Do you believe that dreams can predict what is going to happen or it is because of chance?
I think for those who are in tune with themselves . Can do this within reason. I do not see why not. Most ,I believe think so superfically , they cannot pull it out of themselves.
I am undecided on the topic because it is difficult to tell. On one hand I think it is possible, but on the other how can one really be sure?
this is hard.
many of my dreams come true.
i believe that they can predict what can happen because of things that really have happened in your life.
our brain is really more powerful than we think it to be and let it be.
however i also believe it is just chance when it comes to other things.
yes dream can be premonition and can also show us what will happen. No doubt about it, plus I know for a fact that my mom dreams of things that happens like some time after.
Oh sure, I believe it happens all the time. The problem is it can't ever really be proven to be prophetic or just coincidence. That lies in the belief of the individual.
I have had people tell me they dreamed something and then it came true. I believe that it could be considered predictions.
I know people who have predicted the future after meditation it is usually the easiest to do. I have been able to see a foggy glimpse of the future from time to time, but nothing major.
i think that this is true. On January Friday the 13 of two years ago. i had a dream where my mother had called me at 235 in the afternoon. and told me that my grandfather had passed away. when i woke up at 230 that day i told my exgf that the phone was going to ring in like five mins. she said i was full of shit. but after five mins my mother calls and tells me the same thing that i had saw in my dreams.... so yes i think that this is so true. u just have to be in tuned with the outer realms of reality.
Yes, I've had a similar experience before, but instead of sleeping and dreaming I was mediating. I dreamed that I person I knew was going to be a car wreck in 2 hours. Sure enough, he was in a car wreck, luckily it wasn't fatal.
I agree strongly, but the first step is LISTENING to them. Many people dream and think nothing else of it. When you start taking notice your dreams get more intense and start meaning much more. For future reference try this site for finding the meanings:

Dreams can be prophetic but alot of people can't tell the difference between a premonition or a dream and just ignore until after it happens.
thats true, but drums can be just that.
a dream and nothing more.
It's definitely possible. I've done it myself. With me it's really small everyday stuff for the most part though.
I thought about this just today. About a year ago I had a very vivid dream about standing in a Post Office sending several boxes. At the time I thought the dream odd because I nearly never go to the Post Office to send things. Today I found myself in a Post Office sending several boxes. My first thought was Wow! I dreamt of this. Then after thinking about it I realized that it didn’t matter that it was today or tomorrow or five years from now. Of course I was going to be sending boxes at the Post Office at some point again in the future. Just coincidence. I think we like to read a lot into coincidence.
I don't think dreams prodict the future exactly I think they show you something that could happen. i don't believe our choices have nothing to due with our future.
I had a dream a few years back, I visited a fortune teller. She cast runes, as well as did a tarot reading to extend each rune. The fortune she gave me, so far, has been entirely accurate.
I've never had prophetic dreams, but I have had prophetic daydreams.
Sometimes my mind will wander, and I'll begin to daydream about random things, and if I daydream about a certain something a lot, it usually ends up happening eventually.
I believe there are gifted people for whom this is possible but on a whole I feel that it is just our unconcious steering us.
I believe that some dreams are prophetic, some are flashes of past lives, some are lessons or warnings, and others are just the product of that eggroll that you really shouldn't have eaten right before bedtime.
I think some people can dream what will happen in the future.
This has happened to me before. I dream of something happening, or even if it is just part of a dream, and then a few years later something just like it happens. I only remember it when it happens. I believe.
I think dreams can definately tell the future to some extent. I ve had quite a few dreams where things have been played out that have then occured in realaity. Very freaky when it happens too.
I do believe dreams may interput the past or things to come or have come to be, a few of us believe as we dream the mind can rip the vail of time and see glimpses in what is to happen. for many have been in de jua vu. The mind is a powerful tool yet not brought to the limits of what it actually can achieve.
as stated in a previous post though most don't even realize they have had a prophetic dream until. the events are happening...then its atriduted to dejavu.
It happens to me alot, though my dreams are usually disjointed.
I believe that dreams can be as such.
Look at cultures around the world that tell stories of leaders and elders who have been able to tell what will happen from a single dream.
If you have a vision or a dream in later days becomes reality I would not say this is by chance
Some dreams can predict the future. Its just hard to figure out which ones are real or which ones are dreams...
Yes,very much so.And they can reveal things that are happening at present in another place. It has been proven to me over and over again. Not only to myself either. And they have a certain feel that is absolutely impossible to confuse with a normal dream.Which anymore,I dont have.At least for me.And not once has there been even one detail forgotton.
I for one have had many feelings of I seen this I done this before only to recall I have dreampt this. Not all dreams come true so when they do it is a bit of a shock. Sometimes it is freaky and sometimes scary. I believe it is our sole coming back from a journey so to say when we have those dreams and then we travel down the path to when it happens. I believe we have a parrell universe we travel and our sole travels between each one.
One of Australia's most famous Bush Rangers Ned Kelly had a Dream that he was in a Inn having a gun fight with the police when he saw all these funny looking animals walk pass during the fight. He dreampt that he died not long after seeing these animals. He wrote this in a journel he kept.
