Ok, I was wondering if anyone could tell me their belief on this... If two people are really close friends/family/lovers, can you tell when something major is happening to them, even if thousands of miles away? And also if two people are going out and the one loves the other, can you fell if they are cheating on you, and if so how accurate could the feeling be?

not sure if this belongs in this section or not. but any way, i think sometimes you can, but also sometimes those feelings can be nothing more than insecurities and an over active imagination, the best is to find proof of your feelings, but yes, i think that there are times when you can feel when something is happening to the other person, its all in how close you are to that person. and that is my opinion only

i have just learned how strong the bond between two people can be. so yes i do believe that it is possible to sense when things are wrong with the people you are close to.

I loved someone many years ago who was in the military. He called me up on day and admitted that he'd cheated on me. He just about crapped when I told him exactly what she looked like AND what they did! (No, I'm not with him anymore.)

Back in the day when I was with my wife, we both were that way. We could almost always tell what the other was doing and when it was being done. Perhaps it was from knowing each other so well....who knows.

yes I do this all the time...also I have noticed that even with ex boyfriends i know things sometimes that is going on with them...but with the one I am with, as soon as he cheats i always know it....so yes these abilitys are possible....

you know... it's creppy cuz every time an ex calls me on the phone for a day or two before he 'pops' his way into my head.... so I always know when to expect them to call... it can be useful because they never surprise me. (it annoys them sometimes)

My sister and I often suffer the same ailments even though she lives pretty much across the country from me.

When she was pregnant I would feel sick in the morning and when she injured her shoulder rock climbing, I had felt the same pain before we knew she had hurt herself.

Oh yeah. Anyone you're bound incredibly close to, you can feel what their feeling, sometimes. The more empathic you are, the stronger the feeling is.
The degree of accuracy really depends on the closeness of the relationship, and how tuned your senses are to that sort of thing.

i do think that it´s possible... that they can perceive things from the other and know exactly what´s the other doing or feeling...

yes here take twins for instance some can feel when each other is hurting or in trouble and other twins can't but it also could be how close they are too each other too..

I have had enough experiences with my lover showing up at just the right time to thwart any infidelity, to believe there is some psychic connection involved. Some times it becomes dangerous.

Several years ago when I was attacked one night, the next morning received a phone call from a frantic friend in New York that awoke during the night knowing something had happened to me.... so I do believe it can happen once in awhile something just alerts the other that their friend/SO needs them.

This is always a truth when it comes to bonds and connections. My wife is the very same nature. We both experiance the same as we are both deeply involved with the care and compassion that resonates from our love for one another.

Everyone emanates or broadcasts brain waves and electrical impulses, but some are spiritually tuned or wound tighter so they are more sensitive/receptive to them and or more capable of sending them out. So Yes... But I think it has more to do with genetic wiring than learned behavior.

Well to tell the truth I am with someone who lives in Nebraska and yes I can feel him and how he feels about me and there are times that the feeling is stronger than others. So I am not sure depending on the person is how strong it is and the connection I cannot feel it with everyone only ones I truly care about and I can tell when something is wrong.

So to answer your question I believe it depends on how you feel about the person.

I agree with VampiressRosalie. It all depends on your connection to that person. If you have a deep bond, you may feel things that they are feeling, espically if that emotion is strong.

and could you tell if they were cheating on you .....well it is possible to tell since they would act diffretnly and you would get diffrent vibes from them and the feeling between the two of you slightly or greatly feels diffrent the only advice i have since this has happend to me with my hubby is believe you gut feeling and your sence of self dont be pushed over or led estray trust me it will happen and in the end it is a horrible thing to go through .

I believe you can sense energy and mood change in someone if you are really intune with them and yourself

I'm very close to my best friend so much so people call us 'the borg'. we think the same things at the same time, try & call each other at the same time, buy the same clothes, wear EXACTLY the same outfit without planning it, buy the same random items from the supermarket etc. etc.

Intuition is a powerful thing. My experience is that when I have been up to no good I'm usually getting questioned about it. I have since stopped "being up to know good" in the relationship department, but it used really piss me off. I would get questioned about things that she would have no way of knowing about. If you think your partner is cheating, on drugs, suicidal or whatever, don't ignore it. Chance are you are probably right on.

I chalk this up to the 80% of our brains that we don't use yet. For all we know we are all telepathic but have not tapped into that ability yet. That some how when wee create strong bonds of love, caring ect.. we open up that part of our brain to sense more around the ones we love.

I really do like the concept of people able to psychically know what is going on with a loved one, but sometimes it isn't that simple and you're gut doesn't give you a 100% reading on the situation. I'm sure many abusers truly think that the innocent hello must equate to two people sleeping together and warrants a good beating.

I think there are some close bonds like you described but they are all dealing with multiple births - Twins, triplets, etc.

i believe it is possible. the hardest part is figuring out who, if you have a connection with more than one person.
i've had a close connection with the girl that is now my gf (wasn't until only a few months ago), for a few years now, ever since she helped me realize what i was (since she was the only one to see the real me when everyone else saw something else). i have a couple others i have a connection with because they are such close friends to me, practically siblings, but it's more difficult to pick up the "signal" from them than with my gf.

I do believe that two people can feel each others emotions when they are connected. My ex boyfriend and I know we are soulmates and everything fits like a glove. I can feel his love from time to time. I want to find a way to communicate with him telepathically because he is hundreds of miles away right now. I know we have this strong connection. :)

The connection is true, and it is possible. As far as something as diliberate as whether they are cheating or not would probably be closer to a detection spell rather then a 'feeling' but that too depends on the level of the caster and the level of that connection shared.

I think the connection between twins is a good example of close connections with people at work. I have known twins that could feel when the other was hurt. One would cut herself the other would feel it and could be miles away from her at the time. I remember one went into labour and the other rushed to hospital lol as she was feeling the pains. So I believe it is true and I think it is a soul connection more than anything. Possibly someone your familiar with from various past lives.

Well obviously, given the amount of things that happen behind the backs of people that feel close, that kind of connection isn't always there. Family members regularly screw other family members over. People are shocked to find out their spouse is dead or injured in an accident. Sure there are those that have said they 'felt' something was wrong but if we ignore those signs when we feel them, their not always useful connections even if they exist.

When a connection is strong, but I mean very strong, close to the point of almost being twins, then yes you can feel when something is happening to them.

They did scientific studies back in the day (can't remember the years off hand) with identical twins to see if harm was caused to one, if the other would yield the same result. Example: burning one and seeing if the other feels the pain and possibly yields the burn mark.

I honestly believe that it is possible... as a mother i believe in mothers intuition.... I have had experiances where I have had a random thought of some one i dearly care for and have that connection with and found later that they call or i see them that something bad had ahppened to them when i was pondering what was going on

yes I do KNOW that it is true because me and my fiance Mike have a spiritual connection, we try to give eachother privacy but when you concentrate on the connection you can usually tell what they're mood is, adn most of what they're thinking about along with what they're doing. we can even feel like physical things.
a connection only works if you REALLY love someone like a LOT so if you would cheat on that person I doubt you'd be able to get a connection.

Yes I've experienced strong connections like this before. I have friends that live out of state and I'd always know when something just wasn't right. I'd call to check up on them and they'd be crying about whatever was going on.

And as far as the cheating lovers thing goes, I say that's mostly gut instinct. Not sure if it's the connection itself. I had a feeling that my ex may have fooled around with someone else while we were together, but I never questioned him on it because he was the type of person who would fess up to something like that.
