he tore me up thinking that I did it. I couldn't tell him what happened . . .I knew he wouldn't believe me.

I've been in battle and struggles against three different spirits for my own soul/spirit. I was told that even one of these spirits took my breath from me and I lay as an undead for 47 minutes.

Being on a level of the spiritual as I am is dangerous and very scary at times. But if I hadn't become 'aware' I would have never been able to see my little brother after he died. I'm glad to have learned and experienced everything that I have.

i have had many paranormal experiences through my life, it happens a lot to the females of our family.
it especcialy happends a lot after my dad died.
i think one of the most weird things that happened where all the clocks in my house (and watches) all stopped at exactly the same time, which just happened to be the time of my dads death..... strange

Yes i have had experiences with spirits and ghost over the years. It happened the first time when i was a little girl and living with my grandmother... After telling my grandmother and my mother all about this little girl and her little brother in my room and me talking to them; my mother looked into the history of the house.. to find a horrible story about these childrens mother had drowned them in the bathtub.. and i have also known the smells.. My grandmother passed and even now.. I can smell her.. lilacs everytime..THere have been one or two scary experiences.. like when i did visit Amityville.. and the house there... I literally had my hair stand on ends on my arms.. i had this creepy feeling in another place in Ct. at a graveyard where it felt like my hair was being pulled and i was feeling like i was being poked with something that burned...

i have had all kinds of weird or unexplainable things happen to me in the past, but whether i count those experiences as ghost or not is kind of questionable. I have actually been visited by people that i have never known to exist. I have smelled smells of loved ones that have passed. But i have also had things fly off of things at me while experiencing strange things. I once visited the cematary in Rome Georgia at night to help with a ritual that a friend was doing. Before we even started the ritual we felt strange deitys there and heard smelled what reminded me of something dead. Not just felt or smelled 1 diffrent entity but several, sometimes more than one at a time.
We decided to get the hell out of there when a rock flew up off the ground and hit her in her left temple right above her eye. We had both seen the rock sitting near us and it was out of both of our immediate reach. Both of us were paying full attention to uor surrondings and no one else could have done it and neither of us did. there was nothing near it, so it couldent have been launched by fling of stick etc........

I have been visited by ghoust almost every night, majority of them just wants to talk, but I had some unpleasant experiences with them, as trying to choke me, or lifting me up in the air...
But I've got used to it...

I had premonition in a dream once and it scared the crap out of me. Nothing before or snce so..I suppose I'm just not very psychically receptive, lol

My kids were very distraut but then my husband decided to go and take us for a drive and we ended up look at puppies.. i was not happy about it but my children were..there was one puppy that came up to me.. i showe dno interest.. but he was determined... hesat at my feet just stareing up at me.. i finally gave in...i pet him.. but something happened...He did soemthing that resembled my husky...he leaned his face on the side of mine and just nuzzled me as my husky would when i was sad or not feeling well... Needless to say we brought him home with us.. the second night.. my husband was tring to crate train him but i dont like that.. he whined and whine that night.. i finally fell asleep but during that time i dreamt of him whining in the crate and carrying on.. when i went down to check on him.. i found my husky laying next time him comforting him.. thisdream has come a few more times.. i now dont pt him in the crate he sleeps in our bedroom on and by my sdie of the bed exactly the spot whiskey .. my husky.. would lay...
thought i would share.. ithas has helped me.. this dream or visit.. whichever you want to call it.. but i know whiskey is here with me.. and helping... that is and was her nature...

I feel that we all have felt or even seen paranormal experiences however some minds block things out that they do not understand and try to scientificaly find out how or why it happened..

i think that ur experiences depend on if u let them happen or not.

Sometimes I will be just sitting around with my family and I have smelled the pipe tobacco that my grandfather used to smoke or the rose lotion my grandmother used to wear.