In his last battle with the police he saw camels, elephants and lions and such that escaped from a travelling circus not far from where he was. Not long after he was gunned down when he made his last stand.
So yeah I guess it does happen.
I once had a dream where i was in a car accident and about a week later it came true
Yes I very much do. And for those in which they do not remember their dreams or wish to incduce more prophetic dreaming, place a bit of "yarro" under your pillow at night. (Tis an unharmful herb) :)
I believe that certain dreams can be predictors of future events, and have had many such dreams. As Oceanne stated, these dreams have a distinct feel to them. Once this distinction is recognizable, then it descriminating between ordinary dreams and these others becomes easy.
I have tried to have this same thread a few times but it was shut down by mods.. I never could understand why...
To the point Yes I do.. It happen quite offten for me. It can be some thing small and silly like standing in a store some where when some thing odd happens to HUGE life changing event. The issue I tend to suffer form in this regard is that I tend to have these dreams to far in advance so they don't make sense. I will not know the people or the place int he dream and there for don't always understand it till I am standing there in that moment in time and have it happen then I have a scary sense of DaJavu (spell) ...
I believe they can if you are gifted enough to actually know what it means and remember it, most people don't even remember their dreams they think they are insignificant.... so yes I believe it can..
Well I believe Joseph from the Bible was a fascinating intrepreter of dreams.
I am not so quick to think everyone has the gift though. Sometimes things 'just happen'.
My son, now 11 has this gift. He has dreamed of a pregnancy and a fire. Both of which came to pass.
He tends to dream of only things that are close to his heart.
He drempt that my cousin, his second-mom was pregnant and two weeks later we found out that indeed she was....
He has also drempt of his dad's house burning to the ground, again about two weeks later, it happened.....
After that event he talked to me about the dream....and says he is scared to dream. I told him not to be scared but to just let me know when he has troubled dreams for now on.....and we can talk about them and go from there.
I am sure that it is possible for someone's dreams to actually be predictions of events soon to come, but most often I would have to say it is coincidence.
I very much believe in prophecy dreams as I have had many. I think a person has to be in tune with themselves and open to messages to be recieved.
I beilve some have the abiltity to see the future in their dreams. and some claim but tell only lies.
I was three when I woke up crying in the middle of the night, dreaming of a big white house on fire. My parents tried to get me to go back to sleep, but I was sure it was real, and I knew that someone who meant a lot to me died in that fire. I was so convinced that I had them out driving around in the middle of the night looking for the fire, but they never found it. They still remember the terror and heartbreak on my face, and driving around for about an hour in the middle of the night.
Seventeen years later, after I had pretty much managed to convince myself that it was never going to happen and I didn't need to be afraid of getting too close to people who lived in white 2-story houses with big forches on the front, the house I saw caught fire, and my friend's 6-year-old son didn't make it out of the house.
I can't come up with any other explanation than a prophetic dream for that to happen.
It's not the only time either--just the earliest one that other people remember.
I think some people can do prophetic dreams and others claim to be able to, but really can't.
I believe dreams can be prophetic. I believe that simple deja vu is in its own way prophetic dreaming. Many people do not remember their dreams therefore they claim deja vu when something triggers their memory.
Yes because I have had dreams where I have met the people in them several years after I had the dream and had same relationship with them as i did in the dream.
My mother would like me to add on here (because she just turned her comp off to go to sleep) that she had a dream of being told about her brothers death when she was 17-18 and that he died when she was 27 and it was exactly what happened in her dream. She has also had other dreams that have happened but that was the one with the most impact on her.
I believe in this whole heartedly. This happens to me too much. I will have a dream and one way or another it happens, esp the bad ones. The dreams come to me like warnings.
Speaking from experience, I think prophetic dreams are true but I also think that you can't induce this sort of thing. It just happens and when the actual event occurs you realize that you had dreamt it before.
i would agree with thta. As I think alot of epople have had them and didn't realize it until the event actually happned.
I have always wavered on this issue, not knowing if a dream I have that comes to pass is prophetic or simply just deja vu.
I have had many dreams come true, but they were never anything earth shattering or life changing, so I don't know if it's just deja vu or not. I am sure that there are those with prophetic dreams, but if they are truly prophetic or just coincidence, I just don't know
I belive that for some people they can.I don't personally have the gift but I know of a few peoplel that have dreams that give them direction
i believe sometimes i can see things before they happen , alot of people do, and somethings happen others done, i think its all in which type of esp your starting to develop
Some dreams are just dreams but others are completely prophecy.
No, I don't think they are.
Unless a person unlocks more than 10 percent of their mind, I don't think the ability to do so would be possible.
i think that if your subconciouse is alive and wellk and has anything to say about it it will definatly b ring your concious life to its attention
well i was going to post some usful info but alass my brian has desided to go on vacation......damn mephlycan
when in a dream state you are more open to suggestion and more likely to "hear" messages someone may be trying to pass to you. Be it a spirit guide, angel, relative etc...
Yes, I have had dreams that have come to pass quite often.
I also have dreams that have come to pass as to whether it is prophetic or simply deja vu? I don't know.
I think dreams can be powerfull indicators for the future, i have had dreams that have come true, before.
i dont know about that. most dream about things that have already happened or things bother them, not necessarily about the future. BUT maybe some get a glimpse of things to come. how much... i dont know.
I would say that sometimes dreams do give warning or notice of changes that may happen in one's personal life...now dreams on the scale of say something out of final destination then I would be skeptical...
I used to have prophetic dreams all the time, but I hated it so much that I block them out. It took me quite a while to achieve being able to block them out. I first tried to change what would happen as soon as I recognized events from a dream, but that usually ended up causing the end result of the dream. They also tended to take the spontaneity of life. There's also a lot of things I didn't like going through twice.
I believe they are very possible. I had a few dreams as a child that came true, but that hasn't happened as an adult. Maybe the more I delve into my spirit life these kinds of dreams will return. Who knows...
Rev. Ravyn
Just an after thought here. I have recently had a dream of a friend and it has come to pass. The good thing is that I had mentioned it to her before it happened. She was way excited about it as was I.
On a serious note of course if your brain or body is trying to tell your soul something ,it will, when you are asleep you are vulnerable therefore more suseptable to messages.
Yes, however sometimes it may be similar to a day dream.
I believe almost anything is possible. Be interesting to determine how many folks have dreams of that nature but don't remember them when they wake.
It is entirely possible to have prophetic dreams. I know this is a mild example at best, but at times, I'll dream about seeing someone I haven't seen in years, and then I'll run into them the next day.
Sometimes I do believe that dreams can be a vision persay. But i also believe that it all depends on the state of mind you are in before you fall asleep.
I have had a dream multiple times about someone accuring my grim reaper necklace and since then I keep it with me
I do believe that dreams can be a prediction of some sort.
i believe that sometimes you can be warned in dreams... even when it may sound crazy... but dreams can show you things...
I do believe in prophetic dreams my mother and myself have both had them, and when the thing do come to pass we just have to laugh at the events because we were warned. The problem is when the things do come to pass it's like watching a train wreck you can't help but to be surprised even though you saw it coming a mile away.
I don't know if it is so much prediction as maybe deja vu or mystical dreaming of a sort.
..as I believe I have prophetic foresight into alternate timelines, I feel my answer would be 'yes', it is possible to "see" a future, albeit a future that one can change, given free will and the opportunity to do so.
Based on my personal experience I will say yes, but that not all people have this ability.
yes, Prophetic dreams are real and do happen. In my experience they are usually brighter and more intense then your garden variety dream.
This is why it is a good idea to keep a journal of your dreams.

I'm torn on this subject. I DO believe in psychic phenomenon. I DO believe in empathic powers, channeling, linking, etc. I do also believe people can see the future however, sometimes I think their seeing the future is more coming to a logical conclusion than it is actually seeing what is to come. Kind of like when you watch a movie, a lot of times about halfway through the movie you can plainly see how it will end.
Yes, some people can have prophecies while awake ,for others they come while sleeping.. I am usually awake but very relaxed when I have prophecies..usually right before sleep.
I believe dreams can predict whats going to happen if you read into them correctly or just to a certain level. Or if you look at anything long enough.
Dreams can help you work out things that are troubling you in your mind and your subconscience so depending on whether you can interpret them as a prediction or not you actually created the outcome yourself. People have many paths to choose from and can have forsight of what can happen by making the correct or wrong choices if they use all their sense.
With meditation (easier) or if your born with it (rare).
I do believe in this, mainly because me and some of my kin are capable of it.
I think dreams occur because of what has already happened and we relive that time in our dreams.
i think dreams can predict. i've had dreams about strange things and have had the things happen two or so years later. *shrug* could be coincidental, history supposedly does repeat itself.
I believe our dreams tell us things that either we consciously missed, or that we'ere unwilling to accept. Dreams can also tell us a lot about ourselves- our fears, anxieties, wants, dreams. Sometimes, dreams can even give us an actual glimpse into our futures.
in my opinion:
if you are told about your future by a psychic, your subconscious suggests
"this person is psychic, so they must be telling the truth" and believes everything being said.
if i'm not mistaken, your fate is partially based on your belief of what will happen.
if you interpret dreams, then you will most likely believe the meanings of them
yes the other day i woke to tell my husband that his friend was going to be in a car crash and acouple days after he was. freaked my husband out he asked me not t dream about his friends anymore.
Its not the only one
i dont know where these dreams come from these are not something i could already know they are from the future
Not chance.. I have prophetic dreams ... I can tell most times when its some thing that going to happen verse just a dream. They feel different to me. They don't always make sense to me at the time because I may not know the place or even all of the people yet....But when I am in the moment its is a strong case of Deja Vu..
yes i do
reson why is becouse i have dreams of people ding and they come true and i had one about my self one time and if it wasnt for that dream id be dead today from a drunk driver
I believe because I have dreamt of stuff, and have had it happened in real life about a year to two years later.
